I liked this CVS. It's clean, organized, well stocked and near the pier in Seal Beach. I don't know what more anyone can want from a CVS? I gave the man at the register a coupon for a free item the manufacture sent me to replace a bad one. He worked on this coupon for what seemed like 20 minutes trying to get the machine to take it. He kept on scanning it over and over--tried a different register--he was so frustrated but kept on trying different ideas to get it to work. I think in the end--he just said, "get out of here--just take it." I liked that he did not give up--he fought the good fight with the coupon. Free and easy parking. CVS Pharmacy - store hours and hours - Drugstores Near Me - SEAL BEACH, California

On June 17, 2026, at around 4 or 4:30 pm the CVS Seal Beach location, I experienced verbal aggression, unprofessional conduct, and discriminatory treatment from the Photo Department Manager, Shaun S. His behavior escalated to the point where he yelled at me, pointed his finger at me, refused service, and ordered me to leave the store. Detailed Account of What Happened I visited the store for the third time to resolve issues with a photo order that had repeatedly been produced incorrectly. I also came to ask to print again a poster order that arrived without the adhesive backing required to mount it. When I approached the photo counter, Shaun asked for my last name. While he searched the system, I tried to locate the order on my phone, but the reception was poor. In a calm tone, I mentioned--using my usual affectionate language such as "sweetie"--that perhaps the team needed better training to avoid repeated mistakes with this product. Escalation by the Photo Manager Shaun became visibly impatient and told me harshly that he could not find the order and that I should reorder it. When I pointed out his tone, he raised his voice even more, insisting he was not being harsh. He then yelled to another employee to take over because he was "done with me," and he slammed the gate as he left the counter area. As a Latina woman, being yelled at by a man is culturally understood as verbal aggression. I stated that, while this behavior may be (I emphasize, may be) acceptable in his culture, it is considered unacceptable toward a woman in my culture. Aggressive Behavior Continues Shaun returned even more furious. He harshly ordered his employee to stop helping me, and then yelled at me to leave the store, effectively kicking me out. While the store manager, Nikki, was present, Shaun continued yelling across the counter, calling me a liar and making other comments I cannot fully recall due to the intensity of the situation. At one point, he moved closer behind the counter, pointing his finger at me repeatedly while yelling. Nikki attempted to calm him, but he did not listen to her. Cultural Context Nikki said I should not have mentioned "his culture." I explained to Nikki that in my culture, men yelling at women, pointing fingers, and speaking aggressively is considered verbal abuse, and I would not tolerate it. My comment about "his culture" was in the context of explaining why his behavior was especially offensive and unacceptable to me. I told her it felt like she was siding with the employee rather than the customer, and she responded that she stands by her employees. End of the Interaction Nikki advised me to reorder the poster at another location. I began walking toward the exit, but I firmly stated that Shaun lacked manners and basic customer service skills. He continued yelling sarcastically, repeating "God bless you" in a mocking tone. She once again attempted to calm him down; however, he clearly did not respect her, as he continued yelling at me and ignored her request to stop his behavior. Summary of Misconduct 1) Verbal aggression and yelling 2) Refusal of service 3) Ordering a customer to leave the store 4) Finger-pointing and intimidating body language 5) Hostile escalation instead of problem-solving 6) Failure of the store manager to protect the customer or de-escalate effectively Why This Matters This was neither a misunderstanding nor a difference in cultural perspectives. It was unprofessional, hostile, and discriminatory behavior from an employee in a position of authority. No customer should be treated this way, and no woman should be yelled at or intimidated by a male manager in a public business. read more

The female clerk that was trying to help was kind she was told by Jackie maybe supervisor? I had to walk in and purchase and then ask to speak to a supervisor that's when a Male looked like a pharmacist by the name of Rash said I was rude ? Why because I'm trying to keep my community safe ? Doesn't make since I'm sick and they want me to walk in and purchase Covid test and Zicam. He called Seal Beach Police on me I'm come on I'm 57 years old the officer was very nice I told him I was embarrassed he agreed with didn't make since. CVS Pharmacy - Rash clerk or pharmacist she called cops on me. - Drugstores Near Me - SEAL BEACH, California

Almost nothing went right at this store. I signed up online for a shingles vaccine and had a 3:30 appt. When I arrived, the lady couldn't find my reservation in the system, even with a confirmation number. No biggie, stuff happens. At vaccine time, she filled the syringe, and then twist it into a separate part which contains the needle. Well, the needle looked quite huge, so I asked about it and she agreed that it was probably too large (huh?). She got a smaller needle and the syringe wouldn't push the liquid through it. It stuck. She then tried another needle component, and another, and another, then retrieved a different batch of needles and tried two more - none worked. She said their needles are frequently defective, and asked me to be patient as she looked for another different smaller needle. Needless to say, I was quickly losing confidence in this ultimately going well for me, assuming she ever found a working needle at all. Well, needle number 7 apparently worked, and as she was giving me the injection she was complaining about their staffing shortages. After the shot, she couldn't find a band aid, and two other pharmacy attendants started helping her look for one. I offered to go out to Aisle 11 and pick up some band aids myself, only half joking, but they managed to find a single band aid after about 4 minutes. I'm currently at home, hoping I don't have an air bubble coursing through my veins. Oh, and to top it off, I got a text from CVS stating it was too bad that I missed my appointment and providing me with a link to reschedule. So apparently they never found/logged my appointment. It would be hard for me to imagine a more dysfunctional vaccine appointment, and since shingles is a two shot process - I'll be getting #2 elsewhere. read more

Deducting one star because confusingly you can make vaccine appointments with either the pharmacy or the minute clinic within the same location, so I thought the pharmacy had forgotten my appointment when it was actually with the minute clinic, and front CVS staff didn't know the difference apparently and could not redirect me. Have had multiple issues on numerous occasions getting my prescriptions filled. The pharmacists refuse to read the notes my doctor writes with the prescription. What should be a in and out medication pick up turns into an hour wait that also takes time out of my doctors day because now they have to speak to them over the phone in order to change medication. Love the pharmacy/ store. Changed pharmacies several years when they became so busy but now I am transferring back. Staff is very helpful and patient and always happy-but today I experienced something too familiar in this store- a rude customer who made it clear she didn't appreciate standing in line while the young man helping me had 4 other customers behind me. I'm sure it was my fault, I had entered a wrong phone number and it was the first time I had been able to get into a store because I had a broken femur and had been unable to walk for several months. So, I'm sorry for holding up the line, but I enjoyed talking with the store employee. The pharmacist Rash at this location wishes he was a doctor but it's obvious why he wasn't able to become one. Every time I pick up a prescription he is trying to lecture me and ask me questions, saying maybe there's a better alternative, a different quantity etc. Are you my doctor? Everything at this CVS seems considerably overpriced to any other CVS I've ever visited. I usually go to CVS locations in south Orange County or central Orange County (Irvine) -- but have visited others in Newport, Huntington, Costa Mesa (and other coastal cities) -- but whoa. The bubble bath I usually buy is $4.99. Here, $7.99. It was like that with every item I looked at. There wasn't anything special about this location that warranted the uptick in prices. My (substandard) Aetna health insurance provides for no cost Minute Clinic visits. My eye infection was misdiagnosed and I was told to buy and use artificial tears. This was completely incorrect. After two days of no improvement I went to an unaffiliated urgent care clinic, paid out of pocket and was properly treated. Avoid Aetna insurance which is owned by CVS, avoid Minute Clinic. read more

My insurance covers Covid home testing kits 8 per family until October. I was informed by the pharmacist at this location I would need a prescription for the test without even checking my insurance to see what was covered with in my policy. I doubled checked my policy and tried to show him how my insurance would pay for the test but he confirmed that CVS will not honor the conditions of my insurance as a store wide policy. I went to Walgreens and they took care of this and got me the test. For me this is a matter of trust and from this interaction I will not trust a cvs pharmacist/pharmacy going forward. read more

I have been a customer of cvs here in seal beach since 2016. the last 2-3 years they have have gone way the heck down. The pharmacy does not abide my HIPPA, blast out remarks that are insulting or embarrassing to others wehen they hear what has been said. Could be joking, no....rude and un called for. I have signed up for care pass home delivery since Jan 2021. I have now canceled it as they don't send it, or they don't know how and keep passing the buck, Told to call corp office and have more times then I should have ever done. Screwed up all my past financial summaries and my husbands to a point that they are missing tracking months of paid prescriptions for those months and not listed, and blah blah blah. The icing on the cake to which made the deal breaker was Martin and his insensitive, mean, personal bashing remarks. Uncalled for and should get him fired. I say this for all the people he has done this too. I am not alone. I have filed grievance with the state and will I never tolerate such a thing. So rude, and your pathetic. Dont be in the people business if you dislike it. Foolish. I held my mouth long enough so I review here. I have quit CVS all together. New pharmacy, they take good care and call if a problem delivery is free and no BS. What was I thinking (not sure why) putting up with the miserable times there or ask for something to be done and they don't have time. It is not normal. Had my first Corvid vaccine shot here. Very professional and clean. Figured it would be crazy but they were organized and friendly.

I began going to this pharmacy three months ago because it is closer to where I live. I have always used CVS pharmacies, however my experience with this pharmacy has been so frustrating that I am switching over to Walgreens. From the time I began dropping off the monthly prescription refill, not once did the pharmacy provide a seamless experience. In addition to having to wait over an hour for them to call my doctors office and verify the information (an office that is extremely hard to get a hold of) they failed to communicate that my next prescription would have to be rewritten by the doctor. They failed to provide appropriate instructions that were clear and concise allowing me to come back prepared. Instead I was informed at the time of my next and instead of the pharmacist apologizing, she blamed me telling me that she did explain to me and my doctor. I know this is an accurate because I had both prescriptions in hand at the time of my last refill and she didn't even remember that part. I had to go and additional three days without medication as a result of failed communication. What I do appreciate is that after I left they called me to let me know they did not have my medication available and did not know when it would be available. Although at that point I had decided not to go to that pharmacy ever again, I appreciate that if I were going to go they were at least proactive with that communication. I hope that in sharing my feedback they can improve upon their communication abilities with the community. read more

The lady here at the Minute Clinic here was super unfriendly and inconsiderate. I went to a different CVS closer to me but they didn't have availability today. When I went, they allowed both my husband and I to enter and were very understanding and courteous to both of us. This time, the woman said no visitors as if I was some shmo stranger off the street and not his wife and slammed the door in my face! I may come here for buying products but I will never come back to the minute Clinic and neither will he! Not if they want to separate you from your own spouse as if he won't tell me his results?? We sat their a whole half hour after our appointment was due. I only sat their about 5-10 minutes for mine. The only decent person their was the woman who was helping people get checked in. She was very nice and polite and gave us good information and that's the only reason I gave the 2 star rating! I would like to give better ratings but my experience is not close to what it should be! The other CVS location will be getting a positive review though because they really helped me and went above and beyond to answer all my questions and concerns! My boyfriend and I mistakenly thought this was a 24 hour CVS and walked in at like 11:59pm to buy a wrist brace and were greeted by a man behind the counter bellowing "CLOSED". Our mistake for sure, but there are better ways to handle that then screaming at customers. Plus, at least when I worked retail, the store wasn't closed until the doors were closed, which they were not in this case. I felt absolutely miserable one Saturday morning. I knew I needed antibiotics for a sinus infection, but was not in the mood for Urgent Care. Cue CVS tagline stuck in my head "Visit the Minute Clinic" Hmmm. Alright let's try this out. This CVS is the closest one to me with a Minute Clinic, but there are a lot more out there. I walked in and was greeted by a giant touch screen. I typed in my info and was shown a check in list with my name as number 3. Really? That's it? Okay.... I chatted with another woman waiting who probably gave me the plague, but whatever I used the free antibacterial at the door so I'm probably covered, right? I waited about 45 minutes and was called in by the nurse practitioner. That's the thing about the Minute Clinic, it's a one woman show. There is no secretary running your insurance or checking you in. You check yourself in and your Nurse Practitioner does everything else including paperwork and she does it in front of you....not bad for 45 minutes. She examined me and we decided on antibiotics and some pain meds. She scanned my license and insurance and gave me a receipt. Anything not covered by insurance will be billed to me, but get this, no matter what it will not be over $116. Why? Because Minute Clinic doesn't up-charge for anything. They charge for the visit, tests and that's it. She also offered to send my prescriptions electronically to any pharmacy I wanted, including the one in the store so I could shop or sit or pass out or whatever until my meds were done. She asked if there was anything else she could do for me and said that someone would be calling me in 3 days to check on me. My own doctor doesn't even do that. I'm sure that I will be back, the Minute Clinic takes care of a lot of things from sprains and cuts to physicals. read more
