The young cashier didn't automatically print a receipt and then printed a copy. I want my coupons. Copies don't give coupons. This is the only location, I have this problem with. They present well better than El Cajon but El Cajon automatically prints a receipt. I don't want a copy, I want my original receipt. Are you hoarding paper? Why are you not printing receipts. Corporate says they should do it for every customer unless the email option is chosen. I don't choise the email option so why are you doing this? Corporate apologize but it happens often. Heads Up! For all the former Rite Aide customers watch the due dates on your prescription bottles. The pharmacy and pharmacist are notorious for filling prescription late. It's most difficult when the customer is on scheduled medication. I watched them do this for at least two new customers. They used the "laws" to short these customers on their medication. CVS- you can do better. read more

Literally the worst customer service. But I don't expect much when I go into a CVS. I actually want to be left alone if anything. I was checking out with my coupons at the self checkout and the register died. I had to go wait in line to be helped. Which wasn't a big deal. My total at the self checkout was 21.65, she told me she would make it the same. When I got to the check out she told me my coupons didn't apply the same even though I had just done it the same at the self checkout. So I said no problem I will just go to the checkout again, now of course my coupons were gone. So instead of dealing with her again because she was saying "see I told you it wouldn't work" when she had no intention of helping me to begin with. Got a scam call from CVS specialty pharmacy. I went in to ask for the real number for CVS specialty pharmacy. I also asked if it is normal to "order medication" over the phone with them and if CVS would ever ask me for certain information over the phone. The person was extremely dismissive and since it was a different pharmacy she didn't know. I wanted to know if in general CVS pharmacy (the pharmacy she is currently working at) would ask you those things over the phone, not just CVS specialty. She walked away from talking to me before the conversation was even over. I should've changed pharmacies from this one a long time ago. read more

I had a negative experience at the CVS drive-thru pharmacy in Alpine, California. They gave me a hard time with a prescription a Scripps physician had submitted. After an hour and calling the doctor back and forth, the doctor called the pharmacy. The doctor was upset with CVS pharmacy because they obviously weren't doing their job. After 80 minutes dealing with the incompetent CVS pharmacy staff, I got the medication, thanks to my doctor calling them. If you like being on hold for 45 minutes . And still no one answers your questions . So you drive to the store which takes another 30 minutes and your still on hold . And ask the drive thru lady if the perception your doctor called in 5 days ago is ready . And she explains that it is going to take a hour before she can fill it ! I've always received THE BEST customer service here from all of the clerks, but especially Tina & Kevin who always greet with a smile and "how are you doing today". I like that ! They go out of their way to help you, ask if they can help me find something & remind me of my coupons etc. I like seeing familiar, friendly faces. The store is very clean and very well organized. Worst pharmacy ever. Waited on hold for over 20 minutes so I drove down while I was on hold. Needed a preauthorization for some medication so decided to pay out of pocket, I'm still waiting for it to be filled 3 hours later. The Hours on website are wrong. They ALWAYS double or even TRIPLE fill my prescriptions and charge my insurance (& never say a word). They are Constantly changing staff, never knowledgeable and slightly condescending when you're in need of Medical knowledge or help. After today I'll be permanently relocating. read more

I have been coming here for my pharmacy needs for at least four years now. Almost everytime I come to have a prescription filled I have to wait for long periods of time. If there is a vehicle in front of me in the drive through, I will just leave and come back some other time because those are a minimum of 15 minutes in line per car. The last time I was there to pick up my medication (that I dropped off the day before) it wasn't ready and would be another ten minutes to wait. I have been here as long as I have because it is conveniently on my way home from work. The staff is not very friendly and they give you the feeling that you are bothering them when you come up to the counter. It may be time to find a new pharmacy for my medication. read more

I used to go to another pharmacy and had to come here when they stopped accepting my insurance. It's quite a pain to get prescriptions filled. Also they've made more than one quantity error in filling my written prescriptions (maybe they can't read my doctor's chicken scratch? I don't know.) The biggest problem here is that this CVS is seriously understaffed - you can tell they are working as hard as they can, but the turnaround time on prescriptions is SLOW and you often have to wait in line to pick-up prescriptions because there's only one person working the counter. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. Each time I call to speak with a pharmacy employee I wait on hold for 15-30 minutes. After reaching the pharmacy I am asked to hold again without the option to respond. I have called the corporate headquarters twice to voice my concerns. The person I spoke with assured me the employees would be advised of my concerns. The first time, my service was better for 1-2 days only. I feel the pharmacy is very understaffed and/or poorly trained. I would never recommend this pharmacy to anyone! read more

I was disgusted when I saw the pharmacist use the cash register, handle cash, without washing his hands went and poured someone's pills into his bare hand without washing his hands nor wearing gloves. This was my favorite store in Alpine for quite a few years, but recently things seem to be slipping...I went in to do my normal pick up a few things shopping and was met with a stalker inside the store...I noticed him immediately upon entry and made sure I kept him at length, but the more I moved around the store, the more he shadowed me...Popping up around corners and coming down aisles, I expected his behavior to draw attention but it did not...at one point I thought he might be an outside vendor, but I was proven wrong...I tried to hurry and was at the checkstand when he came up behind me and asked the only employee I saw the entire time where the restroom was...I asked her if he worked there and she said "no" so I told her to get a manager on him immediately...Her calls produced no manager, the stalker was in the back of the store, and I got out the front as fast as I could smh Apparently CVS doesn't give a s&%t about customers OR employee safety, there are better stores without stalkers... read more

WORST Service I've ever encountered. I was on hold for over 10 mins, when I was finally able to speak to someone they were very short with me. I was asking for a transfer prescription from another location, his words were "I'll try to reach them"... okay... 'what time do you close?' I asked, "9". I was in the middle of asking him how he would contact me to confirm and he HUNG UP ON ME. What do I do now? You didn't ask me for anything other then my name and I'd like to be reached at a different number. Despicable, rude, and slow service. I could not believe my ears when he started chastising a customer and yelling at him, shouted out his prescription for everyone to hear which is a blatant HIPPA violation. Wow!!! Woman just posted how horrific these people are. Tried to give her 5 yr old son heart medication that belonged to a 71 yr old man.
