I finally decided to switch to a pharmacy that was closer to where I had moved, in North Orange County. That was about 8-months ago. The reason for the updated review is because in the last 2-months Tustin Pharmacy has run my prescription refills without me asking for refills. And since they are running them without my consent when I attempt to order refills at my new pharmacy they cannot process the refills because it looks like I have already picked up the prescriptions. Over the last 2-months I have had to call my insurance company and they have had to intervene by calling Tustin Pharmacy. What REALLY made me mad this month is that Tustin Pharmacy actually called me last week saying "calling to let you know your prescriptions are ready" and I specifically told them to please back them out, and remove my prescriptions from their system. And here I am a week later... they ran them without my consent and I am having to have my insurance company step-in again so I can pick up my medications. DON'T USE TUSTIN PHARMACY!

He listened carefully to what I had to say regarding the transfer requirements of the prescription I needed, moving it from my insurance, Optum RX, to Cura. BK understood exactly what I was explainly and was very patient. I've also dealt with Eric recently on a refill of that same prescription and he was also very patient, knowledgeable and communicated with me very efficiently when I has to call to check stattus, until the refill was finally transmitted to Cura from my PCP. I arrived on a very hot day and had run out of water and they had a little refrigerator with water and drinks while I waited. That was a nice touch.

However, when we arrive, the staff has no idea what we're talking about, and the medication is never ready as promised. Most concerning, during our last visit we picked up a prescription for 30 pills -- only to find two completely different types of pills in the same bottle, separated by a cotton ball. The pharmacy did not notify us of any substitution, and one of the pills did not match the description printed on the label. This is a serious medication error and a major safety issue. When my husband went to pick up the medication, the staff were arguing among themselves and even with him about what was going on. The overall organization and professionalism have clearly declined. There seems to be no accountability, and the staff repeatedly provide inaccurate information over the phone about prescription readiness. Whether the issue is due to new management or internal disorganization, something is clearly very wrong. We've decided to switch to another pharmacy and have reported the medication error to ensure it's documented. Until Cura Pharmacy addresses these internal issues and improves their quality control, I strongly advise others to take their prescriptions elsewhere for their own safety.

For a pharmacy where people come for vaccines and health related services, cleanliness is really important. Sitting in a dirty waiting area before getting a flu shot was concerning and didn't feel hygienic. The staff was okay, but overall the experience could be much better with proper cleaning and upkeep. I hope the store improves this, especially in areas where patients are waiting.

So, Larry lied about that, as well as other issues he argued about, including contradictions and errors (he must not have been reading the information correctly in the system). I need to be able to trust a pharmacist, and I don't trust him. He was set on being difficult and would not even look at me or listen when I spoke. I recommend against going to a pharmacy managed by him, even on a temporary fill-in basis, as needed.
