Super disappointed. I had a 10am appointment with Diana and they canceled on me just 20-30 minutes before I was supposed to arrive. I had planned my whole morning around this, and there was no real effort to accommodate or reschedule in a helpful way. I got a short haircut here on Saturday and it seemed okay at first (they put slight curls in it), but once I got home and the curls fell out, and actually had a chance to look at it properly, I realized it was uneven--like noticeably lopsided. Unfortunately, the salon was closed the next day (Sunday), so I had to wait until Monday just to call and see what could be done. To their credit, they were good about fitting me in for an "adjustment." But the fix? They basically just chopped it straight across, which completely erased any of the layered style I originally paid for. So now my hair looks like something my husband could've done with kitchen scissors... which, ironically, is exactly what he did all through the pandemic. I normally take my daughter to Ventura for her color but wanted to find a local salon for her haircut and trim needs. I'm glad I found this place. I made the apt online and next day she was seen. Her dad took her, when I got off work and went over there, I saw my girl talking to Juliana and looking happy with their conversation. When finished my daughter couldn't stop looking at her hair. Last time I came here to get my undercut reshaved, they charged me $5 and took around 5 minutes to shave it down and shape it and did a great job. But when I came back today, they quoted $15 for the same reshave. The front desk receptionist asked a hair stylist in front of me and they both kept going back and forth. I just had another amazing Eminence supreme facial from Sunrize. I've had facials all over the world, and there is no one better than Sunrize. She is highly skilled, professional, and always does an amazing job. Having a facial with Sunrize is a wonderful, relaxing and pampering experience. She includes neck, shoulder, head, arm/hand and foot massage which is incredible. Sunrize also has some sort of new light therapy technology from NASA. I have no idea what it is; all I know is after my facial I went next door to Trader Joe's to buy wine and groceries AND I GOT CARDED. I am 55 years old! The checkout guy looked at me funny and said, 'you're over 21, right?' I started laughing hysterically and thanking him over and over. He was like, 'anyone this happy about being carded must be over 21!' I WAS BORN IN 1968! Anyway, I credit Sunrize for the amazing facial, and I only use Eminence products on my skin and have for years. Eminence products are organic, sustainable, and cruelty-free. They are made at a farm in Hungary. The products are very expensive, but totally worth it, in my opinion! Once you start using them, you will never use another skincare brand. Just don't ask how much the products are (they purposely don't label the price, which I think is a brilliant marketing strategy). My favorites are the Stone Crop Gel facial wash and the facial recovery oil. I don't know of any other place in town you can buy Eminence products except at Cutting Edge. Highly recommend a facial from Sunrize and Eminence products! read more

I got my hair done by Diana January 2024 and I still get compliments on it 11 months later! I loved my hair so much when I got it done but for it to look this good for this long is so crazy to me. If you want to add any blond to your hair give your money to her. It was expensive but she really knew what she was doing. When my appt started she asked me so many questions about exactly what I wanted. I had a lot of bleach in my hair already but my grow out was harsh. I asked for some highlights to blend with my natural hair color (which is dark blonde) and said I don't want to bleach my hair anymore after this so I want it to look natural as it grows out. She also gave me a haircut with face framing pieces which were beautiful. I have never had such a good experience with a hair stylist and am so happy I got to have her do my hair. I moved away to Reno otherwise I would have her do my hair for the rest of my life, thanks so much Diana read more

I scheduled a full highlight and while scheduling I asked for a blonde specialist, the girl on the phones said that they don't have one and they all kinda do it. My original appointment was canceled the morning of. I was rescheduled a couple days later with a different stylist, Emma. However I only had about 5 hours that day. Upon my arrival I showed my inspo photos and I explained that I have a limited amount of time for the appointment. She assured me that that is plenty of time since my hair was very light on the bottom. She was very sweet during our appointment and I was done even earlier than expected. After coming home looking at my hair and taking photos I realized that is not as light as I wanted it to be. My coworkers and my boyfriend said it looks the same as before and I decided to call back the salon and schedule another appointment to fix it. I talked on the phone with the owner and she scheduled another appointment and assured me that I will only be charged for supplies used (I originally paid $300).Second appointment went well and looked a little bit closer to my inspo photos (she only highlighted front part of my hair and ends and did not even tone my hair just washed it with a purple shampoo).After it was done I went upfront to pay and owner and Emma were just whispering to each other probably about how much to charge me. They came up with another $145!! I was so shocked I couldn't even say anything! And on top of that my dumbass tipped another 20%. Their excuse was that it took a lot of time and it was my fault that it wasn't as light the first time around. That is absolutely ridiculous. If you know you can't do it you should let your customers know before you even start. Not to mention all of my time that I had to spear, first for the cancellation and than for a second appointment! If you are not capable to do what you said you would, you should apologize and try to make it right not blame your customers for it and change basically twice for the service that was supposed to be done the first time! I wen there to do highlights with Sahara Łopez Garcia at first she look nice then she started doing my highlights she took around 2 hours to do my whole head she never put a timer to check the first highlights almost at the end ,one of the foils open up my dear god my hair was as lighter it could go she burned my hair . The way she act was completely insane acting like nothing happened wen she washed my hair all the first highlights she did started to fall then again she act like nothing happened , she started to brush my hair my hair started falling flying everywhere that was the worst hair salon visit I ever been I can't believe person like her have a license to do hair it's obvious she's not ready to have any client . For persons like her others that are a real hair stylist loose cutting edge salon should investigate more who work there . read more

This was my first time here. Hard to give a review, mixed emotions. Very nice salon, with small gift shop area in front. Everyone was super friendly and place was pleasant and clean. So I give them stars for that. Just be aware and be careful my hair cut turned out nothing like I wanted and I am still trying to get use to it and say positive things. Good news hair will grow. I actually haven't had a haircut for over a year due to the pandemic, and even tried to cut my own hair a couple months ago leading to it being uneven and choppy. I'm a notorious haircut hater, somuchso that I haven't gotten mine cut professionally in probably three years--I only made an appointment this week to make my mother happy for graduation. Before I came in I told my friends that I fully expected to cry. Needless to say that didn't happen! April was super flexible when I called thirty minutes before my appointment and asked if I could add a balayage to my haircut appointment. She listened to me, was super fun and nice, and made my hair the most beautiful color it's ever been. For the first time in my life I actually like the results of a haircut! Really fair pricing as well, I'm only going to be in Santa Barbara for a few more months but I'm going to make sure to go back to her before I leave. She's made a haircut believer out of me!
