Easy and quick grocery shopping. For the most part, the prices still seem reasonable considering the war Trump created. I love their cheese section; it's always eye catching. I stop into this Grocery Outlet since it's not far from home. I recently purchased their won ton skins and they're as good as any I've purchased at an Asian market. They also sometimes have higher end butters such as Kerri gold and President. Their deli ham is pretty good too. They have items that are close to expiration and can be a good deal if you plan to use them soon. Haven't found any need for alcohol, but they do have promotions at 20% off sometimes. Just a fair warning the place is getting a bit busier even during midweek before 3:00 PM so keep that in mind you may want to go early in the morning. Lines seem to be moving quicker in the checkout. As always hit and miss on deals in different . sections of the stores depending on what you're hoping to discover. Staff is always nice enough. Does get a little crowded in the aisles though as I mentioned before so keep that in mind with your cart and be courteous to others to step aside and let the speedy people through. This still might be OK to wear a mask if you hear coughing in the aisles like I did or avoid that aisle. Generally speaking, "Grocery Outlet : Bargain Market" sort of feels like supplemental source for grocery shopping. This location has most categories of staple food groups, meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy, as well as 2 rows of frozen foods and a whole lot of canned and packaged foods as well as toiletries and cleaning supplies and pet foods. However, the fresh meats are limited in variety as the main differential factor that makes this feel like a limited market. It's not a replacement nor rival to Vons, Albertson's, Ralph's, etc. that are bigger supermarkets, putting the "Super" into "Market" In a pinch, GOBM (Grocery Outlet Bargain Market) does the job, and better than many neighborhood markets or liquor stores (and they do sell liquor here too!), GOBM has competitive prices. In fact, they often carry distressed goods or test marketed items that are on closeout and/or near expiration (but watch out how close items are to expiring and often many items are past expiration dates or show signs of defect (like mold). Just look at what you buy. Their ice cream section was legendary for carrying cheap deserts and also if you're vegan and like oat milk and other variants of frozen desserts, GOBM carries a lot of stuff many mainstream families don't want which are generally expensive, but here they're really affordable and cheap. The staff here are nice and friendly and parking is easy. It's not as good as Albertson's which once here at this location (taking up the space of the adjacent CVS too), but it's better than the empty lot that once resided here for years and is "good enough" read more

Unfortunately, this store has changed a lot. Still some good brands, but a lot more off brands, and their own store brand Simply Go. Meh. So many more items are very near expiration date now. The good brands aren't even such a good deal anymore. I saw stuff today that was cheaper at Sprouts, and the Sprouts item had a long date... You pick up items and they are sticky or wet, and you have to point out liquid on the floor so that it gets cleaned up. If you have an American Express card, brace yourself for embarrassment and selective treatment! I attempted to buy over $200 worth of groceries, but the cashier humiliated me by saying they no longer accept Amex. He then suggested using another card as the only alternative, but since I only had my Amex at the time, he had to tell me they couldn't sell me the groceries. Don't carry a purse if it is a backpack purse or diaper bag- they make you leave and put it in your car if you want to shop- I understand if I were a homeless person or a teenager and they are afraid of theft but being I would go here regularly at least once a week for a few items- I will not be shopping here. This is obnoxious and rude- women carry backpack purses and it's absurd To ask them to leave their purse at the front of the store or in the car where it can be stolen- I have never been asked before and I will make sure all in the community know to avoid this place if the have young kids and need a diaper bag or carry a purse tha is in backpack form. This store came from a 5 star to a 1 star simply because they will not allow paying customers to use their restrooms. They recommend going to CVS. Which got 5 stars by the way BECAUSE they care enough about their customers to have the common decency and respect to allow customers to use the restroom. Senior citizens, especially older men with enlarged prostates, and women with weakened bladders love places that care more about them than how much money can you spend? It seems counterintuitive because I would have stayed longer had nature not come knocking on my door. Less time = less money spent. By the way, all the other GO's that I have visited except Long Beach allow customers to use the restroom. read more

I was wrongly accused of stealing in this store. Apparently if you look at an item from the shelf and put it back they automatically assume you stole something!!! I was accused at the till, when I went to pay for my items. Having price the shop assistant wrong since I hadn't stolen anything, I did not receive an apology from him for his false accusation. Having never stolen anything in my life I found this extremely offensive, bizarre and negative experience and will never go back! It was well over a year ago now, but I thought I should add my experience since reading that others have experienced similar at this store. I have been a customer service nice this branch opened. Today I was in need of the bathroom.. as I was passing I popped in to use the restroom. When I asked to for the code. I was rudely told by a very offensive older woman. That the public wasn't allowed to use their restrooms. I informed her politely that I am a customer. She snapped "NO" As a 72 year old old man.. sometimes I just need to go.... I mentioned o her that in California if a business has a restroom the public is allowed to use it. She replied " This is a private business " I assume she thinks that makes a difference? This store recently changed their policy to no restrooms, even for shoppers. They changed this policy so recently the signs are taped on with masking tape. Classy. Asked an employee who was exiting the bathroom for an exception for me to use the restroom as an emergency. Employee didn't feel she had enough humanity to make a decision herself. :/ I asked her to stay with me - it would take just 1 min. So employee didn't help me out and went to ask a female manager. As if I had the time to pontificate with them the tough decisions of what makes someone a good person. They both understood "emergency" and "exception" and my requests for them to consider "woman-to-woman". Ha, as if they cared. Again, no humanity. What an exchange with this manager! I sure hope the family owned business owners would think differently from these 2 women. I have met the owner and would like to hope she would make an exception in these circumstances. Never have I seen such lack of empathy or customer service. I'm in my 40s and both women were older - I would want my kids to make sound decisions as real people. Perhaps the motivation for no bathrooms is because the store has a homeless problem. Yikes. Treating everyone as the lowest common denominator should NOT be their new policy. Interesting store with a nice selection of healthy type of food and at check out, similar to Ralph's, was told that according to my register read at the end, I "saved" over 20 something. I noticed a cute little section for craft beers. Throughout the store layout, there were some interesting non-food merch as well. Would I come back? Sure. Would I make a special trip due to these savings? Probably not, but nice to have this store in the neighborhood. read more

Hi, I have a service animal that I brought into the store. He had a harness on that indicated what he was. Because he is extremely ill and unable to walk more than a few minutes, I put him in a low profile stroller. He just laid in the stroller and was quiet. I did my shopping by placing a small hand-held basket on top of the stroller. I had no issues until I checked out. 12/23/24 Redondo Beach Store #368 Cashier: Linda (Black woman, short hair, glasses) As Linda was running my groceries she looked down and saw my service animal and said, "Oh, you can't have a pet in here." I told her that he was not a pet but a service animal. Linda said, 'What condition do you have?" I said that is against the law to ask. (For instance, you cannot ask an individual with a service dog to demonstrate their service dog's skills, and you cannot ask about the specifics of their disability). Linda said according to ADA we can ask. I told her no, that is not true. Linda then looked over the counter again and said, "Is that all the groceries? Anything left in there?" So this cashier was now accusing me of theft. Keeping my composure I said, there is nothing left. She mentioned again about my service animal. I asked her what the problem was, that my dog is just laying there sleeping. We were also on our way out. Linda then called a Supervisor over to "Approve" my groceries? Linda informed the Supervisor of my service animal and said something under her breath. The supervisor just said okay and nodded, signed a form and left. Linda didn't say another word, just finished the transaction and packed my groceries. I said thank you twice while she was handing me my groceries. She said nothing back and turned to help the next customer. Linda was rude, unprofessional, insulting and borderline broke the law in regards to ADA laws. read more

I absolutely love Grocery Outlet! I discovered the store over a year ago when I lived in SJ at that time. When I visited fam in SoCal, I was so happy to find one here. Friendly employees, name brands at good prices, and unique items that change weekly! I'm lactose intolerant and they have a variety of non dairy items available- for example plant based creamers and vegan chocolate. Yes vegan chocolate, hooray! This is my go to grocery store! The prices can't be beat and it has really interesting products which vary daily- don't makes grocery shopping fun! The produce section goes up and down but the produce area always a solid amount of veggies which are fresh and ready for cooking. They have delicious strawberries, deep discount decent wines and liquor, seasonal products like fresh potted plants and a good health food product aisle. On my shopping day I stop here first and get all the good buys then go to another store for anything I missed. With today's prices it's a good feeling to have saved $80 dollars in one shopping trip! read more

This is the worst grocery store in the South Bay. The deli meats are always gray looking and disgusting, they don't remove expired food from the shelves in a timely manner. There is a woman who has red hair that is absolutely rude, and I believe she may own the business. I don't find her to be kind to customers at all. When they first opened the store was decent for a quick go to item. Now this place is honestly gross, I prefer to drive to Trader Joe's or even Vons in Hermosa even though I love very close to Grocery Outlet. This store has totally gone downhill, the parking lot is always filled with garbage. The last time I shopped here they had gray looking salami in their deli section, and that has turned me off, I understand this is a discount market but discount shouldn't equate to disgusting. read more

Grocery Outlet is a fun place to shop if you're not overly serious about what you get. You go for bargains, little finds, discounted items. If you're lucky, you might find some gluten free, organic items, grass fed steak, a good bottle of cheap wine, or probiotic drinks that are $5 more anywhere else. We go in search of great snacks, munchies, dried fruit, Amy's pizza, organic lettuce, berries, wild caught smoked salmon, organic chicken breasts, gluten free items (for my daughter), and if you're willing to grind your own beans, Starbucks coffee at a lower than average cost. I like the store and most of the employees are nice and I have to emphasize most of the employees but not all. I do not like their bathroom policy. I finally got a note from my doctor which they are forced to recognize. In the event they do not let me use the restroom they can be fined. Your store stocked it that way..I would have no reason to do that and would never! Whoever Nicki is that works there has some sort of little wo"man" syndrome or possibly taking a manager position way to serious! And it states right by the register the "you are entitled to the lowest advertised price or lowest price posted" Nicki didn't seem to get that! I discovered G.O. in Shasta in 2018 and so when we got one here I was all about it! This store has seriously bumped my beloved 99 to second position. Rare is the trip when item after item doesn't just catapult itself into the cart, and today was no exception. The only thing I went in for today was bread, then I left $50 lighter but thrilled at my finds. My favorite thing about G.O., after their fascinating product rotation and killer prices, is the music! I can't remember a trip where I didn't dance and/or sing. Any given visit: candles? Yep. Cheese? Please! A pretty plant? Oh yes. Artichoke bruschetta? That's bettah! Hit and miss. They have great deals on seafood, but quantity can be limited. They occasionally have Bolthouse Farms at a discounted price. Well stocked for milk and orange juice, produce, and meats. They have a wide selection of beauty products at slashed prices from Neutrogena to Olay and MyChelle products. Staff are very friendly and welcome you when you come into the store. I go here a few times a month, as it's the closest supermarket for me. Couple thoughts: 1) Food prices are fine. Quality is okay. I'd prefer Ralph's or Vons any day. 2) Makeup, soaps, little gifts, seasonal stuff can be a GREAT value. Grocery outlet is great for this. 3) staff has always been very friendly to me. Check out lines can move slowly. 4) I've never had to use the bathroom, but they really need to fix this problem. Put a coded lock on the door, have the receipts print out the code. My husband and I travel through out California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho and this store by far is the worst of all the markets we go to, not just the Grocery Outlet stores but all the markets we go to. We love the products they carry and understand the dense area this particular store is located in make keeping the shelves stocked challenging. The majority of the staff are nice and helpful but the attitude of management stinks! This is the closest Grocery Outlet to our home and is a minimum 30 minute drive. This store refuses to open its restrooms to its customers, the public is one thing, but it's customers is really inappropriate. When I entered the store yesterday after a 30 minute drive and asked for the customer restroom their response was they do not have a "public " given with a nasty attitude. I explained I was a customer and they sent me next door to CVS where I had to wait for the 1 floor person to open the door because they were on break. I find it really rude to burden another business with a restroom request. The area to the restroom for this store is posted with hand scribbled signs attached to movable shelves that say "employees only "and "no public restrooms",the last time we were there another sign was posted saying "those passing the shelves will be permanently banned from the stores". While checking out the cashier tried to call one of the Owners of the store so I could speak with them about the restroom. Instead the Manager came forward and only supplied a list or poor responses including; the restrooms have been closed since Covid and we don't legally have to have the restrooms open. I explained I am customer not the public and she just really didn't seem to care that I just spent $175 at this store and they resume to let me use the restroom. This store needs to find a better experienced and customer oriented store manager and open the restrooms. read more

Decent discount store for groceries and some small everyday goods. Better check the quality and the expirations but hey they are mostly good! Had some good finds for snacks and basic groceries. They also have some healthy snacks and superfood powder and stuff so it may be a good introduction to a new kind of food. Parking is easy as it is a big shared lot with CVS. read more

A good place to buy food as it is reasonably priced. However you cannot use a restroom here. I was told there are no public restrooms. And the tone of the women's voices were not pleasant either. I explained I was purchasing food. This didn't even faze them. Finally left and used the CVS pharmacy restroom next door. The ladies in there knew I had to go badly as they could tell and immediately opened the restroom. Many thanks to these kind ladies. Now this is real shame here. I would say either don't shop there or make sure you can hold your pee. Unbelievable. read more
