I ordinarily wouldn't write a review of a pharmacy, but maybe that's why I see what I see here. I can only speak for myself, and my experiences, but I've been going to this pharmacy for three years now, for both myself and a family member, and they take really good care of me. Prescriptions are ready when they say they will be, and when I have to drop off a new prescription and wait for them to fill it (even when it's busy and I know they'd prefer for me to come back later in the day) they get it filled and turned around as quickly as I'd expect it was possible. Are the folks behind the counter rushed sometimes? Absolutely. They're slammed in every direction from the drive through, the phone, and the counter. But even when they sound rushed, they don't cut me short. I always try to do my part and keep it short and sweet, though. All part of the social contract of being a human being. So, hopefully you take all these probably very valid reviews into consideration, including this one, and understand the popularity of this store and the large numbers of other CVS pharmacies, some of which are very close to this one too. This particular CVS is conveniently located to my house so I frequent the store often. The cleanliness of the store is always a solid five as are the displays and pricing/promotion information. The pharmacy is extremely busy so I am careful to drop off or refill my prescriptions in advance. The process of the pharmacy technicians to check for ALL prescriptions needs to be revamped. I have noticed that at the drive through the tech checks the system for what is ready, but at the counter they do not. On several occasions I have had to return for auto fills that the automated system informs me are ready just hours after I have picked up other scripts. I will say the majority of the pharmacy staff has been friendly and helpful to me for years. I also believe the pharmacy check out should not be used for items other than those medically related, but this pharmacy allows it. Additionally, the regular check out format needs to be permanently change to single line service. MIT has proven through studies that single line processing is more effective in expediting check outs provided additional check out services are available to assist those with 'extra service needs'. The general check out staff could be more friendly, but I think the format for check out and the stress they endure from impatient patrons my be to blame. I will continue to use this CVS because of location, cleanliness, and pharmacy friendliness. If I make customer service recommendations they would be: 1) improve efficiency at both the pharmacy and store check outs based on information mentioned. 2) change the pharmacy check out requirements (limited to medical items IE: Advil can be purchased with your Rx pickup) if you have magazines, laundry soap and beauty items take regular store check out must be used. 3) remove unused cash registers and replace them with more efficient register set ups with availability of 'quick pick up' items. In turn, add check out staff to ease staff stress which will likely improve check out friendliness. I think most patrons of this store would agree with this assessment and ratings would improve. read more

I called to ask a question and the lady that first picked up the phone was very nice and polite. I asked her a question and she told me to hold so she could get the pharmacist. In this location, when they pick up the phone they do not say their names so I am not able to put it in this review. Anyways, a lady picked up (I believe she had a Russian type of accent) and I'm assuming she was the pharmacist. She was so RUDE to me on the phone. Very unprofessional! She wouldn't even let me finish telling my story before cutting me off and saying, "I don't understand you!" She totally made me feel uncomfortable especially that my question was about birth control. Advice to this lady: You are a pharmacist! Act like one. You are probably use to these questions all the time so why be rude about it. Learn how to listen to you patients!!! And last thing, be understanding. You went into this profession knowing that you would be dealing with patients and their questions, so start being professional! The one star goes to the lady who picked up the phone :) read more

Despite having been here several times in the last couple of months, I've just now managed to settle down in front of the fire place with a glass of scotch to write reviews. Honestly, this CVS is pretty boilerplate for their layout. Drugs in the back, OTCs in front of the pharm counter, and beauty supplies toward the front. The thing that's killer is that, well, hell, this is VEGAS BABY and there are slot machines next to the register. So not only can you get your schedule 3s, you can gamble your change away while hopped up on codeine or whatever other "treats" (not my word, officer) your doctor prescribed. If you're staying at the Red Rock casino, this is one of the closest stops to pick up water (you're going to need it to stay hydrated in the desert climate) at a decent price. Fiji is just $2.60 a liter bottle - over $10 if you drink the one in your room. Don't leave home without it. read more

I had the worst experience imaginable with CVS PHARMACY located at W Charleston Blvd and S Town Center Dr. On 7/22 we had a teledoc visit at 12:30 pm at which time two prescriptions were needed. We tried to call CVS for a status at 2:00 pm but they didn't answer their phone so we went directly there. A female CSR said "we're waiting on authorization from the insurance. Come back later". We called at 4:20 pm and waited on hold for 28 minutes. Once again they didn't pick up so we went there for the second time. This time they said "we never got any prescriptions for you. Sorry. I have no idea why you were told we had them. There's nothing in the computer". At this point, because they never picked up the phone, it was too late to call the doctors office. The following day, 7/23, the doctors office verified both had been called in. I called CVS at 8:45 am and after a 14 minute hold a male CSR said "yes, they're in the computer. I'll get them ready NOW". We drive there and a very rude individual informed us they wouldn't be ready until after 12:00 pm. We literally had to stand there and argue for 10 minutes before they would reluctantly agree to fill the prescriptions. I'm now on a crusade to let this community know the staff at this CVS location is incompetent, inefficient and rude. And I will use every social media resource and platform to do so. read more

Someone wrote about this store being dirty. I have to second that. Went there in May and I thought the entire store felt dirty and definitely at the pharmacy. I asked the pharmacy tech to wipe down their window area and credit card machine because it was dirty and it was a bother for him. I think the store needs a "makeover" read more

I decided to change over to Cvs since we moved and it is much closer to our house. The staff is very friendly but they are extremely busy. I dropped off my sons breathing prescriptions, I gave them enough time to fill them. They ended up not having one them and had to order it, no big deal they told they would have the next day. Went in the next day to find out they didn't get it in. The next day they told me that it would be in on Monday, 5 days after I gave them prescription. I went in on Friday late afternoon to pick it up and one of the techs told me that it wasn't ready. REALLY??? and that I would have to wait. I must say I miss Walgreens. read more

Called last night to make sure that my prescription was ready for me to pick up on my way to work on Saturday. She said it would be ready by 10 AM. I get there and they passed me from person to person because my information needs to be verified. After waiting 20 minutes with no answer I decided to grab my card and leave. Is this not something they should have done over the phone or at least mentioned it to me. Their answer was don't worry you can call back and give us the information and always come back and pick it up... How inconvenient is that! read more

This is your typical corner drug store that you find close to your home, however you have one thing that sets this place out from the rest. Her name a Nancy. She is one of the friendliest cashiers I've met at a drug store. She always greets you with a smile and gives you that old-time tight-niched neighborhood feel that you could only assume you know about by watching old TV Land episodes of Dennis the Menace. This place is good for the munchies or for milk / eggs / ice cream and you don't feel like investing in the time to visit a full fledged grocery store. Beware!!! CVS Pharmacist are Scammers!!!!! The one on Charleston in Summerlin! They refill old prescriptions to get rid of their old back stock. Knowing that your old refill has been updated to a new higher dosage and that you've picked it up twice already. The Manager stated that they don't keep files or a record on medication and that it's against Nevada Law to return a prescription. They obviously didn't have a problem taking back my prescription the first time they made that same mistake. It was obvious that I was confused and aggravated because if I got the medication again, I would have to pay again. The manager was rude! Clearly not made to lead or be an example of the pharmacy. Arguing with a consumer doesn't help any situation. Before you sign anything at that pharmacy, make them open that bag and really check your medication. Don't trust what that outside label says either. That's how they screwed up the first time with my medication. read more

Customer Service is great! Always helpful and courteous! Pharmacy always provides alerts via text and courtesy phone call to advise when our prescriptions are ready and when they're close needing a refill. I was surprised to see the low ratings on the store because I've had nothing but great customer service throughout the entire store including the pharmacy. read more

This is my first visit to this Pharmacy and I was extremely disgustedl. This store is in Summerlin so you would think that it is clean and the people that work there are professional but I found out today that is not the case. There was about 5 people in line and the individual who was ringing people was taking a very long time just joking around, not taking into consideration that it is around lunch time people and out running errands and maybe some of us don't have time to sit there and joke with him. I did have to use the ladies room and it was filthy I simply washed tomy hands and walked right back out there with tissue paper everywhere it was definitely not the type of restroom you would ever want to use. read more

I ordered a canvas print online to be picked up at this location on 11/21. When the canvas was ready, I received an automated call letting me know it was ready. So I had my husband pick it up and done. I ordered 7 more canvas prints on 11/30 with an estimated pick up date of 12/06-12/13 at this location. Surprisingly, I received an automated call at 12:01pm on Monday the 4th letting me know that my order was ready to be picked up. I was excited that it had arrived early and went ahead and tried to pick them on my way to work which I had given myself an hour extra to do so. Upon arrival (I believe the clerk's name was Kim) I was told the canvas was picked up by someone named George. I dont know who George was and surely did not sent my husband or anyone to pick my order up. I gave them my first and last name and they still insisted that George picked it up ??? She didn't bother to try and resolve the issue if my order was in fact picked up by the wrong customer nor was apologetic about the whole confusion. When I told her I had 7 prints George only picked up one) she started saying maybe I was in the wrong location ??? Like the mistake was on me. I pulled up my order history on my phone and even showed her the caller ID of the number 702-562-3169 that called me stating my order was ready to be picked, she replied "oh uh yeah thats the photo center...I don't know who called you but you're order is not here yet and you never should go by a robot or automated system because we have live people to call to let you know". WOW Instead of lying she could have just apologized for the error that she or someone in their team or their system mixed my number up with "George". When previously I received an automated call and even have it on my vm as a proof. I waited to see if I will indeed get a "live" person to call me/leave me a message once my order actually arrived. The canvas arrived and had been sitting in their store for 2 days as I monitor its status online. But no "live" or automated call called me. This morning I decided to just call to check if they are indeed there this time. The person who answered the phone was the same person I spoke to in person. I could tell by her voice she knew it was me. When I got there to pick them up, they forgot to give me one of the prints and I didn't realize it until I drove away and was a bout 5 minutes away already. It was a mess, but glad this time I was taken care by Chelsea (the only reason I gave this review 2 stars). She at least apologized for not giving me one of the canvas. read more

this is the most horrific pharmacy i've ever been to for customer service. i was on hold for 45 minutes and then when they finally picked up, they didn't give me the correct info. i had to call back, this time after 33 minutes of holding they hung up on me. i'm now calling back for a 3rd time and already on hold for 40 minutes. total disregard for customer service. whoever manages this location needs to step it up, and make your employees do the same! read more

This pharmacy has recently had a change in management and the service has improved dramatically. The employees make an effort to greet customers as soon as they approach the pharmacy, and make an effort to provide efficient service. If I'm in a hurry, I can count on prompt service, but can also count on the staff to help me find a product in an aisle if I need it. If one of my prescriptions is out of stock, I'm always notified ahead of time, and have even had the staff provide alternate locations that have the product in stock without any prompting. read more

I am super disappointed! I called the pharmacy and they wouldn't pick up at all. I went to the pharmacy it self and I could hear the phone saying, "2 pharmacy calls" and they wouldn't even pick up the phone. There was only one person at the register and the line was long. It is incredible how they won't even try to help people who need medicine. I don't understand why they don't pick up, because the pharmacy is usually empty with many employees. read more

In the winter of 2016 we entered into a period of peace with CVS.......We filled a few prescriptions, no one yelled at us, nothing was lost, we were not even accused of lying about the number of heartburn pills we received. It was time of great joy throughout the land.....I even stopped writing letters to our insurance company begging them to drop Caremark. But then I had a root canal. It wasn't settling down and the dentist prescribed antibiotics. When I picked them up, the instructions said to take one pill a day. For 30 days. Odd, I thought. I called the dentist, who clarified 3 pills a day for 10 days, and thanked me for checking. Had I not, the infection wouldn't have cleared and I would have faced having an unnecessary redo of a root canal (not today, Satan). Thinking that CVS and I were cool now, that they cared, that they were getting it together, I called the pharmacist just to make her aware of the error, since it could have potentially caused a problem. I was, I promise, friendly and just wanted to pass info along. She was not friendly, and did not want the info passed along. She told me that the dentist had left a voicemail instructing one per day. No, she hadn't the voicemail herself, but was certain about it. I told her that the dentist's office disagreed with this and said they had spoken directly with proper instructions. She said they were lying. If you are playing along from the safety of your homes, this is now the second time CVS has accused one of my doctors of lying. She hung up on me. When I went back to the dentist, the office lady confided that CVS had called them to clarify after my phone call, and admitted they were wrong. Apparently they are too afraid to call doctor's offices liars directly. And so we end our period of peace with CVS. Here's to hoping the rest of 2017 is healthy. read more

Honestly, I do not even want to give one star! I moved from Summerlin to the Northwest over a year ago, but kept using CVS Summerlin as my pharmacy. It's time for a change. This is absolutely the worst pharmacy. I'm not quite sure what happened over the years, but the caliber of employees is horrible. Everyone is always in a bad mood. They treat you as if you are a big inconvenience. Nothing is ever ready on time or they claim a prescription was never called in from your doctor. I've even received expired prescriptions. The icing on the cake was Mr. pharmacy tech; who thinks he's a doctor, chomping on his gum!! I'm sorry but gum chewing is totally unacceptable when dealing with the public. Who's managing this joint? This has been my pharmacy for over 10 years. They tell this is the busiest CVS location in NV and I believe it. They go above and beyond to get my prescriptions filled. They always fax my doctors to renew expired prescriptions as well. The store itself however has the worst check out process I've ever encountered. read more

I have always been a CVS fan over Walgreens. The pharmacy staff has always been helpful and friendly beyond expectations.....until this location. I've never seen such a group of unhappy, unfriendly, not helpful pharmacist and staff. The one friendly staff member was obviously new and inexperienced due to her lack of knowledge.
