    Wine flight (you choose 4)
    Harris N.

Good place you can just relax at the lake and sip a wine. I ordered the flight but the one at the counter was a bit rude answering my questions. Overall it is a place I'd recommend for Fredericksburg, and think it's better here experience here than Grape Creek Vineyards.

I loved this property! It is a truly special place where you can sip a glass of wine and enjoy nature. We were there as they opened so it was nice and quiet. The shop was full of yummy treats. This is a unique experience. I would like to visit again when the distillery is open.

First time here.... They served sandwiches etc and of course, wine , cheese... also available outside are "food trucks" and we didn't know until we walk out towards the "pond"... Great place to chill... beautiful pine trees ...

This place is a must if you're in town. I love peaches and during the summer heat what better way to experience the flavor than to stop here? So much charm and space. Enjoy tasting inside and then take on the view and a sip out by the water. It was so peaceful and relaxing. If you want to cool down try the amaretto peach sundae. It's a rich creamy vanilla ice cream with chunks of fresh peaches and pecans toppef amaretto syrup and whipped cream. It's like a scoop of fall during the summer. They have so many cool flavors of jams and sweets it'll be hard to choose just one. Try the wine pairing. I really enjoyed the peach wine it was sweet and subtle and refreshing. I opted for a full glass of that post tasting

    The view!

Best grilled cheese I've ever had. Third time here and all their food is so good. The outside venue can't be beat. So beautiful and peaceful. Wine. Food. Atmosphere. They have it all.

The incredible thing is I went here over a decade ago and go this incredible Smokey glaze from here! I couldn't remember the name of this place but remember it had a pond in the back and it was a wood building with a bunch of charcuterie and wine items inside. Lawd and behold, I returned back to Fredericksburg and by a quick google search, I was so surprise to find this place is still open and going strong! Das Peach Haus have been open for a long time and I was just so thrilled to see how many new items there was inside! I was dieing when I saw rhe Smokey glaze was still available!! I grabbed a few bottles! They have samples and you can try different items they have! Pasta sauce, salsa, jams, jelly, seasoning, olive oil, hot sauce, and so much more! Our favorites: 4/5 Peach salsa! Has a kick! And the peach is so good in it! Small Chunks which is perfect! 5/5 Smokey glaze: this stuff is goes well with everything! Love it on baked salmon. Cream cheese and glaze. Pork beef chicken.. it's Smokey sweet salty. Just yummy and a favorite in our household. 5/5 whiskey glaze: very close to the smoked glaze but there a chunk of something and not Smokey. We tried this for the first time and loved it too. Sweet salty glaze. 5/5 Pistachio jalapeño brittle: I wish we grabbed more!! Tried a sample and it has a kick of jalapeño and it's the best brittle I ever had! The pistachio is so good with the jalapeño! Must try! 5/5 Hot peach salsa: it's more spicy than regular peach salsa but it's perfect for the peeps like Louie a little more heat! They have baked desserts and wine tasting there! Next door is their new brewery they just opened. There's food trucks there too. Such a relaxing place with the outdoor scenery! Do we recommend this place ? Yes! Our visit there, Das Peach Haus employee, Efrain, went above and beyond to recommend us stuff. He was friendly and informative! Outstanding employee and made our visit at Das Peach Haus such a great experience! If you are the owner or manager at Das Peach Haus, you should give him a raise and a reward! We can't wait to return to restock our staple favorites from Das Peach Haus! Must visit when you're in Fredericksburg! Don't skip this place!

Das Peach Haus is a must visit in my books when in Fredericksburg! The spot is full of tasty jams, salsa, marinades, and most important wine! We got a tasting flight and took it out back by the pond to enjoy! Even though we came in with the intention of not getting any bottles of wine we ended up getting 3 of their country peach for ourselves and as souvenirs for friends! The pond out back is a great spot to relax and hang out with friends and family! there's plenty of shaded areas to fight the TX heat and tons of space for kids to run around! You can even buy fish food to feed the fish in the pond or even the turtles! We ended up leaving with plenty of jams, salsas, and all kinds of other goodies! The staff had plenty of recommendations and even told us how the family owned winery has expanded into several other endeavors! Overall we would recommend stopping by!!

We enjoyed our time here. We went during the week so it wasn't crowded at all. We chose this place for the proximity and the overall relaxed atmosphere. It helped that the wine tasting was affordable. The staff was friendly and had great recommendations for our tasting. We enjoyed our tasting by the pond which was very relaxing. The wines very much we enjoyed as well. We like sweet wines and our favorite was the hill country peach but I didn't have one I didn't enjoy. We stopped in the store to browse and I picked up a salted Carmel brownie...very delicious. Rich, decadent...just perfect.

This was the perfect spot to end our visit in Fredericksburg. An adorable store surrounded by beautiful scenery. You'll find a variety of products inside from preserves to salsas and even wine tasting. After we were done with our shopping, we headed to the rear of the store, where you'll find a nice sized pond with picnic tables, chairs, and outdoor games surrounding the pond. We took our snacks and drinks and had a relaxing moment. The pond is filled with fish and turtles and they sell food inside the store for $1 to feed them. We did hold off on buying some peach products on the main shopping street in Fredericksburg and found that this store did not carry peach salsa or peach syrup. We headed back to that area just in time to grab those items before they closed.

    Wine and view

The weather was nice to enjoy some wine tasting with my daughter! The staff were friendly and well educated about the wines they had available. There were games people can play and chairs one can just relax and enjoy the weather, company, and wine! Unfortunately there were not anymore charcuterie left for us to enjoy with wine. The staff were friendly and well educated about the wines they had available.

The scenary here is beautiful and such a vibe, would come back for just that. The peach cobbler was mid for the price & serving, but probably would get again anyways lol

Beautiful place to relax and enjoy wine and snacks

I love coming to Das Peach Haus, aesthetically it's beautiful and the wine selection is great. They also have great snacks you can purchase or enjoy while enjoying the beautiful backyard that oversees a pretty pond. There's lots of seating and the staff are super friendly and seem to really enjoy giving customers a unique experience.

4 stars mainly for the ambiance: lovely lake, and surrounding trees that give decent shade - a luxury in Central Texas!! They got live music on the weekend and nice outdoor seating. They sell a bunch of sauces, jams, crackers, mustard, etc. inside The wines and fresh food served are not that great. We got the wine flight and tried a mix of white/peach wine and red. Wine is under-aged most of them is 2024 wines, they are not tasty. The peach cobbler has a doughy texture and canned peaches flavors. The vanilla ice cream on the side helped a lot but overall the dish is kinda disappointing considering this place is called Peach Haus. Nice spot to visit though for the views and seating experience.

Menu items included strawberry gazpacho, an arugula salad, carrot hummus, lovely grilled chicken marinated in Mediterranean spices, and berry ricotta tarts for dessert. Each item was more epic than the last. My girlfriend and I agreed that this was the best meal we've had in a long time. Absolutely delicious! We can't wait to try some of the recipes at home, and attend another cooking class (possibly the Italian one!) soon.

It turned out being 50% hands off, as the first half of the class, we spent watching the instructor tell us what we're supposed to do while she either demoed, or it was already done for us, or we passed a bowl around a group of 14 and took turns mixing. She said it was time for a break after about 45 mins in and I was thinking 'a break from what?, we hadn't even done anything yet'. Additionally, she spent a good amount of the time selling the Breville appliances we were using. Upon return from break, we were divided into groups and we made the pasta (running it through the device to make flat noodles as it was already made into dough for us). There was a sense of accomplishment from making the pasta. I do wish it was much more hands on as that's how I learn best. Lastly, there was an obvious and awkward dynamic between the instructor and her assistants. Every time she politely asked one of them for help with something, one specific assistant would retort "hold on, let me finish this." Or she would take her sweet time and had a clear attitude with body language and facial expressions. We all talked about it during our break. It was so obvious that either there was some sort of argument or fight prior to the class or they just really didn't like the instructor. It was obvious to all the participants and it felt uncomfortable at times. I even offered that assistant some of our wine though she politely declined. It was definitely unprofessional behavior. We were so excited for this class. So much potential given the brand. A real let down. In fact some of the nice people we met recommended some other cooking classes that were much more hands on and a good time. I don't recommend.

So, based off what I paid and the food we ate, the skills we learned, and the class itself, I definitely recommend it. The class started at 9am and we spent 3 hours going through basics of cooking broccolini, cannelloni beans, prime rib, and a pine nut cake. We spent roughly 1.5-2 hours preparing the meal and eating it. For someone who has never taken a cooking course and a husband who is not adept at cooking, this made a great date and fun meal. Of course, I will not say it is for experts or someone looking to go into culinary schools. However, it was fun, different, and interesting. It was also a lot of work. Get ready to learn, sample, and produce. And, eat whatever you produce. Take notes. Come early because the location is totally confusing if you have never been. The instructors were very nice, knowledgable, friendly, and had fun tips. Maybe these are tips people already know who cook, but they were new and fun to me. I recommend this class for a somewhat adventurous spirit, as a couples' date, ladies' day out, or for people who want to check out what it feels like to work in a commercial kitchen. Do NOT go if you feel like you are a master chef already or you will be disappointed. Don't go if you don't want to cook or sit and learn for a few hours. The (I'm assuming) students helping were very nice and cleaned all your dishes, cleared your area, and helped out if you had questions.

This is a long one...I apologize. Basically--from start to finish, this "school" was a big scam…read more I attended the culinary program. The admissions guy, Brent, sold the program very nicely. Made it seem like I'd learn how to be a chef and be ready for a career in the industry, in fact, an externship was a requirement to graduate. I signed the papers and paid for the school...it was not cheap. Almost $20,000. One year and a half later all I have to show for it is a nice set of knives, some books, a $10 an hour job and a much lower credit score. My experience here was horrible. Several students left out of frustration. Most of the instructors seems knowledgable and had some experience in the restaurant industry. However--they would frequently arrive to class late. When everyone else is there at 7 am, it's frustrating when there is no instructor. Also--the curriculum was ridiculous. The instructors usually just read from the PowerPoint presentations that they barely knew how to operate and that obviously weren't prepared by them. We were presented with so much information and such little structure, I don't really understand that they really expected us to retain the information, rather they were just trying to cram as much into such a small amount of time. Needless to say, much of what was presented (if it wasn't written down) was useless. I suppose that we did work with some pretty good ingredients, it was occasionally fun and very, very easy. But that's not really what I was hoping for, exactly. The admissions director sold the school as being something completely different. There was no structure at all. We never even learned the basics of working in a kitchen or even the tools that we'd use in a kitchen. Frequently the instructors would just do everything themselves without explaining how they did it, simply because it was faster than having us do it. Having someone talk you through the process of making gnocchi is great, but it doesn't give you any of the skills you need for a job making pasta in a restaurant...because for that you need experience. When I started my externship (which I had to find completely on my own) I was completely unprepared for the position. I was able to pick it up, through the help of my employers. On top of my fairly disappointing education I received from Le Cordon Bleu, I also received quite a shock when I checked my credit report. The school had taken out almost $5,000 worth of loans that I had not authorized. The money was eventually returned to "the government" and I didn't end up owing them anything, but it stills shows up on my credit report. They did this without my consent. It was unacceptable. Litigation is probable. After all this, if you're still reading, realize...you will learn a few things about food at this school. But that comes at a price that is completely not worth it. This school will not prepare you for any type of job in the industry. Please save your money and your sanity--get an entry level job in a kitchen and move your way up. It's much easier than you'd imagine. If you do decide to attend school here, remember that you will be paying the school for two months while you work...which means that Le Cordon Bleu will be making money off you even when they've done nothing to help you. It's a very elaborate scam. These private schools need to be stopped. They prey on the poor and market to parents and people with good credit so that they can make money off your loans and putting you in debt. Don't become a victim. There are plenty of other options.
