Twenty minutes later, the walk ups were prepared to be given their shots, but I was told to return after 3pm because they had to take their lunch. Wouldn't be such a big deal, but I do feel kinda jaded that walk ups were able to just "walk up" and get their shots while I have to come back two hours later. It would have been more courteous and professional if my time was respected a little more than the people that didn't make an appointment, because then what's the point of making an appointment? UPDATE: I had to wait in line again behind people that had 1:40pm appointments. Mind you, they scheduled appointments at 1:40pm while the pharmacy is closed from 1:15pm to 2:15pm. After waiting in line, they asked if I had an appointment. I told them my appointment was at 10:40, but they took five walk ups before asking me to come back. I suggested they identify people in line with appointments before serving walk ups. They said that was a good idea. I thought it should be common sense, but... Anyway, they did eventually finally take me in for my shot, albeit four hours after my original appointment, so I will upgrade the rating to a three star.

I walked up with my aunt to the drop-off counter, but they refused to let me be an interpreter (I am a horrible translator/interpreter). I understand the confidentiality and privacy concerns, but they didn't have anyone at the pharmacy to interpret and translate to Spanish. It was taking forever because the technician/pharmacist didn't understand my aunt, nor did she understand him. I also remember that he refused to accept the GoodRx card to fill the prescription. My aunt and I left frustrated, annoyed, and she was in pain without her prescription being filled. How could they not have a bilingual pharmacist? Santa Ana is right next door. I think my aunt and I tried one more time to fill her prescription (hoping they had a Spanish-speaking pharmacist), but this time the technician said that they had an interpreter and walked us both over to a station in the pharmacy where he simply pressed a button (seemed like an intercom) where my aunt had to wait by herself to speak to this interpreter (I had to stand back) with the pharmacist. The technician/pharmacist kept pressing that button for a Spanish interpreter to voice through from the other end. It also took forever for anyone to speak back from that button, but the audio was so bad that even the technician/pharmacist couldn't understand them. Furthermore, the volume was excessively loud, which was embarrassing for my aunt. My aunt and I had to leave again, frustrated, annoyed, and she was in pain without her prescription being filled.

Apparently a rouge delivery driver was responsible and delt with. They truly did believe what they were telling me last week. I feel that Link very much cared about my situation and followed up with 30 minuets with the reason why and told me that my prescription was now waiting in my mailbox!! THANK YOU LINK PHARMACY!!! Employees have all been very kind. HOWEVER, I just had my prescription transferred here due to a shortage at other pharmacies. Link Pharmacy called me last Wednesday and confirmed that my prescription would be delivered on Thursday. No delivery on Thursday. Friday morning I called Link Pharmacy. Once again, I was told my prescription is out for delivery. I told them that I am due for a dose this morning and do not have anymore. I need my prescription. She said if it doesn't arrive by 5 o'clock call them back. It's Friday they close at 6 PM. 5 PM comes I call. Link Pharmacy assures me, promises me that my prescription is out for delivery. Well, they closed at 6 PM yesterday. It is 11:30 AM on Saturday. No prescription. How thrilled is my husband to spend the entire weekend with me when I haven't had my estrogen for three days??!! It has its own reception area, separately from the member service lobby on the first floor. My official check in time is 5:30am but they are open at 5:15am. Things started pretty quickly after I was admitted. They were nurses assigned to each bed in each areas like pre-ops, OR, recovery 1 & 2, and discharge. My wife signed up to receive text on my progress so she probably had better idea when I moved from one area to the next. It may not be a place you choose to visit but overall it was not a bad experience given the circumstances. Nurses were gentle and pleasant. And the process is rather streamlined. I hope I won't have to visit the surgical center again anytime soon.

Kelly said she will let them know to call in the evenings. I call Excell, every day 5 x a day to confirm a nurse will be at the house. Kelly from kaiser Permanente home health referral did not appreciate that I called her office to ask for help. She told me I called too many times. Instead of helping she did the opposite. This is too much stress . Everyone needs an advocate. 6:30 pm no nurse showed up today!
