A pharmacy where all the employees decide to eat lunch and dinner together and simply close down completely twice a day is insanity. Stop in one evening this week to pick up my prescription, pharmacy itself is closed. Come back two days later at 1:45 in the afternoon, the pharmacy itself is closed. I mean, you've got to be kidding me how can you completely shut down randomly twice a day especially when you've got senior citizens who might have life-saving drugs that they need to pick up! read more

Two stars only because they finally picked up after being on hold for 20 minutes after a third call in two days and one drop by but I left because the line was too long. Clearly, there are serious issues at this store that need to be addressed. One solution is to send customers to the other CVS down the street because they are way over their service capacity. A separate solution is to take all those who formerly worked the front POS but because they have customers now working for them as their own cashiers, they can reallocate them to the pharmacy. Do something and the attitudes need to change dramatically. read more

I went to the Fairfield CVS today on Black Rock turnpike in Fairfield Connecticut to return something and to purchase something. I've never been treated so rudely by the girl at the cash register. I found the item at a lower price on the app and and she refused to give me the price that was listed on the CVS app. She appeared annoyed to just return something for me. They really need to teach their young workers how to treat customers. I will never shop at that CVS again read more

This pharmacy group has that delightful mix of incompetence and rudeness that makes the waiting in line for 10 to 20 minutes justify the need for blood pressure medicine. All is not lost though as you can leave the store empty handed with some vague information on how to sort out the bad RX out with your insurance carrier and doctor after having watched the prior customers have the same experience. It is always fun to be called to come pick up the medicine that that is rarely packed for easy pick up nor ready for insurance payment This place exudes mediocrity and aims for lower. First of all, the pharmacy has once again wasted much of my time today because they NEVER answer the phone. Secondly, the pharmacy techs are RUDE and dismissive. Disgusted that I was treated poorly by the staff here. They are obviously overworked and I'm sure underpaid. The greed of this corporation is gross. They should be halting the number of incoming prescriptions if they can't handle the amount of business. I'm extremely disappointed with CVS overall because this is the second branch that I've had a problem with. The pharmacy customers are not there for fun, everyone has their own story and is obviously through something that is causing a need for medication. I don't even want to give this CVS 1 star. Where do I begin with this CVS... first off the parking lot is horrible. You have no room to pull out of your parking spot. When you walk in there is always one cashier who is yelling at people. She is always there barking at people for not using the self check out correctly or asking for a paper bag. I've actually heard her say to a customer, " you don't need a bag, I'm not giving you one". I dread going to her when I'm in line. She's just so unfriendly and unprofessional. The products on the shelf are usually half opened and used. The Pharmacy is always a disaster as well. They are extremely short handed and the lines are ridiculous. I don't blame the pharmacy employees. That is a corporate problem. I am switching to another CVS. Plus, the CVS app is terrible. read more

Calling the pharmacy to transfer to prescription to a location with the medication in stock is useless. They will not answer phone calls. Callers sit on endless holds. This place is so awful it's as if they do it on purpose! No matter how many days you wait to pick up your meds they'll always tell you it's not ready yet because they are really backed up. They can expedite your order but half the time they don't and you wait longer. You're better off mixing up a concoction on your own at home. I would actually give this pharmacy -0 horrible customer service, especially the pharmacy they act like you're there for fun like you don't need your prescriptions. You just take it in for the heck of it. I'd rather stick needles in my eyes then to go in there to pick up my medicine. I'm always begging a family member to go. Also a new one yes we ran your prescription through and the insurance won't pay for it till the 15th when my prescription is due the 12th call back five hours later another pharmacist put it through and tells me to pick it up go figure that one out!! I gave 1 star because it would not let me give zero stars.......they sent me a text saying they needed me to call the pharmacy and speak to them before they would fill my script.....I called all day and night for 3 days, they never once answered the phone or listened to their messages and called me back. So I went to the store and I told them I got their message and had been trying to get through to them for 3 days and maybe something was wrong with their phones? WELL, that's when the older lady with the glasses behind the counter started yelling at me about how busy she was and it was because of people like me complaining that they couldn't get any work done and that they didn't have time to answer the phones or check messages. I cut in with....for 3 days?! Because my doctor told me they had to resort to leaving prescription orders on their machine and their patients were all complaining the pharmacy was saying the scripts were never called in, which was NOT true.....the pharmacy staff just decided they would not listen to messages or care about the patients who needed their medications and could not even communicate with them BECAUSE THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE OR LISTEN TO THEIR MESSAGES! My company is so fed up we are switching out business prescription plan to Walgreens for next year, and I am def. Never going back to this CVS in Fairway Plaza in Fairfield, CT. FYI....my wife who needed her meds is a stage 4 cancer patient and it is not easy for her to get to the pharmacy to speak to them live, and they just don't give a (insert expletive here)!!! I work in healthcare and they are lucky they don't work for me, I would have fired that lady and one of the pharmacists who kept giving his 2 cents in an abusive and rude manner that was just not acceptable ANYWHERE UNDER ANY Circumstances..... LISTEN UP CORPORATE.....AT LEAST 5 people including myself called corporate and complained right there in the store about these terrible excuses for human beings and horrific employees.....make a change or this store will not survive in Fairfield much longer....I will take this to the president of the damn company if I have to. read more

The people working at the pharmacy are not nice at all and just keep talking to each other. I wish I can go less than 1 star. The absolute worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I am now going to drive longer every time I need an RX due to how bad it is. On multiple occasions it has taken upwards of a week to fill a prescription. When calling, they even said they will now just fill it, you need to show up and wait, or call that you need the prescription. Reported this cvs to the state health dept. This is now my 4th time waiting HOURS to pick up medicine. It's crazy. I'm not alone-- there's always 20 people waiting around whether it's 7am or 10pm. I could drive 2 hours away to another pharmacy and it will still be quicker round trip than this CVS. Just terrible. read more

Strange cashier who was talking to herself while ringing me out...overall it's your typical CVS

The pharmacy is chronically understaffed, behind, and unreachable. CVS asks you if you need an RX urgently via text, I said yes, the RX wasn't filled for 7 more hours. I then waited in a 4 person line that took 30 minutes, had to leave to go pick my kid up at daycare, returned and waited another 30 minutes. Today, my son needs an RX that his Dr. called in at 8:30am. Three hours later and still no confirmation that they've even received it. Called my insurance because I was told by the Dr. that CVS said insurance was rejecting it ... turns out CVS was entering the quantity as 0 (which makes 0 sense) so insurance continues to reject it. My insurance agent and I both waited on hold for 54 minutes before we gave up. I'm not having my dr. call this RX into another pharmacy. 1968 Blk Rock is brutal...highly recommend avoiding it. read more

I love CVS but this one stinks mostly for it's location. If you have to make a left, good luck with that buddy. Making a right? Prepare to have the car behind you come so close to you they can smell what you had for lunch. Customer service? Stinks too. They had me wait 30 minutes for a prescription only to tell me they didn't even have of that particular presciption left and sent me to the one up the road. My doctor calls in my prescriptions and there is always a problem. Not 1 time since I moved here in Feb. has there not been a problem., Always something. A lot of the time if I have a refill on a medicine and my doctor calls in a new prescription, they ignore the new prescription with 2 refiils and fill the prescription from the old refill, and ignore the new prescription. Thus, I wind up with no future refills. Every month. Always a problem. Not once did I not have a problem. read more

I had one prescription sent to this CVS location and will never deal with them again. Short story is I had to spend several hours while sick with pneumonia trying to get an urgently needed antibiotic delivered to the correct address, because the app is terrible and the people who answer the phone are completely useless. I still had not received the prescription hours after the time they said I would get it. My girlfriend finally went to the store to get it for me. Pharmacist said it had been picked up by the delivery service they contract with and should have been delivered to me. But it had not been. The answer of the senior person who came to resolve the situation with me patched in by phone phone was that I should call that delivery service and try to get the prescription from them, I was sick, spent 3 hours dealing with these idiots and now I am supposed to start over by calling a company I have no relation with, whose offices were probably closed if I wanted to get the antibiotic I urgently needed that day. I had contracted with that CVS location to have my prescription delivered; If they decided to subcontract out delivery to a third party that I have no relationship with, THEY should take responsibility for reaching out to their subcontractor and ENSURING that I get my prescription. This guy/pharmacy seems to have the judgement of an imbecile, the customer service level of Spirit Airlines and the competence of an orangutan. I cannot stand businesses or people like that. This business gets such bad reviews on every site. they should not be in business and the idiotic people I dealt with should not have jobs like this. read more

The only time I was able to speak to someone was when I called at 6am. Staff is rude. Lines are always insane. They are woefully understaffed, management needs to step in. I see other reviews about the pharmacy on this page and I can tell you that I have lived through that disrespect. The pharmacists are wonderful, the employees are really hard working and professional, however, one of the Pharmacy Assistants, she's nothing short of mean. I had been using this store and pharmacy for over ten years and recently my doctor called a prescription in. Twice, I went to the drive up to pick up my prescription and saw this particular employee at the drive up window and I kept driving. I called my doctor and told her to please switch my script to a different CVS, there's no reason a customer should be talked to disrespectfully. CVS should take into consideration that employees are a reflection of the company they work for. And this employee, she is just cruel. read more

Impossible to deal with. They're insanely understaffed, which is not the fault of the pharmacists, but the phones are often disconnected entirely if you try to reach a pharmacist and the drive through is almost always closed with just a cardboard sign in the window telling people to come inside. Again, I understand being understaffed, but now every person with an active COVID infection picking up medication is forced inside into the incredibly long line, exposing everyone else for the entire duration while possibly not wearing a mask. That's an unacceptable risk, especially to the elderly and immunocompromised, for whom this could literally be life or death. If anything, they should close the in-store pharmacy counter and become drive-through only. But if you want your prescriptions transferred away from this pharmacy, you either get hung up on or have to wait for over an hour to talk to anyone, and there's no way to ensure that your prescriptions aren't sent to this pharmacy in error anyways. I've tried to transfer prescriptions away from them using the app, but there's often no way to do it without personally contacting a pharmacist, turning what should be a 5 minute errand into days or weeks of constant phone calls, waiting on hold, and having to get doctors to restart the entire process by calling prescriptions in all over again. Before I started transferring my prescriptions away from them, one of my doctors was calling daily for over a week trying to get an error corrected with no response. This is totally CVS corporate's fault for allowing a store to operate on such a skeleton crew, but for such a busy location providing essential medical service it's absolutely unacceptable and cannot be allowed to continue like this. read more

Brittney in Pharmacy should think about the purpose of her job and try to remember that a customer coming in for a Covid booster should take priority over her scripts job. Not only did I have to wait over a half hour for my booster, with only 1 other person there for a booster, but then she was quite rude, like I was interrupting her "real work". My daughter was with me and had an appointment for 2 hours later. We asked if she could just get the booster while we were there- as no one else was waiting for a vaccine, and she refused because she wanted to get back to her scripts. Really? Good way to encourage people to get vaccinated. So we left without my daughter getting vaccinated. We live 20 minutes away, so decided we weren't going back and forth that rainy day. It would have taken her a few extra minutes and been the kind thing to do, not to mention why not get as many people vaccinated as they can. Maybe if she'd at least explained in a human manner, but her rudeness was shocking. We ended up going to Walgreens and they were very accommodating and nice. This CVS pharmacy is a big NO. read more

They have also placed giant plastic shields in front of the pharmacy cashiers, which would be protective except for the large square cutouts that expose the cashiers' faces. I've come here on several occasions, all for small and minor items (location makes it more of a convenience than anything). As if checking out at a normal CVS is bad enough though, here, they seem to have perfected the art of waiting. Waiting for a manager to come over and fix the transaction the cashier messed up on, waiting for someone in front of me, waiting for the line, waiting for a cashier to even show up; I've never been in and out quickly. If you need something from here and it can't be helped (medication, etc) then I wouldn't go to any extremes to stay away, but if you're thinking that you're saving a few minutes by not driving down the street a bit or waiting until you have to go to Target or the like, you're wrong. read more

This is the worst CVS if you are here for the pharmacy. There is always one cashier; and they tell you to wait 5 minutes and then 20 minutes later your prescription is ready. Then they tell you someone (as if there are multiple people behind the register) will check you out. So you go back in into a single file line behind 5-7 people; and wait another 15 minutes for your order. Basically, if you have an hour to waste, like I do right now while i sit in this store, you're fine. If you're in a rush, you're better off going elsewhere. The staff is nasty and probably under paid and the attitude comes at you just as you interface with them.

I rarely use the pharmacy but when I have my wait was short and I had no issues. I used to work at CVS as a pharmacy technician and I can tell you that this location is extremely busy and with an added drive-thru it only makes things worse. I shop here often as I live close by and sometimes the line can be long but they have always called for extra help and the cashiers and photo techs have always been pleasant. A few even remembered that I was pregnant and asked how my baby was doing. read more

Honestly, my experience at this location wasn't half bad. Aside from the actual location being in the middle of a high traffic, "sucks to be you if you get stuck at the light" part of town, the employees were friendly, saying hi when we walked in and mentioned ways to save money at the register. Called in a Rx at 8AM (approx.) for 2 PM pick up. Went back at 5:30 and Rx not available. Asked clerk why and she asked Pharmacist. Told insurance won't pay for Rx for another 6 days. I asked why and she said I would have to talk to Pharmacist. I said I would like to do that and she directed me to consultation area. I waited for Pharmacist; he saw me at both the counter and at the waiting area. He then went on to wait on several other people who came in after me. I finally walked out. Checked my phone answering machine when I arrived home. No message from CVS that the Rx could not be filled. So much for customer service and curtesy. read more
