I was somewhat satisfied with the car wash. However, my car wasn't as clean as I would've liked it to have been. The good thing was that my car didn't get scratched by brushes. I believe that they need to make the car wash go longer. I also went to this particular station because I needed to use the restroom. I went into the store, and the friendly cashier gave me the key to the outside bathroom. I walked out to the bathroom, and when I grabbed the door knob, the door opened without using the key. I was feeling a little anxious about someone opening the door while I was using the toilet, but that didn't happen. The person before me probably didn't close the door completely when they left the toilet. The convenience store was huge with lots of items to buy. Outside, there is air for your tires, and you can vacuum your car for a handful of quarters. I was impressed that they had buckets with water and windshield squeegees--I haven't seen very many squeegees at gas stations lately.

The gas station was clean and easy to access, and the pumps worked fine. I did not have any…read moreproblems with the service, and the location is convenient. The main downside is the gas price, which felt pretty high compared to other stations in the area. It is okay if you need gas quickly or you are nearby, but I would probably check prices somewhere else first next time. Overall, not a bad station, just expensive.

I regret this - I truly do…read more This has been my neighborhood my entire life. I've been away due to getting married, but since I've moved home, I'm sad to say that the ownership of this 7-11 location has radically changed. It used to be a nice, clean neighborhood resource of goods that you could run to anytime when you were out of something, like milk, eggs, maybe even a pretty individual rose for my grandmother when I had an extra couple of dollars. Tho owner I remember would greet everyone and always smiled, like a neighbor does. It was always a busy store and items were affordable (actually all of daily life was then). I went there this morning to grab some milk. I had forgotten to get some yesterday and needed some quickly. When I pulled into the parking lot, it was completely empty. I've NEVER seen a 7-11 parking lot empty in the morning! I walked in and felt like I was in a totally different country. The place was empty except for one cashier and one sales rep (I think). They spoke in another language and didn't even say anything to acknowledge me - at all. It was uncomfortable and I just ignored it. I went through the entire store. No gallons of milk. Only little, over-priced pints and quarts that were older, but still within their dates. I had to interrupt the conversation just to ask about milk. It was not a comfortable thing to do. The man at the register said he had none, other than little ones. The cold cases were not clean and the stock had changed dramatically! The store was now filled with all types of alcohol and crap food - what was still in stock. The store is now perfect for anyone who wants to be a drunk, party, or drink into oblivion. There was all sorts of alcohol - hard liquor to junk beer, and half of it had foreign labels. I'm old school, okay? I have lived here in Monterey Bay for 50+ years. I find the life here deteriorating in a huge way and this seven-eleven is a perfect example of the lowering quality of life in Santa Cruz, California. Everything is dirty, over-priced, and crappy. Very few options are offered now, and no one wants to be a warm neighbor and member of the hood anymore, possibly due to the lack of ability to identify with one another and communicate well. Thanks gubrnr noosm! Great job ruining the most beautiful state on earth. And big ups to the commyz in local gumt. Anyone left here who has been here for the last 30+ years understands this. But we are no longer a community. I will never enter the doors of this store again. What a wake-up call. Sorry, I need to shop in a store that is clean, at minimum.

It's an awesome one stop shop. The employees are always great! Love chatting with them and having fun conversations. Lots of parking out front.

Something of an eclectic neighborhood convenience store…read more While there is always parking avaible, it's partly because this is a you go we tow lot. That means if you park here, do not go inside and/or leave your car for a few hours it won't be there when you get back. Consider yourself warned. I'm pretty much ok with that as well, there will always be a spot right up front when you visit. That's not something that you should assume will be possible in santa cruz. Inside there are a couple of tables, a bench overlooking the front lot/street and a small cozy not quite a garden spot in back. Even though this is a convenience they try hard to make it not feel like one. The seating winds up being cozier then you'd think. In addition to the shelves of overpriced dry goods (you know the drill. They have everything you forgot to bring, but it'll cost you.) they have their own prep kitchen which they use to make fresh deli things of varying degrees of tastiness. Basically if you get a sandwich or a burrito you find meh-that was prolly not one they prepared on site. Good selection of Marianne's ice cream treats(nutty bars, chocolate covered cheescake slices etc) all the it's it made (Pay attention. The mint and the green tea flavors look-but do not taste-identical) a decent wine selection, a solid craft beer aisle, and a daily rotation of thoroughly snackable items. While I wasn't any too impressed with the breakfast burrito(outsourced from a vendor), I do consider this a decent sammich/soup/chil/salad choice. Also a great choice for whatever you need for that grab and go food run. Pricing is whatever you want to spend. Ye olde hood snack of chips and a soda clocks in at less then five, but a couple sandwiches, soup, salad, bread and a bottle of wine can get you into the forty ish dollar range. Overall it's very much the decent choice if you are nearby.
