Well, this CVS needs a boost! But I wish I could give it more. The only thing I can think about when I visit here is the word "adequate." It tries to be a larger and full shopping place for people to visit, in addition to the well-established pharmacy that it is. But it just seems to come short of appeal in my view - not because of what others have written, but because of its appearance on the inside and with that untitled (cement) floor, I feel like I'm in a dark place! Seriously. I have been here a few times and it's pretty clear that even with what this CVS offers, it's very difficult to top Publix a few doors down and the Walgreens across the street. Now positively, I will say the workers and pharmacists have been pretty nice and courteous to us when we visit. The shelves are usually in good order and decently organized for the most part. But with the stores around it, especially that fantastic-looking Hallmark next door, CVS just fails that test when it comes to appearance. When I looked back at my recent photos of CVS, it didn't seem like it was bad as described. However, in reality, that's the way I feel. I would certainly not discourage anyone from using this CVS pharmacy. They are a professional outfit and should be able to assist people with their questions on medical issues, whether it be over the counter medication or pharmaceuticals. But for me, I get that old "just walk on by" song feeling when I come near CVS at this shopping plaza. Let's hope it one day sees a regeneration because of a renovation. Recommend: MED read more

I shop at this CVS location for greeting cards and gift cards. You will not find a better selection at any CVS location in the area! The store is clean and organized and customer service is great. Unlike a few other CVS locations I've been to with very little greeting cards, this location has three rows of cards. Not to mention a huge selection of gift cards. You will find anything from restaurants, Visa and stores such as Marshalls and TJ Maxx. They also provide lots of coupons to help you save money. I've received coupons for greeting cards, toiletries and even $6 off a $30 purchase. I also signed up at this location a few months ago for their new rewards program. It's $5 per month but you get the money back as a coupon plus many other additional ways to save. You can try the program free for 30 days. read more

Each time my wife and I go to this store, she is most helpful in pointing us in the right direction for what we're shopping for and then ready to meet us at the counter to resolve any self-checkout difficulties. Staff is pleasant and competent.. My prescriptions have been filled adequately so far. My flu shot went off without a hitch, and the pharmacist is very accommodating. The one drawback is they don't have a drive-through like the Walgreens across the street does. read more

My wife is a advanced lupus patient and she suffers a lot of join pain and muscle pain, The pharmacist refused to fill a lupus patient pain medication, she gave us 3 excuses, the first one was she needed to transfer my wife profile from the previous pharmacy, the second excuse was she needed to talk to her Dr and after the Dr confirmed that everything was legit, that it was OK to fill it, the pharmacist decide she didn't feel comfortable and refused to fill it. I called cvs corporate office and they didn't care about the patient, they told me that their pharmacist can refused anyone at will, that if she didn't feel like filing it she could refused and there's nothing anyone can do. I will never use this place again and In My Opinion if you want a reliable don't pharmacy don't use CVS they don't care about the truth, if the CVS pharmacist can have the power to choose to let the customers suffer they shouldn't have any customers to torture. There should be a valid reason to refuse to fill a patients medication and cvs is allowing their pharmacist to discriminate and use personal reasons not to fill, when I spoke the corporate they said that if she doesn't feel comfortable she has the right to refuse and I asked why she didn't tell us that she didn't feel comfortable at first and instead she said she needed to transfer her profile from the previous pharmacy, when publix transferred the profile, she got another excuse, she said she needed to talk to the Dr, after the Dr confirmed that it was fine to fill it then she said she wouldn't fill it because she didn't feel comfortable, the truth is she didn't want to because when I told her that I get prescribed the same medicine and I fill it in that pharmacy she looked at me like is my choice not yours. The point is that cvs corporate office is not supporting their customers, they completely disregarded me, they don't care about your suffering. Cvs is bad business for patients period. read more

Customer service is abominable ! That is because they have no competition . They own the pharmacy, the insurance company, the PBM ( pharmacy benefit manager) and the wholesaler. In any other arena this would be a monopoly! Our employee benefit requires that we use CVS or pay out of pocket . My husband had a new Rx for an expensive medication called in to CVS. I had a coupon and waited on hold for 20 minutes to give a pharmacy team member the information . I finally went up there and was rudely told I would have to wait for it to be reprocessed. I happen to be a pharmacist and know this takes about a minute. I was told to come back because the pharmacist had to verify. This is standard operating procedure for them! All of our other prescription medications and over the counter drugs I choose to pay out of pocket at a local pharmacy that treats me like a person and not a problem . I have been going to this CVS for going on 5 years now and I haven't had a single complaint yet. The staff is usually incredibly helpful and sweet until recently. I believe it was a new staff member i met the last time I came in and he was INCREDIBLY rude and slightly aggressive, not just to me but friends of mine have also had issues with him and he is absolutely horrible for business because none of us will be coming back. read more

Nothing overly impressive about CVS. The pharmacy does seem to function a lot better than others pharmacies in the area. The wait is never too bad and if it is you get a chance to people watch and see what's going on. It was raining the last visit and the roof was leaking. Standing in line for medicine felt like the first row of SeaWorld as rain was splashing off the end cap. read more

SECOND time this Pharmacy has LOST a prescription! Worse yet i have to drive 20 miles to the DR to get a new script! This pharmacy used to be so good, and personable, that i used to pass 2 cvs's and 3 walgreens to go here. they have recently changed staff, (6 months maybe) and the new staff either does not care, is improperly trained, or were just worth the reduction in labor costs to CVS. very sad to watch a business scrape bottom. read more

BEWARE OF THE CVS PHARMACY ON ATLANTIC NEAR ST. JOHN'S!!! They shorted my (expensive!) prescription of a controlled substance by FIVE pills and not only did they not do anything about it, they treated me like I was a liar and like I was the one who did something wrong. The male pharmacist there was RUDE and AWFUL -- DO NOT GO THERE. If you do, just make sure you re-count your pills before you leave, because they can otherwise basically short you whatever they want and then won't refund the meds to you OR your money. I've NEVER been so poorly treated -- I will NEVER go there again! read more
