I came here with my Peruvian friend who was super pumped to try Peruvian food in Texas. They also sell Peruvian spices at the counter too! I ordered: Ceviche: this was wonderful and flavorful and I really liked it. Felt super healthy and fresh Anticucho: my husband liked this and the meat was cooked well Beef fried rice: was flavorful and pretty delicious Overall was great. Horrible customer service , waiter clueless on how to take an order . That's in English and Spanish spoken. The cook refusing to cook food the right Peruvian way , we had to send back our food more than once and the cook had horrible attitude , saying for us to order something else instead of fixing the actual issue. Which honestly was simple things to be fix . One of the guest in our party is vegetarian and all she asked was for a saltado de chicken not to have chicken or put the chicken on the side . They brought her fries and rice to the table with no saltado and they said they could not fix it . Also the lomo they served us was cold and when we tried to send back , we were told by the cook/owner to order something else , when asked why they didn't want to give a reason . Totally disappointing , waste of time , and money and horrible customer service . Visiting from CA and was hopeful to have a new Peruvian restaurant to look forward to coming but sadly it completely sucked , lacks everything . If you know what real Peruvian food is you'll know this place is a joke of a Peruvian restaurant. This restaurant responded to the review on Google with nothing but a bunch of lies. if lying is how you get your business going then that's sad. Be honest, admit you were at fault. This is not the first review on this app for any restaurant, when it's good we recommend it when it's bad, we are honest. We don't just stand at the cashier while your waiter is lying to your customers telling them their order will be remade and make them wait 30 minutes to later tell them no nothing will be remade. If food is cold and stale, future customers need to know. If it's sent back because you "encourage " that and you refuse to remake or give a second option, future customers need to know. If the owner refuses to speak to the customer when an order is wrong then future customers need to know. You don't have an honest business, everybody needs to know. read more

Employees won't provide you service if you're not their client specifically. Everyone seems to be in a bad mood. Just horrible service all together which is sad because the food is good. I don't recommend any of the locations since it's the same owners and you'll see the same people working at other locations. They used to have better service years back but not anymore. Maybe if they hire more servers there will be better service or if they change their system. But specifically there's a man I've seen at the Richardson location he's always in a bad mood. We were greeted at the door and asked if we spoke English or Español. We advised English and were given several options of where we wanted to be seated. We were given menus but they listed all of the food with their Spanish names and no description of any of the items in Spanish or English. Luckily we were able to pull up the menu on our phones and make our choices. We had a speaker directly above our table and the music, from a video being shown on the TV was being broadcast throughout the restaurant - it was a bit loud but we were still able to carry on a conversation. The food was brought out promptly and it was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend but check out the menu online before you go and don't expect much in atmosphere. Go for the food!! read more

Sorry to say, but this just isn't good Peruvian food! Papa a la huancina missing the queso flavor, but overkill on aji...this isn't supposed to be a spicy dish. Ceviche mixto... Waitress asked my wife how spicy she wanted it..She said NONE. It arrived and was spicy even to me, and I like it HOT! Tasteless boiled shrimp were used...OK flavor, but nothing special. Lomo saltado... was overcooked...meat was actually burned and hard on the ends... Aji de gallina... ok and edible, but the spices weren't mixed evenly...1 side was spicy, the other had little flavor... The chicha morada was ok, but nothing special given the price. I went there with my family to try their arroz chaufa which was recomended by one of my friends, despite of the reviews that I read on the website about the poor quality of their service I decided to give it a shot. The arroz chaufa was good, but the tallarin verde needs some improvement. Service was horrible, the waitress who was helping us got lost. I asked another waitress to help us to get some ice and she told us that we needed to wait for the responsable of the table since she was not gonna get any part of the tip that we were gonna give to the other waitress. At that point I wanted to just walked out, we couldnt believe what we were listening. Every course we ordered came out at diferent times. My kids wantes to try some picarones and what a surprise when we got it there was a mosquito sitting on the syrup that it is served with. I talked to the waitress and told her about the mosquito, i didnt want to create a big scene or wanted to get any advantage of that. I think the point of this, its for the customers brought up the attention of the owner or manager to fix certain things. I hope next time when I go for my arroz chaufa I will have a better experience. read more

I was so excited about having Peruvian food again. I was very disappointed. It wasn't good. Papa a la huancaina had no cheese flavor and was spicier than expected. The Ceviche mixto's fish was good but the rest of the seafood in it was meh. Yuca and Sweet Potato in it was good though. The Lomo saltado was way overcooked. The seafood arroz chaufa was salty, the seafood in it was bland. The Arroz con Leche had great flavor but the rice was undercooked. It was overpriced and totally not worth it. read more

I order probably once a week or at least three times a month from this place. This is the most authentic Peruvian food I've had since moving to Texas from Lima 3 years ago. It's soooo good! Always fresh so it will take a bit to wait but I don't mind. I can't give it enough stars. It's truly delicious. I've had arroz con pollo, which is what is pictured above (I took the picture late because I ate it as soon as it arrived ); lomo saltado; leche de tigre (soooo yummy!!! Don't waste your time and specially your money in this place. My partner and I were so excited to have found this new Peruvian restaurant, the reason for our excitement was the menu. Their menu has "authentic" Peruvian food as well as chifa wich is Chinese Peruvian food and they have a lot of items on their menu. When we arrived at the place and went into the restaurant it was desolated, there were no costumers and no waiter to greet us. We seated ourselves and after a few minutes I had to get up and go looking for someone to tend to us. The waitress was sitting in a side room with someone else and got up as soon as she saw me. The waitress brought the menus and we started looking through them. We ordered ceviche de pescado, ceviche de camarones, tiradito de pescado, arroz chaufa especial, anticuchos, chicharrón de calamares, jalea, and crema volteada. The ceviches and the tiradito were not all that, they needed more flavor and for the price the amount they serve is kind of ridiculous. When the waitress brought the jalea I took a look at it and asked her "is that for two people"?, she said yes and I told her that I could eat that by myself, because the amount of jalea was just a few pieces of the fried seafood. So she left the our table and came right back and told me that they had made a mistake and the plate they gave me was just for one person, a whole later she brought to the table the other half of the jalea. When the arroz chaufa came we noticed that it just contained chicken and not the shrimp, pork, chicken and steak. We pointed the mistake to her and she asked if we wanted to change it and we said yes. The anticuchos had a nice flavor but had way too much salt and the rachi that comes with them were also salty and rubbery. Since when the waitress brought the first plates of food to our table there was a fly pestering around our food and I had to keep trying to make it go away then after a couple of minutes more flies came to roam around our food. I got up off my chair to try to make them go away with no luck. I resorted to put the cloth napkin over our food to prevent the flies to land on our food. The waitress came to our table to ask if everything was ok and if we needed something else. I told her about the flies and what she told me made me so furious. She said "oh yeah we've been watching that" meaning they were watching me trying to keep the flies away and they didn't do a damn thing and they didn't care because they didn't take any action to help their costumers. We will never return to this place. The amount of food they serve for the price they charge is ridiculous. The flavors of authentic Peruvian food were not there. The service was mediocre and the disgusting flies flies roaming and landing on our food was infuriating. Don't waste your hard earned money on this place you will be very disappointed and maybe a little disgusted. read more

I can't really say much about this restaurant it's my first time there but I can see that I wasn't too happy with their bistek.i ordered their BISTEK A LO POBRE, it had no flavor, not even salt or black pepper at least. No salsa or steak sauce or any kind of condiment to the order. I'm not sure if that's the way the Peruvian meat is supposed to be. Then I also ordered the FRIED PORK SERVED YUCCA AND SALSA. There was no salsa to come with it and the only condiments I got with my order is 2 containers of mustard. I'm not quite sure what my stories for a no it can't be just for the fries I didn't get any catch-up I think the problem with this whole order is the language barrier the lady that was serving me did not speak English no did she understand English so I was having a hard time trying to explain to her what I wanted in my order the best thing that came out of the order was the CREAMA VOLTEADA. The cookies was delicious melt in your mouth with a white powder I'm assuming it was powdered sugar but it was the thing that tasted good. I think this place is good to eat it only if you're from Peru me being an outsider it was hard for me to place an order it would be very helpful if there was an English-speaking person there make it a whole transaction very easy to be honest I wouldn't go back there again. read more

really bad service, invited my son here to try Peruvian food for the first time. Waitress didn't even recommended anything to us. We took a while ordering because we were unsure of what to order. We placed the order, some other people came in the restamutant, they took their order first and left us last, they took everyone orders before ours. Their excuse was, just because we took a while to order,and a lot of people came in at the same time, my thing is, if they are not prepared to have customers come in all at once they should not be in business. I tried this place with my family over the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. We are Peruvian and recently got back from visiting Peru this summer so my craving for authentic Peruvian cuisine was very high. We shared the "Tallarin Saltado" and a full "Pollo a la brasa". Both were very delicious and living in Dallas (which doesn't have too many Peruvian restaurants to choose from) I was surprised by how good both of the dishes were. The food came out on time which was also great considering it was a weekend, the place was busy, and also happened to be Peruvian Independence Day, so we were assuming it might be a bit of a wait and we're glad that they still managed to serve and plate us on time. Our server, Juan, was also super nice and they were playing really great classical Peruvian songs. I don't ever review restaurants, but for the service and food I was given, I definitely had to. I would recommend this place to anyone and look forward to returning and trying out their other dishes! read more

This restaurant is so good! I'm from Peru and this place is very authentic. They also have a location in Garland and that one is just as good. The server was super nice.
