One of the worst CVS locations I've ever been to and the only reason I keep coming back is because it's conveniently located near my gym. This location has no drive-thru so you're forced to go inside to pickup any prescriptions from the pharmacy. The parking lot is tiny and almost always full. If you're going inside to pickup prescriptions at the pharmacy I hope you're not in a rush because there's always a line and the staff here has no sense of urgency. read more

This is directed specifically towards the Pharmacy staff, the rest of the store is amazing! I almost never write reviews unless it's something positive/worth sharing. Worst CVS Pharmacy! I've never felt so insulted by a pharmacist before. I had COVID and I had multiple prescriptions that I had handed over to the pharmacist and after him reading all my prescriptions he asked me if I had COVID which I said yes and he raised his voice at me telling me to back up and loudly told everyone else who were in the back working with him that someone infected with COVID was near there. I was a couple feet away from him before him even telling me to back up but him telling me to get farther was unnecessary when I had double face mask and gloves on. I go here regularly for just about anything you can think of since its within walking distance of where we live. While the size of this store may not be that large, it's got a decent selection, and they're good about catering to the local market/local needs. The store is a bit on the older/run down side, but it's not too bad. the waiting area by the pharmacy is not too big (only 2 chairs, but there's standing room). I will say this-it's saved me in a pinch of I need milk, water, detergent, etc. The part I like the best is the staff is friendly, and they'll help you out if they're out of something you're looking for (like tissues on sale or cereal on sale-they'll let you substitute something else). read more

I ordered and paid for same day cards online. Zero communication from them about why they're not ready, although they have my text and email info with the order. I had to call, get put on hold, transferred, disconnected, etc. to be told they are out of paper and don't know when they'll get it. Their excuse it that "a lot of people are ordering cards." The place is understaffed, calling and getting to speak with a pharmacist can leave you waiting on hold for a half hour and nobody seems to care about the customer. Solid CVS. Private parking lot is the game changer with this one. Hoboken is a difficult place to find parking and any location with it's own private lot is prime real estate. Items are kept generally in order and the pharmacy is prompt is pick up/drop off. It's right across from Hoboken High School so if you time it when the school gets out it can be a little chaotic. Unfortunately I am not able to give zero star on this. I called them twice for my refill, first time they put me on hold for 40 minutes and hang up on me without saying anything. I was able to hear them talking when I was waiting. Second time they just hang up right away. read more

Maybe it was just bad timing on my part when I came in but it looked very haphazard. The shelves were not fully stocked and were on the bare side. The employees I did encounter were courteous and there were self-serve registers that I prefer sometimes. Store-wise, it's kinda average in my opinion. Nothing to rave about. read more

This is the one that is closest to my apartment and where i frequently get my prescriptions. I feel like in their beauty section they're always running low on stuff like they need to be restocked. I could spend forever and 500$ in cvs (it's like a mini target!) so it's frustrating when you can't get everything you want. read more

They lost my Script. how do I know this, you ask? Because I got a text confirming that they received the Rx and that it was being filled. Then I checked on the CVS website which stated that, indeed, the script was being filled and that I would be notified when it was ready. The next day: gone from the website and the pharmacist has no idea what I am talking about and she tells me to have my doctor send it again. Uh, no. people take your business elsewhere. read more

I went to this store today, and indeed the parking lot was a (welcome) rarity for Hoboken. Initially I wasn't very impressed, since there were no carts - and when I asked one of the (two) cashiers if there were carts elsewhere in the store, she didn't know. I had to wait quite awhile before she attempted to find out, although admittedly there were several customers waiting in line. She wasn't unpleasant, but she had inertia - and finally I insisted she tell the manager I wanted to talk to him. He arrived quickly and he was *very* nice - and also quite apologetic, as he told me all of the carts had gradually been stolen when customers kept walking out with them (!). He hastened to add that more carts were on order and he hoped to have them soon. I told him I couldn't carry around all the stuff I wanted to buy, so he rushed to the stockroom and got me one of the carts that employees use for restocking. He jokingly told me I was welcome to work at the store - but in all seriousness, it was very laborious pushing that thing around. Moronic at best. Sunday. Pouring rain outside. Would rather not go out but the Flu hype is wearing me down. I call CVS at 811 Clinton Street since it is close by. I ask if they have flu shots, they do they say, "Just bring your insurance card". I get all dressed up in rain gear and head out. I walk to the back of the store where the pharmacy is and a person asks me what do I need. I explain I need a flu shot. They ask for my insurance card and I hand it over, only to get it back with the person saying 'they don't take that insurance here. I should go to the 'minute clinic' on Washington Street, maybe they can take it there." Before I do that I call that location and wind up on hold for 10 minutes. I give up and head home where I am calling once again. Now over 10 minutes hold time, at which point I now give up and give them a mediocre review on Yelp for they are a mediocre company with mediocre personnel. If the person on the phone stated that only certain insurances are accepted this could have been avoided, but they were more than likely in a rush, filling out opioid prescriptions for strung out clients. read more

Nice store except when its raining and they let the homeless of hoboken just wander around in the store to keep dry. Sorry if i sound cold but there is a shelter two blocks away and I dont really like the idea of them touching everything just to look like theyre shopping. Every time I call the pharmacy I have to wait on hold for at least 5- 10 minutes. I usually just have a quick question about a prescription and it is frustrating. Also, when you Google search the phone number it is incorrect and you get a busy signal. Only Yelp has the correct number. However, whenever I shop at this location in store I have a great experience and everyone is friendly. read more

GREAT service at the pharmacy and location conveniently has a parking lot connecting Willow/Clinton streets so you don't have to walk around the block. If you go here for miscellaneous things you better have a black belt in self service checkout. There is pretty much never a human at the front registers. Pharmacist was incredibly nice and helpful...their systems were down and I needed antibiotics as I had taken a bad fall of my bike. She kindly gave me enough to get through the day and called me when their systems were up so I could pick up the rest of my medicine. read more

I like this cvs better than the one on Washington at. It's not open 24 hours but the people that work there are pretty nice. They try their best. It has parking as well, but his a HUGE bonus for people that live in Hoboken and need to stop by after work (when they drive). read more
