I've never had a problem with this CVS. I pick up prescriptions here regularly with not a lot of wait. More recently, HOAG Urgent Care prescribed me a medication. I called CVS and they told me they never received it. I called HOAG and they said CVS had to call them! After explaining the situation to Brenda, she was nice enough to call HOAG and ask for it. Went to get some household stuff. When it's my turn to pay, the cashier didn't even say hi, next, or any greeting. When I walked up, her first words to me in a demanding tone is "phone number," not even "what is your phone number?" Once the transaction is done, not even a thank you or any word. I used to work for CVS Pharmacy many moons ago and that is definitely not how they trained you on customer service. If only I get a survey with my receipt because that employee definitely need an attitude correction. read more

I went here this week to get my H1N1 vaccination. The staff was pretty attentive and courteous. The shot is $15 at CVS and now it's open to everyone, not just the persons with high risk. If you need your seasonal flu shot or swine flu shot, check out CVS if you can't make it to your doctor's office. I would come here again because my doctor's office would charge a copay in addition to the cost of the shot. read more

Pros: Ample parking, convenient location, decent pharmacy service, the manager once gave me a free Butterfinger. Cons: They often seem understaffed at the checkout counter. For day to day purchases, I come to this CVS but for prescriptions I go to the CVS on Portola because they have a drive through. read more

Completely unhelpful. Came back to the pharmacy because husband didn't realize the prescription for brand name was switched by pharmacy to the generic that was tried and did not work. They claimed that the drug was never called in by doc so cannot switch back. If it was never called in, how in the world did they know to fill it in the first place and we even got a call at home saying it was ready to be picked up? Really? Do you think I am that clueless? They kept insisting that the doc needs to call in a new prescription. Probably too lazy to do it themselves. Wish I can give them zero stars. read more

For me, this is a very convenient location, but I'm not thrilled about the layout since they switched from Sav-On to CVS a few years back. The placement of candy is silly. You have to poke around the legs other customers at checkout if the candy/gum you want isn't near the register you're checking out with. This slows things down and is awkward. I hate that they sometimes have a guy working in the make-up section to help you select products. Honestly, I just want to be left alone to browse and find some deals. If I want full service I'll go to a department store. On the plus side, the pharmacy here is pretty fast and helpful. They are a lot less crowded that the Alton CVS. read more

I normally only come here to get clearance merchandise. They usually have a lot, although this year there wasn't a lot of Christmas merchandise left as opposed to last year. I dread what barren shelves await me after Valentine's Day... at least I can lose some weight. The square footage of the place is about as big or slightly smaller than the Culver/Irvine Center Drive branch so there's a lot of stuff in it (mostly medicine and cosmetics, though). They only had one unit of the medication I needed in stock when the price was "buy two for a certain price". However, I saw this practice at the Culver/Walnut branch of CVS as well and the savings was not very much anyway, so I'm going to disregard this issue for the time being until I actually need two of it. Well, the good thing about this place was that they had a lot of Arizona tea in stock at a considerable discount and the cashier was nice when I forgot my CVS card. read more

Wow who gives them the right to bark at customers? I needed to pick up some over the counter, stood in-line waiting for my turn - when i was next inline, a lady came out from some back room approached me and pointed w her chin to the self service machine and said "use that". Fine, i went to the self check out and scan my item. She yelled "you have to enter your number first or the coupon won't work", the left. I didn't have any coupons but i realized the price tag came out 30% higher than the label on the shelf. So i asked for help. She came out again, almost banging on the poor machine to cancel my transaction then barked at me "i told you to enter your phone number first " and ran away again. I then proceeded to enter my number, scan the item and the discount still didn't show. I waved at her, she yelled "if not working go to cashier". At this point there are 5 ppl waiting in line. I wish i caught her name. I didn't but i hope she reads this. She should know most of CVS shoppers don't feel very well, and regardless- she should not be any where near customer service. read more

I had a problem with my new lenses from another Ophthalmologist . I came to CVS and talked to Rumil Younan he was able To identify the problem right away And after the consultation with their optic center specialist they were able to Prescribe a new glasses with the correct lenses . 12:00p Covid test appointment, been waiting 35 minutes, called and was told it's about 20 minutes per person! That means another 40 minutes! Why even have an appointment? I visit this CVS all the time to stock up on snacks and other things. The workers are nice and will remember you if you come enough. The things in the store are easy to find and at a reasonable price with good deals every now and then. This is response to the one who talked about constantly being called or texted by CVS about auto refills and they are correct. It has gotten so bad I had to block there number from contacting me even though I pulled all my prescriptions out of CVS and took them to Albertsons/ Sav On Pharmacy. I have lived in the neighborhood for 19 years. I guess if you wear a bini because it's cold, don't expect the same level of service. My chip didn't work on my card and the CVS guy kept saying "Oh Well not his problem!" The younger guy had to do it manually. Now all is good. Wow! I get all my medication from CVS. The CVS Minute Clinic on 14333 Culver Dr. No service and no communication. I made a 9:30 am online appointment with text confirmation, after 1 hour waiting in the parking lot, I called the help desk to see if this was normal. They called the clinic and said I would be next on their list. Then after another 30 minutes I called the help desk and again received no verification when I could be admitted for a vaccine. I rescheduled for a 2:20 appointment, after 1 hour I called the help desk and asked if this was normal, they said no, and they would check the clinic. I was told the clinic had called me 6 times and heard a voice mail. I told the help desk this is a good number and there is no record on my phone. I complained to the help desk there must be something wrong with the personal and if they cannot get a simple phone call right I would rather they don't touch me .... I'll check another CVS. read more

Worst pharmacy ever!!! My doctor prescribed a medication that was to be dispensed as a brand name medication only. No generic. When I went to pick the medication up they had filled the prescription with a generic. I explained that I needed the brand name because the generic doesn't work for me. The pharmacist informed me that they needed to order it. Several days later the medication did not come in. I contacted the pharmacist and they said that they have a difficult time obtaining that particular medication and that I should look elsewhere. Since it was a heart medication and I was totally out that would have been nice to know prior to their ordering the medication. Then I receive a text that the medication was in and to pick it up. I called to check and you guessed it, the medication that came in was the generic. I went to RiteAid and they filled the prescription in less than 24 hours with the brand name medication. read more

Someone from CVS called me to inform me that my son's medicine is not available today and will be available in 10days due to some insurance thing but I confirmed with my insurance company that the medicine should be available with no issue. I'm still not yet done talking with him and he hung up the phone. Please respect your customers!!!!!! read more

as a prescriber, it is unusual to be placed on hold more than a few minutes. I was on hold with the automatic system for more than 15 minutes, called back and was disconnected after 10 and the third time, decided to send my patient elsewhere. read more

I went into this particular cvs in search for many products I had no Idea where in the store they were so I went up to a lovely employee there named Lilly and she was extremely helpful. Lilly was very busy setting up some important stuff but she immediately dropped what she was doing to help me and walked around the entire store and helped me find each and every exact product and even when I went up to check out she brought me something I was looking for that wasnt out front, she personally went in the back and made it her mission to get the exact item I needed so I had a completely satisfactory experience and products, she said that she does not work at this store but works directly under a man named Micheal, lilly was amazing and she demonstrated flawless customer service. I never like bash any stores or write bad reviews but when it comes to being being discriminated against I had to make and exception. As I stood in line at my local CVS store I watched as Brian the cashier greeted customers and seemed to be helpful. As I approached the counter with my children he gave me a look like he wasn't happy to see me. He never greeted us and started to speak to me with an attitude and didn't seem to wanna help me. I called the manager and explained the situation and he was super nice and apologetic. The store needs to not keep such an ignorant employee working there. By the way i wear a headscarf. read more

This CVS is more cramped than the newer one a block away, and the staff is less than helpful and at least a couple times have made me feel unwelcome. A lot of the people who worked here when it was still a Savon have left, and unfortunately those that have come along to replace them aren't nearly as kind or helpful. read more

Terrible customer service and Unknowledgeable in their own stores policies! I came in WITH my receipt to make a return. The Manager Kim, told me that it was to old and I would only be able to receive store credit and NOT cash back. I originally paid cash as you can clearly see on my receipt that I had with me. So he does the return gives me store credit. I went to my car and thought that was weird that they would not give me cash when I had the receipt. After looking at the receipt again I noticed at the bottom it very clearly in BOLD that returns with receipt are good through 5/27 today is only 5/19! So I immediately went back into the store and pointed out the mistake. The manager refused to fix the mistake basically saying "well to bad, I messed up but you're going to pay for it!" He didn't even seem to care at all that he just cost me $70! I'm very upset with the whole situation. I had everything necessary to make my cash return no problem and couldn't because the manager, Kim, doesn't know the return policy! If it had only been a couple of dollars it wouldn't be such a big deal but this was a $70 mistake. read more

DO NOT come here to print pictures!! I printed pictures last night through the app Kodak Moments and came to pick them up today only to be told they have the order in the system but don't know what happened to the actual pictures. They reprinted them on spot but seemed to not understand the privacy issue at hand which another customer behind me had to step in and make a statement that the issue is my privacy. They're family photos and Kodak Moments requires an address and phone number so whether it be someone that works there or a complete stranger that has access to my order now has my information and photos of my family. So the fact that this was brushed off and a simple sorry was adequate to the cashier isn't acceptable to me. Seems like people now days don't understand what this world is coming to and there's sick people in it and being careless with information and photos is a big deal. Will definitely be escalating this as I'm sure it happens to people all the time. read more

Damn, Chris. You docked them a star. What up with that? Well, I'll tell you precisely what up with that. It's the apparent indifference to the customer. I stopped in to get cash from the Chase ATM and pick up a bottle of Beam while I was at it. When I get to the check out counter, I see three cashiers, each ringing up a customer's purchase. I wait, and I see one of the clerks at the now open register fiddling around. I approach his register and make eye contact whereupon he reaches over, grabs a "next register sign" and places it squarely in front of his check out area without saying a word. I thought to myself, wow, really? I waited a minute or so for one of the two registers to become available. Neither the cashiers nor their customers seemed to have much else to do. When it became apparent it might be awhile, I made eye contact with the "next register" clerk, placed the bottle of Beam squarely behind his "next register sign" without saying a word and left. read more

We have had our prescriptions filled here for years. Today I was trying to pick-up pain medicine for my Wife that just had surgery. Took a few minutes to be helped since the young girls were to busy chatting and giggling amongst each other. I brought the prescription in and was told this wasn't something they stock so I will have to go somewhere else. I responded ok, well can you call a local CVS to find out who has it so I don't have to drive around - mind you the extra time it will take since my Wife is at home. "No we don't do that". Ok, can you recommend another pharmacy that may have it so I don't have to drive around? "No we don't know, we don't share that information". It took all my might not to say what was on my mind. Not even a sorry or any type of concern. Thanks for nothing CVS and thanks for taking a moment to help a customer out (no one even in line). I guess I will give my business to a business that actually cares about their customers. read more

This CVS pharmacy does a wonderful job! We keep them very busy and they are always pleasant and patient with us! They keep things organized and always greet us by name! I have had to wait on occasion but they do their best to get things accomplished efficiently! Nadine, Chris and the team keep very busy at this CVS but we will continue to give them our business! They are close to home, have a wonderful drive through option, texts alerts, extra bucks, nice air conditioning, and all the staff works hard to make things easier for us! This is one of the worse CVS Stores I have ever shopped at and will no longer be visiting this store. CVS as a corporation goes after profit before the safety and care of customers. Be very aware that this store is pet friendly, In fact they encourage their customers to bring in their dogs. Who cares about the health concerns related to that and in violation of. Who cares about the allergic reactions that some people including myself have with dogs and cats. Recently I had to fight to have a boxer dog removed from this store. The first question out of the managers mouth was "is this dog bothering you" ? What the heck? Are you serious you ignore your own rules , ignore violation codes and chose to allow these sick and selfish dog owners come into your store? Sad that we have to put up with this behavior.
