Extremely disappointing experience. The pharmacist created unnecessary barriers to filling my prescribed Suboxone, which led to withdrawal symptoms. Communication was rude and dismissive, and there was little compassion for a patient in recovery. Her name is Hai Bui. I have since transferred all my prescriptions and filed a formal grievance. I hope the pharmacy improves its approach to patient care. CVS lost a customer for life because of this. read more

This review is for the Photo Center located inside this CVS on the corner of Goldenwest/Warner. CVS is one of the few retailers these days that still offer in-house photo production services - something that other big-name retailers have gone away with - Costco, Sam's Club, Target, to name a few. You can browse the different products they offer on their website, and depending on the item, you can check for same-day availability based on the CVS store location you want to pick up at. The selection, design, upload and placement of the photos are all done online via their nifty browser-based photo editing/design interface. When finished, you just review your purchase, confirm store location - and then send it off. The store receives your order, and depending on production time - sends an email to you when it's ready for pickup. For my same-day photo calendar order, I received a confirmation email when the order was placed, and another email when it was ready for pickup. Production time was accurate - a little over an hour for same-day servicing if you make the cutoff time. If you order something more elaborate - same-day or in-store pickup might not be available, in that case, you'll see estimated production & ship times for delivery to your home. I lucked out when I stumbled across CVS's website after seeing if the other retailers listed above had eliminated their own in-house photo services - and came across two limited time offers expiring today for 50% off with min. of $20 (so pretty much BOGO free, since the calendars start at $19.99). The deals are pretty decent - if I didn't get the 50% off, there was another offer for 40% off no min. Pickup was easy - I came about an hour before closing to avoid weekend traffic, Kim the friendly clerk was able to bring up my order and payment was made without issue. Very slow and incomplete service! Dropped off prescription and they told me 20 minutes. Waited 30 minutes and still nothing so I went to the pickup window. Couldn't fulfill one prescription cause the Doctor forgot to state how often to apply the lotion. The pharmacist Norma stated she sent an electronic request to the Dermatologist. I called the Dermatologist while at CVS pharmacy, and they said they received no such request. I asked the pharmacist Norma to call them. She was rude and told me to sit down!. I waited another 20 minutes all along waiting in the pick-up line. Norma finally came back and told me $45 and I said fine. She then proceeded to take the other customers in line while just ignoring me. Will Not use this pharmacy again! Too bad the other pharmacists, Sonia or Hai Bui, were not here today cause they are always so pleasant and helpful. read more

Avoid this pharmacy!! This review is for the CVS at Warner and Goldenwest. Never in my life have I experienced a worst pharmacy. Even the pharmacy my daughter went to in Tijuana treated us better. The older Aisian pharmacist is an absolute joke. VERY unprofessional and lazy. My wife's doctor prescribed her a pain killer, and the pharmacist made her wait all day, never called, and then when we finally did get the prescription it was NOT what the doctor prescribed. It looked different and was very weak. (She is not the freaking doctor!!)She is judgmental and acts stupid. We went there to get insulin syringes for our diabetic son, and she gave us a complete run around, and was completely ignorant when it came to type 1 diabetes, having no clue what I was talking about, and still never sold us the syringes! (Had no problem at Walgreens, though.) We finally had enough and switched to another CVS and have had none of these issues. Save yourself a major hassle, and skip this pharmacy altogether. read more

I usually dont come to this CVS and probably wont again. I went in for a few items... it was a really humid morning (as it has been lately) and it felt like they had the heat on in there. The last item I was looking for were earplugs. I went to the counter, where the woman was on a phone call, and she told me what aisle number to go to, which was where I had already looked for them. Still, couldnt find them. Found another worker and I think it would have killed her to walk the 20 steps to show me exactly where on that aisle they were. Under the drops (ear or eye, I forget)... and then she walked away into the back. It seriously took me forever to locate them, and no one would take the two seconds to walk the short way to just show me. So annoying. read more

One register with a grumpy lady that won't let you use the bathroom even though you have to wait 30 mins for you medicine that was called in 10 hrs ago. Great customer service and care from Gina! I pass by several other CVS stores and come to this CVS on Warner and Goldenwest because of Gina. Gina greats us all when we come in, helps us find items, and also checks us out with a friendly, upbeat, and caring attitude. I have been a regular customer and have been lucky enough to come in many times while Gina was working. (Other staff in past have been helpful too so this CVS is good about hiring caring people.) We went in as a group yesterday/Saturday before going out for breakfast and was happy to see Gina and she helped us all find what we needed and we bought a lot. Customer service the way it should be with personalized customer care! (I am not a fan of going up and down aisles wasting time trying to find something (I try first, of course, but after a while give up if I can't find and if no one to ask) nor using self checkout which in my experience the machine does something that makes an attendant need come over any way so have to wait any way and is not really a customer satisfier so happy that this CVS gives us personal customer service. Gina was attentive and available. Makes me want to support this CVS store versus using Amazon thus we now spend our money here to support CVS.) Stopped coming to this pharmacy 20 years ago after they gave me"heart medication" instead of antibiotics for a bladder infection. I took it back immediately and the manager said that since I took it home there is no way to verify if they made a mistake or I "switched" the meds. I have no motive to do that...... I have never received heart meds ever nor anyone else in my family. I would not even think of such a thing!! I was shocked, amazed, mad, confused, and insulted that they would not fill my prescription properly. I was stuck with heart meds and had to get a new prescription filled elsewhere. My meds were delayed 4 days..... but I went to Walgreens drive thru and have been their customer ever since. read more

Its ok, except for one thing. The Pharmacy constantly calls me to pick up my prescriptions and when I get there there is no prescription ready. I tell them they just called and said its ready and they look at me like im from another planet. And yes im in the correct store.... They also called and left text messages telling me my prescription for one drug was delayed. This happened four times then I never heard from them again and never got the prescription. Not a vast number of items but the size of the place doesn't call for it. However, you do find what you would need. This pharmacy used to be good. But they hired a few new people (Ky and Rocky). And while they both seem like nice people, they can't seem to figure how to fill my prescriptions the way my doctor wrote them. They keep telling me the insurance won't cover them the way my doctor wrote them. But, a couple of other pharmacys are able to fill my prescriptions just fine. And it usually takes much longer than usual to fill a prescription. I live right around the corner from this CVS and I can tell you I'll be driving where ever I need to fill my prescriptions at a different pharmacy from now on. read more

This pharmacy is terrible. They are way understaffed. Anytime I call there I have a 5 to 15 minute wait just to talk with someone. The staff are fine. It's just that the CVS corporation chooses to cut corners at the customers expense. They typically have 1 pharmacist and 1 assistant. That assistant is expected to go to one side of the pharmacy to check in new prescriptions then go to the other side to check out customers. Problem is there are lines on both sides of the pharmacy. Sometimes the pharmacist has to quit dispensing to check out customers. Clearly a corporate problem out of the control of the staff. read more

I ordered several items from the Photo shop area and had no idea where to start. Javier came over and assisted me. I had 3 different orders and he showed me what my choices were and walked me through the orders. Explained all the pricing options and checked to see if any coupons were available to me. Incredible service. This CVS is way out of my way, about 15 minutes away but who cares as getting his help was so worth the drive. This is my third time to this store and he continued to always be helpful. The rest of the staff is pretty good as well. Don't print your pictures at CVS, I put an order in 2 days ago and when I went in they couldn't find it. They said their computer's been down. They're unreliable and you should print your pictures at Walgreens. You don't have to make an account and they literally get it done in front of you. Ridiculous "customer service"! Don't waste your time here. Waited at the photo calendar to pick up photos I ordered online for 10 minutes before an employee came over and told me to get in another line full of people who came in after me. I told her I just need to pick up my online order and she said someone else would come to the same spot she was standing in to get them for me. After getting the front of the line and giving the lady my name she brings me another order for someone else with the same last name and I told her it wasn't me and she proceeds to take all the photos out of that persons order as if she didn't believe me that it was my order. I again explained that my name isn't Kristen and she gave out a Loud sigh. I showed her my email confirmation sayiNgo that my order was ready for pick up and she proceeds to yell me that it's not there anymore...I just ordered it last night and I got the confirmation that it was ready for pick up a few hours ago. read more

If I could, I wouldn't give any stars to this store. I've went to this CVS about 3 times and each time had the WORST service. I thought maybe it was a bad day the first time I went so I went again because I live so close but I was wrong. Every time I go in, all the employees I see are young males which is fine but they are very unprofessional. My first experience was just awful. I got the items I needed to buy, went to wait in line and the employee was taking his sweet time talking to a customer and flirting with her. I don't care if he needs to hook up with someone then fine but do it on your own time! Once the girl left, he didn't acknowledge me, he scanned my items and showed me the amount I owe without saying a word. He had his head either down or facing the opposite way the entire time. Once I paid, he put my receipt in the bag and pushed my bag away and then greeted the person behind me very politely. Jesus! This guy was a total douche. The second time I went in, the supervisor was joking around with the employees (all of them were around 20 years old), running around, using language that is very inappropriate and ignoring customers. The third time I went in, I got face wash and went to the register....different guy this time but basically the same experience as the first time. No communication, too busy chatting with his co-workers, and just rude. Why not hire some females and have them work in the evening? Maybe the store would have customers that would like to return if they didn't feel like CVS is sexist and likes to have sausage fests. read more

First of all! I have no idea why Yelp has me listed as from San Francisco. I have lived in HB since the early sixties. I have been going to this store since it first opened up. I remember when the whole shopping center was farm land. I have no idea why there are so many complaints. Maybe you complainers are the problem. I'm old enough to remember when people didn't have their panties in a bind all the time. And believe me! It was a much better world. For about the last 15 months I have been taking 9 medications for my conjestive heart failure. The pharmacy has taken great care of me, and work real well with my Cardiologist. I get along great with everyone at the store. And I'm there about every other day. So if anyone could find a complaint I should. My hat is off to everyone at this store. Keep up the good work and the smiles. To me your the best. Complainers! Just find a new place to go and complain. Because that's the only thing your good at. And I say that! I do not use the pharmacy or shop here but I have gone to this CVS to pick up prints and photos. I recently moved to the area and have been using their Same Day Pickup for photos and I also got a canvas and 2 posters shipped here for pick up. There is not a separate photo center or an employee specifically for photos so you have to wait in line to ask for help specifically. Both times I was given bad customer service by an employee named Riza. The first time I went to pick up one print we had ordered online that day and she had rude tone toward me, but I did not really think anything of it. I just paid for my print and left. The next visit, we approached the line and were helped by Riza again and she was rude again. We let her know we were there for a photo order pick up, because we got emailed that our canvas and our posters had arrived. She asked for my name and lead us to the side of the cashier to look for our order. After searching for only about 45 seconds she said she could not find it and it wasn't there. I let her know we had gotten 2 posters and a canvas. She said "okay so 2 pictures". I had to keep repeating that they were posters and a canvas. I told her that it had to be there because we got two confirmation emails saying we could go in and pick them up. She said we were probably at the wrong location. I let her know we were at the correct location, she asked for us to pull up the emails while she helped other customers. We waited around 8 minutes and I made my boyfriend go back in line to get her to help us again because she had already forgotten about us. I showed her the emails and also told her that it had even been accepted by another employee and gave her the name, her response was that employee would not be there until around 1:30, and we would need to come back because she did not know where she put it. Her tone was rude and condescending. That upset me at that point, and I said that if I got an email saying it was delivered, I should be able to pick it up. She could probably see I was upset and went back to look at their orders and wouldn't you know my posters were there right underneath! She had not even thoroughly looked the first time, and was disbelieving of me instead of trying to help me. She put them off to the side then said she was going to the back. She returned with my canvas. I let her know I paid for them online. She took them to the cashier and rang them up and said "Oh... they come up to 0." Then asked another employee why they came up to $0, when I had already let her know they were prepaid. I think that this location needs to work on their customer service and train their employees how to interact with customers and be in communication about where they put their orders. It would also help if they organized a bit behind the cashier. It did not seem like she was trained on how to look for online orders and she did not apologize to me. I thanked her and left. The prints came out great but I won't be back to this location. read more

I. am disgusted with this store. Might as well call them baby kohl's. Promo after promo to get you in the store. Extra bucks earned throughout year but expire quickly. If I earned them by making purchases, then they are mine and should not expire. Same when they send special coupon for being you. Choose any $3.00 item free but you better hurry! If they thought I was special and gave me a gift, why the hell does it expire so soon or even at all? They want you to make extra trips and spend more money. My $5.00 expired yesterday.
