That said, during my most recent visit, I had a completely different experience that truly stood out. I was searching for a specific item and couldn't find it, so I asked an employee who was in the middle of stocking shelves for help. Instead of just pointing me in the right direction, she walked me over to the exact spot and showed me the product herself. She went even further by offering helpful advice, sharing that a family member had used the pre-surgical cleanser and accidentally ruined a washcloth, so she recommended using an older one. It was such a thoughtful and genuine moment of care, and I really appreciated her going the extra mile. I made sure to check her name badge so I could recognize her here. Her name was Nicole. I'm hopeful that more of the team can take a page from Nicole's approach. That level of attentiveness and kindness truly makes a difference in the customer experience.

I called back and now10 minutes, there are once again 2 customers ahead of me. And the computer lady keeps saying she is sorry to keep me waiting! The store is under staffed. You walk in there and can't find anyone except in the pharmacy. There are still 2 callers ahead of me. He approached my vehicle without making eye contact or offering a greeting and only mumbled a request for my barcode. After loading my groceries, he did tell me to have a good day, which I appreciated. I understand that working outside in the heat is challenging, and I genuinely want to extend grace. At the same time, I believe basic customer service goes a long way. A simple greeting, eye contact, and a friendly interaction can make customers feel acknowledged and valued.
