What started as a place to grab a great beer has turned into a place where perfect strangers have become lifelong friends. The in-house brewed beers are, in our opinion, the best in the Coachella Valley. There's always something new to try, and we love that we can take our favorites home in cans to enjoy later. Lizzy, Chris, Steph & Kyle have created something incredibly special and rare in the Valley. The service is A+ and their weekly lineup of live entertainment, events, food vendors, and community gatherings means there's always something to look forward to, and if there's a game on, you can count on it being on one of the TVs. More than anything, Indio Brewing has built a community. It's a place where friends become family, where neighbors genuinely know one another, and where you can unwind after a long day in a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through the Coachella Valley, do yourself a favor and belly up to the bar, order a flight, and discover your new favorite beer. We also ordered a drink that was supposed to include egg white, but it was served without it. After having issues with four dishes and a drink during the same visit, we felt that something was clearly off with the kitchen and bar that evening. We asked the owner, who was sitting next to us at the bar, whether the chef had changed because it seemed like the restaurant was simply having an off night. What happened next was even more disappointing. At first, the owner pretended that he wasn't the owner and said that he knew nothing about the restaurant. After overhearing our continued discussion about the quality of the food and drinks, he confronted us and said, "We don't need patrons like you at our restaurant. There are plenty of other restaurants for you to eat at. Why don't you just leave?" We were not being disrespectful or unreasonable--we were simply disappointed with the food and drinks and trying to understand what had happened. Being spoken to that way by the owner was insulting, completely uncalled for, and genuinely hurtful. I do want to make one thing very clear: the staff and bartenders who work at Cork & Fork were wonderful. They felt terrible about what happened and made it clear that they believed the owner's behavior toward us was completely inappropriate. After we left, several staff members actually followed us outside to apologize on behalf of the owner for the way he had spoken to us. Their kindness and concern were greatly appreciated, and this review is not a reflection of them. There are many excellent restaurants in La Quinta, and based on this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere. We would strongly suggest considering the many other fine establishments in La Quinta before choosing Cork & Fork.

You don't want to live near the first row during a fan frenzy. It's a high risk // high reward world to existent in, but when the dust settles and you're seeking sanctuary the Coachella Craft Beer Barn is a literal oasis in a desert. The festival is mostly a cash-based society, but CCBB is one of the few areas that accept credit cards. Under the comfort of a tent you can barter for drafts from established breweries like Stone, Victory and The Bruery. Also present are sudsy start-ups like Coronado, Faction and La Quinta and their beer flows like blood in a Motorhead mosh-pit. There are some truly rare and exceptional selections, but enjoying a tequila-barrel aged ale or imperial pilsner comes at a cost. The more you drink, the more you miss. First, it's an exhausting 5-15 minute walk in 90+ degree weather from any of the stages. Not a big deal once or twice but over 36 hours it adds up. Second, bands perform in quick succession so you'll have to choose whether you really want a craft beer or see live music. Third, because it's open to all-ages, the promoters quarantine drinkers whom cannot leave with intoxicants. The rules are enforced to protect minors, but I'd like to enjoy a crafty beer while listening to bands...crazy I know. Find another way...like secluding the kids, they're the minority. It's pretty much a wasteland outside the Barn's city limits; low quality carnival foods, soft drinks and merchandise. Inside you'll find luxuries you took for granted in your pre-Coachella world like seating, freshly prepared meals and restrooms rather than port-a-potties. If there's a gap in your schedule rest your weary bones here, trust me you don't want to be anywhere else.
