I came here yesterday and the exterior looked very old. Thought I dropped by to see what Christmas decorations they got in store for me to buy. I checked every aisle and they did not have that many decorations to buy. I found a nice cute singing and dancing puppy that was just too cute to not buy. I had my $10 cash bucks rewards to use so might as well use it on this dancing and singing puppy! The ears are so fluffy and flops up and down when you turn it on to sing and dance. The puppy moves side to side! You can stop the dancing by simply pressing the button on one of the paws. Other than that, they have nice hair clips for Christmas and lots of lights. I did not see any animated train and carousel Christmas decorations for sale this time around CVS like last year. I was initially going into CVS to look for those but ended up buying the puppy. Maybe next year they will have some in stock for sale. I will just keep trying to go to other CVS locations to see if they got these in stock because they are so nice for the holidays. read more

I had a last minute emergency and needed an appointment at the minute clinic. I got there at 5:15 hoping for a walk in appointment (I'd joined the online standby list as well). When the Dr. came out into the lobby, she said "we close at 6:30 and there's one patient ahead of you but I promise to see you." She was so incredibly kind and helpful. She even followed me into the aisle to make sure I was purchasing the right over the counter medicine. This is a conveniently located CVS if you live in the area, but it's very tough to find parking nearby. I appreciate that they have lots of self checkout stations so you can grab something quickly and don't need to wait in line. read more

I went to this CVS location for a standard Covid antigen test which is required for my upcoming trip but the whole process was very time consuming. Unlike other drug stores where you go in, take the test within 5 minutes and get the results in an hour via email, this location checked my blood pressure and did many other things I had already done a month ago during my yearly physical. In addition the lady asked me 1000 questions. I was there for 20 minutes. I don't know if they want to make some extra $$$ from my health plan but I would really rather just have the standard test and be out. I'm giving 2 stars because despite all the unnecessary work the staff was friendly but in the future I will just stick to Walgreens drive thru tests which are much more convenient. read more

CVS = Cash Vanishes Suddenly. We stopped here because, well, all the NYC food from the 3 previous days was threatening to ruin the next 3 days. So we got some much-needed early morning tummy relief, as well as a few other items. It's as shockingly expensive as every other CVS, but for some reason I like this location. Right in the middle of the coolest part of downtown Hoboken, close to all my fave delis, open early, service is okay, and they have most of what you might need. Got my vaccine here yesterday. I was very fortunate to find an appointment online. The check in was quick and the man working it was very kind and happy to help. The waiting area is an isle. There they verify your info once more. The pharmacist was very kind, funny and made the whole process seamless. They write down the time you get your shot on a board and keep you under observation for some minutes to make sure everything is ok. They sanitize every chair and have dividers between patients. The whole process was fast, safe and clean. I'm so happy I got my vaccine and even happier with the experience this CVS and it's wonderful staff provided. read more

This CVS was the light of day at night in Hoboken while everyone was clubbing. Nice a/c blasted me once I walked in, the staff was friendly and they even had a guard because it's a rough area. They also had more merchandise than the usual cvs and they were open 24 hours. Very clean inside as well read more

The pharmacist here today (7/15/2022) was so rude. I went home without my medication and paid to have it delivered because the pharmacist URGENTLY had to leave for lunch at 1:25 and couldn't spare me the 2 seconds it takes to pass a paper bag over the counter. I was the only person in line so it felt really unnecessary to shut the window in my face. I'm in here so often that the guys at the front recognize me, and I've never seen this pharmacist before. I'm confident that this CVS has saved many a person's life at some point; that is how conveniently located and large for such an urban setting this CVS is. It literally has everything you could possibly want and need and still feel spacious enough and never feel crowded. Did I see a freezer just full of the most random, GD knows how old frozen food items? Yes. Was a whole row of freezers completely empty? Yes. But who cares if it's a bit outdated, it's got your back when you need something. They have tennis balls! Wiffle ball bats and balls, beach chairs, the list goes on. They also have a great beauty selection, a limited grocery section and a whole section of odds and ends. Amazing. It's no bargain, but definitely a wonderful convenience. I bought over $1000 in gift card from CVS downtown Hoboken, the cards were hacked and had $0 on them , the manager told me I had to file an investigation with CVS, he also told me that the cards were being hacked and they were still in plain sight for hackers to access,, i asked why dont they do something about it, he responded we cant have a guard watching them,, knowing this they still have the cards out on the floor, after the 3 months investigation CVS refused to compensate me because it wasn't their fault that the cards were hacked and it was my loss,, ill never walk in the place again... read more

The last thing I want to do is leave a bad review. But this has to be the worst cvs I've ever been to. I was greeted by a worker who I explained I needed to use the bathroom but would buy a water. I got sent to the back only for the bathroom to be locked and get kicked out rudely but the security guard and supposed manager. Normally I'd be ok with this but to get kicked out only to look through the window and see another person literally standing there doing nothing in front of the same people that kicked me out, Disgusting. On top of everything, the manager and guard ended up laughing at me as I'm outside the building trying to tell them that this person is doing the same thing. I would never go back to this place and would never recommend it. If racism ever existed, it would be at this place. No class whatsoever. read more

Awful. No friendly greeting when you walk in. Pharmacy is apathetic. One Minute Clinic is empty. The computer in the clinic does not work. Scheduled an appointment yesterday, but nothing was confirmed. After a few minutes of trying to check in/schedule appt, I gave up. The screen was filthy and laden with who the hell knows what on screen. Bought some items and went to self-check out and of course, there was some difficulty despite doing everything correctly. The store employee tears herself away from her friends to scan and fix the problem then went back to her friends. I understand they fired their previous management and staff, perhaps they are running it into the ground so a developer can build a high rise on the site and CVS can have their lease bought out. It's really the only explanation. If I go to this store again it's only because it's the last stop before the PATH train. Truly awful and a must to avoid. read more

A 24-7 CVS, just expanded into the former store next to it, it has a decent selection of your basic needs for young people, with prices that aren't too crazy, and some canned and fresh food (milk, eggs, and bread) that are pretty consistent in quality for basic grocery supplies. No fresh fruit or veggies here, though. They have a pharmacy in the back, a photo center up front, and generally short lines other than after work and late night as people are going to parties and want a pack of gum or some gatorade before they go out to party. Seasonal supplies here vary in quality; decent personal hygiene aisles. read more

It's a CVS. This one is pretty big though, which is great. There is an okay selection of groceries (no fresh fruit and vegetables though). They sell lots of household odds and ends, like light bulbs, Brita filters, lawn chairs, you name it. I like going to CVS and looking at the random section because sometimes you find something you could actually use. They have these really cute baskets that can be transformed into mini wagons or something. There's like a handle that you can pull out so you can drag your basket! So useful. Also they have self checkout AND they're open 24/7, which is amazing. One thing that I don't like that the place can't help is that homeless people (?) use the outside as a hangout to panhandle... no matter what time of the day. read more

I have attempted to call this pharmacy on multiple occasions and no one has ever answered once. I tried calling a few weeks ago to refill a prescription two days in a row, multiple times and never got an answer. Currently, i was on hold for 5 minutes and not one person has called. I have the flu, and at a time like this being this sick, i especially need to speak with someone to assure my medication is there and available for pick up. I cannot just up and leave my apartment this sick. It's very disappointing to not have anyone pick up the phone ever. This is a 24 hour pharmacy, people are sick and so need medication. Your staff is always extremely sweet when i do go in, Ive never had an issue with the physical, face-to-face customer service. But answer your phones is customer service as well. Hopefully this review will have this issue resolved because I'm sure i am not the only person to be dealing with this. read more

This CVS is pretty huge and extremely convenient. The self-checkout stations are a big plus, especially since a lot of people come through here. Its also a pretty nice place to go late at night. A long while back I had to get stitches in my hand in the wee hours of the morning. CVS was the closest pharmacy open (24 hours w00t!). I showed up and the late guys could see how miserable I was. They ended up being a ton of fun to hang out with while I waited for the prescription to be filled. Try and find a register open here any day at any time..not happening. Customer service at this newly renovated store is not a priority. Bored assistant managers stand by, yawning and looking at their watches while customers literally do the heavy lifting. This CVS is dedicated to the customer doing ALL, and I mean ALL of the work. Self check out machines are busy but the humans here are not. Elderly customers, disabled in wheelchairs, and mothers with strollers and toddlers in tow have to grin and bear it. If the prices reflected the savings in doing the check out and bagging yourself, it might feel a bit more tolerable. But this store boasts the highest prices in town. This CVS has been pretty inconsistent the past year I've been going to it -- but I went today and the store looked great. Usually there's so many empty shelves, but there everything was stocked today and looked great. I never have any problem trying to find things. Usually go here to pick up medicine or bathroom products, and there's always some type of sale going on. The pharmacist I saw a few months ago was very friendly and helpful -- I asked about this wart thing that was on my finger and she examined it and suggested which medicines to get. read more

For this CVS being located in a decent neighborhood this CVS is on the blah side. The highlights of the store is that it was clean when I went, there was good stock on the majority of items (I barely saw any empty shelves) and I was able to find a Cookies N Cream hand sanitizer that I have been obsessed with for two years now haha. The main issue I had was similar to that of other customers that have complained about the customer service. I waited a good 10 minutes probably a little more than that for someone to service me at the self check out machine because the self check out was not functioning properly. I also requested my receipt as I always do and that was another hassle. I do not like to leave the store without my receipts because that is always my proof of purchase in the event it is asked for by security or in the event I need to return an item which is almost never. Yeah...I know, it's just a simple CVS, but what I like about it is the automated checkout machines. You're as quick as you want to be with these, especially if you get skilled at it. They have a good wide selection of stuff, including small office supplies, etc. This place is never overly crowded, even at the height of rush hours, so that is another plus. read more

Oh man, CVS kicks Duane Reade's @ss. I walked in to look for some thread and I thought I was at Target for a brief moment. CVS is huge and they have groceries too. Unfortunately, they didn't have the color of thread I was looking for but they seemed to have a little bit of everything else. There were some serious shoppers there and CVS seemed to be filling their needs. Hoboken is a bit of a college town and I thought it was really clever that CVS had an endcap of tiny plastic cups and ping pong balls. Beer pong anyone? I felt a slight bit of nostalgia and before I left there was another thing at CVS that really pulled my heart strings. In the feminine products aisle, there was a guy on his cell phone. He was obviously talking to his lady friend who's Uncle TOM was visiting. This guy was so clueless but he was on a mission. He was yelling into the cell phone, "You want pads right? There's light, there's pearls, there's a multi pack." Pads, Mister? If your girl wants pads move a little more down the aisle because you are staring at tampons! For all you guys who are not embarrassed to buy feminine products, extra points for you. You're a real man. read more

Well... it's a CVS. They, generally speaking, have whatever you are looking for, and I loved it when they introduced the self-service lines, but not the self-service doesn't take coupon without help! The place has what you need (and is better than the Walgreens a block away), but needs to allow for coupons at the self service line to really make it an efficient store. Also, if you go here, be prepared to be asked for change by the constant group of homeless people out front. read more

Doesn't matter if you call it in, your doctor calls, or you do it online. I'm no CVS connoisseur, but I've been to a few. This one rocks. PROS: 1. Rather large for CVS. They carry a lot of product. 2. Pharmacy. Fill prescriptions quickly and helpful staff 3. Self-Checkout. Always a plus if there's a long line... however, don't use if you have a coupon. You have to wait for someone, and it just defeats the purpose of self-checkout. 4. Seasonal goodies - I love marshmallow peeps, halloween candy and all the other seasonal crap that you really don't need but purchase anyway. 5. Cashback. I love cash back and I love that CVS offers it with debit cards! CONS: 1. Long lines. After work, the lines are awful and filled with commuters just picking up one or two things on their way home. If you can hold your needs until Saturday or Sunday - do so. Overall - my favorite CVS. read more

The practitioner Ms. Kristin Lo, was very thorough, gave me lots of useful information and was so kind to make sure I had everything I needed to get better. Mr. Tarell also assisted me in getting quickly signed since I was a walk-in and instructing me on the use of medical equipment I needed. Everyone was so patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Way too busy, but the pharmacists are nice and helpful and they are open late. They just need more workers to handle the Path train rush. Lots of self checkout lines which is nice but if you hit a snag be prepared to wait. Same selection as every other CVS but the food is a mark up just like NYC but not as much. The homeless guy outside every day also makes people pretty sad, he doesn't even ask for handouts, he just perfects his ability to induce pity day in and day out. read more
