Coming here can be inconvenient for me sometimes, mostly for hours, but I love supporting a "moms…read moreand pops" business and Justin is amazing. He's not only super friendly but also very smart. Always took me back when I walked in and he remembered my full name. On top of that, the technicians and other pharmacists are always so nice and helpful. Its a perfect example of a locally owned, "moms and pops" business I continue to use over the connivence of the "big box stores". Any problems, they will call you. Wait times are far less than CVS or the pharmacies in the grocery stores. Moira is also awesome and answered all my questions. I prioritize efficiency in my life and they are a rare example of being all aspects - efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and so welcoming.

The BEST pharmacy in San Diego! A tiny local establishment but rocking with EXCELLENT customer…read moreservice AND how about IN STOCK medicine!?!? The big pharmacies are pathetic now...operating by AI robotic phone attendants that can't get information right, zero customer service, out of meds, dirty facility, unfriendly service, very very difficult to reach a HUMAN, and prices way higher! I desperately needed special yet very standard Tobradex antibiotic eyedrops...CVS didn't have them in stock, Von's didn't have them in stock (at least you can reach a human at Von's however!) but North Coast had the drops and at $85 vs CVS @ $260..what?!? Crazy. North Coast has great people who actually care and really hustled to get my prescription transferred from the out-of-stock CVS's to their pharmacy in record time and on a Saturday! Shout out to the best pharmacy in all of San Diego!

I have never had a bad experience at any CVS location…read more I want to thank a very special manager at this location. His name is Chris and he is always kind and patient. When having difficulty using my OTC App he made me feel good about my technical limitations. He deals with so many personalities and always remains calm and helpful. Although I would be sad if he left the store, I highly recommend him to move way up in management. Thank you CVS and Chris!

I had a very disappointing experience at this CVS Pharmacy location due to the pharmacist, Michelle…read moreT (like "Tango," as she identified herself). Her demeanor was blunt and unnecessarily rude, which made the interaction uncomfortable from the start. I came in requesting a simple flu shot. She refused, stating that there was a line. At the time, two people were being helped and only one person was waiting. When I asked for clarification, she stated word for word that she was "very overwhelmed with work right now" and that because there was a line and she was overwhelmed, she could refuse to provide the service. While I understand that pharmacies can get busy and staff can feel stretched thin, the way this was communicated -- and the outright refusal despite minimal wait -- felt dismissive and unprofessional. A flu shot is a standard service that CVS promotes as readily available, and I expected a more customer-focused response. If you're looking for better service, I recommend visiting the CVS on El Camino. They are open later, tend to be less busy, and provide a much more positive pharmacy experience.

It's very difficult for people who are trying not to shop at Walmart right now. It's better than…read moreusing Amazon, tho so...here I was. I was in the bougie area of Carlsbad. This Walmart keeps almost everything in their beauty, toiletries section, totally locked up. Even nail polish remover which is around $2, which is what I came in for. Seeing whole sections of inexpensive products locked up is annoying and ridiculous. I bought a couple products in the grocery area (one 12 pack of soda that I didn't have to buy 8 other 12 packs for to get a good price) then went to self serve to ring myself up. If I only have 3 things, I'm not going to wait in a line for an actual cashier. There were 2 employees standing right next to my self serve line. They were two busy flirting with each other than to acknowledge any of the customers or actually do anything. This store is the worst. However, it is very close to Target. Which is also on the should avoid list, but at least they don't lock up the nail polish remover.

I mostly stopped in because I wanted a wrist watch and some makeup. I was pleasantly surprised by…read morethe in-stock level at this location. As far as the watches go, the cheap wall (around 12$ each) was fully stocked but the pricier side only had around 5 options and 1 of each style. I found a Men's Timex Indiglo (I like big faces!) watch for less than 55$ that I absolutely love! Elf brand makeup used to be 3$ and on floor displays around Cosmetics, now it's 8$ and locked up. I don't understand why the watches are NOT locked up here but makeup is.... An employee came over quickly to help me with makeup and was very friendly. This store was not busy and the parking lot reflected that. Easy in, easy out. I recently shopped at Walmarts in every state on my road trip to the Midwest (northern route) and this location is by far the nicest I've ever been to. Overall, I am enjoying exploring my new stomping grounds of quirky Encinitas. I'll be back! Pros: - grocery and most aisles had excellent stock levels - huge store - lots of parking - friendly employees - fair pricing - hardly any classically defined "People of Walmart" here Cons: - the lamest things are locked up here; for a slightly better shopping experience, go to Target (but their stock levels are often poor!)

It honestly seems counterintuitive to leave a review being that their rating is so low and the…read morestandards there are just awful. And I don't necessarily mean from a service standpoint because I feel great empathy for the employees. It's the company's lack of care for the customer experience overall. From pharmacy to convenience store, they are terrible. Overpriced, out of stock, under trained, unreliable, inconsistent, and do not care. Selling bad gift cards, damaged goods, expired convenience grabs like milk (if they have it in stock) and expired health care and wellness vitamins and supplements. It's deplorable! You never know if your item was merchandised correctly so always have to triple check the size and brand against the signage, can't trust that it is going to ring up at the correct price. They're the only drive thru pharmacy left since Walgreens and Rite-Aid both closed but it is hit or miss whether it's open or not. The phone system is terrible, literally impossible to speak directly with a human and they have the worst inventory control ever. Can't keep 4x6 photo paper in stock for their very busy 1 hour photo business... More importantly, they're out of prescription medication all the time too. How irresponsible to be out of stock on life-saving prescriptions, especially for patients who have regularly monthly refills that are easily tracked by a POS system. They should never be out of stock unless all manufacturers are out of stock but it happens all of the time. Planning systems easily predict buying needs to near perfection, evading loss and keeping stores stocked even in the event of an influx of use. Why aren't patients needs top priority? And why is the restock time unpredictable and unreliable and often requiring the patient to follow up via a phone system that doesn't work?! As one of the largest Distributors of drugs, having bought up so much market share why aren't they being held accountable to responsible health care? Gelsons was amazing... closed. Vons was great.... Closed I really don't like anything CVS because of how much joy & time I know they're going to suck from me every time. They even make shopping for greeting cards miserable. (Horrible selection and disorganized) Hard Pass!

Prescriptions marked as due to be picked up that we're already picked up, more pills in bottle than perscribed, no notification when they do not have you prescription (for pain!), the inability to merge prescriptions so the picked up day is the same. The list goes on. I switched to online pharmacy. Accurate, hassle free, right to my door step
