I don't know why they would call this a 24 hour pharmacy when they do not fill prescriptions 24 hours a day... I came in at 1:30am from an ER visit down the street. I was told they were out on lunch break and my prescription might not be filled till 4 AM. I remained in the parking lot until 6am and nothing. I then went home and didn't get a text till after 9 AM that my prescription was ready. By that time, I was already in excruciating pain and bleeding excessively. Whoever was working, the pharmacy was unprofessional and dismissive. I strongly do not recommend this pharmacy. If you do need a 24 hour one I suggest Monterey Park on Atlantic. They would've had my prescription ready as soon as I drove out of the ER parking lot. read more

They don't even deny it or act like it's a problem on their end. They somehow lost my confirmation number for my prescription TWICE and I had to redue tests because THEY WERE LATE AND MISSED THE DEADLINE. The manager went to lunch didn't say a word to us not even a "they'll be right with you" nothing. This place is a joke and so unorganized. How are they still in business??? 3.5-4 stars Due to our local CVS not having any of my family member's (very necessary) medication in stock, we had to drive all the way to Downey as this was the only location nearby with the medication in-stock, let alone a 3-month supply. We had to transfer the medication to this location first and after speaking to the pharmacist to ensure that the correct medication would be prepared, we scheduled to come over the weekend. The parking lot is quite huge and one can find parking wherever your heart desires. This CVS location is pretty spacious, but we didn't shop in the store. We just went directly to the pharmacy, picked up the medication, and left. Pretty quick and painless as there was no one else waiting in line, surprising for a Saturday morning. There are no public restrooms, during COVID-19, so keep that in mind if you have to drive a bit to get here. read more

This review is about the night time pharmacist Sean/Shawn or however you spell his name. I would definitely give no stars if I could. And I've already called 1800SHOPCVS to make a formal complaint for store 8867, but because I am a yelper; I had to write a review. I want to start off by saying this guy is so unprofessional on so many aspects of the spectrum. He horribly represents the company of CVS terribly and this is coming from someone who supports the company wholeheartedly as two of my immediate family members works for the company. Last night my mom had an emergency surgery last night and my doctor did us a favor by trying to expedite the process by searching for a 24 hour CVS pharmacy and placing a verbal order (verbal prescription) over the phone. While the Sean/Shawn was asking for the patients information, my doctor was retrieving it from us to give to him. (Yes I know I would be a little annoyed if the person I'm talking to was talking to someone else, however; he was getting the info to give to him) The pharmacist begins to question my doctor, "ARE YOU EVEN A DOCTOR?!" Not once, but four times during this phone call! How unprofessional!! My doctor goes on without any push back and gives the prescriptions and the pharmacist asks, "what's the sig?" I'm not sure if my doctor forgot or isn't used to hearing it referred as that way, but he was asking for the directions given for that medication. Sean/Shawn got upset that my doctor didn't understand and started saying stuff "ARE YOU EVEN A DOCTOR?! HOW ARE YOU A DOCTOR AND DONT KNOW WHAT SIG IS? HOW HAVE YOU NEVER BEEN ASKED LIKE THAT BEFORE?" VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.. Just to make it a point, it is so hard to get a doctor on the phone to do a verbal order and to get one willing to do one for his patient, you'd think the pharmacist would be a little more helpful and understanding. Once I got to the pharmacy to pick up the medication. I ended up waiting another 40 minutes when they said 20. I sat right in front of the pharmacy and waited. Watched as another patient drop off their prescription and pick it up before me. They didn't even run my prescriptions under my insurance and didn't even ask me. They just assumed I would pay the whole full price. Didn't even offer to look for a discount, but I have insurance. I was literally sitting there waiting, they could of called me over and asked me. To top it all off, I still heard the pharmacist talking horribly about my doctor and what happened during the phone call with the rest of the pharmacy staff. I honestly just can't believe the type of unprofessionalism i experiences from this pharmacist. read more

This location has been around for a long time and it's been remodeled too. Nevertheless, I always walk into this store and have trouble finding what I need. Albeit, similar items are grouped together, they have moved things around a couple of times. For example, edible items have been moved from the left side of the store to the right. This shows that I've been coming here for quite some time (but only because it's conveniently located along my route to work). Customer service at this location is hit and miss! Sometimes you are greeted with a warm smile and a simple, "Good morning." Other times, a grouchy person who didn't want to wake up early to come to work will just stare or glare at you. One of the most surprising things that I noticed was a display in which little thought was put into it. Basically, I noticed several Peanuts (Snoopy) plush toys placed on the ground. I am an avid Peanuts fan as much as I love Disney but located just behind good ol' Snoopy and friends was a large supply of beer. I do not have children but I looked at it from a different perspective. How does a parent avert their child's attention away from plush toys before they ask about the booze behind it? I posted a photo so you can see this is in all of its glory! The one thing that I will praise good ol' CVS for is their pharmacy! I tried to fill my prescription through my medical provider and it was out of stock! Therefore CVS called my pharmacist and transferred the prescription over to them and they filled it for me. Their pharmacists go above and beyond for their customers! So the store itself with its odd displays and so so customer service receives two stars from me. I've come to this CVS multiple times, I think the employees are normally doing their best. Today I went though and I needed to write a review because hopefully one of them will read it and implement a new structure when the lines are long. There was a person who left being charged and I walked over to the lady at the register. She said she "couldn't" charge me because he needed to go get an item. I told her that maybe she could cancel out his order and recharge the candy and two eye drops he was going to purchase lol! She said no, so I went back in line. Someone charged me eventually a minute or two after. But she called someone after me. POINT BEING YOU COULD CANCEL HIS CHARGE. Bad customer service, and she lies. This one star is just because the store happened to be staffed. It was about four people working from what I saw without counting the security guard. Aside from ringing people up and walking over to open things for customers that were dinging for their needs. Staff was nothing above average. The review is based on your printing system. Spent 45 minutes plus trying to print something out to add the end of the day not be able to get what I need because the system was not working or uploading as fast as it should. The whole time I spent on the machine was close to 30 minutes. Nobody offered to see how they can help. They instead continued with their side conversations while they waited for customers or dings. The only answer I kept getting was once the screen populates the order we will print for you and it can take up to an hour. That's ridiculous, signs should be up if the service isn't working or takes a certain amount of time to populate. And for the lady that was assisting me, my apologies if I came off as rude or intimidating, it was never my intention, but with the situation at hand similar to this, the attitude should be more welcoming, and willing to help not just stand there and make a face at me like you do not know what is going on, there's a reason why you work here, to assist and be knowledgeable, please get better. I'm still confused as to why two employees kept looking in the finished order envelopes box when I clearly stated the job was input minutes before and the receipt also had a time stamp, very smart on their behalf. Love that all staff is wearing gloves and masks. They use sanitizer in all machines and are keeping safe during covid. CVS OPTICAL is the best. All staff is friendly and helpful. All the machines they use are updated with the latest technology. Melissa the office manager is a great help when having any questions. Compare to many other CVS I've gone to, this one is good..dont get me wrong ..lots and I mean lots of items are over priced compare to their leading competitors..yes some things are o. Sale price but it's mainly things you dont need or even went there to get. The pharmacy is good..yes sometimes takes a while but that's normal ...the drive thru is good and very convenient..parking outside is ok.. the location is ok..24 hours open has been very convenient for me many times and I've gotten what I need no matter how early it how late it is. 4 stars overall.. My advice..dont bother going to the one on Firestone..its small..smelly and you can't never find what you're looking for ..then again this CVS needs a tip from Economics 101 Supply and Demand ..because they just dont catch on to what's selling and restocking on time ..I guess they need more floor people read more

I stood in line over 10 minutes to drop off a prescription while they helped the pick up line until it died down, no one came to help drop offs until the other Line was gone. All the CVS's have an extremely slow line but this place ranks the highest in the slowest line ever. Everything here is outdated. The computer are SLOW and the employees are very slow. They really need to install self check out machines here so speed up the long line. I've waited in line for 20+ mins when there were 4-5 cashiers. I don't understand why my grandmother wasn't given the option for them to transfer the prescription to another CVS. Also my visit yesterday was so painful. When it was our turn, technician was very nice. Recommended to use the drive thru. We came the next day, used the drive through, took just as long for two cars. Blah. Why is this CVS full of employees with attitude. Came in to quickly scope out the toilet paper way in the back since I was in the area anyway. I check every once in a while during this pandemic since I hate driving to Walmart, it's too packed. Anyway, I asked the front register girl if they had any of the hard to find lysol or clorox wipes behind the counter, she looked at me like I insulted her and shook her head no. This is just one example of why I prefer the CVS on Firestone and Paramount instead of this one, but again, I was already in this area running errands. With this whole Covid-19 thing I try to run all my errands in one day maybe twice a month. Last month I did go to the CVS on Firestone and Paramount. When I asked that manager with the long black hair behind the register if she had clorox wipes left she happily told me yes and asked if I wanted 2 from the case behind her.
