The sandwich was as delicious as it was messy; the sandwich had huge, white piece chunks of chicken- moist, seasoned, and flavorful, through and through. I feel like this place is the only locally owned bbq spot on the East Valley. My hubby has been here several times and he loves it. I was here yesterday 1/16/26. The place is on Requa and Indio Blvd. Across .. the storage place. Ambiance was chill - maybe typical hipstery rib shack? Im not sure. Noise level is average. The space is bigger there I expected. The service was impeccable. This is what I got: 3 meat 2 sides plate (tri-tip, bbq chicken and sausage, bbq beans, salad and chipotle Mac n cheese) 8 oz dev. pot sal. 16 oz chip. Mac n cheese 16 BBQ beans Tri Tip Chili I can't speak on the meats because I didn't have any straight up. I'm more of a rib gal anyway, and this place doesn't have any... at least not on the online menu. The tri tip chili was bomb. It had squares if cornbread in it too. *Chefs kiss*. Very savory. I did add my own sharp cheddar later because I love chili with cheddar. Chipotle Mac n Cheese was yummy! I expected it to have a bit of a kick, but it wasnt spicy. It just adds a layer of deliciousness to it. BBQ beans were good. They were a bit firmer then others I've had in the past. Not to my liking, but overall still yummy. Last but not least, the deviled eggs potato salad tastes exactly as it's title. I love deviled eggs. I'd actually use this as the stuffing in a deviled egg. Excellent BBQ!! We stopped in after being excused from jury duty. What a great find. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the place is clean and had some great music playing. We ordered the trip-tip sandwich and a rack of bbq baby back ribs. Both were smoked and cooked to perfection. The tri-tip was flavorful, tender, and tasted great with their own bbq sauce on top. The hours of business are crazy, it is off the beat and path in Indio , and the bbq menu is very unusual. We first wanted to go one Sunday but they are closed Sunday and Monday. It's clean and cute to dine in but it's very confusing to try and order the first time you visit because the items are by the pound and half pound. The young girl at the counter was very sweet but she couldn't answer any questions about amounts. So we ended up ordering way too much sausage which wasn't our favorite. A half pound would have been enough. There were three of us dining at home. The potato salad was exceptional followed by the Mac and cheese , tri tip-, and the spicy bbq sauce. The beans were good but a tad sweet .the chicken was boneless thighs which might be better in a sandwich than eaten alone. I thought the garlic bread, slaw, and the corn were just ok. Absolutely my FAVORITE bbq between here are Corpus Christi Texas where we also have a home. Employees are ALWAYS super sweet and helpful. They always check to be sure you are enjoying your order. My only request is that they switch to paper for the hot beans and mac n cheese. I try not to eat hot stuff out of plastic. Only eat the center part where it does not touch the plastic. Landed here at the restaurant because the one we wanted to go to was too busy and I'm so glad that it was because this place is a hidden gem. You walk in and you are greeted by pretty much all the workers that are working out in front. When I asked the young lady taking the orders she answered my questions. Thank you. The restaurant is small but has a lot of seating and things to look at. When receiving my food it was laid out on this pan and everything tasted delicious!!! The pulled pork was soft and juicy, the brisket pulled apart just right, and flavor was lovely. With the added BBQ sauce that is on the table spicy and sweet made the meat taste that much better. We had the tri-tip, pulled pork, and bbq chicken. The tri-tip was smoky, very tender, and so tasty. The pulled pork and the chicken were equally delicious. Like really, really delicious. The slaw and potato salad were good but not the star of the show, which was ok by me. The plate also came with super yummy garlic bread . I personally liked the tri tip but the pulled pork was the one that won as the favorite. We had beens, corn and the mac and cheese was really good. The mash potatoes went fast and next time I'll need to order a second tray of that. they were on time to setup and they also plated the food for everyone and that made the line go quick so no ones standing in line to long for food. The meats are usually the highest point in any BBQ place. Pulled pork a hair dry, but great taste. TriTip was tender. Using Linguiça (instead of the usual hotlinks) is kind of original, in a good way. They were a bit spicy and went well with the hot BBQ sauce. But really, it's the sides. Thick, sticky Mac & Cheese, full of sharp white cheddar bite. Molasses flavored beans that stuck together in clump. Brought back memories of my father's Boston Baked Beans from long ago. Roasted corn "off the cob" was as good as any upscale Mexican restaurant. I put a bit of Cotija on it when I got it home. Service was quick, friendly and efficient.
