Always a frustrating experience at this particular Cvs. Very often long lines at the register up front (even during the middle of the day mid week), despite having multiple employees working up front. The self-checkout lines are often either closed or not working correctly. Items listed in stock online are not available in store, and when you let employees know that, they couldn't care less. The response I have gotten is "Yeah, we know." Uhh, maybe fix that then??? Front street entrance has been closed for months, so you have to walk around to the back of the store and enter through the parking lot entrance. Seems poorly managed. read more

An excellent CVS - pharmacists are super professional, the aisles are usually very clean. Also well-stocked. Not sure why they removed the self-checkout stations; seems like they now have a lot of registers requiring live workers but not so many workers are hired to man them. The CVS located at 264 Trapelo Road Belmont has to be the worst managed store of the chain!! There is no manager listed on the front door and the pharmacy is a total disgrace‍ My surgeon called in a prescription last Friday and I went to pick it up on this past Sunday and was told it wasn't ready but would be in 15 minutes. I was not able to wait so I left. When my wife followed up on Monday with a phone call she was told they had to order the script and would be ready in another day‍ So the person waiting on me lied when in fact the actual medicine was not on site‍ The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Group Insurance Commission is transferring all retiree scripts to CVS effective July 1, 2023 and I feel very bad for the angst that these retirees will suffer if this chain can't get their act together in a big way! This experience is exactly why people like me go to a locally owned small pharmacy! read more

I used to live nearby: it's okay for the occasional item you need at a regular CVS. This review is specific on the photo service: You can get passport pictures taken here but you'd probably get a better result with your phone by yourself. The (several) extra dollars for the associate to take your picture are wasted as he has no idea on how to take a headshot on top of not knowing what customer service means. read more

The pharmacist lied to me and said they needed a phone number to call me when my prescriptions were filled. I asked if it was for anything else? Of course it was for spam calls. When I complained, they refused to take my number out of their system and handed me a list of instructions to follow to get it out of their spam servers. It's only been a week and I am getting calls. Shame on them. I spent an hour on hold with corporate asking to get my number off, didn't get it done. Called the pharmacy manager and she didn't give a care at all, it's just how they use people. I know writing a review about your local drugstore is pretty lame, but I have to admit the crew at the pharmacy are very patient. I've seen some of most ignorant people trying to cause issues with the pharmacy staff, and they never talk back. There's a pretty huge Armenian dude who works with the pharmacy group; I'm not sure what restraint it would take not to wail on some Soccer Mom demanding to know why her lamisil's co-pay went up by 5 bucks. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. This is literally the WORST CVS pharmacy around. Terrible service, disorganized (have lost very important Rxs) and the waiting is unreal. Terrible pharmacy service. The lines for pick up and drop off are just terrible. I think they want to spread more disease by having everyone coughing and see nixing in a long line. Yesterday was the worst 18 minutes in one line to find out 2 if my scripts that were called in by my doctor were not there and no the pharm tech who was checking me out dip could not check on that I need to go wait in yet another long line at drop off, sorry the pharmacist says they haven't been called in yet, I drive home 5 minutes phone is ringing automated call my scripts are ready, what they didn't even have a record of them 5 minutes ago now there ready, desperately seeking new pharmacy where they actually care about the patients they serve, and cvs you are making plenty of cash at this location and staffing has been an issue for years why not solve the problem an hire adequate staffing.m read more

The worst - we are trying to find another pharmacy close to our home but have had no luck. We hate this place. Just one of the many stories for you - my husband and I both had minor surgery - nothing too much but needed some pain meds. We dropped off our scripts and were told it would be hours, of course, so we went to dinner and said we would return. We did and were in pain at that point as the anesthetic was wearing off. They said of the system went down so couldn't fill it. Sorry. That was it. And they handed the scripts back to me. No call, no nothing. It was 10 of 10PM and we flew to Osco to have them fill our scripts but because CVS had already entered my script into their system and it went down Osco couldn't fill it. Thank you CVS for a pain filled night. This place is the worst! The attitudes, ineptness and rudeness is rampant. read more

In a very convenient location with a variety of items if you suddenly ran out of something. The only thing that I do not like about this CVS ( i dont know if it is the case in other stores too) is that they're cutting down on staff. In a period of three months, I went to the store a couple of times, I only found 1 staff member and they were asking all the customers to use the new installed self service counters. Maybe I was going to the store when everyone was having a break... Personally, I do not like the idea that large companies cut down on individuals and humans to install machines. I believe CVS make enough profit to hire individuals, rather than relying on machines for additional profit. read more

As everyone else has pointed out, this is not your typical CVS pharmacy experience. This is much worse. I come in during off hours and it still takes 20 mins min just to drop off my script. This is with no line! Just imagine pick up!!! They really need to figure out how to move through customers quicker. All other cvs pharmacies have been fine. read more

Every body complain from the workers there, nothing in the stock, every time my wife send me to get something i don't find nothing the vitamins I need the box of diaper never never in the stock plus more and more . One of my favorite cvs stores. It's got everything you need--a pharmacy, a photo lab, etc. I LOVE IT

The pharmacy staff is nice but have gotten medications incorrect many times. Scary, especially a child's medication.

I live withing walking distance of this one and wish to hell there was a different, convenient option. But that's another story. The place is constantly out of stock on simple things like stomach pills (e.g. prilosec). I have been in there sometimes once a week for weeks in a row, no luck. As noted elsewhere, the line in the pharmacy after work hours is enormous and service is totally inefficient. A few of the people are okay, but the guys who are in the their 20's are useless, have no personality and move like they are being led to the gallows. I understand that there is usually a crush of people, but they do not hustle at all. Lastly, there is one guy ...i think he still works there...that once openly made faces at my girlfriend after she asked a question about finding something that should have been easy to just point and find. I was watching from afar. He's about 50-55 and would have been fired in any other store on the spot. I am sure he's done this before because whatever my girlfriend asked was not done in an imposing way. Maybe she was a bit frustrated because the stupid coupon printer was out of order (as is common there), but it was uncalled for. I write this because I am just about to go there and am looking forward to yet another fun experience. But wait, maybe a Sunday morning with no foot traffic in the store will yield a fun shopping experience??? read more

My experiences differ from most of the others who've left reviews panning this CVS. The pharmacy is no busier than any other local CVS I've visited -- it all depends on the time of day you're there, and the expectations you set. I've had tricky prescriptions filled there, and when things don't go as expected, they've worked with me to figure out what the problem was, and took the steps needed to fix the problem. If I needed something explained to me, they've patiently fielded my questions until I had a clear answer. At no time have any of the staff been anything other than friendly and accommodating. As for the store in general, the layout could be improved, but there's always someone on the floor who can point me in the right direction if I can't find a product. As far as CVS's go, this one's fine. (Also, my jokey acronym answer is that CVS stands for "Constant Valium Supply".) read more

I live in Watertown, but go to Belmont because of their outstanding service!~ They have the nicest group of employees in every department, not to mention how quick & efficient the pharmacy is~ The parking is wonderful... Honestly, I can't imagine anyone saying anything negative~ I only know one young girls name SAMANTHA. What a doll & what a memory! I made two phone calls to her & when I came in, she said oh; are you Miss so & so? I was floored~ I don't know any other names, but they are all kind & clearly like their job~ Don't even get me started about CVS in WATERTOWN!~ Very disappointing. So rude. Since this is the closest pharmacy to my home, I use it. Normally I use Express Scripts. But for prescriptions I need right away, this is my go-to pharmacy. Until now. The personnel in the pharmacy might as well be automatons. They lack empathy and have no sensitivity to customer service. It's "hey, what you get is what you get"- period. Sorry. I exaggerate. There's no sorry. It's just that's the way it is... tough sh*t. I dealt with pharmacist, Jennifer Wu Mui. She might have been an automaton. No emotion. No sense of caring. No nothing. At least if CVS used robots, it would make sense. But she was a living, breathing, human being. Uncaring, bland, emotionless, and all business. Hey, call me old fashioned. This is no way to run a business. I'm going to do what many Belmont citizens are doing. I'll try my luck with a personal relationship with the privately owned Belmont Pharmacy. I have been a loyal customer at this CVS for nearly two years. I have have been generally very happy with the store, and have had few problems with the Pharmacy until recently. The blonde lady pharmacist they have there is very cold and unhelpful. Today I learned that the prescription that I brought in for a three month supply of my medication was never entered into the system, and now I have to get the prescription renewed again. They only gave me two pills to tide me over and it is three days before Christmas! I am no longer a loyal customer with this pharmacy and will be taking my business to Walgreens. read more

The pharmacy. Here I am, waiting at the pharmacy. I will have plenty of time to write this review. I am waiting in line for the third time, just as I do every time I come here. The first time is at the "pick up" window. When I get through that line, they tell me that they've either canceled the prescription or they give me a price of $500 for what should be $7. This is because they lose my insurance every time. The second line is to the "drop off" window, to which I am sent to give them, yet again, my insurance info. They tell me it doesn't work. I tell them to try again. They do, and it works. Then I go back to the line for the "pick up" window. After a delightful 45 minutes, I receive my prescription for $7 and proceed on my merry way. read more

Went to this cvs at 9:57 pm and I was was walking towards the doors the worker there locked them. I proceeded to pull on the handle and knock multiple times trying to explain to this man that I just wants a cooler beverage and would be in and out in a minute tops. I waited there pleading my case while the worker stood on the opposite side of the door looking at his phone until it was 10:00. He then tried talking to me from about 10 ft away from the door and I could not hear a word he said. He then walked to the door and checked his phone and showed it to me and it said 10:00. I proceeded to tell him that I watched him lock the door at 9:57 and he simply walked away from me. This is a terrible way to run a business. You do not walk away from or turn customers down. I am extremely disappointed in this establishment and will not be going to this CVS nor any other. read more

Every time I've been to this CVS something didn't work. I've waited in long lines, only to get to the register and find that their computers weren't working so I could not use my phone to get a $5 coupon. I've had prescriptions messed up. They seem very disorganized. read more

I'm mystified at the terrible slams of this CVS location. My only beef is that it can be a long line at the pharmacy, but I'm not even sure that's their fault. It seems everyone who gets prescriptions needs to talk nonstop about them with whoever is taking their payment. At least some of these ought to be discussions held at the almost always empty Consultation counter. Otherwise I find the staff fine, the location is great and the selection/availability of other items I shop for is fine. read more

They used to have self-service registers, but took them all out and replaced them with umpteen full service registers but seem to have cut staff - so the lines are always long with only 1 or 2 staff on hand. Why no self-service?? It's a big store with convenient parking, but seems to be badly managed. Staff has always been nice. read more

The pharmacy department seems to be woefully understaffed. Last week, I had to have an operation on a broken bone in my foot. After the surgery, I was given a prescription for a painkiller. This was the most convenient CVS on the way home. I waited in the car while my friend went in. She emerged a while later, said that the line was very long and that it would take 20 minutes. (She had explained that I had just had surgery and was supposed to be icing my elevated leg.) She went back in about a half and hour later, stood in a long line again and was told again that it would be 20 minutes. The third time she went in, when they were about to tell her that it would be 20 minutes, she call over to the pharmacist and demanded that she fill the prescription. I sat in parking lot with my foot propped on the dashboard and without ice for at least an hour. I have never had anything like this happen at the CVS in Bedford. read more
