My wife and I are so grateful for Maryna. She has been such a wonderful trainer for our anxious 5-year old. Petrie (seen below) is fearful and gets a little aggressive towards other leashed dogs, fast moving people (including children), and skateboards. Maryna has been working with us on it all. I love that Maryna doesn't suggest we punish our dog for behavior we don't like, instead she wants us to reward Petrie for behaviors we want more of. She gives us proper expectations and is never, ever condescending. She listens, is kind to Petrie, and I consider her to be our anxious little doggo's "therapist". I reached out to Maryna to help with my Husky's leash pulling, fear of skate boards and some minor aggression towards other dogs. Oso (my husky) stayed with Maryna for 2 weeks to be trained. When we got him back, he was a new dog. Still his goofy self but way better with his leash skills. Walks are much more enjoyable now. Oso will still sometimes walk ahead of me but doesn't tug too hard. Usually he's at my side :) As far as aggression towards other dogs, he still has some issues here and there but Maryna has provided us with tips and tricks to minimize those stressful encounters. My boyfriend and I recently adopted a dog (boxer/pit bull mix) who was 9 months old who had a lot of bad habits (biting, jumping, etc.). Maryna not only helped us to correct those habits, but taught us so much more. Maryna really takes the time to understand the owners concerns/wants and is super patient each step of the way. Since this was our first dog, we had a lot of questions. She would answer all of them either during the session or we would text her during the week and she was super responsive. We would also send her videos of us practicing, and she would give us tips or recommendations which we really appreciated. She will come to wherever you live or wherever is convenient for you, which we really appreciated as we do not have a car. We set up 5 one hour sessions to work on biting, jumping, leash pulling, recall, basic manners, mental stimulating games, etc. After the 5 sessions, our dogs biting has gone dramatically, pulls only when she sees birds haha, doesn't jump on strangers, and comes back to us when called. Maryna was an amazing dog trainer. My 2 1/2 year old Pitbull, K'ai, had issues with socialization. He just doesn't get along with other dogs and would get "obsessive" over them. He would whine and pull on his leash, and I had a hard time controlling him or calming him down. I really needed help with him because I had actually stopped walking him since he is short, but a really strong puller. I took him for training and Maryna did an awesome job with him in two short weeks. While K'ai and I still need to work together to maintain what he learned, I was amazed at how much his attitude has changed in such a short time. Walks with him are much easier, and when he does his "tantrum," my arm doesn't fall off anymore. He is able to calm himself down on his own. He is also much calmer now since he tires himself out with our long walks, and even my friends have noticed how calm he's gotten. Maryna first assessed K'ai when we first met. She took notes, which I liked, and asked a lot of questions about his problem behaviors. Over the course of only a few days, Maryna not only got to know K'ai and learned how to handle him, but she also taught me to be a better handler. She corrected the things I was doing wrong, and I appreciated her many suggestions. I started walking K'ai twice a day, and used all her advice during our walks. Maryna was very flexible and adapted to how much time K'ai needed to learn something new. She also tried different techniques. She focused on positive behaviors. She didn't promise or guarantee me anything in the beginning, which I liked because all dogs are different. Nothing is a guarantee. But we were both surprised at how much K'ai had changed in such a short time. By the end of two weeks, it was the first time I saw K'ai actually walking next to another dog without a care in the world. It took a lot of work and a lot of patience, but I am very pleased with the results. K'ai and I still have a long way to go, and I would love to get him into more classes in the near future, but training with Maryna really bonded us more than ever, and our walks became more pleasant and something we really look forward to everyday. Marina is an absolutely amazing dog trainer! Our dog, Sadie, was having issues on the leash with skateboarders, motorcycles, and sometimes other dogs. We have an 11 month old Sheepadoodle who was very insecure and reactive. He was hard to take on walks and wouldn't listen to simple commands. He would also bolt out of our house anytime someone would leave. He also had a huge problem with jumping up on people and the list goes on. I just met Maryna yesterday, but I felt compelled to write a review. We adopted our dog 3.5 weeks ago and with all the changes, transitions, plus spay surgery, we were having issues with her walking. When she WANTS to walk, she does great, but when she was scared or wanted to go home she would stop in her tracks and not move unless we moved toward home. Maryna spent 1.5 hours with us JUST FOR THE EVALUATION. She took her time getting to know Belle and us. She was thoughtful in making sure her ideas and plan would be tailored to, not just a specific "method," but to the needs of our dog, specifically. She had told us ahead of time she would be leaving town for 3 weeks but made sure to squeeze in the evaluation so that if we needed to fit in a session before she left, we can. I also did not feel like she was pushing us to train with her. Rather, her approach felt like a genuine effort to give us feedback and ideas that would help us work with our dog. If your dog is in need of some obedience training, we highly recommend hiring Maryna. Maryna has been working with our puppy for a few months now and she has made very good progress with her. She is very gentle, and exclusively uses positive reinforcement, never using harsh corrections. She has taught our puppy the basic commands but more importantly, commands that are especially relevant to us. We had an initial consultation in our home and she spent an hour with us learning what our goals and expectations were and which commands we would like prioritized. She then formulated a program for us and we began. She came to our home an picked up our puppy and would then work with her for some hours, and then return her to us. Also, when we were out of town, she boarded our puppy and continued to work with her while we were away. She would send us photos and videos, illustrating the work they were doing together. Maryna has been great and has done a very nice job teaching our puppy basic obedience, and has given us the peace of mind when we were away, by boarding her in her home. I'm not one to write bad reviews. I really am interested in training my dog and am willing to pay whatever I need to. The method that was explained didn't make much sense to me because it's just constantly giving the dog treats with no discipline when the dog does anything wrong. I'm not a dog training professional, but shouldn't the dog know when they are doing something wrong? I also felt like I was being spoken down to. I was told that "I didn't want a trainer" and that "I was not willing to put my work in" with her assumption. As walking my dog she told me that I was not listening to her the whole walk as I did not say a word and only listened to her. I did have a few questions here and there and when I did ask that was her way of me not listening. She became very rude and many rude comments. I really am not the one to do this but I highly do NOT recommend this trainer. read more

My puppy Benson and I just finished 5 sessions of training with Maryna. We had such a great experience! She is very hands on and puts you in real life situations that you face with your dog. I learned so much and Benson has responded so well to the positive reinforcement. If you are looking for the best dog trainer, go to Marina! I'm a first time dog owner and really had no idea what I was doing. We have a 10 month Shiba Inu, his name is Tima. A Shiba Inu is a dog that is more like a cat. Probably the most important way in which a Shiba Inu resembles a cat is in his independence, aloofness, and stubbornness. He is not to be trusted off-leash, unless in a fully enclosed area. A Shiba will pretend not to hear you and may not even deign to look at you. I wouldn't have known how to deal with it without Marina! She is incredible! She truly understands dogs, and her methods are kind and gentle. I appreciate her positive, rewards-based approach. Maryna is a great dog trainer! We have been working on attention games and basic obedience training. At the beginning of each class, we discuss the issues and concerns occurred with my pup this week, and she will design some practice to solve the issue accordingly. Then we go on scheduled training step by step to train my pup to pay attention and follow obedience trick during the next half part of the class.
