Excellent people true Dog lovers. Took my Nikki in this morning for her grooming and summer trim, they did an excellent job and Nikki loved them she actually didn't want to leave. Now every time I go to the door she thinks we are going back . They have a introduction package that includes a double wash, brush her teeth, trim their nails, clean their ears and check for any other issues they might have for only $49

As a military family we trusted Scenthound with our two Golden Retrievers, it's very hard to find groomers that are trusting and willing to help and support your hectic schedule. We were very fortunate to find scenthound and wished we would have found them sooner, our dogs Waffles and Biscuit love coming here and just know where to go every single time. As our time comes to an end, we definitely want to encourage anyone to just give it a chance and let the results speak for themselves. The staff is amazing, the place is always clean and welcoming! Thank you again Scenthound for always taking care of Waffles and Biscuit !

I decided to give this place a shot for my very anxious/fearful sheltie's first ever professional grooming experience. I was really nervous about how my dog would react, and about making sure she was handled with the utmost care and compassion. I called ahead and was given a generously long and helpful explanation of services and answers to my questions by Shien. Upon arriving, Katie helped us check in and was patient and understanding and helped reassure me and answered some additional questions. I got some updates throughout the service which really put my mind at ease! When my dog came out, she was not even the same dog I walked in with: she was confident and excited and even greeted a stranger in the lobby! The staff said she did amazing and I am confident that she was handled with love and care throughout this process based on how happy and relaxed she was leaving the appointment. I am so pleased with our experience here and we'll definitely be coming back.

I put off writing this review because I figured I got what I paid for. I got a deal for my four dogs to get a basic bath with two towel drys, two blow drys, and one dog got a featherless trim. Right when I got in there was a very very large staffie dog that was being brought out that was clearly so dangerous around other dogs that two staff members had to put themselves inbetween my dogs and it while the owner dragged him out. The dog was growling and huffing the whole way. I noted that the staff did the right thing by protecting my dogs and I but I could not shake the nervousness of leaving my dogs there when they groom dogs like that. All dogs deserve to be groomed but with a dog THAT large and THAT violent I could only think of the possibilities that would happen if he got lose. I told myself to just let them try this place and trust the staff and left them. My little morkie came out looking awesome and they noted she was the easiest one to clean. My labradoodle came out looking okay, his feet and legs were still completely dirty. It looked like they washed his head, upper body and tail that's it. My Aussie came out looking okay. She got a featherless trim that both my mom and I noted was not even and I had to fix. Her face was dirty and her feet also were dirty. My maltipoo looked like nothing was done to her. Eyes full of goop, dirt in her fur, they maybe got her wet and that's it. I know my morkie is the easiest when it comes to grooming but that doesn't mean you don't just half-ass the dogs that don't like it. Again, I didn't take pictures and I didn't write this review right after my visit on October 4th, because I figured for the discounted deal I got they just didn't do a great job. However I'm now writing a review because I just realized they never cut my Australian shepherds dew claws and they are now so over grown they are pressing into her legs. Nail cutting is apart of their basic service and missing those claws is now causing me to take her to a new groomer to fix them. We had already decided to not bring our dogs back. Mainly because of the large dog that gets his service there, partly because of the results we got back but primarily because the membership didn't make sense for us. However, not cutting a dogs dew claw can cause serious issues to their nail and arm if it continues to grow. I'm glad I noticed it now and not at her next, NEW, grooming appointment.

Before discovering Scenthound we would take our corgi/aussie to our local Petco groomers where they would do a good job. The difference with Scenthound is they do an amazing job! Almost like I didn't know what the standard for pet grooming service was until I, and little Bourbon, experienced it. When checking in they tell you exactly what to expect during the service. They also go over any additional services you add on top of a basic wash. Since our Auggie sheds so much we always add a de-shedding treatment. Whenever I picked her up after Petco she might be good for a day before shedding like crazy again, with Scenthound it's about a week before her coat starts showing up on the floor. Upon pick up they tell you exactly how the service went and also score her based on her hygiene. Her scores let us know if she needs any immediate care in a specific area, like were her nails too long? Am I brushing her teeth often enough? Since they check plaque too. The surprising thing is that Bourbon now gets really excited whenever we start walking up to the store and she's happy to see everyone inside for her session. It truly is a premier experience for you and your pet.

We brought our dog to Scenthound. Setting up an appointment was very easy. Their team welcomed us in and talked to us about grooming options for our rescue pup. He's a doodle and had some matting on the top of his head and chin, but it was minimal and there was no extreme matting elsewhere. We knew some shaving had to happen. The team at Scenthound said they would only shave the top of his head. "We can make it into a fun Mohawk or something" their groomer told us. We were very direct about what we wanted, and they seemed to understand. We left him in their care and trusted them with our pup. After about an hour and a half, we get a text that it's time to pick him up. When they bring him out, they preface it with a nervous face saying, "ok so just know he's still the same dog." We were confused why they took this approach until we saw him. Without consulting us, they made the decision to shave his entire head, ears, neck and chest. When I asked, "why didn't you call us to get our permission first?" They had no actual answer except, "well we just thought..." I've brought dogs to groomers elsewhere and they 100% always call to confirm anything outside the original plan. I understand that it might seem very superficial to complain over how a dog looks, but the issue here is that they went ahead with making a decision without consulting us. This violates customer trust and who knows what else they would have done on their own. If you decide to go, make sure to demand that they consult you before making changes. I thought this was industry standard but apparently it's not.

I really don't want to have to write a bad review... however it may help others avoid this happening to them. We were a bit spoiled with an amazing groomer somewhere else. They moved. So we went to try out Scenthound because it's close. Scheduling was pretty easy and I decided to start the monthly plan just to try it with my Bella. Bella has never had a bad experience with grooming so she went on in just fine. After picking her up I noticed she was nervous and scared. She looked pretty good but it didn't stay. I found out later in order for it to stay nice we needed to add more services in addition to our monthly fee. After all the fees added to actually get it done right it cost way more. I gave this place one more chance. As we waited in the waiting area dogs came in and I noticed 3 out of 4 dogs were scared. Bella was shaking and holding onto me for dear life. They took her and told me it would be an hour. It was way over an hour and I heard her back there yelping. There was a guy that came out that was nice however I'm not sure what happened back there but she wasn't done . I didn't want her going thru this anymore. I took her while still partially wet with mats. When picking her up she yelped a few times. We found out later she was cut in two places. Three weeks later (yesterday) I took her to another groomer who shaved her to start over. Here are pictures of the cuts three weeks later. Never again will I go there. Update after response from business. - they cut the matts off of her while she was back there. She was shaved under the ears and somehow the neck got cut as well. They shaved the mats off so they did use something to cut them off. I also told them I don't want anything to hurt her so if they had said she needed a shave then that's what I would have to do. They never suggested the shave as being the best option for her. I go off how she acted on the next visit and the dogs I saw coming in.. and what I saw with my own eyes. There's nothing more I need to say. Some customers may have had good service.. I really gave it a shot. This is just my personal experience.

It was hard for us to find a shop that our old pup Mantou could tolerate--he has such anxiety at his grooming visits, but Scenthound was the first place he's ever been to where he was at ease. The owners (Cara) and shopkeepers were always so kind to him, and he always came out of his appointments looking beautiful, fresh, and clean. I would highly recommend checking out Scenthound--it is a MUCH better alternative to Dirty Dogs!

    Happy Dog post visit.

We went for the first time today with a trial type offer for an initial cleaning. I was very impressed with the whole operation with a few kinks I think they can easily work out. Booking was a easy. They reached out to me to answer my questions right after I registered on their site for the first timer offer. Some people may find this annoying but it's nice to see they actually have a sales process and stick to it. On the day of our booking we showed up and check in was very streamlined. From our first minute in til they started on our dog was only about 5-7 minutes... The staff was super nice and helpful with my first timer questions. They also offer you multiple options when it comes to shampoo as some dogs are sensitive to smells and added ingredients. The cleaning took about 45 minutes (no groom just wash, nails, and teeth). They texted me when she was ready for pickup and I headed back over. On arrival they got my dog out to me immediately and they pitched the monthly plan which I was expecting. I was already sold based on the experience up to that point so it didn't take much convincing . SUMMARY: Groomers were great. I suggest trying them out with the first timer deal they offer and give it a shot. I've found that most of the time peoples issues with groomers are mostly out of the groomers control... some dogs just freak out and there's only so much they can do. My dog and I had a great experience and I think they will make a great addition to our community. Thanks Scenthound!

One thing I will suggest to any dog owner that has attachment issues and/barking issues, please consider giving them CBD/hemp oil to ease the stress on these groomers. I've been suggested trazodone, which I consider a pretty aggressive step, but it does get to a point where as an owner you need to be considerate of the people taking care of your dog. My dog Gigi (4 yr old cream Cockapoo mix…read morewith ombre gray-black tip tale) desperately needed her groom since I failed to pre-book at her regular groomer. However, everything worked out since I've been wanting to ger her groomed by Logan for more than a year now! I first heard of Gabriel Feitosa's Grooming Salon through Instagram at least 3 years ago. And finally... we got to go! Prepare your dogs vaccination records. :) Bring them before or on the grooming day. When you arrive, you will fill out a simple questionaire with basic info. They'll ask the usual.. what style groom you have in mind! I like my dog to have the typical teddy bear cut. :) So cute! Keep the eyelashes etc. It took a few hours (as expected) and I was sooooo happy with Gigi's groom by Logan! Logan is so detail-oriented and sooo nice! When I came to pick Gigi up, he kindly came out to bring Gigi out! I also had Winston, (Gigi's bestie) with me since Winston was with us overnight for a pupsleepover! At the salon, they sell treats, dog clothing, dog bed, dog necklaces and shoes, and our fave, the dog cologne by Hydra USA! Logan used Forever Fresh on Gigi and it smelled amazing! I returned a week after to purchase it. There are many other amazing colognes too to choose from. Natashya and Randy assisted me at the front desk and they were so kind and welcoming! We will be back in the future and will also support at the new location! P.S. Parking - street parking with meters. There is a small lot on the left of the salon but I am unsure if those belong to the other businesses or if anyone can park. It's pretty easy though to find parking.

I was pretty disappointed to see many of the same pup toys and supplies that you can find anywhere else, but for a higher price. The outfits they had were cute, but I couldn't justify paying $50 for a shirt (and yes, that's more than I would pay for myself). The woman that was working wasn't very friendly and looked like she would rather jump off a cliff than be there. Not encouraging, but I still decided to buy my pup a cookie. I didn't realize until he couldn't eat it that it was actually rock hard. He tried licking the frosting off, but I don't think he liked it because he barely had any. I was extremely disappointed. You wouldn't serve old/stale food to humans, so why would you do that for pups? Should've gone with my gut and not bought anything from here.

Doggie Style Pets is a cute little boutique pet store/pet groomer in Little Italy. I checked their…read morewebsite and they are a small-ish chain with 10 locations in Philadelphia, two in New Jersey in addition to the Little Italy location in San Diego. We were walking back to our car after a delicious breakfast at The Waterfront Bar and Grill when we happened by Doggie Style so we popped in. We're suckers when it comes to our two dogs Ozzy and T.J. They are two very spoiled girls! A few steps into the store was a big display of homemade (organic, I think) dog cookies. They were made with all natural ingredients such as sweet potato. We picked up two each for the doggos. Two Halloween themed and two ice cream themed, a cone and a bar. When we arrived home the dogs sniffed out the treats right away. Ozzy is a smaller dog with small teeth so we like to break her treats into smaller pieces. Holy crap! The Haloween dog bone cookies were hard as rocks! I had to chop them with a knife and it took some effort! T.J. is a big dog so she had no problem devouring hers. I can't speak to the grooming, but the variety of treats, toys and accessories for pets was impressive. A little on the pricey side, but that is to be expected in this type of bougie pet stor.
