Cuzco what has happened? Your food was always excellent and consistent but that is gone. My Peruvian husband and I have been eating more at a new place. When we come back and try you it leaves us disappointed! We tried again today and ! We got the lomo saltado con huanciana. The lomo had no flavor at all for both of us. It was watery and ruined the pasta. You never send sauces with your dishes. We ordered Picarones. They were not fully cooked and sauce was watery again and the flavors were just not there. Over the years we have enjoyed coming but strayed away because your food is not consistent in quality and flavor. I hope you can pivot and make some needed changes in your food quality, appearance and atmosphere (dirty dishes piles on the bar and every where not a good look, and service be more prompt. read more

A solid 3 stars for Cuzco Cuisine. The food here was good, not great. I've been on a Peruvian kick lately and have been seeking out Peruvian Cuisine whenever I travel, so I figured, why don't I try it here at home? The atmosphere is casual and has lots of Peruvian artwork with bright colors. There's a large dining area with lots of natural light and exposed air ducts to add an industrial feel to the space. When we dined here on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was about 1/5th full and the service was attentive . The food here has good flavors, but is just lacking the oomph to take it to that next level. We started out with a Tamal de Puerco as an appetizer. This was a large tamale wrapped in a banana leaf with pork, egg and an olive. It was pretty good. For an entree I had the Aji de Gallina. It was a large, oversized portion and to be honest, I made two more meals of it and I still couldn't finish it, so it's a huge portion. I had passion fruit juice with my meal and it was pretty generic tasting. It was good, but I've had more delicious iterations of the dish, so it was more of a slightly better than average meal. I went here with one of my co workers as he suggested to come here. He is right in the sense that Peruvian is somewhat like a hybrid of Chinese and Mexican flavors. I wanted to try their AeroPuerto as that is their most popular dish, but they said they did not have the noodles. He recommended me to try the fried rice and chicken dish. I forgot the name of it, but that is what it reminded of when I went to try it. Service wise they tend to neglect us with water and they asked us if we wanted the sauce and I said yes, but they never came back so we had to remind them to get it for us. Then, we wanted sauce to go, but they forgot about it too until we reminded them to get it. They were friendly, but tended to be forgetful and the place was not busy at all. Foodwise, I loved the sauce that I can drench the rice to it. It does have a little kick to it. With the sauce the food is awesome, without it the food was very dry especially the chicken. Food did come out at a reasonable time. Overall, I think I would come back for the sauce and I would give this a 3.5 stars, but I lean more towards the 3 star as the food was dry and the sauce had to make up for it. I would get something else like the Aeropuerto if they have it of course. read more

My co-worker and myself were in town for work where we came by this place and decided to try it. As we walked into the restaurant it was spacious, lively and the waiter was very inviting. I've always wanted to try out Peruvian food so this is my first time. Looking through the menu it was hard to choose which one to try out since all sounded so good. I chose to try out their bistec a lot pobre and it was delicious. The bistec was wonderfully seasoned and flavorful. We told the waiter that it was cold, so he just picked up the plates and took them back without saying anything. Cuzco moved to this new location from Skillman. The food was delicious but it took a while to come out. We ordered three different dishes to share. The sauces that came out with the breaded chicken were all spicy and so tasty! I recommend trying this dish if you're not too adventurous. We also ordered a short rib type dish which came with beans and rice along with ceviche. The ceviche does not come with chips and they sold out of plantains so I was a little disappointed. Nothing special. Ceviche mixto was ok. Yucca was stringy. Fish smelled, well, fishy - which worried me. Service was not good. There were 2 servers - one young, attractive, woman with reddish hair and one heavy-set woman. Both of them were chewing gum with their mouths open. Neither was attentive to the customers. I watched several of them get up and walk to the counter to ask for the check. I had to ask for the water glass to be refilled each time it went empty. Oh, and no chicha morada, even though it was on the menu. Also, no bread served and no aji verde and no orange colored sauce.
