Went thru the 10 n under line. Cashier found a BOGO free boneless/skinless chicken w a code that didn't scan. After about 5 mins (literally) a higher-up came and it was inputted. But of course it didn't deduct the lower chicken breast package. Again the cashier tried to summon a mgr. was unsuccessful so she took me to Customer Service w that line. A couple more mins when he got to me, he said he needed to go back since it wasn't scanning correctly. Said it wasn't telling me it was a BOGOF n he needed to go check. Told him not to bother. Already wasted enough time n left my 10 items w him. read more

Typical Publix supermarket located across the street from the hotel we are staying at. Plenty of items, organized shelves, helpful staff, clean and decent prices overall. Its an older Publix store but gets the job done. We picked up some snacks and bottles of water for our hotel room across the street. Seems some things are a bit pricey here but that's life right now. read more

Did a deli pick up order to get home and see the skimpiest pub sub Iv ever recieved. Not only did they put very few toppings, but they were missing toppings as well. So disappointing... This Publix location has an awesome wine section. It's actually a room to itself off the right front of the store. But the location at Beach and San Pablo makes getting in and out a little tricky during busy traffic hours. Service has always been good. And the store has a great selection of grocery and produce items. I typically shop sale items as Publix is one of the most expensive grocery stores in the area. They usually offer one sub special each week in the deli, plus several bogo items. On my last trip, I needed whipped cream and got lucky with a bogo as just one can cost more than $4. Check out times were usually pretty quick. I will continue to shop this location when in the area. read more

Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. The overall ambiance here is pleasant and again, the staff is superb. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars. read more

Publix has an excellent upper management team that keeps the stores running at a very high efficiency. The policies are loyally followed by employees, which makes the customer experience, pleasant and consistent. The cashiers greet you and will engage with you if you like or not but it's up to you. They don't ignore the customer and chat with another employee. (I really hate that and in our other neighborhood grocery store the employees ignore you while they chat amongst themselves.) They have a slogan that I can get behind: where shopping is a pleasure. read more

Driving through this Publix' parking lot has become extremely hazardous, due to the limited line of site from the shrubbery. Despite numerous calls to Publix' corporate headquarters to advise them of this issue that goes back over 6 weeks, Publix has failed to address the problem. If you are driving through this parking lot, it is advised you use extreme caution. read more

Overall I really like this Publix! They have great service and all the people on register are helpful and very friendly. The only issue I have had here is with the raw oysters. About two out of 12 are usually always bad or impossible to open. The people in the seafood section need to do a better job of checking to make sure that oysters are not already open or at least throw an extra one with every dozen. read more

The store is well stocked, clean, and is conveniently-placed at the intersection of San Pablo and Beach Blvd. Everyone is helpful. Unfortunately, the last few times I have been in here I end up leaving when I see managers chastise their clerks in plan view of customers. I understand a level of performance needs to be reached, but chastising clerks in plain view is unacceptable. Take them to an area away from customers. Once management skills are enhanced will I end up forgoing my thoughts. I have always been under the impression that you can tell how a business works with how management speaks to their people and/or customers. I went to visit mother who is in hospice care at Cypress Village. I was told that need to have a mask and a face shield to visit. 3 Walmarts, Target, Walgreens, CVS no one has face shields. Went to this Publix, same thing, no face shields. I explained my situation to the Pharmacist and they found a face shield in a drawer and gave it to me! Staff is available on floor to answer any questions you may have, like where's the peanut butter, cheese slices, or capers--they're quick to give out aisle numbers making it fun to just ask! :) Fresh sliced fruits--watermelon, pineapple, mango and more--are packaged and ready to eat! Tried their bakery's mini pies recently and their mango key lime pie was perfectly sweet and tart, and their apple crumb pie was so good, too! To top your pie, don't get that chemical cool whip stuff though, try the substitute, truwhip, or maybe a tub of all natural vanilla bean ice cream and go ala mode! Their store protein powders are good for those who need to take in more protein and we preferred their vanilla over chocolate. Also picked up a cool ananas (pineapple) tillandsia plant for our room to remind us of home. You can also find sustainable paper plates and cup options, detergent, dryer sheets and more for hotel living and to simply avoid having to go to another store. So fresh and so clean, but pricey if not on sale. read more

This has been my favorite PBX for several months, to the point that I go well out of my way to shop here. Until today, shopping there was a pleasure. I am elderly and have hip and back issues - I am not supposed to lift more than 3 lbs. Usually the staff (the older ones, like me!) are very kind and accommodating. This morning after having made my request politely, one bagger glared at me, went to a bagger at the next register, and the cashier also reiterated my request. Are you really into belittling your elderly shoppers who need a small and reasonable accomodation in order to be able to maintain some independence? I really didn't think it was going to require all that fuss. Sorry, San Pablo. We're done here. Not worth the price of gas nor of my dignity to make the effort to shop there. read more

First of all the staff at the south beach Publix are the friendliest, most helpful anywhere. On a first name basis with most. But the quality at this, and all Publix is headed downhill like a snowball headed for hell. First the deli. Rotisserie chickens are more pitiful than ever. And they weren't very good to begin with. Should take a lesson from Costco. We come in on Sunday afternoon. The deli warming trays completely empty, sans 1 pitiful box of fried wings. No chicken dinner this Sunday. Bought a meatloaf last night. They don't make them in store anymore. They come in pre made. Baked it per instructions, took a bite and right in the garbage. Tough as an elephant turd that's been baked in the sun. Don't want to get started on the favorite products now discontinued. Stoned Wheat Thins crackers, Zapata salsas to name just 2. Convenient location, one of the slowest pharmacies I've been too, the pharmacy techs have a high turn over and they're continuously training, the pharmacists have turn over as well. Usually wait in line for 20-30 minutes just to pick up a prescription. The prescriptions aren't always ready when they are supposed to be ready by. read more

I have been going to Publix Super Markets since I was a kid. My mom would takes us kids with her every Sunday during her weekly shopping trips and I loved it because that meant I would get a sprinkle cookie from the bakery (they were free for kids, but I don't know if they still are since I'm old now). While I no longer get my free cookie when I go into Publix, I do frequent the stores a lot and this location is one of them. I love the familiar faces of the employees who always seem to be happy and smiling. I enjoy the fact the locations are always clean and stocked. I love that it feels like home to me even though its a grocery store. I hope to be still shopping at Publix with my kids one day and maybe if they're lucky they'll get a cookie too. read more

As always publix doesn't disappoint. This location is large and has everything I needed. I came in for a sub and walked out spending 23$ because for some reason I needed BOGO deals during lunch. The staff is wonderful and extremely friendly and ready to help you out. The store was clean. I used the bathroom and the bathroom was also clean big plus! read more

I was happily surprised to find that my nearby Publix now has Caroline's Carts for people with disabilities. My 16 year old son uses a wheelchair, and I normally have to leave hi with someone or have my daughter along to help me when we shop. Not anymore! Way to go, Publix!
