I had the worst experience at the cvs pharmacy 8580 north MacArthur. I would suggest to others to use other pharmacies. I arrived at 8pm and was walking towards the counter, where they saw me walking towards them. They pulled the gate down and said they were closed, they close at 8pm. Then the woman (couldn't see her name because the gate was blocking her) said that I could go to the 24 hour pharmacy. I explained my RX was filled there and I just needed to grab it. Furthermore, I did not live close by and tried to get there fast. The woman said nothing and walked away. The other man apologized and walked away. I completely understand they close at 8, but you saw me coming towards you and I was asking nicely if they could grab it real quick. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for many years. The pharmacists, the Indian lady as well as the Asian lady, and the staff have always been wonderful, professional, and very courteous. Recently, a new cashier, I think her name was Diane, attended me. Diane was the rudest person I have ever encountered at this CVS. She had to lookup my prescriptions, for which she had to step away from the cashier counter. This was not the first time a cashier had to lookup my medications. But no one ever told me to step to the consulting counter so that she could attend to those standing behind me. Seriously? In any case, I stepped away to the consulting counter and waited, after already having waited in line. After some time, Diane did go to the computer where she could lookup my medications and from a distance started asking me which medications I needed. She has no concept of HIPAA. Asking me about my medications from a distance..! I was not happy about it. So I said all. She pulled only the three medications and walked away from the computer to the cash counter to attend to others. That was understandable. One can expect to wait while medications are being pulled. What I did not understand was that I had to ask her about my eye medications in public. She was not trained in HIPAA matters at all. That, or she did not care. I decided to leave and said that I would come back when she had time to attend to me. And she replied with a "WHATEVER". That took me over the hump. She and I had an exchange of French words spoken in English. I decided to leave that pharmacy and go elsewhere. read more

Grabbed some cough medicine while in town on vaca. I am definitely a fan of the sales that CVS has. The medicine we got was buy one, get one 1/2 off. Store manager Gerardo is very rude and unprofessional manager and towards women I guess?! One of his associates was trying to get his attention and he not only ignored her but he also ignored me when I made an innocent comment. Even when I was trying to exit the store and the alarm went off because a tag wasn't removed, when I came back to him specifically because I knew he was the manager. Again, he completely ignored me like I wasn't even there?! I don't understand why CVS would hire someone to work as a store manager who is supposed to work with customers when he completely ignores the customers like they're not even there!? I recently had a change in insurance and now I have my prescriptions filled at CVS on MacArthur. I have been waiting on a month to get a prescription. I have ben into the store THREE times and each time I am told they do not my prescriptions and come back the next day....to no avail. The gentleman at the counter was unhelpful and seemed more interested in rushing me along, so he sends to to the drop off counter. Where the lady working this side proceeds to ask me "Why are you over here, as this is a drop off". Which I explained her co-worker sent me over to her. All in all, the prescriptions still were not ready. What happened to customer service? If you do not like your job, quit! Very unorganized staff I went for a covid test and called prior to the appointment and told to walk to the back and sit down without checking in. I did as told and waited for an hour and a half before someone asked me what I needed and told me I was sitting in the wrong location. They didn't even take me for the test because they canceled it without sending me any notification. I had to schedule at a different location and had no issues. read more

Always the worst experience at this pharmacy. They are slow. I was the only one in like picking up medication and for some reason it wasn't processed through my insurance. The pharmacist named Patel was my checkout person. He said he would need to input my insurance info blah blah blah which at that time, no one was in line. Then within 30 sec of talking he says he has to take the next person behind me in the drive thru so they could be checked out. I told him I could just wait here then he says no, I can't hold up the line. Keep in mind I'm always at this pharmacy in line and it takes 30 min for me to get to the front of the drive thru. So I've moved all of my prescriptions to Altos. Not only are they friendly, but they deliver it to my home for free. Bye bye CVS. read more

First let me say, I'm only giving this location a 1 Star review because zero stars isn't allowed. This location has HORRiBLE, RUDE customer service. I had never filled my scripts at this location. However, when I dropped them off in the drive thru. The lady asked me if I was getting out to present my GoodRx. Then, when I showed up and then went inside to get my scripts almost 2 hours later, the lady said she told me it would be ready in an hour. STILL NOT READY. Irresponsible pharmacists alert! My Dr. prescribed strong antibiotics for a lung infection. The insurance co only covered half the pills. Instead of informing me and allowing me the option of choosing to purchase the rest of the prescription or not take it at all, they let me go home with half. Having not taken the full course of antibiotics, my lungs are now worse of than they were before. Had I known the insurance only covered half I could have EASILY paid the $30 for the rest of the prescription. Ripal was the name of the pharmacist. While in search of some toiletries after a plane flight, I used the Yelp Search to locate a CVS near me. This led me to several "shadow" CVS locations; I would arrive at the destination only to find that it was a parking lot or empty field. *Imagine me standing next to my car in the middle of a field, fists clenched, staring into the sky screaming "YELLPPP!!!! (KHAAAANNN!!)"* However, when I reached this location I was relieved by it's brick and mortar solidness. Located in a small commercial section near the highway, it has easy access and can be identified from a decent distance. It's your basic CVS: pharmacy products, snacks and toiletries are here in abundance. Prices are fairly cheap and the parking lot spacious. If you're seeking such things in this region of North Texas search out this CVS, not the CVS imitators. read more

Earlier today I went to CVS after my wife's oral surgery to get some gauze's, I asked one the pharmacist for advice on what to get for this situation and the pharmacist advised that I should get the "No stick" gauze box. Purchased the box and went home and found out that I got the wrong type of gauze that didn't work, so I went back to the store do an exchange. The first guy said go ahead and get something else. I went to the section to pick the right one, I decided to pay more for the right box. Went back to the front and another guy was there and he said that I can't return or exchange the box due to Covid-19. I was like my wife just had oral surgery and I need to exchange it. Then the manager comes up and says you can't do the exchange, it's company policy, but you can bring it back after this whole thing blows over. So you mean to tell me that you can't give me my money back, even though I'm trying to buy the box that cost more than what I've paid earlier and throw the box that I returned away? That's stupidity, if you're not going to take the box right now because of "Company Policy", what makes you think that you're going to take the box after this blows over...like next year??? As a result of this bad experience I will never go to this location or any other location, since you can't give your customer their money back and throw my box away since it's "TAINTED WITH CORNA" and also boycotting CVS since they believe lies that the media has played. At first this CVS pharmacy was good about filling prescriptions, but now every time I come to pick up my medication I am told to wait 30 minutes because they are working on it. The prescriptions are sent in the day before so I'm not sure what the issue is with getting it filled when I come the next day for my prescription. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've been to. I dropped off my prescription at noon and was told it will be ready by 5:00pm. I arrived after 6:00pm and was told that it wasn't ready and it would be 15 minutes and to have a seat. I didn't have time to wait and now I am back 2 weeks because of work conflicting with their hours. I'm am currently sitting in the drive thru line and haven't moved in ten minutes. This review is for the Minute Clinic. Went in for a TB test and made an appointment with the PA for 3 days later. She told me when I return that I needed to register as a walk in. I did forget this information and came in at my appointment time. I tried to register as having signed up online in error. It was at this time that the PA came out and I said I am the next patient and don't have my code. She rudely told me that if she made the appointment that I was told to sign in as a walk in and that she even wrote it on my paper. Ok, my bad. I am 44 not 12. I told her she was right and that I had forgotten. I admit when I am wrong. There was another gentleman who was signing in ahead of me so when he finished she took him first when it was clear from the board that I was next and I was there on time. I will never use this Minute Clinic again. This is just poor customer service in general not to mention the fact that you speak so disrespectfully to people. read more

It's a CVS, and you get exactly what you expect. There's nothing extraordinary about this location, but there is also nothing truly lacking here. The pharmacy staff are pleasant and customer service is good here. My wife and I aren't regular customers of CVS, mainly because we get our prescriptions at another drug store (rhymes with Ball Greens). The reason I bring this up is because I've often thought about moving our Rxs away from our current national chain to another pharmacy. I don't see much of a difference between CVS and Tall Breens, and I would only move our account if it were an improvement, not a lateral move. One of these national chains needs to step it up and set itself apart from the other...right now, it just seems like the name above the door is the only difference, not just at this location, but across the board. read more

This was my first time ever visiting a CVS Minute Clinic and I have to say that I absolutely loved it. Maryrose, my FNP was very friendly, patient, and most importantly, she was very informative. I originally had a 73 minute wait time (I didn't know you can check in from home) but this went by faster because two people before me were not seen. I was able to have my RX filled at this pharmacy since I was already there. I highly recommend this place. In the end, I walked out with a consultation, a filled prescription, and a flu shot and all in under an hour and a half. read more

I really love this CVS location, I am a huge fan. There are several competing pharmacies located around this one, hands down this location wins. The pharmacy staff is really nice. The pharmacy hours are great. Overall I have not had a bad experience so far. The scripts I have dropped off are always filled in a timely manner. If something is not in stock the lead pharmacy technician has always been good about getting me an ETA and I have the product ASAP. The retail store is very comprehensive. Is the staff is great, they have always been helpful with pointing out sales and coupons. My CVS extrabucks are just another reason that keeps me returning. This location also has a minute clinic which I have used once for a sore throat. It was very quick and there was no wait when I went. The nurse on staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I used this pharmacy exclusively for well over 15 years. Over the last 6 months, or so, the customer service given by the "managing pharmacist " (?) has gone downhill. My final straw was when I had a prescription filled for an expensive (are there any other kind?) diabetes injection pen. Three out of the four pens in one box were defective. The device, not the medication. When I called the manager, her response was, "You need to call the manufacturer." No ownership at all. I moved all my prescriptions to either mail order or across the street to Walgreens (just as I told her I would, if they would not help). Goodbye and good riddance! read more

This review is just for the pharmacy aspect of CVS. First off, the automated phone system for prescriptions is light years ahead of any other pharmacy. The ability to receive a text message reminder when your RX is ready is huge. This location does a good job of communicating a realitics time frame when your RX will be ready . read more

Every time I have to pick up a prescription for myself or my boyfriend this CVS seems to find a new way to mess up. They lose prescriptions or do not apply our insurance towards the cost, which requires us to make multiple trips or calls into our insurance company to verify they did in fact get our information. The staff does not seem concerned with the multiple problems they cause. Find another pharmacy to use. read more
