Some employees are nice, some employees are bleeh. I like CVS, it allows me to use coupons and give me back Extra Buck, for buying certain items. Yes, it can be time-consuming, but I manage to get what I need for a lower cost than Target or elsewhere. Items here at regular price, meeh I don't usually buy them unless it is the alcohol. Which is on sale most of the time. It is overall a nice place to shop and get what I need in an instant because there are too many CVS on every corner. There is one particular employee here who is very nice, and he does a great job. I forgot his name but he wears glasses and there every time I take a visit. Then the other employees are kind of slow, the lines can get pretty long, and then there is only one cashier most of the time. There should be at least two when the lines get long. As far as organization, they should add ropes, so people are not standing in the way of other people trying to buy what they need. Always scan your card before shopping because it prints out coupons that can be useful. I mean I definitely plan my trip here carefully. I don't utilize their pharmacy: No comment. This facility is like a giant convenience store, they also sell clothes and shoes here. Parking is not bad, I like that they do the one parking spot, so you don't have to reverse, just drive straight out when leaving. It is a single serve spot and not across from other cars. It is conveniently located at the intersection of Hawthorne Blvd and Manhattan Beach Blvd. I would recommend this CVS. No bad experience here, but they don't like when you try to use multiple cards per one person. Even if the card belongs to a family member. They do not allow you to do that. Plan carefully and accordingly. This place does give cash Back.

Now y'all... let me brag on Chris over at Walgreens for a minute…read more As an event planner, I'm always creating something -- party favors, decorations, keepsakes -- and Walgreens Photos has become my little secret weapon. I'm in there all the time printing custom designs, running behind schedule, juggling ideas... just doing the most. And every single time, Chris is the one who brings the calm to my chaos. While I'm over here thinking about ten things at once, he's steady, patient, and cool as ever -- the kind of calm that makes you slow down and breathe a little. He doesn't rush you, doesn't make you feel like a bother, and he always makes sure whatever you're printing comes out right. In a world where good customer service feels like a disappearing art, Chris shows up with kindness, professionalism, and a whole lot of grace. Walgreens, hold on to that man. He's the reason folks like me keep coming back.

This pharmacy just provided me with the most unprofessional, disrespectful and disgusting customer…read moreservice experience of my life. The pharmacist has a nasty attitude and absolutely zero people skills. I was told my medication would be filled today and called to confirm. She scolded me for not knowing there was a shortage (even though I confirmed two days prior that they were be able to fill it). She spoke to me like I was absolutely deranged and crazy for expecting my medication to be filled on time. When I asked if I could get a partial refill, so I don't have to go without my medication (it's now the weekend and my doctor isn't in office to write a new prescription), she made me feel like an idiot for wasting her time when she could be counting the inventory. "I need time and I can't get started if you're still talking to me on this call". After 7 years of using this pharmacy, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had a very frustrating experience at CVS today involving an employee named Lynn…read more I was at the store picking up medication for my dog and also needed assistance getting an item from a locked skincare cabinet so I could check out everything together at the pharmacy. I waited in the aisle while the assistance bell was rung multiple times, at least four times, and no one came to help. Another employee eventually stopped and apologized, but explained that she did not have the key to open the cabinet. During this time, I could clearly see Lynn near the front of the store stocking shelves after she had already helped me earlier in my visit. I politely called out "Ma'am" multiple times to get her attention, and instead of approaching or even turning around, she responded from a distance with "What?" and "Yes, what do you need?" while still facing away from me. When she finally returned to the aisle, she initially asked which product I needed instead of simply opening the cabinet so I could look. The entire interaction felt dismissive, rude, and unnecessarily difficult for a customer who had already been waiting patiently while trying to pick up medication for their pet. I understand employees get busy, but basic professionalism and customer service still matter. I should not have had to repeatedly call for assistance after waiting several minutes with no response.

I happened across Rite Aid's El Segundo's Grand Ave. location because I couldn't find parking in the area to meet some friends next door at The Standard Station Sports Bar & Grill, and my Catholic guilt got the better of me. I always made it a habit whenever I parked at a business I initially had no intention of visiting, I would go inside and make a small purchase as a sort of "payment" for parking on their premises. Now that my conscience was cleared, I quickly reflected on the company's recent bankruptcy filing news. The company that took over Thrifty's decades ago was now on its seemingly last legs. I've had fond memories of both companies, so this visit was kind of bittersweet. Was I all right with this particular location before its demise!? PURCHASE Resse's Pretzels Miniature Cups 9.9oz Bag ($5.99): I was a fan of all the yummy sweets throughout the Reese's brand, so when I saw this in the nearly-empty Halloween candy section, I grabbed it because it sounded good and it was the last one so it looked sad there all by itself. Once I finally tore this bag open and shared it with my friends, each tiny cup was packed with crunchy pretzel pieces covered with smooth peanut butter and delectable chocolate. It was as good as expected - yummy! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=LVCD_bwXBXM5UDwLiU72KA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE Because I had no idea what I was going to purchase before I entered, there was no need for any customer assistance. As I whizzed through the store, I came to the candy aisle and my decision was made. I quickly went to the self-checkout counter, paid, and I was out the door in minutes. I saw one employee serving Thrifty's Ice Cream, one cashier, and one other employee stocking the shelves. All was good! PARKING (FREE) Located within the Grand Park Plaza, they were on their own standalone corner and had their own private lot with a ton of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A medium-sized building that was clean and organized inside with easy directions and labels for each section along with spacious aisles. The pharmacy was at the very back, the refrigerated and frozen coolers also along the back and side walls, the ice cream counter up front close to the registers, and a surprisingly assorted well-stocked liquor section. A decent amount of natural lighting came through the front glass windows and doors while plenty of soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights covered the rest. I didn't recall seeing any TVs but Top-40 music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=xxKABnVWyX0xms7iHFED6A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL El Segundo's Grand Ave. Rite Aid location was perfectly fine for my needs although probably wholly not theirs. On my quick casing of the joint, everything was kept clean, organized, and what you'd expect from any other Rite Aid if you've ever been in one. And, they still had Thrifty's Ice Cream, so buy it now while you could! Honestly, I had no idea how long this location would be around since the bankruptcy, so I wished them the best. The prices may be a touch higher due to convenience and economies, and you may not find all the brands out on the market but possibly lesser-known ones. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $6.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS
