We had enjoyed their sandwiches before at Village Fest in PS. I had always wanted an easier access at sampling their wares, besides having to fight the crowd on Thursday nights. Finally, after having this bookmarked for a couple of months, we made it in for lunch. This place is right off of Requa & Indio Blvd., so keep your head on a swivel and you will not miss their sign. The place is small, but tidy with family-casual seating. If the music that had been blaring RAP, would have been Country, I could easily have thought I had been time-warped into a Paso Robles establishment. The smell & the feel reminds me so much of Central Cali. I had the Tri-Tip Sandwich with a side of Mac N' Cheese. My wife ordered the Taco Trio, while the kids enjoyed the Pulled Pork Sliders & a BBQ Chicken Sandwich. The moans & groans of eating quality meat were quickly evident. The meat in my roll was sliced right, devoid of THICK pieces or fat. I was dousing the meat with their SPICY sauce as if I was a fireman extinguishing a blaze. It was delicioso!! All of us were fully gratified, The servers were also patient & friendly. We did arrive around noon, but there was a major rush after we finished. We will definitely return, as this place is relatively close to the beauty shop we frequent. read more

This bbq is so good!!!! We ordered a ton of stuff and it was also extremely reasonably priced, even with delivery. I got chicken with 2 sides. The chicken was seriously phenomenal (juicy, flavor, big portion). The bbq sauce was a great combo of spicy and sweet. Lastly, one of my items I ordered wasn't available, so they called to ask if I would like it to be swapped for something else. 5 stars for food, communication, and price! This restaurant smelled great as we walked up as they were actively barbecuing on an open grill in the back. The restaurant was clean. Our order was taken by a friendly worker, and the food was delivered to our table a few moments later. The beans were spicy and flavorful, and the corn was also well seasoned. Our meat was well cooked, but my pulled pork lacked flavor. I did not find the available sauce to be very flavorful, either. Th tables were being promptly cleared and cleaned. read more

My wife and I have been trying to find a new BBQ in the valley and finally found it. It opens early which is great. Has lunch specials and the ladies at the front are so awesome and helpful. The dining room has plenty of seating and there is plenty of parking during lunch. It's our new weekly bbq and sometimes we eat there twice a week now. Chicken pork and tri tip are great. Cornbread and loaded tots are awesome also. Give it a try!! You won't be disappointed. It's priced fairly also. read more

I'm from the south and am picky about my retail BBQ. I went to a hockey game and at halftime looked for snacks. They had a pop up but it was already COMPLETELY sold out, I knew I had to try. This is my fourth visit the food is always good prices reasonable. This is the best by far in the desert, but ck their hours. They close early due to their catering business-EnJOY! read more

Very disappointed! It was today Friday at 2pm the ran out of some sides stating that they close at 4pm and if they ran out they don't make anymore. First they were incredibly nice and very conscious of the the condition of the restaurant during these crazy times. Staff was super friendly as well. We purchased 2 of their Saturday specials, "the Marf" which was their Tri Tip and their Mac&Cheese sandwich and their regular Tri Tip sandwich. I also had a side of their coleslaw. The Tri tip was great, I tried their regular sauce and their spicy sauce both were good, I also took a bite of the Marf and it was amazing as well. The coleslaw was perfect, cabbage was crisp and sauce was light so very refreshing with the sandwich. It's just 3 minutes off 10 so don't worry about pulling off. read more

This is the SPOT! My experience started off right with friendly and efficient service at the counter. There were a few people in line but the line moved fast and before long I had ordered. My order was brought to me in just a few minutes. For My two meat plate I chose: Linguisa which was flavorful with a nice little bit of spice Tri tip, which was tender and seasoned perfectly. I would have never known this place existed if the female was not standing at the corner twirling the sign. I went with a group of friends and tried the famous brisket sandwich. I will begin with the positive. The sandwich had good flavor, the meat was not dry, the bread was good and the spicy BBQ sauce was on point. The ugly. The sandwich is overpriced for the portion you get. There is no lunch combo or lunch special, specifically for the sandwich. They have no courtesy cups to drink water. You would have to settle for a soft drink or pay $2.25 for a bottle of water. I don't see myself spending over $15 for lunch at this location any time soon. read more

Awesome bbq tri tip, got one pound of meat and 2 big fresh delicious sandwhich rolls for 22$. The meat was tender and juicy and me and my mother loved every bite of our sandwiches. With a lb of meat I was able to stack it up high and have a big honker of a meat sandwhich. 100% will be back, it will be hard for me to try their bbq chicken or pork because the tri tip was so on point. Blows away overpriced dickeys bbq garbage. Staff very friendly. Happy to have good bbq in the area read more

On our way back LA area, stopped for a bite to ear. Tri-Tip Sandwich was amazing!! The tri-tip was juicy, tender and and perfect taste of goood bbq. The role itself was soft and tasted fresh, not stale, hard or soggy like other places. Also added an order of tator tots and they were the best Ive had since my childhood. They were seasoned perfectly and very crispy. The place was very nicely decorated, cleand and staff was very courteous. Its a bit deceiving from the outside. I had my first CV BBQ sandwich today! Pulled Pork, and it was wonderful!! Huge portion of juicy Tender pork. No BBQ sauce in the meat, it's added on top. Your choice of sauces. The 2oz soufflé cups had a drop of BBQ sauce in them. I needed/Wanted much more for my liking. My potato salad was Not Cold. Maybe it was just made. I put it in the fridge & will have it w my second half of sandwich tomm. It's pricy, but for a special occasion well worth it. They have short hours during virus restrictions, so call & chk. My friend got the tri tip sandwich w Mac n cheese & loved the tender, flavorful meat. He also needed more sauce. read more

We stopped on our way home. We have 4 different items and they were all delicious. I had the Tritip and BBQ chicken with beans and potato salad. The Tritip was lean and full of flavor. The BBQ chicken was moist and very tasty. The beans were sweet And the potato salad was fresh. Except for Covid it has plenty of space to sit and eat. It's a little out of the way but worth the effort. read more

BBQ was good. Ordered on the phone and the food was ready when I arrived. I ordered the pulled pork, Tri tip, and bbq chicken sandwiches to split. The pulled pork was hands down the best, the tri tip was second best and I wouldn't order the chicken again. Good smoke flavor and the bbq sauce was great. Ordered a Tri-tip sandwich. At least 1/4 of my sandwich had fat running though it. There was not enough meat to overlook all the fat I had to remove from my sandwich. My husband loves ribs when we go somewhere for BBQ. They did not sell ribs. It was disappointing. Probably won't be back there. They were doing a lot of take out. Somebody likes it. read more

Finally got to taste the CV Barbecue RIBS after missing out (they ran out at the BBQ Festival last year) and I have wanted to try them ever since then. I am NOT disappointed! They are GOOOOD! I ordered a full rack and some of their awesome beans and some potato salad and I still have enough left for another meal. The only negative thing for me is that they don't have the ribs all the time. It took me months calling to see if they had them and finally I saw them on Facebook and Instagram this morning and I was able to order them ahead of time for pick up. Been wanting to try this place for some time and I finally got to go. The place had a simple setup. Customer service was spectacular. Ordered the 3 meat combo with tri-tip, sausage, and pulled pork. Really enjoyed all of it. There isn't many bbq spots out here but I will say this one is the best I've tried out in the Coachella Valley. Definitely recommend checking it out and will definitely go back. read more

CV BBQ's owner, Sean Smith, is no stranger to bbq and to a customer service background. Growing up on the central coast, Sean learned and crafted his bbq skills and techniques at an early age. Living in the Santa Barbara area Sean was introduced to the local areas choice cuts, seasoning and spices while continuing to educate himself with a hospitality customer service background. Sean has now landed in the Coachella Valley where he has brought those techniques, flavors and selections to create a new bold, fun and exciting brand known as CV BBQ.

And I've eaten & sampled my fair share. When I expressed I'm from LA and would drive all the way to Compton for the OG Bludso's BBQ & Brisket and Ribs with my BF, Auntie V's face lit up and says "I know it very well...and Darly is from Compton." When I told Uncle D, he expressed he knows Kevin Bludso personally...so I already knew I was in for a major brisket treat. After devouring my Sando in record time -- though I slowed down towards the end -- because I did not want it to end. I told my wife "I could eat 2 more of these." And speaking of which -- wifey's not too keen on BBQ like her hubby but can appreciate a great piece of quality meat. She took one bite (right smack in the middle -- which I suggested because it's the best bite :) and her response? "Oh my god...I could eat one of these." I've never heard her say that about BBQ Brisket. What makes Uncle D's Brisket so special? It's smoked & cooked overnight in a smoke-pit ~~ seasoned to perfection ~~ not fatty nor salty one bit...and don't get me started on the BBQ sauce that's not too thick & not too thin ~~ not too sweet & not too tangy ~~ it's simply perfection. Then we fist-bumped because he was wearing gloves but that Sando was so frickin' great I wanted to hug that cool bearded BBQ Master. Wifey had some of their Mac & Cheese and thought the noodles were cooked perfectly, it wasn't too cheesy & oily...and loved that it wasn't too salty. I took a bite and 2nd her notion. I got the Dardie's Veggie pizza for take out last night. Although I was grateful for the veggie overload, it kinda felt like I was biting into a piece of bread with a mountain of salad on top. I truly wish the pizza had more cheese. I'm not sure if all their pizzas are made this way but it definitely didn't have enough cheese. Maybe I would enjoy a different pizza more but I was disappointed. Service was fine, no issues there.
