First time at Babe's and will most definitely be back! This place is absolutely delicious. Their Brisket Sandwich was HUGE and so flavorful. Their Mac and Cheese was beyond addicting and I will forever be craving it. Their coconut sorbet was a great treat after the meal! Mark, our server, went above and beyond and was a pleasure to be around. He was so funny and ensured our meal was great. Babe's has great seating options (indoor and outdoor), a large bar, and is perfect for lunch or dinner!!

Food is amazing and the service is superb! The sauce is sweet and smoky, the meat is tender and juicy. Will definitely be coming back.

Waited less than 10 minutes for an inside table and was greeted by Trisha, our waitress. She took our order right away and then soon after our starters came out. After 10, minutes, the main course came, hot and delicious. We will definitely be back!

$17.00 Starter - Sweet Corn Tamale - Different and a lot of food. Off regular menu. Excellent.

YELP SHORT ANSWER: Yes UPDATED review and well worth it. I will try and just give updated info. LOCATION: Excellent location located in Canopy in Citrus Center off of Jefferson and 50th. Easy to find and easy to park. FACILITY: Quality Building, nothing but the best. MENU: Now limited, toned down and I feel prefect for the location and demographic of guests. Glad to see they added, and then modified their HAPPY HOUR which is well worth the visit itself - 3:30pm to 5:30pm every day. FOOD PREP: Professional, quality showing they know everyone eats with their eyes first... it shows here. FOOD QUALITY: I was blown away by their HAPPY HOUR offerings. While the plating was top notch, the aroma, texture and taste were amazing and we ordered way too much. LIBATIONS: Again, Happy Hour/s had very fair deals on beer and well drinks. I took a photo of the Happy Hour menu, bottom right short and sweet. WAITSTAFF: On this visit, everyone was great and our server was very kind, fun and attentive so perfect. OVERALL VALUE: HAPPY HOUR has made me want to come back and now recommend Babe's without a caveat of options and price. Oh, prices off the regular menu are expensive, $25 for a tavern hamburger and everything goes up from there, but wait a tick. I could never finish a Babe's tavern burger so we'd split it maybe with a salad so not too bad. They did not seem to dis the sharing idea, I feel they should encourage it. TIP: If you've visited this new Indio / La Quinta location and were turned off by whatever, I feel Lucky and team have now found a really good spot that is now welcoming to all wallet sizes. Sure many tabs here will surpass what I consider reasonable for food but to many of my neighbors simply don't care about cost, they will pay way up for fun, service, quality of food, and the entire dining experience. Go Visit but MAKE RESERVATIONS, maybe a bar drop in at 3:30pm will work.

The food here was amazing! Started with the Corn bread (a dream in a skillet topped with butter) and the Shrimp dish with the most delicious tomato sauce. Ordered the "Pig 2" St. Louis and Baby back ribs that came with a huge candy yam and baked beans (not pictured, went strait down the hatch) lol and finished with the Lemon Wow Pie. Top notch barbecue, let me tell you! I love this place! There's a nice bar and a few spots for indoor dining, with a view into the kitchen. We were treated like family here, the staff was friendly and the bartender went above and beyond for us. Thanks Babe's! We'll be back!!

Ask the Community - Babe's Smokehouse & Tavern

    Do they deliver?

Not that I am aware of, though they may use Door Dash or Grubhub. I'd recommend contacting them, they open at 3:00 every day

Are they open 4th? Can you pickup food?

    I x lb9 K seek m no nook m

OpenTable only has outdoor seating available for reservation on any date I check. Does the new location not have indoor seating?

Yes, they have indoor seating. Must make reservations. Their prices are high and not worth it!

Yelp says reopen on the 8th but googles says permanently closed, anyone know for sure?

Yes, the one that says closed is for the location at The River. The relocated one is open in La Quinta.

Tell us about the owner? Tell us more please. Thanks

The story is on their menu! A relative to the Marie Callendar famous pie bakery!

What's better at Louis ribs or baby back ribs?

Both are excellent. Can't go wrong either one.

    Is the place dog-friendly?

I do not recall ever seeing anyone with a dog dining there. Perhaps when it's cooler and dining in the patio. I would call first

    Do they have hard seltzer?

    They have a full bar.

Are the fries gluten free and not coated with flour?

They're not coated. I'm sure their menu would specify if they're gluten free.

I see that the family meal comes with 2 sides & feeds 3-4 people but it does not state the meat that comes with it or if you have choices? Can anyone clarify?

When we pulled back around to the front, there were some yellow pylons near the front of the entrance and some garbage on one of the outdoor tables and it looked very dark inside as if the lights were off, we figured they had to have been closed so we drove off to have dinner elsewhere. A bit later, we get a notice from OpenTable that we did not check in so I called the restaurant the following day to ask them what happened, the nice young lady that answered the phone told us that they were open at the time of our reservation. If they were indeed open, what a turn off to have only two cars in the parking lot, pylons in front and trash stacked on the outdoor table, I can't imagine what the inside would look like or the kitchen.

You don't want to live near the first row during a fan frenzy. It's a high risk // high reward world to existent in, but when the dust settles and you're seeking sanctuary the Coachella Craft Beer Barn is a literal oasis in a desert. The festival is mostly a cash-based society, but CCBB is one of the few areas that accept credit cards. Under the comfort of a tent you can barter for drafts from established breweries like Stone, Victory and The Bruery. Also present are sudsy start-ups like Coronado, Faction and La Quinta and their beer flows like blood in a Motorhead mosh-pit. There are some truly rare and exceptional selections, but enjoying a tequila-barrel aged ale or imperial pilsner comes at a cost. The more you drink, the more you miss. First, it's an exhausting 5-15 minute walk in 90+ degree weather from any of the stages. Not a big deal once or twice but over 36 hours it adds up. Second, bands perform in quick succession so you'll have to choose whether you really want a craft beer or see live music. Third, because it's open to all-ages, the promoters quarantine drinkers whom cannot leave with intoxicants. The rules are enforced to protect minors, but I'd like to enjoy a crafty beer while listening to bands...crazy I know. Find another way...like secluding the kids, they're the minority. It's pretty much a wasteland outside the Barn's city limits; low quality carnival foods, soft drinks and merchandise. Inside you'll find luxuries you took for granted in your pre-Coachella world like seating, freshly prepared meals and restrooms rather than port-a-potties. If there's a gap in your schedule rest your weary bones here, trust me you don't want to be anywhere else.

The KDJ did an outstanding job keeping the energy up and making everyone feel welcome. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and helped create a great atmosphere throughout the evening. Another thing worth mentioning is that the bathrooms were clean, which is always appreciated and says a lot about how a place is maintained.
