I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this CVS yet - since moving to Farmington Hills from Clawson, this has been my go-to CVS, since it's the closest one to my new house. (the one on Maple/Farmington is also pretty close, but I hate the roundabout and also making a left-hand turn into it ...) This is a pretty solid CVS, although the Clawson one was great so they had big shoes to fill. I am in their ExtraCare+ program, or whatever it's called now (I get $10 per month to spend at CVS, and in exchange I pay $4 per month, and also get free pharmacy deliveries). Despite that, I have been to their pharmacy a few times, and sometimes the line can get long, but usually it goes fast. The front-desk associates are always very nice, too, and I've placed a few photo orders here too. I would recommend this location overall, and it's convenient that it's a five-minute drive from me. read more

The pharmacy here have always been exceptional when it comes to my prescriptions. They have always been filled as fast as possible and if the pharmacist discovers they do not have the medication they will send it to another pharmacy and ensure it gets filled the same day. The time and care they put into making sure medications are filled as smoothly as possible is beyond compare. read more

I have dealt with many pharmacies; independents, Walgreens, Amazon, hospital's pharmacies & many CVS locations. Generally CVS is the best; all meet an "above par" standard, when traveling I can get a script filled anywhere in the country, the staff is usually well trained, and friendly. They are a great place to get a Covid-19 test or vaccine & the "regular flu" & the new advanced "Shingrix" Shingles vaccine. CVS "Minute Clinics" are great when away from home or when a trip to the urgent care, ER, or the doctor's office aren't available or aren't your preferred choice. When there was a potential interaction between a current drug and a new prescription, they called and checked with my doctors that said that the risk was minimal and have advised me. When you walk in someone seems to always make eye contact or say "I'll be with you as soon as I can." If there is a wait is is short & if it is a little longer it is because of the customer's needs. These are the reasons why I drive an extra 9 miles round trip to use this specific CVS Pharmacy over a closer CVS, an independent, a Walgreen, a hospital's pharmacy and Amazon Pharmacy. I have read many negative and even scathing reviews of many stores, restaurants and of this pharmacy, the people the use words such as lazy, incompetent, idiots & worse have an ASTRONOMY PRROBLEM, they think that they are "the center of the universe" and hide behind Yelp, Google and hundreds of message boards to berate clerks, business owners and others that don't "kowtow" to them or agree with them. Sandy the customer service agent is so rude. She kept telling me how to put my card in the reader and when it wouldn't work she grabbed it from me and did it herself and still didn't get it right. This store moved from across the street and is now in its new building and open. Special Features: Pharmacy Drive-Thru (Located in Back), You can get your Flu Shot by calling their store or online for an appointment. No Liquor but Beer & Wine is sold at this location. CUSTOMER SERVICE - Cashier is very friendly and helpful. CLEANLINESS - Very clean store, Clean aisles, Clean Unisex bathroom, Clean parking lot, Clean Driver. ITEMS IN STOCK - They didn't have the Sylvania Netbook computer that I asked for (Been 3 weeks), I had to travel to another store to purchase it. Sorry CVS...No $100 for you! Otherwise the store was well stocked with a variety of products. SPEED OF SERVICE - Speed of service for this location is slow, Most of the time only one cashier working the front counter until 8+ People are waiting and then they'll call management to open another register. I've been coming to this cvs since it opened after arbor drugs shut down. It's hands down the Betsy pharmacy, staff and selection...especially in the beauty department. They are the only CVs that carries The perfume I love for the best price! And the beauty club rocks because If you buy as much makeup as I do you know it adds up and it's really nice everyone that 5-10 extra bucks coupon comes out (; also the new app is great because it sends your coupons right to your CVS card, shows you what deals are offered that day or In that particular store, & keeps everything paperless I am bummed they don't sell smokes anymore...they aren't 24 Hours (but never were in the first place) & don't sell liquor, only wine and beer. If negative stars we possible, I'd rate this CVS -10. Typically all I use/used here was the pharmacy, and those bunch of moronic baboons can't do anything. I swear to G-d, they can't count, answer the phone, get prescriptions ready when they're asked for, and they are lazy as f**k. I had a prescription for 50 pills and ended up with 18 more than I was supposed to have, my husband has a prescription for 60 pills and ended up with 82. I got left on hold for 45 flipping minutes to make sure a prescription would be ready when they open, (supposedly at 9am). Then went to pick it up and the bunch of idiots who don't speak English didn't have it ready for another 45 minutes and weren't even open on time. The one dude that works in the afternoon is such a bumbling idiot I honestly don't understand why he still has a job. read more

This pharmacy staff is BY FAR the most lackadaisical pharmacy staff I have ever encountered. I waited in the drive-thru (along with a sick sleeping 4 year old, and a 9 month old) for nearly 10 minutes before someone came to the window. I waited this long even though there was a person AT THE WINDOW on the computer who could...wait for it... ACTUALLY SEE ME! I understand if that particular person's duties isn't to handle customers at the window, or if they were completing their own task. However, a simple, "hi, so-and-so will be with you shortly; thank you for waiting" would have been wonderful and well-received. Further, there was NO LINE at the counter on the inside. So they weren't slammed with tons of folks. This is NOT the first time this has happened to me at this location; hence my motivation to post a poor review. To add to all of this, they did not have the medication I needed (not in stock; also not the first time, and what I needed wasn't some specialty super drug or something). My advice: if you'd like to get just in and out, or perhaps just get the medicine you were prescribed without any added aggravation (which their sure to provide) -- go elsewhere! read more

I've never seen a more incompetent pharmacy staff EVER!! IF I could put NO stars, I would!! My initial call was to ask a simple question, unfortunately I was hung up on in the middle of my sentence. ( This specific CVS is located @ the corner of 13 mile & Orchard Lake.) So I call again, thinking maybe it was a human error. I was calling inquiring about a manufacturer for a certain generic brand of medication. I was put on hold, then then the female said something that sounded like she was speaking in a different language other then English. I answered "Excuse me, I must of misunderstood you." Then the phone goes dead..AGAIN!! So I call AGAIN, I get the same female pharmacy worker. I asked her the SAME question, I hear her asking another individual (whom I'm assuming is the pharmacist??.) I then said to the female pharmacy worker I was speaking to "I looked online, and it said that this specific manufacturer (brand) could possibly be carried by your pharmacy?" "All I want you to do is look & check on that for me, to make sure that information is correct?" "Basically, so I don't waste my time bringing my prescription there!!!" She then asked something in a different language to the other individual there (which was VERY RUDE in my opinion) that I couldn't understand. She then quickly answered me with "You have to look online!!" Then HUNG UP!!! At this point, I had HAD enough. I bring my prescriptions and business there ALL THE TIME!! Well, as of now NO longer after being treated like this!!! So I called the store, and asked for the manager. His name was "SAD" literally. I told him what had happened, he then apologized for their actions (blah, blah blah, ) telling me the pharmacist is a "Floater" (which means he/she is a CVS pharmacist & just fills in wherever apparently needed??.) Personally, I don't understand what that has to do with ANYTHING??! So that is an excuse for being unprofessional...I guess?! He Sad (the store manager at the time) then said I can call the pharmacy GM, OF COURSE after I asked for a supervisor higher then himself. Her name is Elyse according to him. So that is my nightmare so far as of now, to be continued......after I speak to Elyse. Trust & believe I will be calling her letting her know about this experience. I seriously felt like i was calling a pizza place with a bunch of incompetent teenagers. They are often out of medications I take and I don't take obscure meds. (This is pre-COVID-19 too.) When my medications aren't in stock it can take up to a week to get them. Today was the 3rd month I called for a refill and have had to tell them that they should have the discount card on file, my doctor has authorized this, and my insurance company has authorized this. I called two hours ahead of coming to the store to pick up my prescription and they told me it wasn't ready to come back in two more hours because they just put it in. The pharmacy staff is no better on the phone. They incorrectly filled a prescription that I did NOT request. They send me text messages to pick up and I have now tried 3 times to call and tell them they've made a mistake. First time they never picked up. 2nd time, it sounded like they picked up but all I heard was talking in the background and then they hung up. 3rd time they picked up, immediately put me on hold and then never came back to the phone. This is my preferred CVS. I think they're nice, competent, and caring. The store is always very busy but needs to be managed better. I had a prescription that was filled so I went to the drive-thru to pick it up. There were 5 cars ahead of me because the secondary lane has been "out of order" forEVER and so there's no choice but to wait in the one lane. A couple of the cars were getting Covid tested and that always takes so long. I waited 50 minutes in that line. When I finally got to the window I asked the young lady if she interacts with the Covid testers the entire time and she said no. So then I asked, why do you allow them to stay in line, rather than pulling into a parking space just 10 feet away, especially when there are so many cars waiting? She said, well then they have to put the test in that box. They can walk the test back to the box. Each Covid tester seems to take 15 minutes which is a long time for any drive-thru. This needs to be managed better and cars should not be kept waiting for so long...50 minutes!! Incredibly inefficient, frustrating, and just plain stupid. read more
