I absolutely love this pharmacy. The staff is genuinely friendly, polite, and helpful. They're very knowledgeable and have answered many questions for me about medications. They are also very accommodating at getting my prescriptions if my doctors office sent it to a different pharmacy and they always get everything filled very fast. I moved a bit further from this pharmacy and started going to a different CVS and didn't like the staff nearly as much so I now go out of my way to stop by this one! As an added bonus, the store is always well stocked with basic necessities, which is very convenient. read more

I hate that this is the closest pharmacy to my house because I've used it for years. Their employees are atrocious. I go there tonight to pick up a prescription that was due on the 4th and they tell me that I didn't call it in- I'm sorry, what? Come back at 2:45 pm today- still not ready. Come back at 5:05? It's closed. I said wait can't you see if they're still here? As a school personnel we do that. I get businesses have hours. But when we went inside and asked about it I was treated horribly by the two workers there after I explained my situation. The one person was about 20 year old woman dark hair dark tan skin. Called me a karen because I said I wish I would have had a notification about the time when I called earlier. My daughter was upset and cried. Been there 3 consecutive days to get my antacid prescription and each time there's an excuse. They lost it, computers are down, and they only accept cash/check. I can't believe there is no back up if the computer goes down. It's not a narcotic. You can't just call the doctor's office to verify? Unfortunately the medicine was time sensitive because I needed to schedule a procedure after I finished the medication, so after the third day, I switched pharmacies. We live down the street and used to stop on there for little things all the time. I have no desire to go back now. read more

It's a pleasure getting my prescriptions at the East side CVS. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I used to go into CVS in Target, they were very nice there too, but it seemed like I always had to wait in line or for scripts to be filled. Having a drive up location is wonderful! I especially like that I am greeted and known by my name I feel like I get personal device at this location. During a recent visit, I had Ahmed help me with a prescription ... gotta day, this guy is a gem !! He went totally above and beyond for me ! The techs were also sooo helpful ... I worked here for about 5 months. I saw how they actually treat their customers. I was told by the manager to tell a customer on the phone that we did not have the product they were looking for because he didn't want to go look for it. I was unable to since I was helping other customers. They push a program called carepass just to make an extra $5 a month on customers. They do not care about the customer. They care about their money. Even the pharmacy was not good. I would hear customers complaining about them all the time. They always said there was only one pharm tech that actually cared. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. I have a medication I have had to take for more than 30 years, due to three major abdominal surgeries, resulting in serious weight loss and related complications. This medication is literally a life saver. I always had it filled, once per year, from a nearby family owned pharmacy, which went out of business and transferred my records to this CVS, without consulting me. I personally went to this store to explain the importance and verify their ability to fill the prescription, before contacting my insurance company and physician. I was assured it was no problem. (This is a medication commercially available through Lilly.) My doc sent them the Rx. After waiting more than a week I called on a Monday to check the status. They said it would be in on Thursday. I went to pick it up on Friday afternoon and was told they can't get it. The disinterested, unsympathetic pharmacist said all 15,000 CVS stores use the same single supplier and he did not know if it could ever be filled. CVS Health owns CVS and Aetna, one of the big three health ins. providers. Talk about a conflict of interest. Now I have to wait over the weekend to reach my doctor and insurance company and try to find an independent pharmacy not tethered to the corporate yoke who will work for me.. Shop local and independent whenever possible for your own safety. read more

I once read that the first step on the road to recovery is admitting that you have a problem. I used to just consider myself a MAC junkie, but I have now come to terms with the fact that I have a full blown addiction to all things pretty. CVS is just another enabler in a long line of retailers that offer cosmetics, nail polish and other beauty supplies. I read A LOT of beauty blogs, therefore I shop at a lot of places, a lot of times throughout the week. CVS: you are so strange and yet you offer items such as the Wet'n'Wild Spoiled nail polish collection exclusively. For only $1.99 a pop, you can purchase several of these colors here. I chose Shrimp On a Barbie (for the Dumb & Dumber reference, obvi), Bite Me, and My Silicone Popped. I also picked up a Milani Liquif'eye eyeliner in silver. Although not marked, the Milani was on supa dupa sale (select items for up to 75% off), and I bought that eyeliner for $1.75, originally $7.79. In the end, I ended up purchasing these goods for about $8s total which is what the one eyeliner would have cost had I not been so fiscally responsible (see how I justify this behavior)? What I really enjoy about CVS is that their price scanner gives you the option of printing the price out..terrible waste of paper, but I've never seen that option. It is kind of stupid that they don't have the stuff (like Milani) marked on the shelf, I mean if the point is to get rid of it, why not tag it up with clearance stickers? Overall, I will always like Walgreens better (better lighting/more organized) but CVS offers certain brands that aren't elsewhere, and their kick ass sales will keep me coming back on occasion. read more

I am in this CVS on a weekly basis and I have had mixed experiences. The Pharmacy staff seems to be a little better now that they know me and they know I'm there all the time but, the front counter staff leaves little to be desired. There have been times when they don't even speak at all other than to give you your total. It's weird. They have good coupons though! But in the end, I can't say I've EVER been in a pharmacy that wasn't a little rude. read more

I love the staff at the CVS on the east side of Geneva. Every time I go in there, the team is courteous and they always greet me with a smile. The pharmacy team is very helpful and conscientious. I was so pleased that this team (Kate as the pharmacist) went out of their way to alert me to a probable medication interaction that could've been serious if not caught. I have been getting my son's ADHD medicine filled in this story every month since I moved to Geneva last December. I have seen this same blonde pharmacist every time including getting our flu shots, so she should know me. My boys were going back to California for a month and I needed his medicine filled in my opinion 3 days early and her opinion 5 days early. I received an rx from my doctor and took it in. The pharmacist said she needed a verbal okay from my doctor. It was after hours so the doctor on call phoned the pharmacy and gave the okay, not good enough for this pharmacist, she needed to talk with our doctor. Then my doctor called from her office, visible from caller I'd, and gave the okay. The pharmacist asked her what her DEA# was and my doctor, first year, accidentally gave the wrong # then says I am sorry this is the right #. The pharmacist told her, Dr. Muhr, that she didn't believe that she or the original doctor that called were even really doctor's and hung up on her. She said there was absolutely no way she would fill this and didn't believe either of the people that called her were even doctor's. What the heck... does this lady think I am a druggie with some elaborate scheme. Seriously I have been coming here for months. I took that same RX and drove down to Riley's Pharmacy and told them the entire story, now in tears, because my boys leave the next morning with out my sons medicine. The pharmacist said that I was within the correct limits for filling the RX and didn't know what the problem should have been. She filled the RX in about 5 minutes and my son was able to leave on vacation the next morning with his medicine. I will never set foot into a CVS ever again. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! I cannot believe how bad the service is. I have been getting prescriptions filled here for past 2 years. They rarely have it ready even if I get a notification that tells me it is ready. They have screwed up my order many times as well. The CVS staff on Lincoln highway is smaller yet they always have my order on time and it is correct. Also they don't give me an attitude. I went there for my flu shot and all I can say is NEVER AGAIN! This place wasn't even that busy and they made me wait for over 15 minutes all while they had no one in the drive thru and no one was at their inside cash register. What was taking them so long to just have someone come and administer a shot to send me on my way? They just kept on working for over 15 minutes like I wasn't even there. Were they MAKING THE FLU SHOT? I think not. Anyways, when I finally was greeted by the administer she told me to lift up my sleeve which was obviously form fitting and it would stretch it out to do so and then she told me if I stretched out my neck she could administer the shot all while there was a curtin sitting right there behind her. I told her that I needed to take my arm out of my sleeve and sit behind the curtain, she acted totally put out and said, "oh, okay I guess we can go behind the curtain." Then she didn't even shut the curtain very much and my half naked top was exposed to everyone and anyone that walked by. I didn't say anything because I just wanted to get out of there and pick up my kids. RIDICULOUS PLACE! They charge more for the flu shot then Walgreens and they are very DISORGANIZED AND RUDE!!! read more
