Brian, a pharmacist attendant at CVS, inside Target at Boca Park on West Charleston, made my visit wonderful. He was so kind to administer the flu and vaccines at the same time with much kindness and care. I asked him to please talk to me because I don't care for injections. He was very personable, compassionate, and understanding. He talked to me and distracted me well, as he administered the vaccines. He is an expert, since I did not feel much at all with each injection. I have had plenty of vaccinations before, and he is the best. He massaged my deltoid, before the injection, which absolutely makes a huge difference in whether or not the injection will be felt... Picked up another person who had just come out of surgery and stopped by here to pick up some much needed post op pain meds. There were 5 employees in the pharmacy and no other customers. They sweated the Dr's script and said it would take an hour to fill it. I explained someone was in serious pain and would appreciate it if they could expedite. I couldn't help but feel like they thought I was engaging in criminal behavior. I had the Dr call them right away to verify the prescription but that only seemed to make matters worse. There is no reason a person in need of medication should be treated unusually. It seemed like the mentality was doubt first, then serve. A bizarre experience. I needed antibiotics for bronchitis. Costco had no antibiotics nor inhalers. I went to a Walgreens and the line was at least 8. Slow. Drove to CVS near Town Center. Was ignored at least five minutes with another customer behind me. I watched and could see the employees didn't appear to care. I left. Found this place. Was greeted right away by the Pharmacy manager. The staff was super friendly to drive up and others. They knew people by their name and customers voiced holiday greetings. After driving around (was longer than my ER visit, chest X-ray, breathing treatment) I found a good pharmacy. I have great insurance. read more

2017 Update: CVS on the corner of West Charleston and Durango has continued to be a reliable pharmacy and store. During this winter season, I have received helpful service from a competent and friendly pharmacy team, weekly. When the prescribed cough syrup for my son was out of stock, the technician immediately searched for the medication at three other CVS locations. When the cough syrup flavoring was on back order, the technician said she would contact Walgreens across the street, to ensure the pharmacy had the product, confirm approval of my insurance, and transfer the prescription. When I needed dye-free, sugar free, GF, I found Little Remedies brand acetaminophen and CVS brand with no HFCS http://cvs.com/shop/baby-child/health/pain-fever/cvs-dye-free-infants-pain-relief-liquid-cherry-prodid-858864 The service is a no hassle experience. Each visit, either at the counter or at the drive-thru, puts me, The Mom, me The Customer, first. I have been received with TLC for me as the parent and for concern for my children. Update: Just found out my prescription was shorted 14 pills. Are you kidding me??? If I could give 0 stars, I would. I just found out via my doctor that they straight LIED to me. I dropped my RX off yesterday around NOON. It is now almost NOON the next day. I was told all they had to do was call the doctor and verify the RX and they could fill it. I called this morning to follow up as I had stopped using this location for things like this but my primary CVS did not have enough to fill it. So when I called this morning, I was told they called the doctor and left a voicemail. Being that I do not trust this location one bit, I called my doctor to verify to which I was told they NEVER received a voicemail. My doctor happily took down the pharmacy number from me and said she would call right away. I am so livid I am trying to calm down before calling this pharmacy back to give them a piece of my mind. After this, I will either be using Smith's or Walmart. Sick of this. read more

Very fine CVS. Used to be better, but still pretty good. They have great sales, and fine merchandise. The staff is friendly and helpful. Lately, they have gotten a pretty weird clientele. I think a new apartment building may have opened. It has changed the policies in the store, as a result of the thefts that have occurred since. You have to ask for a basket at the front door now. But all in all, they still provide a decent service, and do a good job filling prescriptions. The pharmacy techs are pretty good at finding alternatives to save you money, too. A plus! read more

I honestly detest coming here and only choose this pharmacy because they are so close to where I work. Nine times out of ten, I have to wait a minimum of 30 minutes to pick up my prescription which is already filled. There goes my entire lunch break every single time. One time, they had an issue with their credit card machine and made me come back when the machine was fixed. Today, some other system is down. They just turned me away again telling me they don't know when it will be fixed. So if you want to be turned away half of the time and waste 30+ minutes of your time the other half, then this is the place to go. Otherwise, stay away. I did give them two additional stars because the ladies at the front registers are always pleasant and the tech named Liz is extremely friendly and thorough. CVS should give them a bonus or raise, because it's the only thing this location is doing right. read more

The cashiers who work here might be hopped up on painkillers or something. Extremely lethargic and very unhelpful when trying to locate an item. Instead of the usual hello greeting they say: "CVS Card"? Trying to get down the aisle to go to the pharmacy in the back but the entire aisle was taken up by a female clerk who was restocking shelves and had all the items in the way of foot traffic. When I said excuse me like 3 times, she finally turned around and just snarled at me. I think I heard the "Marge Simpson" groan or moan. Very weird indeed! Just trying to get by!!! read more

Worst pharmacy in town. The lady working was very rude, wouldn't answer my questions, she just kept repeating that the pharmacist was busy for 45 minutes and they'll help me then. I was very sick and just wanted to know if my prescription had been called in. I called my doctor and had it transferred to Walgreens and I will never go through cvs for medicine again. Also, the prices on the shelves never match their sales prices and I am constantly overcharged and the cashiers act like it's the customers responsibility to make sure things are all the right price. Worst pharmacist in town. Costco was out of the med and they tried to transfer it to this CVS at 815p. Cvs told them they were out of the medication and refused to take it. I raced back to costco after getting the VM from costco to transfer it somewhere else. I called this CVS to see if they had the rx. First they said they told costco no they wouldn't fill it cuz they were out, then cuz they were busy and closing at 9p. Then they told me they didn't have the prescription I had to argue with joe to check. He then tells me they have it but they won't even put in the system for me to get it somewhere else because they have 30 mins before they close. Then he yelled at me and told me he wouldn't put it in the system and that they don't have time they close in the mins. I stopped at the closest CVS to see if they can fill it because I have no clue if it's in stock or even available in the system. I call Joe back again and he again tells me he doesn't have time. Mind you he has spent 8 mins on the phone arguing with me this time and seven mins the time before. The pharmacy mgr at town center hears him on speaker phone and calls him. She has it in their system and transferred to them in about 3 mins. Mind you they also close at 9p and have a line of customers as well. They fill the rx and I am out the door at 901p! Joe should be fired or yelling at a customer four times, lying to costco Then to me, being argumentative, turning away revenue, and causing so much stress to a customer. If I could give zero I would. Avoid this location and go to the one at charleston and town center where they actually treat you like a human being and care about your health. Shame shame joe! read more

I feel bad that so many people have bad visits here. I'm posting my review more on the pharmacy than the store itself. I'll admit that I don't care much for the staff and checkout. There is always 1 person at a register when there is a line of people and no one ever comes up to help. I hate that. I really try not to buy anything here. I really like the pharmacy though. The employees are nice and they remember me and that makes me feel like it's my neighborhood pharmacy and not just a CVS chain. One girl there is super nice and efficient (I need to get her name) and she even calls me by by name and sometimes she calls me about prescription refill notifications. She rocks. read more

They are extremely rude and insensitive. They followed me around the entire store and once I noticed what they were doing I put everything I had in my hands back on the shelves and called my significant other to tell him how I felt I was being discriminated against because I'm the only person they kept harassing in the entire store! They try to play it off as "being friendly" but after the 10th time I said I didn't need any help I got suspicious. After I explained to my man on the phone that they think I'm stupid and don't realize that they were silently accusing me of stealing and my man just told me to take pictures of the things I want so that he could get them for me so I didn't have to deal with that type of unprofessionalism to which I replied that was fine and ended the call. After one of the employees was done listening to my phone call decided that she was going to tell another coworker what she heard and while I was taking pictures to send to my man they both came up to me and told me that I wasn't allowed to take pictures of any products they sell at their establishment so I said fine and started to walk towards the front door to leave. I felt as though they wanted to accuse me of stealing but didn't have any proof so they just decided to harass me the entire time and they had to ask their manager if they could ask me to empty my pockets (I didn't have any pockets just fyi) and when they couldn't they tried to block me from leaving but I wasn't going to deal with another second of their disgusting display of poor customer service, harassment, bullying, and discrimination and I will never step foot into a CVS ever again. I use CVS as my pharmacy but I will have my doctor send everything to Walgreens from now on. Walgreens employees are so professional, kind, and helpful and I've never dealt with even a fraction of the disrespect that I have at multiple different CVS establishments here in Las Vegas, NV! Just lost a valuable customer by hiring individuals of the geriatric community that take their sales associate/retail jobs, that are geared to be a stepping stone for young adults to gain experience, way too seriously like they are going to win the metal of honor for catching someone stealing! Just walked out of there at 430pm on a Saturday, waited in line to pay for a couple of items at least 8 people in front of me and only one cash register open. Both Latrisse in pharmacy and Cecila at the front counter were VERY nice and helpful and the store was exceedingly clean and organized!

Be very careful when you check out. Make sure all your coupons, rewards dollars, and discounts went through. I made the mistake for not checking while I was still at the store, even though I was surprised by the high amount. This was my first time using the CVS app on my smartphone and the less than enthusiastic cashier just wanted to get rid of me so I wasn't paying attention. Going back to the store today - I missed out on $11 dollars worth of savings. :/ read more

The store itself is great but the pharmacy is horrible!!!! They refused to fill my prescriptions twice because of the paper it was written on. When k was told that I had not other info, the pharmacies just walked away to finish her conversation with the other staff.The staff is lazy which is why they didn't want to fill it. I go in occasionally because it's on the way home. It is always very clean and cool inside. Today, Eddie greeted me at the door while he was running the cash register. He asked how he could help and he knew exactly where I could find the item I came in for. They did not have the item that I wanted and he apologized for the inconvenience. I have had my prescriptions filled here for over a year and am SO done with them; I thought maybe it was someone having a bad day, etc. NOT THE CASE! There is always a problem with my prescription; it is never ready on time (even though I set it up as automatic refill) or they don't call me to let me know it's ready and they are just plain rude. This last time I picked up, I told the lady AGAIN that this keeps happening (my birth control was not ready on time) and she had the nerve to tell me to call them 3 days before to make sure they get it ready in time - are you kidding me?? You want me to go out of my way to call you since you can't do your job properly?! Not happening. The only friendly pharmacist here is the lady with the European accent; everyone else is worthless. read more

I've been coming here for years, it's a pharmacy so I never had a whole lot to say. Over the past 2 years or so they had pretty regular staff that was friendly and helpful and fabulous. I came today and they had 4 people working, no one at the counter inside and i sat in the drice thru for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. And that was after I pressed the call button! I'm ok with waiting but not waiting without at the very least being acknowledged, it's rude, unprofessional and incredibly frustrating. It seems they have new staff and the regulars are gone, but the new folks need to get it together - at the very least smile as you continually walk past rather then ignore. read more

I have been stopping here for over a year now just picking up small things. I had a prescription transferred here and even though I was not feeling well the lady at the pharmacy counter asked me more questions then I have ever had asked but felt she did a good job. one thing I like here is when you walk in someone says hi or welcome except for last night. I walked in and the young man named John who is an assistant manager was on his phone and never acknowledged me. picked up what I needed went to counter John was at end of counter eating when he asked if I was ready. I said yes and he proceeded to check me out. he asked me for my birthday I was buying Roberson cough syrup which had never happened and then I asked him as a manager if he felt it was OK to be on cell phone and not greet guests. he apologized and then laughed it off. in this day with so many places to shop I would like to think you're more professional than that. read more
