Whole chickens wings, collard greens, candied yams! Everything was seasoned perfectly, HOT and FRESH. Very friendly staff. I will certainly be back.

This review is specific to my catering order for Thanksgiving. I've eaten at the restaurant only one time before. I ordered the fried Turkey and cornbread dressing for the holiday. The fried Turkey was a little on the dry side and so was the cornbread dressing. The flavor for both were okay. I loved the food that I purchased before; however, I was disappointed with my catering order.

Ordered take out here for the first time on a Saturday for the family. Got meals plus desserts. I have a sweet tooth so I'm starting there. The desserts were the best part of the meal! We got peach cobbler, strawberry cake, and chocolate cake. All tasted like they came straight from my grandmothers kitchen. The strawberry cake was AMAZING!! Like, THE best I've had EVER! And for the portion sizes all reasonably priced at $3.00. For meals we had turkey ribs and dressing, pork chops and mashed potatoes, chicken and waffles, fried chicken wings, cheeseburger and fries. We also got a gallon of lemonade/tea. If you like a lot of sage in your dressing you'd love the dressing. I happen not to like a lot. The cheeseburger was HUGE and reasonably priced. I think this is my new dessert spot.

Ordered with Postmates and boy! This plate is banging! I got smothered pork chops, fried squash and lima beans. We also got a veggie plate with mac and cheese, broccoli casserole and collards. Literally the only bad thing I have to say is the greens were just very salty (I doctored with hot sauce and vinegar, fine) but everything else? So so good! Can't wait to get to dessert!

    Fat Back

The staff is very friendly and I would rate them a 5 in a scale from 1-5. The food was terrible. I ordered the daily special which was smothered chicken. The food had absolutely no taste to it. I don't know if they don't use seasonings in order to protect the customer's health or what. If so, I wish they would post a sign stating this. The sides I had were Mac and cheese and potato salad. I think they put garlic salt in their potato salad, it tasted off. I also had a slice of lemon cake... threw it all out after 1 bite of each. I did enjoy the mix tea and lemonade and the 5 piece of fat back. I doubt I will be visiting again but again, their customer service is A1.

Fried Chicken, cornbread, Mac & cheese and Collard Greens
    Sarah M.

To start with the good, the Mac & cheese and cornbread were great and something I would order again. However for the bad, the chicken easy dry & flavorless. The collards were also disappointing and flavorless. I had ordered this through Uber eats and was very excited to try their peach cobbler but unfortunately it must've been forgotten at the restaurant :/ overall this is not a place I will return to.

The restaurant is beautiful inside and attention to detail is there through and through. Service was absolutely impeccable throughout the entire night. Great attitude in the staff and felt truly cared for the entire time.. The food was like level 10 tried a variety of different dishes, and everyone was on point every time. To top it off the presentation of the food. I'm beautiful dishes just made it even better. Cocktails are fantastic. Truly enjoyed the entire night and would absolutely recommend a visit for anyone looking for a amazing night out with fantastic food and service..

This is another hard review. I really want to like this place from all the social media (local…read moremedia to some more well known YouTubers), it has me hype up for this place. Well I came here on Labor Day and felt disappointed. First let's starts with the good, the service staff were awesome. My waitress was on point, when I finished my Diet Coke, there always more just showed up. Also, my finished plates always picked up after I come back with new plates of food. All the staffs were working hard. So let's get into the bad, the decor mostly beautiful and trying to provide a fine dining experience, but the floor was scratched up, I not trying to pick on it, but if you are fine dining it needs attention to details. We came here for Labor Day lunch buffet, which is about $46 per person. This is something newer that they started a month or two ago, it is a small scale buffet that is not the same as the weekend brunch buffet that cost $86 per person. It has okay selection of food. So here is what you should expect, make your poke station with shrimp, diced salmon, diced tuna, and crab sticks meat. A station with chicken sandwiches and salmon toasts. Cold station, also has cucumber salad, ceviche, and squid salad. Chicken dumplings, cocktails shrimps, raw oysters, shrimp and grits, creamy chicken, seafood fried rice, Korean style fried chicken wings, salmon pasta, beef pasta dish, creamy salmon dish, blue crab, crawfish, fruits, and desserts. Also you can order miso soup and Tom Ka soup from the waitress. The menu said Sushi, there was not any sushi. No nigiri or any type of rolls, if you consider making your own poke as sushi then you can say you have sushi. The food was mostly ok as for the taste, Korean fried chicken is my favorite from the list, shrimp and grits not bad too. Everything else is ok, it is more on salty side for most of the dishes. The Tom Ka soup is really salty. The miso soup, it is not normal they put seaweed salad mix with it, normally they put Nori in it. Also there is a spoon of rice with the miso soup, strange. The cocktails shrimps is okay, oyster is ok too just on the smaller side. For $46, is it worth the value, i think it is expensive with tips and tax, it costs almost $60 per person. The selection for weekday lunch buffet is okay. Other things to consider is parking, parking is easy to find at Queen's City Quarter aka Epicenter, but it costs $6 per 30 mins, my parking was $30. This restaurant was one my list to try, I want to try their cheaper buffet before I tried their weekend brunch buffet, but the experience just wasn't that good for me to try their $86 brunch, it is really expensive considering in Nobu Atlanta has really good brunch for $80 AYCE also. Last couple more things, dress code, it is super chill, I saw t-shirts, sneakers flip-flops, shorts were all there for this lunch on Labor Day. Just drop the dress code if you don't enforce it, it was all over my reservation email. The other thing is we were there when they open at 11:30am with a group of 9. We were one of the first customers to be there, they didn't seem to have my table ready, seems strange. Also saw what seems to be the manager walking around, she didn't seem friendly at all, not once ask how was everything or acknowledged me that the table will ready soon. It was very strange. Update: We put a $100 deposit down for reservations that supposed to apply to the final bill, but the waitress said it will refund back to me. When I didn't see any type of pending for couple of days, so I call the restaurant they just process it after 4 days. What if I never called, I don't think I can recommend this place to anyone at this point.

Including my other favorite, red snapper. The menu has a ton of options. I kept it light and just ordered the basa sandwich and a side of fried okra. Love me some okra! The basa sandwich did not disappoint! They give 3 nice size pieces of fish. Perfectly fried. Not greasy. It was hard to tell what all I could have on my sandwich since that wasn't visible on the menu but the owner insisted I could build it however I want. So I did mustard, lettuce, tomato, cheese on a bun. I got my tarter sauce & hot sauce on the side. She served my sandwich w/o the cheese due to it not over powering thr flavor. I was too hungry to care so I ate it anyway. I can eat it with out without but since she didn't charge me for the cheese, I didn't complain. It was so good I never sat it back down once I picked it up. Sandwich in one had, my free hand grabbing the fried okra bites. The fried okra was also fried perfectly but could have used a little more flavor. Sometimes it's tricky with okra bc too much seasoning will make it unbearable. I'd rather it have less seasoning than too much. Would order it again! I also grabbed a lemon pound cake. Not sure it if was actually lemon and couldn't say anything while there since I ate it once I got home. The size of the piece was huge but was more on the dry side and didn't taste lemony. Could have been traditional pound cake. They have a lunch special for $10 I saw on the street sign while leaving. I'm definitely coming back! Damn near once a month if I can. But will for sure be a regular. It's located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking!

Some of our party sent their food back. My husband asked for a White Russian and they had to remake it three times and still didn't get it right. They had that drink loaded down with milk and had absolutely no alcohol in it. Oh, and let's talk about the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls. The inside had a nice taste but the hot sweet chili drizzle on it made the aftertaste horrible. I would suggest maybe putting that on the side or leaving it off the plate all together. It was not a good experience being our first time there. It was other parties there that were experiencing similar issues with drinks, quality of food and excessive wait times. Maybe it was an off night and originally I thought they were short staffed but that was not the case. This was a one and done for a lot of us that night (people in my party and other visitors).

I've dined at…read moreEddie V's before and have always associated it with exceptional food and impeccable service. Unfortunately, this Restaurant Week visit was nothing like the Eddie V's I remembered. I dined solo at the bar and actually had to ask for the Restaurant Week menu. I chose the upgraded lobster bisque (+$5) and Chilean sea bass (+$10), looking forward to treating myself. I rarely splurge on a nice dinner, so this was something I had been excited about all day. The food was mixed. The lobster bisque was flavorful, although the amount of lobster was surprisingly small. The mashed potatoes were outstanding, and the asparagus was very good. The Chilean sea bass was cooked well but lacked seasoning and wasn't the memorable entrée I expected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. The restaurant was less than half full during my visit, so the extended delays were especially surprising. I waited an unusually long time for my entrée while guests who arrived after me were served first. Another surprise was that the only restroom I was directed to required going down to the basement, which was difficult with my mobility issues (I need my knee replaced). I would encourage the restaurant to make it clearer whether there is an accessible restroom available on the main floor, as this could be challenging for many guests. After another long wait for dessert, I asked to have my crème brûlée boxed because the delays meant I would now be walking back to my hotel after dark. I explained that I had intentionally walked there for exercise and had planned to walk back before dark. The response I received was simply, "Just call an Uber." That completely missed the point. I wasn't asking for transportation--I was explaining how the delays had changed my evening. To add to the confusion, I was given two desserts instead of the one I requested. While I appreciate the gesture if it was intended that way, it reinforced the feeling that no one was really listening. What disappointed me most wasn't simply the wait. It was the complete lack of service recovery. No sincere apology, no acknowledgment of how long I'd waited, and no effort to make the experience feel special. I've always thought of Eddie V's as one of Charlotte's premier dining experiences. That's exactly why this visit was so disappointing. I sincerely hope this was an isolated experience because I'd like to remember Eddie V's for the exceptional restaurant it has been in the past.
