I went to the one in Richardson because they said it was better than the one in Fairview. Very disappointed, the ceviche was not cut according to the Peruvian cuisine standards, the flounder tasted old and full of nerves. They served the ceviche without the sweet potatoe and the peruvian corn, choclo. The wait was not worth it. The brother of the chef, the guy in charge of seating the people, had our party, two, wait an additional 20 minutes on a Sunday because he said they were waiting to fill up the tables for four instead of tables for two. There were three empty tables and he kept us waiting instead. The service is mediocre. The waitress forgot the silverware, did not check on refills for water, they take long cleaning the tables. this is a place that you would like to go once every three months, not every weekend. read more

Located inside the Revolving Kitchen Food Hall in the Fairview Town Center mall, Tayta Peruvian Restaurant serves up a variety of Peruvian favorites, including a decent choice of seafood dishes. It was a good dining visit, and I was glad that I got to experience it. It shares a dining hall with the many other restauranteurs, but has its own kitchen area in the back. It's a large menu: pretty sure it includes all the classic dishes from Peru. Since I was by myself, decided to get something that I had never tried before, and just hoping to find one more dish that will give me a taste sensation that I've never experienced (hopefully good). The best ceviche I've had before was Peruvian, so decided to get the Tayta Mixto $19 (from menu: "Mixed seafood marinated in onion, cilantro, yuca, and sweet potato accompanied by cancha"). Everything is done through mobile, and used the table QR code to place and pay. It got delivered to the table soon after I placed the mobile order (with text alerts telling me order status). It looked beautiful, with a variety of colors and textures. The portions were small, with a bit of seafood (two shrimp, couple pieces of bass, one NZ mussel, and some cooked squid rings) marinated in a very light, delicate citrus juice marinade...a really good ceviche base, but the seafood ingredients were average at best...wish they had included other seafood like scallops or snapper. Surrounding the mound of ceviche, were cancha (toasted corn nuts), one slice of sweet potato, a brick of cassava (yuca), iceberg lettuce leaf, and what looked like hominy. I ate all of it...really liked the sweet potato, which paired great with the seafood..the rest I wouldn't have missed if not there. The dish definitely did whet my appetite and I ended up ordering more from a different vendor in the food hall. Can't say the value is there, but it is different and worth trying if interested in Peruvian cuisine. read more

Ordered parihuela, chicharron de chancho and arroz con mariscos. All seafood dishes are exceptional. My parihuela is freshly made and piping hot. It goes well with the white rice. The Arroz is a little cold. Wish it can be hotter. The yucca on the chicharon is exceptional. That's what I come all the way here for. But the pork should be pork belly like what shown in the menu photo . The chicharon I had is tough and dried. Not the best I have tasted for sure. Inside the revolving kitchen food court, I will admit I had my doubts. My husband is from Peru and I have visited and my mother in law is quite the Peruvian chef so we are quite picky...my husband ordered ceviche and he has always said if the ceviche is good, that tells you how the rest of the food will be. Well it did not disappoint, I got chaufa mixto, papa huancayena and , my sons got lomo saltado and pollo abraza with all the extra sauces. The salsa verde was my favorite. Everything was tasty and fresh. My husband even said it was the best Peruvian food he has had in the states and I don't disagree. The place itself was fancy for a food hall, great decor and ambiance, and a full bar. We had a robot serve us our food but the actual staff in the food hall was helpful and friendly. read more

I wanted to try this spot because it's hard to find authentic Peruvian food in this area. It's also hard to find this spot if you don't know where it is. Make sure to match up the number on the door with the address and you'll find it quickly. I had a quarter piece of chicken with a side salad and fries. It was adequately spiced and was nice and hot. So this place is in an upscale food court. They have a robot delivering the food to your table. This is the only vendor that provides real plates and utensils, and they also garnish your dishes. The food is so delicious and not salty like other Peruvian restaurants in the area. We eat here once a week because it's so good. read more

First, I didn't realize this was located in a "food hall". It's not really a food hall but a ghost kitchen for several food concepts. Essentially, one kitchen for all the different options. So...if one concept is average, the rest will likely be too. I ordered the aji de gallina - love this dish most of the time. Here, it over overly salty, barely warm, and included chopped walnuts and shredded Parmesan (strange additions). So many better Peruvian options in DFW. As for service - there's none, which is fine. Food is brought out by a robot. Fairview Town Center is where even mediocrity goes to die. Based on the food quality, strange concept, and lack of service I don't see coming back. read more

I love trying new Peruvian restaurants so drove 30 miles to try this place. Ordered a variety of things and the presentation was lovely, but the food lacked freshness and flavor. My ceviche was served in an awkward shaped bowl so the served had to stick his thumb in my food to hold on to it...the ceviche didn't have a lot of flavor but was appropriately spicy. The yucca was completely raw and inedible. The corn tasted like it hadn't been completely thawed from frozen. The Lomo Saltado was completely overcooked - the beef was very tough and chewy and didn't have a good sear. The French fries tasted like frozen supermarket French fries and I didn't appreciate the corn-starchy sauce. The bean sprouts are not a typical garnish and did not care for it. The arroz chaufa with pollo a la brasa lacked flavor, although did look appetizing. I found it to be greasy and lackluster. The Chica Morada was too sweet and had too much clove flavor. Unfortunately, did not have a great experience here! There are far better Peruvian places in town so not worth the drive for me. read more

I have been searching/hoping for a Peruvian restaurant in this area for a long time and I found this one through luck via Uber Eats. The food was delicious and good portions. We ordered way too much because we wanted to try a variety of items, and everything was delicious. Since it was Uber Eats, it was delivered and came well packaged. This is an option in Revolving Kitchen. Food was good. I had the Aji de Gallina which was very good. They have walnuts on it which adds texture. Only negative is charging for any side sauces. Sat at the bar. The bartender is excellent and very helpful. read more
