Pharmacy does not pick up the phone. They send you through an endless loop of buttons and transfers only to make you leave a message that doesn't get returned. If they don't have your prescription in stock, they don't call the doctor to see what can be substituted nor do they call nearby CVS pharmacies to see if they have the med. Nope they just send a text saying TOO BAD SO SAD. This place is a disgrace and it's no wonder it has 1.5 stars. read more

CVS #1279. Main St. Chatham Has a policy of dishonesty, or perhaps, policy of only retaining incompetent employees. This is my opinion, and it has cost me more than a $1000.00 I have read their "mistakes" may have possibly caused life threatening situations. My issue was simply the techs providing and charging me for the most expensive generic drug and insisting there was no other generic and claiming the manufacturer just must have raised the price. When I showed them the form/receipt with a lower price from a neighboring CVS, they just shrugged and said the manufacture must have raised the price. They seem to do this for a few dollars and also for several hundred dollars. I recommend taking your business to an honest firm with compassion and scruples. Make sure to check pricing and insurance coverage for the services you need at the MinuteClinic BEFORE you go. Apparently insurance companies no longer cover some basic tests, and conviniently, the Minute Clinic staff doesn't have the latest coverage info from the insurance companies. They will make you sign a generic form stating that you will cover any services not covered by your insurance, and then send you a ridiculous bill. Sure, their services price list is posted on their website, however, even if the Minute Clinic is 'in network" provider for your insurance, there is no information on what is covered. You will have to know IN ADVANCE what the nurse practitioner at the Minute Clinic will decide to test you for during your visit, so you can call your insurance - IN ADVANCE - to confirm coverage. And DO check before you go, or you will have to pay the RIDICULOUS bill. read more

Just went in for company health screening at the main ave location in Chatham NJ. They drew my blood twice and both times the cholesterol machine failed! So wasted an hour of my time and have two band-aids on my left hand. Now will have reschedule...preferably at another location as I don't trust the equipment (and maybe the people) at this location. Manager was extremely rude. Went in search of baby formula and shelves were filled with cards of many baby formulas that said take card to cashier to get formula- limit 3 per customer. Took 3 cards to cashier and they said oh we have no formula!!! I said why would you have all those cards there making it look like you are stocked with formula when actually you have ZERO baby formula??? I went in today looking for an assortment of products, but also a home COVID test. I keep myself safe; others safe, I'm vaccinated and test regularly. They were out, that wasn't a big deal. What WAS a big deal was the slew of people I heard and saw asking one after the other for tests, being told they were sold out. NO sign on the door, NO notices posted anywhere. This store is putting people at RISK by allowing people into the store, meandering around looking for the singular test they want because they may have possibly had exposure to this virus. The won't post a sign and probably won't because I'm sure they'd like a potential sale.. I won't be coming back. Stay away at all costs. Waited over an hour to see some 20 something yr old girl who thought she was a doctor who can't even diagnose bronchitis. She told me"we're trained like doctors". Yea..but you're NOT. Well, I just flew on a plane, does that make me a pilot?? Sent me home suffering after I told her last year I ended up in ER with an asthma attack from the same thing. Then they have the nerve to charge the "specialist" fee for your insurance co-pay, they specialize IN NOTHING but wasting time and pretending to be doctors in lab coats. Wait to see your REAL doctor. Would not recommend this pharmacy. During the time of covid, they do not require that customers wear face masks and do not enforce social distancing. I felt very unsafe at this location. Manager was very rude and does not care about the customers' well-being. This is on Sunday May 24, 2020, so I hope the higher ups can address this and the manager's rudeness. Will not be going back and will transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy. read more

Bad experience at the Minute Clinic. Signed in at the kiosk and was the only person in the waiting area. No one was ahead of me. I was waiting for about 20 minutes and then when the patient came out, the practitioner took someone else ahead of me that was AFTER me. I was so frustrated that I left after waiting for 40 minutes. read more

We basically live here. Minute Clinic is our go to faux urgent care. Pharmacy helpful and fast. Mostly they let my 4 yr old and I haunt aisles for hours without judgment. We have every cheap toy they sell. read more

I am outraged at the way I was treated at the CVS one stop clinic in Chatham, NJ on Feb 24. My 7 year old daughter was ill and needed to be tested for strep. I had first taken my daughter to the CVS one stop clinic in Livingston, NJ where I was advised that their computer was not working and that I should go the clinic in Chatham. After driving 20 minutes to get to the Chatham clinic, I was told by one of the nurse practitioners that she only had time to see the person ahead of me because she had plans and had to leave by 7:30 pm. The other nurse practitioner was with a patient, and when I then knocked on her door, she likewise told me that she only had time to see the patient she was with. I then complained to the store manager who then spoke to the second nurse practitioner who by then had finished seeing the patient before 7:30 pm. I was then told that because it was after 7:15 pm (though before 7:30), I had been locked out by the computer and she could not see my daughter. I then had to drive another 20 minutes to a non-CVS practice in East Hanover where I had to pay $150 for the same services that I should have received at the one stop clinic in Chatham, NJ. Before my visit to the Chatham one stop clinic, I had never heard of a medical practice turning away a patient because of the clock or because a professional on duty had plans. This is no way to treat a person arriving with a sick child, especially after they had driven 20 minutes after being sent there from another location. About a week later, I received a call from someone at CVS regarding my complaint. I am sorry to say the she had nothing to offer with regard to correcting the problem. She also reported to me that the nurse practitioners had called their manager after I left CVS and reported their own creative version of what happened, In their version, their rearranged the timeline of what happened to make it falsely appear that I had arrived at the store much later than I had. The also fabricated their own version of the story that made me look bad and flat out lied that one of the nurse practitioners would have seen my daughter had I not knocked on her door. This is the exact opposite of what happened. As I stated previously, I would not have had any response at all had I not knocked on her door. So, the nurse practitioners at the Chatham CVS are not only unprofessional, they'rs also liars. Worse yet, the woman who called me indicated that it was my word against theirs. I truly hate to give bad reviews but unfortunately I diagnose problems better than they do at least on a pediatric level. I do highly suggest trying somewhere else if you cant get in to see your regular pediatrician. You most likely will end up paying double since the first is incapable of helping. Opening hours on Sunday are advertised until 4:30 PM. I showed up at 4:00 PM, not 4:01, and was told by the nurse that the computer was turned off and she could not help me! I had 103 fever, and a medical professional at minute clinic turned me away because her computer was turned off, well within opening hours!!!!! What happened to treating patients by asking some questions and examining them? What about turning the computer back on, if you lack the skills to examine a sick patient. Minute clinic is so busy covering themselves against potential lawsuit that they forget that their main duty is to help the patient. This nurse lost her calling to help people when she became tied to a computer to perform a simple exam, and I hope she finds herself feeling as bad as I did, in front of a medical professional who refuses to provide medical treatment. I will never go back to that place and would certainly not recommend it. read more
