    Korean Ribs and coleslaw
    Tony F.

Im in town for work and wanted BBQ so I fired up the Yelp App and searched. I came across this place, its bot far from my hotel and decided to give it a try. It is in a small strip mall, the place is homey the music is very eclectic. I got there when it was happy hour. So I had the Brisket sliders (2) and got them with their thin sliced potato chips with blue cheese. This was very good. I also got the Korean BBQ Ribs (2) with spicy Coleslaw. The slider where excellent brisket was moist and had lots of flavor. The ribs were sticky, tender and sweet with a slight kick. The coleslaw was spicy and for me it was addictive!!! Service was quick, server/bartender was engaging. This is not your typical BBQ place which is fine, they think outside the box. Give this place a try you wont be disappointed.

OMG! The overall best BBQ I've ever had! This is based on our weekend getaway while in Palm Springs. The menu is extensive with so many options I wish I lived in the vicinity just so I can try everything I want off the menu. From their Meat plate section, we ordered the brisket and 1/2 rack of ribs priced at $38 it comes with two sides and cornbread. The ribs were fall off the bone clean! Perfectly juicy, fatty and really flavorful. The brisket was the same, both were slathered with bbq sauce. We opted for cornbread with potato salad and onion rings for the sides. It is rare that I love everything at a bbq joint. Everything we tried tasted great! Potato salad was just the way I like it. Onions rings were perfectly crisp. Corn bread drizzled with honey. It didn't have the crisp edges that I love but it was fluffy and tasty! Can't wait to go back, I'll be dreaming of the best bbq! We visited midday it was not super busy. Staff were friendly. Restaurant really clean. Every time from now on, when I order ribs, I'll be praying to the BBQ gods... be like Bubba's, please be like Bubba's! Enjoy!!! Simply the best! Series: 2 2025: 51

3.5 Stars Stopped in for lunch. Josephine was tending bar as well as waiting on the whole restaurant, and the service was good. Bubba's has amazing BBQ in a bar/restaurant environment with both indoor and patio dining available. Private parking lot and usually easy to find a spot. DRINK: Full bar with beers on tap and bottle, wine, cocktails, and lots of flavored margaritas. $2 off all drinks during Happy Hour, which is daily from 3pm - 6pm. FOOD: I'm dropping my review score slightly based on our recent lunch experience. We ordered off their "Summer Specials" menu, and while my beer battered Fish & Chips ($18) were prepared perfectly crispy on the outside and flakey/moist on the inside and was served with an interesting coleslaw (tangy and fruity) and a delicious tartar sauce. My wife ordered the Prosciutto Pizza ($16) which was very lite on the prosciutto and heavy on the arugula and balsamic drizzle. We did mention this to Josephine, and she reached out to the manager, who graciously reduced the cost of the pizza by 50%. My wife commented that next time she'll stick to the BBQ. Beside the issue with the pizza, Bubba's food is very good and I'm certain we'll be back for more. I do recommend you check them out when in the area.

Bubba's makes the BEST wedge salad I've ever had! Their wings and sauces are outrageously good. The chili cheese fries are delicious. The service is always quick and friendly. The decor is so interesting to check out while you're waiting for your food. One of my very favorite places to eat.

We stopped by around 3 pm on our way into Palm Desert for the weekend. There was plenty of seating in the bar and main dining area, and we were seated right away. The waitress quickly took our order, and we started with cocktails (a beer and a blackberry margarita) and a happy hour appetizer of Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls / Jalapeño Sausage Wontons. The egg rolls had pulled pork and were really tasty; the wontons were a little spicy for me but hubby couldn't taste the spice. We also got a happy hour appetizer of Sausage and Wings with Spicy Bourbon Sauce. The wings had a lot of meat and the sausage had good flavor. For the main course we got the Fish & Chips (they have an option with two pieces, which was still too big) and Fiery Pork Belly Sandwich. My hubby enjoyed trying all sauces on the sandwich, the fish was light and flaky, and the fries were super crispy. We had leftovers to take back to the condo. We wanted to get a dessert to go but they were out of all the to go options, so we had to eat the churro donuts there. They were delicious. If you're a sports fan, they have 4 TVs playing different sporting events. Only downside is they serve Pepsi, so that just means more cocktails. We will definitely come back next time we're in town.

Rating closer to 3.5. Cute dive bar in PS. It was surprisingly quite empty on a Saturday evening, though they did have quite a few takeout orders. Our server was attentive, and everyone was pleasant. Food was a bit on the pricy side: the teriyaki wings were v good (I asked for them to be made extra crispy and they delivered!), the mac and cheese egg rolls were OK and so were the onion rings. Nothing to write home about, but would definitely come back and try some of the other items on the menu if I'm ever in town.

Western Burger w/ sidewinder fries garlic and parm

Delicious! I've booked marked this spot over the last few trips to town and finally got to stop in. The space is a small in size and big on flavor. With football on Thursday evening it was a hit with lots of people. I'm not an alcohol drinker and I'm loving how establishments have non alcoholic beers available because sometimes it just calls you to have a crisp cool non alcoholic beers with a burger. I got the western burger which was massive cooked to perfection and flavorful with the bbq sauce and two big ole onion rings. I got a side of garlic parm sidewinder fries to pair with it and it was amazing. I also couldn't leave without trying the beer chili and corn bread. The chili is hit the soul good on a cold day and the corn bread had great texture with the butter and honey blend on top to hit the taste bud. A great meal indeed.

Look at those clean rib bones

Wow! After reading the reviews, I was excited for the ribs and to see if they really fell off the bone and wow, did it deliver. The meat fell right off the bone, not a piece left on it. The brisket amazing. The chicken amazing and also falls off the bone. So full from the meat that I couldn't eat the sides, but those were good too (corn was just ok, but who cares when the meat was so good). I would maybe ask for a little less bbq sauce smothered on top, but to each their own. I could only imagine this gives Texas a run for their money.

We were in town for an annual bowling tournament and we decided to try out this place based on a recommendation from some fellow bowlers that dined here before. It's a small town medium size place that also offers an outside patio. We were immediately greeted by our server and offered to take our drink orders. Once she delivered our drinks, she took our food orders. I opted for the jalapeño & sausage wontons and the brisket tacos. Everything was seasoned well and prepared properly. Our server was friendly and professional and stayed on top of refilling our drinks, as needed. I wouldn't mind coming back the next time I am in town.

Such a great little gem in Cathedral City! There wasn't a dish on the table that I wouldn't order again. It was a nice warm breezy night so we chose to sit outside and enjoy the weather and great food. This was my first time here but I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again. I'm not a seafood person, but I was the one who ordered the fish 'n chips. AMAZING! So tender with just the right amount of crunchy batter.... Such a generous portion of fries as well. The wait staff were all friendly and looked like they truely loved what they did.

How has it been a year ago since I've last dined here. That time it was for dinner which normally…read moreI've only been for brunch. No exceptions, we were back for brunch once again. We arrived just after 1pm which it was pretty quiet. It's a big space so if there's not a good amount of people, it does look sparse. But about 20 minutes or so after we arrived, people did start to arrive and it did get pretty lively. Checked in with the hostess which we were given option on where we wanted to be seated. Hi top, low top, booth or the bar. Option is alway a good thing. We went with the booth seating as it was quite roomy and had a nice back cushion. Of course our waiter David was the sweetest. He remembered us from way back but something else was there that I couldn't put my finger on. Asked him if he worked somewhere else which he did and the funny thing was, he took care of us there about a month and half ago. Guess the desert restaurant experience, you'll run into the same people. Very sweet there and the exact same here. Made the dining situation great. Brunch menu does offer a good amount of items. A mixture of breakfast items, egg dishes, sandwiches and salads as well as miscellaneous items. Plus they have the mimosas deal. You can either go straight with champagne with 2 refills for 12.00 or mimosas with 2 refill for 14.00. Not bad and alway a must for brunch. Food wise, I'm not a burger person but something about the "Gregor" looked interesting. 1/2 pound of fresh ground angus beef, Kobe short rib, beer cheese sauce, romaine lettuce, tomato onion jam, dill pickles in a brioche bun. Also had it with an over easy egg. It's massive and a little messy picking everything up. Not a burger lover but this item was quite tasty. The meats were juicy and there was enough of it. It was worth having a burger. That was served with fries which was more like shaved potatoes. Also the Rolys Cubano sandwich. Pressed under iron skillet roasted pork, Virginia ham, Gruyère cheese, dill pickles and sour cherry Dijon. It wasn't the same as I've had at Cubans restaurants in Miami and others but it was tasty. A little different from what I'm used to but it was good. Also comes with a side which we went with onion rings for an additional fee. They were quite tasty and big. Cooked well and nice and crunchy. Refills of mimosas were always on time whenever the glass was empty. Service was excellent. Everyone working was major dolls. David was excellent and made sure that we were taken cared of with anything we needed. Water was always refilled when it was emptied. The place did picked up during our meal and after we left. They do have patio seating but no one wants to be out when it's triple digit. We enjoyed and had a great time for brunch. Until next time.

The layers of cream cheese semifreddo, carrot ribbon cream, candied pecans, orange crisps, and salted caramel were absolutely incredible. I would honestly come back to Eight4Nine just for the carrot cake. Everything we had was delicious, but the dessert stole the show without a doubt. A big thank you to Sandy, our waitress, for the great recommendations and wonderful service. We loved celebrating our anniversary here and definitely want to come back!

Located at The River, a little shopping and dining area in the desert. More dining than shopping as there's like 3 shops there. REI being the main shop and also the biggest. The others are small mom and pop shops. Yard house, with a few other dining options do offer happy hours which is amazing. Also if you check out NextDoor, loads have mentioned that YH is great for happy hour. We stopped in right after 3 when HH started. It was still pretty mellow inside and the bar counter had a few people. We seated ourselves as we wanted the bar. It did take a little while until someone actually acknowledged us. After that it was fine. Sylvana took care of us which I believe she had before. Sweet and friendly and made sure that we were taken cared of. Within 15 minutes or so after we got seated, the place did picked up a lot. I'm thinking it was for HH as the bar area was full as well as the surrounding hi top tables. People know about their great deals. Drinks are well priced, cocktails and wine are also offered. Then you have the food, half off on appetizers. Majority of them available minus a few that aren't listed. We wanted something to munch on as we were having dinner later on. Shared the mushroom pizza which I highly recommend. Thin crust but very tasty with the sweet glaze. One of my favorite item for HH. Also the chicken lettuce wrap. Seemed like the lettuce has gotten less and less...lol... Still a decent amount of meat inside a fried wonton cup and served with two dipping sauce. Simple dish but quite delicious. Both item is a recommendation and alway delicious. All the Yard house are consistent with their food so you know what to expect at whatever location you maybe at. If you haven't been for HH, it's one of the better one and well priced.

I had originally called about 40 minutes beforehand, so I was very disappointed with the wait. When I asked the ladies at the front about my order, the manager, I believe, was very rude and unhelpful. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but the way I was treated made the experience even more frustrating. I hope management can work on both the order preparation time and customer service.
