Idk why everyone thinks so lowly of CVS. I get my prescriptions here all the time and the people in pharmacy are helpful and the cashiers are always fast in the front. I made an appointment for my daughter to get her tb test. I believe it was the last available appointment available for that day, we kept seeing people walk by and ignore us. We didn't think much of it since we have to check in through the computer. After a couple of mins we notice no one was coming out. I went to the front to ask and they said they had already left?! I explained we had an appointment and they said they couldn't do much. As soon as we started driving home we got a text saying "sorry you missed your appointment?!" Never coming here again. Just learned about CVS's policy where they get rid of your medications after 14 days of not picking it up. I had to ask it be refilled and wait a while to get it again. This is after I called within the 14 days (on the 13th day) and told I'd come get it. They should've told me I had only 1 day. I'm switching pharmacies. read more

Bad customer service no one knows what the other is doing or what was said etc. they text you and order not completely full then insurance co has to call and then they don't make notes to fix the problem then have to wait and call again. There is a pharmacist there named Stella who comes off rude and unpleasant. I haven't gone to a pharmacy in a while and did not know the protocols. I wait behind the line and she says can I help you? I go to her and she tells me to go to the pick up line. My medicine is not ready so I wait and she calls me again and I go to her and she tells me to go back in line. Not very clear with instructions and has me running all over the place. Definitely the worst customer service. Safe to say I'll never come back here. read more

I've ran in here a few times to pick up something last minute and didn't want to deal with being tempted by everything at Target. Every time I come here, I feel depressed and wonder how this place is even still in business. The prices are always a few dollars more than Walmart and Target. This place makes me sad :[ For some reason when I walk in, the environment just puts me in a funk. I don't know exactly why that is, but it just is. Both the pharmacy and front of store cashiers always seem to be depressed or annoyed themselves. Never a grin on their faces, and when you walk up for help you can tell they're trying hard to force it. Forcing a smile on your face while you ring me up doesn't make you or me feel any better. Just saying. The prices are also not as cheap as you'd expect it to be. Price's are most of the time $1-2 more than Walgreens, Wal Mart, and even Target. If it's not an emergency and you can wait, definitely make your purchases at a different location. read more

Some of the people who work here are great, but there are not enough workers to provide good service. Also, I've seen cases where it is at night, and there is only one female working at the store. That is very unsafe, considering the level of shoplifting and other crimes being committed, today. CVS cares much more about profit, than the safety of their workers and customers. read more

I like this CVS. In fact im kinda of fan of them. The one by my house has a really pretty cute girl that works the pharmacy drug pick up counter. I always kinda feel better when I am sick cause I get to go get a prescripton. I signed up for a members rewards card and got a kick ass coupon for $10.00 off when I spend $25.00. Hey it's CVS.. You come in, get what you need & go.. haha. I get my hair stuff, toiletry etc from this CVS cuz it's close to my pad. The pharmacy is usually pretty quick. Turn-in your prescription, go read some magazine & it's ready. Can't beat that. Place isn't too busy.. I like it that way. I even picked-up a hoody on sale for $19.99 & it's awesome. Get your drinks here too. It's usually cheaper than next door Ralphs. Can't say anything negative but would not give 5 stars either.. Cuz, if I did that then, they will be perfect... haha. I don't know about all the other CVS... but this CVS on South Street, in Cerritos, has the most rudest employees. I'm a frequent customer, but the part I hate about this CVS in particular are it's employees. I hate shopping at this CVS, because at the end I have to ring up my items with these rude employees. And even if I complain to the manager, the manager is also very rude. So, my advice is to go to the CVS on Artesia Boulevard, in Artesia. In the CVS in Artesia, the employees there aren't rude, they just ring up your items, and don't give you a bad attitude. read more

A two-star average according to my Yelp colleagues seems appropriate. Poor customer service and very over-priced items. I tend to avoid CVS for everything except prescription medications. My mom and I always go to this CVS and it is well,okay but today was not a good experience. We go pay and the cashier Lillian was rude. And not just to us but everyone on front of us. She needs customer service training. My mom bought some items that were on sale and my mom asked 2× if she got it and the first time she said no an input the info again. The second time my mom asked again she said yes when we left my mom checked the receipt an no discount. We went back and My mom said i asked you to check twice and i didn't get the discount. She then goes to the isle to check comes back yelling I don't think you can mix and match but I'll honor it. First of all its the same brand different prices and usually the discount is applied to the cheaper item. She acted arrogant as if she was doing my mom a favor instead of Lillian just doing her job. I can't believe how inefficient this place is. I called this morning to refill a prescription. I was told that it would be ready in an hour. Around an hour ago, which is several hours after my morning call, my wife received a message that the prescription is currently ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I was told that it is still in progress and I would have to wait 15 minutes. I had timed my visit here to fit with some other errands that I am doing. It's beyond me why CVS would say that it's ready and leave a message from my wife when in fact it is not actually ready. Update: It's the next day, and I'm calling in to find out if the prescription is in fact ready, I've been on the phone for almost 15 minutes waiting for a live person. Wow. Just wow. Definitely plan not to use CVS for pharmacy or other purchases. I know my purchases are a drop in the bucket for CVS but I think CVS going out of business will be good for overall market efficiency and I'll try to do my part (however small) to make that happen. read more

The clerks at this CVS location (13303 East South St Cerritos) tried to charge me for one medicine for $15.xx money. I was told that this medicine is not covered by insurance. But there was no charge (or, copay) for many years for this medicine. While I raised my doubts, they showed me that I have paid the charge for this medicine in the past year. I said I might have not noticed that when they charged only a couple of dollars, especially when it was picked up along with other medicines and paid with combined charges. I went back and called the insurance company, and I was told that the medicine that CVS charged me is covered by insurance. Then I went to another CVS location to try, and got the medicine without any out of pocket payment. Then I went back to the original CVS store at Cerritos, the clerk changed their story and said I did not tell them I have the insurance. I said they have my insurance on their system (since the second CVS can see my insurance and do not charge me). Then clerks in the Cerritos CVS said they did not know, since it is the second insurance. They have both of my insurance on their system, but they just do not know. When I asked refund for the past 2 to 3 years of payments for this medicine. They said it is my mistake not telling them previously, and rudely refuse to do anything for their mistakes. read more

She said if I didn't like to hold to leave a message but she didn't say it nicely. She said it was flu season and she is super busy but the lady had enough time to yell at me. read more

This CVS Pharmacy Employees are very rude and I have been going here for the past 17 years I had an encounter yesterday with Erika very rude and put me on hold for a list 15 minutes, before some one pick up the phone. Just because I asked what was the medication for? I'm not sure if she was under lots of stress or what the situation was with her? and before that I had another encounter with one of the employees there too, where she was telling me that I had called in a prescription and I told her that I did not called it in it was my Doctor and she told me that it was me because she recognize my voice and I had giving her the wrong dosage. Came in for rx they said I had to talk to the pharmacist because they increased my dose but the pharmacist was at lunch and they didn't know for how long. I got a text yesterday saying that I had eight days to pick up my prescription until they returned it. I went in today to get it they had already returned it. If i can give -5 stars i will. This CVS has the most incompetent pharmacy employees ever. Twice they did me wrong. 1st time they told me my prescription will be ready in 20 mins but they made me wait almost 2 hours. Then the 2nd time, my doctor called it in for us so it should be ready in 30 mins. So 2 hours later we cane to pick up, at first they said they couldn't find our prescription, then a lady said "omg i forgot" who the f*** forgets to input a freaking prescription in the computer. If i was a patient with a serious medical condition, i would've been dead! So annoying and stupid. Either they need to hire more competent people or just plain shut down! Right now, one star is appropriate, but hey, I've dealt with them before to so they have some "stored credit" from a prior transaction. You would think that a pharmacy is in the business of taking Rx's (a prescription) and turning them into something theraputic, something tangible--like a pill, etc. Yes, there's that little in-between piece of dealing with the insurance companies, which must be "work" in and of itself...but let's not jump to conclusions yet. CVS: (Visit #1) No we don't have your Rx." Me: "Okay, I'll call the doctor's office, etc." Dr's. Ofc.: "We'll call CVS." CVS: (Visit #2) "No we don't have your Rx." Dr's. Ofc.: "Yes, they have your Rx. You may want to call them before you show up." Me: (thinking) "Should I have to? Okay, good idea anyway." CVS: (Phone Call) "No we don't have your Rx." So I went in to the pharmacy Tuesday afternoon around 4:45 pm to drop off a prescription for antibiotics. The pharmacy technician tells me the cost is around $227! I said, "Why?!? Are these generic?" She said yes. We've purchased antibiotics many times. The fees have never been this high! So I called the doctor and he talked to the technician on my cell phone. The female clerk then placed the phone down on the counter and walked away to speak to the pharmacist. (I think the name of the pharmacist is called Lynn.) After about 5 min., the pharmacist told me they "took care of the situation and the cost is now $15." She explained to me that the cost is different because they went with a "different manufacturer." I asked if she could explain it to the doctor who was on the phone but she gave me such a weird look. She acted like she didn't want to touch my cell phone. Then both the technician and pharmacist walked away and left me standing at the counter 'till I asked what was happening. They told me to wait for the prescription to be filled by walking around the store for 15 min but I told them I intended to return at a later time to pick up the drugs. Yes, they certainly are RUDE! Don't just walk away! No explanation or apology given. Also, how can the cost be so different?! It's quite a difference between $227 and $15! If I didn't complain, they would have charged me the larger amount! Poor service! read more

I can't stand the pharmacy here anymore. I'm moving all my meds to Walgreens down the street. EVERY time I go here (at least weekly, I have a lot of prescriptions), there is an issue. The fault is ALWAYS on the side of CVS. My doctors have had to fax them 3x and then CALL because they "aren't getting the fax". They have tried to fill prescriptions with the wrong doctors, which has resulted in longer wait times, going days without meds I need, etc. This latest (and last) incident....they didn't have the medication my doctor wrote the prescription for. So they substituted it (not with a generic.....with a completely different drug). Obviously, my insurance had an issue with it cause they were trying to fill it with a drug given only in nursing homes, which I am NOT in. So they wanted almost $400 for a similar, but not correct, med which normally costs me $10. I went to Walgreens and the pharmacist there called them to find out exactly what they did, and yeah, they messed up badly!!! Walgreens had the correct med. nice to know I won't be taking something I wasn't even prescribed!! I could go on and on and on. Suffice it to say, if I ever went in without a problem.....I would probably fall to my knees and shout "there IS a god! It's a miracle!". And no one there seems happy AT ALL!!! I've been going to this CVS for years. It's always been a pretty typical CVS store. But back in June I needed a last minute photo gift done because our family decided we would celebrate Father's Day a day early. I made a photo book and submitted the order online, for same day pickup, only to find when I placed the order online that the order was expected to be fulfilled by tomorrow morning, not tonight. I thought I'd just call to see if they might be able to get it done tonight, even though I didn't expect that they would because I had submitted the order pretty late in the day. To my surprise, the guy who answered the phone (one of the managers - I think his name was Freddy?) went out of his way to check if they got the order yet, then assured me that he would keep an eye out for it and that I'd get a notification when it was done. 20 MINUTES later, I get a personal call from that manager, telling me my order is ready to pick up! Not only that, but he did a beautiful job on it - the prints turned out with gorgeous colors and were vivid, not washed out like some other places that do photo books. These were printed on real photo paper. I've done lots of these photo books at different places over the years, and how well they come out often is dictated by who fills the order - some are more careful than others about making sure the prints come out nice. My father was so pleased with his gift. It meant so much to him. And when I was paying for it, it was Freddy who was the cashier as well - when I thanked him for going out of his way to get it done right away because it was a gift for my dad, he smiled and said, "yeah, I figured you needed it tonight - wouldn't have been much good to get it tomorrow!" I was so grateful that he cared enough to go out of his way to help make my father's celebration special... now that's customer service! I will now always get those photobooks from CVS, and big shout out to this CVS and Freddy in particular for being an amazing manager who cares about his customers. Even at 9pm, he had a smile for every customer in line (and there were actually quite a few). Thanks again! read more

MD called in Rx for prednisone x 2wks. I picked up my Rx yesterday and pharmacist instructed me to take all the pills until done. When I got home, I counted enough for only 1 wk. I called within an hour of coming home and spoke to Tricia. She automatically blamed it on the MD order and that the pharmacist can't change the order. I don't expect the pharmacist to change the order, I expect the pharmacist to catch a discrepancy or error and correct it before filling it and sending a patient home with the incorrect quantity. I asked to speak to the pharmacist listed on my bottle (Nimisha M Bhatt). Tricia told me that all pharmacist had left already (it was 4pm when I called.. LA county curfew was at 9pm) and that she will call MD to fix it the next day and that she will follow up with me. I called my MD at 1:30p today and they had NOT received a call from CVS nor did I receive a call back from Tricia nor any CVS Pharmacy employee. MD office called them to fix it. I later received multiple text messages from CVS that my prednisone Rx is too soon to fill and not available until 6/14 (which would be much later than I needed it) and another not available until 6/6. I am an RN myself and double check my meds. I think it's ridiculous that it got this far. I would have been ok with a pharmacist or pharmacy tech to say that they will get to the bottom of it, or will have the remaining pills available, and/or an apology of some sort. There was no apology from CVS, no follow up. This could have been totally missed by the average person and they would have not received the full Rx treatment. Absolutely, unprofessional!! read more

The worst service in this pharmacy ever! The employee named Gaby, very rude, when I dropped my prescription off on 11/5/19, she charged me more than I paid in Walmart pharmacy, I asked her to double check but she yelled at me" You check with your insurance company!!", I said I would transfer back my prescription back to Walmart, she said " OKAY!", I was really disappointed with their service, the reason I went to CVS pharmacy was because I got a flu shot in CVS pharmacy at Hacienda height and the pharmacist was very nice and asked if I wanted to join pharmacy reward program, so I decided to transfer my prescription to CVS near my house which is this one On South Street next to Ralph's, the employees in store are nice and I always shopped here for over counter medicine. How come the service in pharmacy was so bad? I read reviews after that day and I found most of reviews were complaints! I tried to reach their headquarter to send my comments but there is no contact info on CVS websites, I hope this review can be seen by their management and they can improve their service! read more

I didn't use to like CVS at all. My general preference is to give smaller businesses a chance. But my new health plan allowed for 90 day prescriptions at CVS. I must say, they do a really great job despite being really busy. I have no complaints. I called the pharmacy on a Tuesday evening and was on hold for 21 minutes waiting for someone to answer my phone call. I drove to the CVS still on the phone and on hold. When I walked into the CVS there was only one person in line. The pharmacist was standing next to the phone not helping any customers. So I stood in line for a couple of minutes and the pharmacist finally answered my phone call. I told her she could hang out because I was standing in front of her in line. When I told her how long I had been holding she said that she was also on hold waiting for something and that's why she would not get back to my phone call because she did not want to lose her place in line. I mentioned to her that if that would've been an elderly person on hold they may have hung up and not received what they needed and not have been able to drive in like I was to get the assistance.
