The service at Medicine Man Pharmacy is the best in Hoboken. Everyone there will remember you, your prescriptions and your preferences. They've called to remind me that it's time to renew a prescription, and they even noticed that my doctor prescribed something that my insurance wouldn't cover, working with him to figure out what could work equally well under my plan (they saved me $90 per month!). At every opportunity, they'll bend over backwards to make sure you have a pleasant experience -- it's the opposite of faceless chain stores. This is a great little pharmacy and it's right down the block from my doctor. My prescriptions are sent directly to the store from my doctor's office, and all my address/phone details are already in the system. They're great and the pharmacist is always helpful and will offer suggestions on low-cost alternatives when drugs are not covered by my prescription plan. Great personalized service, and usually pretty fast. They also text you when your prescription is ready (if it was not in stock). read more

great little shop. unlike impatient people who post negative reviews wishing the little store closes (what, so you can go back to cvs?) for a very stupid reason (anger management perhaps?) I really find this place to be friendly and nice. you'll notice most of the reviews are 5 stars, and the only one that isn't is some guy that is probably the same guy that yells at waiters and doesn't tip. read more

I filled my two scripts recently and one of them was out of production. Pharmacist called and spoke to my doctor without my asking them to. Instead of showing up and being told I couldnt get one of them, I just got the replacement med and lost no time in the process. My biggest gripe with the big stores is this sort of time wasting. He also explained how to use tea tree oil and I bought a bottle that was a reasonable price. Would use again. Nice people. read more

I don't live in the area, but was there to visit a friend. I needed to kill some time and when I stumbled upon Medicine Man pharmacy, I remembered that I had a prescription to fill for my wife. The pharmacy layout is very neat and functional. There is a nice selection of good quality products. The store looked pretty busy, but I waited no longer than 15 minutes to get my medicine. The pharmacist (Joseph?) took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions, and being how paranoid I am about drugs, I had a few! I do not usually write reviews for anything .. mainly because I am lazy and it takes too much time .. however Pete and Jacob have gone out of their way to make my experience with Medicine Man as flawless and easy as possible, so I felt compelled to let everyone in the area know how great they are! I had recently been laid off from my job and when my company paid insurance plan was about to end, they made sure they filled all my prescriptions before my plan ran out so that I would have enough medication until I got a new insurance plan. They also always search for a coupon for my various medications so that I will pay the cheapest possible price. They really go out of their way to make you feel like you are more than just a customer, but rather a neighbor or friend. Every time I walk in, no matter how much time has passed since the last time I was in, they always say, "Hi Haley, how are you?" Truly a great place to do business and I would go here any day over the big pharmacy's such as CVS or Walgreens. I highly, highly recommend Medicine Man! It also really makes me feel great that I am supporting a small local business, as I know business can be very competitive in this area! So that is definitely an added bonus of going here! read more

Wow. I can not say enough positive things about my experience at Medicine Man Pharmacy today. This is the first time I filled a prescription there. I've stopped in over the past few months for shampoo, essential oils, etc. and they've always been very pleasant. I went in there today to pick up two prescriptions for my husband that I'd asked to be sent there. I recently started a new job and so I had new insurance. I didn't even have the insurance card yet. i just had a bunch of ID numbers that I gave to Joseph, and he patiently tried to make sense of my confusing info. When the system wasn't accepting my ID numbers, he proceeded to get on the phone with my insurance company. All during this time, Alex, the other pharmacist, kept me updated on what was going on. It was finally figured out that I had carelessly made a small error when I gave Joseph one of the ID numbers. And this is why the system wasn't accepting my info at first. I felt so terrible to have caused Joseph and Alex to spend so much time on this, but they never seemed to mind. The entire time, they kept calm, friendly smiles on their faces. It was if they were saying, "This is what we're here for." When I did have the prescriptions in hand, Joseph and Alex talked me through them and answered all my questions. They cared SO MUCH.
