Where are there zero stars. My son is sick and was prescribed antibiotics. Doctor called it in. Got there at 8:55pm. They did receive it but because they were closing in a few minutes they said they would not fill it and instead would have to go to the National city location. Where is the compassion and understanding when people are sick and they have the medication to make one feel better. Will never ever return into a cvs after this experience, or at the very least this location. The National city one was understanding and recognized that yea, it should have been filled, especially for an anti biotic. read more

Honestly most CVS aren't that great. Going to one is like going to a retirement home. You basically only see old people in there so maybe that's why it smells like old people in there. But this one is one of the worst ones I've been too. The main problem here is the waiting in line. The line is almost always long when I come here & only 1 register open. And most the girls working are like there old customers, there in slow motion on the register. There nice but slow. What's more frustrating is when there's a long line & only 1 register open you can see other workers walking around or worst a manger just chilling near by behind the counter! And he won't even look at us (the line). And I think the slowness is contagious inside the CVS cuz the pharmacy girls are the same way! They tell me to come in 30 min I come back in 45 to give them time & I still got to wait 15 to 30 min more! This happens almost everytime. The DT is wack. They close at 9pm so I went in line once at 8:30 cuz it was raining & I had my baby with me (and it smells like old people inside ). I had 2 cars in front of me. I get to the window at 8:57 finally & they shut the window in my face with a sign saying there close! So I go inside & argue I was in line since 8:30! And I want my Vicodin! I had 2 root canals taken out. So they give it to me but they were being snobby bout it. Lesson learned don't keep a married man with children away from his Vicodin! Had to go recently to pick medicine up for a family member. Still awful. Went through the drive-thru, there for 45 minutes. I was in the all service lane along with 10 other cars! No signs, nothing. Finally, a CVS employee comes out to tell all who wasnt there for testing can move to the drop off lane. I was very upset, as again there were no signs or anything . Some had been waiting for over an hour! Very unprofessional, unorganized and cant even get names or prescriptions correct! Please spend time on training! read more

Just went in to get passport photos done and the lady that took the photos was not very nice. She was rushing to get our pictures taken and did not want to show pictures prior to see if we liked them or not. Photos are $14.99 and are very expensive. For the price the you pay, you would assume the service is better. I wish I had known sooner that Costco offers this service for less than $6. Bad service all together. Money is not worth it. Remember this, CVS, this photo is going to be on record for 10 years, have some common courtesy and be patient with your customers. read more

The pharmacy staff has the worst customer service ever. Very disorganized and staff is rude.

They may want to schedule more than 2 people on Memorial Day. The line was halfway to the pharmacy and only 1 cashier. I asked if she could call for someone. She said she already had. When it was my turn the cashier told me that there was only 1 other person working and she was in the back "doing money". The poor girl was almost in tears. read more

The worst. Scheduled a CV19 rapid test a week before our flight (test has to be less than 24 hours ahead of flight). CVS Palomar sent an e-mail canceling our tests TWO HOURS before our scheduled test, sending us into a complete panic to find another quick test center on a Sunday. THE WORST. read more

I agree with all the reviews. The customer service and operational integrity is severely lacking. They only communicate with you when they are trying to contact you to refill prescriptions, but when there are issues they go silent and pass the buck. I tried to post the 3 page letter I sent to their corporate office, but could not fit it into this review due to Yelp limitations. Either way it was not a very pleasant evaluation of this business. Honestly....it's a drugstore not Macy's so keep that in mind when it comes to customer service. Mind you, I've never had a single issue coming here. Cashiers are friendly, and are happy to check if something is not on the shelf and might be hiding in the back. Keep those rain checks handy! One thing to note that I've learned from the ladies here- if you're looking for something that might be on sale, it's best to go during the week. Why? THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE PHARMACY ONLY!!! The pharmacy at this CVS plain old sucks!!! I don't why I keep coming back but I come away with a bad experience all the time. There is always some kind of mix up with my prescriptions, the wait times are horrendous, and they lack customer service. I've noticed that there would be 3-4 people behind the counter filling perscriptions and one person manning the cash register. Usually the person doing the cash register is handling customers at the drive thru. You try to stare down one of the pharmacy techs hoping they would get the message to help out the ONE person at the cash register. Nope! They go about their business like there isn't a long line of people waiting for their prescriptions. The last time I was there I went throught the drive thru since I was in a hurry. I should have known better. There was a car in front of me and behind me. I waited 10 minutes for the car in front of me to finish up. Then it was my turn. I got to the window and I was told that it would be minute. I timed it and after 5 minutes of waiting I had to press the call button to get there attention. Then they told me it would just be a moment. Another 5 minutes go by. I can tell the person in the car behind me was red faced and pissed off. Finally they ask for my name and DOB. It took a total of 15 minutes plus the additional 10 minutes I waited for the initial car in front of me. I never got an apology for the long wait or a simple thank you for your patronage. I'll never go here again!!! read more

I used to be an employee at cvs when I was younger. I know the rules, I know that you are supposed to be treated with respect when you come in here. I walked in with my service dog, whom is tiny and very well behaved. I walked through an aisle and some lady that worked here gave me attitude and asked me if my dog was a service dog and to make sure I keep him on his leash. No lady I'm gonna take it off and let him roam free. What a dumbass. Hopefully your employees will learn how to treat people better. Won't be shopping here again. Fix your attitude. read more

I have been coming to this pharmacy for at least five years. Pharmacist knows me by name and is always helpful when answering my questions about otc medications not covered by insurance. His staff is friendly and courteous, even when there are several customers waiting in line. If you want to reduce your wait time, take advantage of the texting option for refills and pick up prescriptions during non-peak times. It works for me. That's why I continue to come back! read more

Takes forever for medications to get filled. When prescriptiOn was dropped off we were told 45 minutes. We waIted over 45 minutes to come back. Went to pick up window and the lady gives attitude and tells it won't be done for another 15 minutes. Here comes the waIting again.... 15 minutes go by and back to the counter we go.... another lady tells us it's still not ready and to give the pharmacist another minute or so. Ridiculous. An hour plus goes by and it its finally ready. Thanks for wasting my afternoon CVS. Never going to this one again even thouggh it's close by to my house. We dropped off our prescription last night at 7:19 pm ,right after being in surgery all day!!..pharmacy tech said it would be ready in an hour BUT that they would call me!!!....we called back at 8:45! Apparently they were ready to close...no one EVER called us to inform us that our prescription was ready! So my husband had to suffer in pain because we assed out of his prescription due to someones irresponsibility! As a customer,you depend on places like these to offer the services they promise and that didnt happen to us! Im now on my way to pick it up as soon as they open : lets hope its actually ready! I wish I could give this pharmacy ZERO stars! My son and I went straight from urgent care to pick up his prescription here, he has a bad case of the flu. We only came here because our regular pharmacy at Sharp is closed. I should have known, we always have problems with this pharmacy, but it's on the way home and I seriously thought, "How many times can they screw up? I'm sure it'll be fine this time." My mistake! Got here at 3:30, gave the cashier all my son's info. She doesn't ask me for insurance card, after all, he's had prescriptions filled here and still on the same insurance. Tells me it'll be ready in 30 minutes. My son was feeling pretty yucky so we waited in the car in the parking lot. About 5 minutes later, my husband calls saying the pharmacy called and they need his insurance card. I called the pharmacy immediately and spoke to the same lady who had helped me. I asked her, do you need the card now, or can you fill it and I'll bring it when I pick it up? She said, "Yes, that's not a problem." She told me it'd be ready in 20 min. I go back at 4:20, the SAME lady acts like she's never seen me and I have to explain again why I'm there. She said they need my insurance card and that it'll be ANOTHER 30 minutes!!! She even said she didn't know who I talked to, and when I told her it was HER, she just stared at me with her mouth open, saying I had to come back in 20-30 min. WTH? I explained my son is miserable and we've already been here in hour. She just kept staring at me and saying there was nothing she could do!! So now it's almost 5 and it's still not ready. This is the most incompetent staff I've ever had to deal with. The worst part is how many opportunities I've given them, but this was the last straw! I'll never come here again. read more

My wife and I showed up at 5:45 PM on Saturday, May 9 (15 minutes before close) to have a prescription filled. The lone pharmacist behind the counter was on the phone and completely ignored us for over 10 minutes. We waited patiently. At 5:58 PM he hung up the phone walked over to us and briskly said, "sorry, I'm closing" and began to put up the barricade. We ended up having the prescription filled at Wal-Mart and we won't return to this CVS. I hope CVS goes out of business and this pharmacist has to live in a refrigerator box under a bridge somewhere. read more

This review is for the minute clinic! Seriously GREAT experience. I went here for an infection because I thought I would be the cheapest option. *Make an appointment online! Super easy, you get to cvs and then sign in! I was in the doctors office within 5 minutes. I believe her name started like "kat" can't remember. She was fantastic and very nice:) I thought my insurance wouldn't work ( I thought it was inactive) and she offered to check it for me and it actually worked! I was shocked, saved me $150! On Sept. 22, 2015 at 1pm, I purchased a greeting card. An older cashier by the name of EVON (name indicated on the receipt) rang me up. She appears to be in her 60's. She was very unprofessional and tacky with her manners. After she puts my card in a the bag, she tosses it on the counter. Then when I reached my hand out for the receipt , she didn't hand it to me in my outstretched hand. Instead, she places it on the counter leaving me reaching out for nothing. Considering I worked retail for 11 years. I know basic manners and proper etiquette for cashiering and dealing with customers. This woman is seriously lacking in professionalism and either the management of the East Palomar CVS isn't training their employees properly or doesn't care. I believe the woman has been in the retail biz so long she thinks she can act how she pleases. I also noted she had some sort or red dye/stain all over her hands. Not sure what that was about but it was unsightly as a customer. I'll have to go next door to Ralph's from now on. read more

Why is there only ever ONE cashier during the busiest time of day, with a line stretching halfway down the store? You'd think management would hire more people to work the registers - I'm sure the minimum wage they make would be more than offset by just one box of tampons... which we need in a hurry sometimes! I walked in, saw the line and ran next door to Ralphs. Cost more money but I was in and out and back home while the line at CVS hadn't budged. Also the pharmacy techs that work there are hit and miss. The male techs are rude and arrogant, avoid them at all costs. The females are a bit more polite, some are even friendly, but all are courteous and will keep any nasty comments to themselves. There is a big fat guy that works there who is slow as molasses and has absolutely no sense of customer service. He'll tell you your prescription will be ready in fifteen minutes and you'll be waiting there for AN HOUR AND A HALF until you give up and just leave. Couldn't care less if you are waiting for heart medication. Since he doesn't have one I guess he sees no use for it! read more

After waiting in line for an hour at the CVS drive through, I did not pick up my prescription. They are doing covid tests in the drive through. The lady in front of me did her nose swab through her rear view mirror. She took off her mask to do so. I drove right through and called to complain that they are compromising the health of their customers by expecting me to drive up right behind her and roll down my window while her spores are floating through the air. My kids are in the car which is why I can't go inside and their system is negligent. I feel bad for the boy I complained to. I told him it's not his policy but he needs to tell his manager. I'm so irritated and upset. There were 5 cars when I arrived today around 2:30pm. It took an hour for 5 cars. When I left there were 8 cars blocking traffic. The Covid Test appointments are overcrowding the drive through and their system is obviously not working. Do better CVS! Stop the spread, not contribute to it. read more

Customer service here is terrible. The workers that accept your prescriptions have little to no people skills. When you are sick or getting mess for a child that is sick, the last think you want to deal with is incompetence. I'd rather deal with automated self service than with these workers. As a disabled senior with so many medical challenges I rely on my prescription medications being available on time, accurately, and professionally dispensed. The attentive smile and friendliness of all its staff is a bonus treat. Almost always I am respectfully greeted by Ben and Glaiza, the Pharmacy Managers, on a personal basis. Sometimes, even stopping what they are working on and coming over to the front counter to assist me. I'm pleasantly surprised because I have never been consistently treated in such a wonderful manner at other CVS Pharmacy locations that I have been before. You can imagine how special I feel. Having been a CVS customer for over 20 years (CVS merged with Long's Pharmacy then) and having lived all over California (from L.A. to the SFO Bay Area and now the San Diego area), I can attest that CVS Pharmacy #9113 located at 645 East Palomar Street in Chula Vista, is the most consistent and reliable CVS Pharmacy in California. On one occasion, due to a timing and miscalculation error, my prescription quantity could not be filled at the East Palomar Street location. Proactively and with obvious exemplary conflict resolution training, the Pharmacy Technician contacted the nearest CVS Pharmacy and arranged for the exact amount to be set aside and dispensed to me at a later time. On a more recent event, I will be traveling to Hawaii for my daughter's wedding and will be on vacation for 1 month and 20 days. My concern was that I may not have enough of certain medications due to timing and quantity restrictions of my health insurance provider. Pharmacy Manager Ben, guided me on how to coordinate with my prescribing doctors and effectively time prescriptions so that he and Manager Glaiza could request my insurance provider Vacation Authorizations on some of my medications. CVS should use these exemplary employees as models for other CVS Pharmacy locations to follow. Employees that go beyond expectations. Definition of this CVS Pharmacy is DISASTROUS A few weeks ago I was sicker than a dog having a huge cold and infection put together I couldn't even walk my parents had to support me. Once we arrived it was CLOSED! So we went some place else which it was very inconvenient! Yesterday I went back with my Mom to clarify if I had any possible bronchitis. I was still fatigued and tired from being sick . As soon as we get there there wasn't enough chairs to sit on so I had to lean on the edge of the Minute Clinic counter in order for me not to fall. The wait time was an hour but this patient decided to add two more of his family members (which took longer!) Common Sense would have been making an appointment online in addition to bringing his whole family?! I was getting fatigue so I decided to sit on the counter. The Store Manager (Mexican woman with Glasses and dark black hair) was very rude! She yelled at me across the store from the the first aisle. (Which was an aisle away from the Minute Clinic). She tells me to use the chairs next to the Minute Clinic. My mom told her there wasn't any more can we use the pharmacy seats? The store manager said go ahead! FINALLY, we are coming in Nurse Practitioner was too dry instead of letting us use the Robutussin Day medicine for colds she had us get a medicine (Deslym Cold Day and Night)I never used before! I never went to my Friends Bridal War Event thbecause of this! Once we finished we went to the register to pay The store manager(Mexican Woman with Glasses)was there to pay us. My mom softly told her; The reason why my daughter was sitting on the counter is because there wasn't any seats for her to sit on and as you can see my daughter is very fatigue she can barely walk but Now that I know I can use the Pharmacy chairs I'll be happy to get one! Store Manger says; I'm so sorry I didn't know I'll add some more chairs. My mom said ; Right because there's a reason why people are coming here?! Side Note: Don't Come Here! My wife's preferred pharmacy is next door at Ralph's but last year I went here and was in and out, no problems. But not this year . 15 to 20 minutes wait- never happened. After reading twenty emails and playing three games of Solitaire (and losing), 45 minutes later I inquired, "how much longer?" Brenda, pharmacy tech, goes to the order taker to find out and mumbles something about "the form" which was supposed to be given to me when I checked in. I heard the pharmacist saying something about a "glitch" and several minutes later another person comes out with her gloves and Sharps container to administer the flu shot. Don't know whether to blame the web service or the staff here but twice they did not get my order for a refill. The second time I asked if they filled it now, how long. Was told 15-20 minutes. I asked if they could expedite since they're the ones that screwed up and was told "That is the expedited time". I think I made a mistake transferring to this CVS. read more
