This was my first time ordering from Organico, and I had no idea it wasn't a traditional restaurant. When I arrived for pickup, I found a room full of lockers and a small service window. As someone who isn't particularly tech-savvy, I was pretty confused at first. Eventually, I watched another customer open a locker and retrieve their food, and everything started to make sense. I received a text with instructions to open a locker and collect my order. Before leaving, I checked the receipt stapled to the bag--thankfully I did! It wasn't my name and wasn't the food I ordered. I went back inside and tried to get someone's attention at the service window, which took a little while. A friendly employee attempted to locate my order but couldn't find it, so he called over another staff member, who I assume was a manager. Unfortunately, the interaction wasn't as pleasant. He repeatedly asked for my name, even after I had provided it several times, and eventually informed me--somewhat abruptly--that another delivery driver had taken my order and that I needed to contact "the company I worked for." After clarifying that I wasn't a delivery driver and had ordered the food for myself, his tone changed. He contacted Organico, and they agreed to remake my meal. My pickup time was supposed to be 1:00 PM, but my replacement order wasn't ready until about 1:35 PM. As for the food, I ordered the tuna salad. I love beets and was excited about the combination. The salad was good overall, but the flavor profile wasn't what I expected. There was a very tart, vinegary element that caught me off guard. The brussels sprouts tasted more pickled than caramelized, which wasn't my preference. I'm not sure if that was intentional or if the remake affected the preparation, but the vinegar flavor was quite strong. I also ordered the iced salted caramel latte. It was okay--not particularly memorable--but the double shot of espresso definitely helped me get through the rest of my workday. Overall, the food was decent, but the pickup experience was confusing and frustrating enough that it overshadowed the meal. read more

I ordered takeout and it is the satellite kitchen that is shared amongst a few other restaurants. You check in on the iPad upon arrival and pick up from the locker that opens. The ambiance is very much pick up and go; it is a hotspot for Uber Eats and food delivery drivers. I was grateful they picked up the phone upon me calling them to ask about food allergies. They followed through the instructions carefully and packaged it well. However, the portion sizes were quite different for the same order. One was about half the size of the other despite them being the same type of dish - Make Your Own bowl. The food was delicious regardless but definitely would have appreciated equal amounts of food for both boxes. It felt sad to see one only half as full as the other. read more

Postmates order came in less than 20 minutes. Everything fresh and made to order. Only thing that was a a little strange is that I called to make a pickup order and they told me to order in Postmates because they pricing was cheaper. Organico isn't a typical restaurant. There are no visible people to interact with, only a ipad-style screen. Once you find your order via touch screen a locker automatically opens with your packaged meal ready inside. This establishment is takeout only. Everything went well for a first visit. That said, I prefer seeing a person behind the counter. I removed a star because outside of the business is iffy. I wouldn't visit this location after dark alone, as a woman. I think this place has strong potential!! I didn't love my meal but it was largely user error. I built my own wrap. First, I thought the gluten free wrap was a Tortilla with collard greens in it but it was literally a collard leaf. Which was good!! But I would've gotten more substance in the wrap, like sweet potatoes if I'd known. I also forgot to add avocado. Tofu was good tho! My friend enjoyed his bowl! I would def try again!! PS got this on Uber eats so can't comment on dine-in experience. But they did include stickers and packaging was somewhat eco friendly (not compostable but not styrofoam or gross plastic). It's a good thing I don't live in LA because I'm sure I would buy lunch here every day. on the second to last day of my vacation out in LA after eating out every day I was feeling honestly a little like death so I decided to Uber eats some thing with vegetables. The bowl that I made at Orgánico is what dreams are made of. The green smoothie was good but not excellent but that might just be due to how I customized it. Everything tasted fresh, and the chimichurri dressing was delicious. I was full for hours! I also appreciate how sustainable the packaging is, and it even came with a pack of organic gummy bears. Waited over an hour for my Uber order today. Took my entire break. Had to argue with Uber to cancel. How does a breakfast sandwich take 50 minutes to produce?! Driver was sitting at the store "picking up" for over 20 minutes. Ridiculous. Uber said 25 minutes, took them 50 minutes for the driver to finally leave the store. Won't be going back. I stopped at this location thinking it would be as nice as the Organico on Sawtelle in West L.A. my gosh was I wrong. Prior to going. I was thinking how nice it would be. When I am on the south side of town. Having a healthy place to eat later at night. I tried to pre order on my phone. No luck. Getting to the location. The parking wasn't easy. There was no sign above that said Organico. Nothing on the door about Organico either. I was turned off by the appearance of this location. It looked dirty and not cared about, after entering. I would never want to sit in the odd make shift seated area to eat. After seeing it. I should have walked out. They have a bunch of completely different places to eat menus scattered everywhere. Plus, places that are not even food related out too. It was very confusing how to order. There were two nailed to the wall tablets. One was a broken screen dead unit. I started to try my order again on the other tablet. I couldn't get that working either. Another guy came in and started using it with success. I asked him what the deal was. He said it was for Drivers of Grub Hub etc. I had to try the cut out plexy window. I had to call out to get someone to come to take my order. The person that helped me. Was so lack luster. Very dull acting. I finally ordered. I ordered the breakfast box. I took my food home. It was about 11pm. I was super hungry. Opened the box. It was very visually disappointing. It was a slop box for a dog to eat. When I had a dog for 17 years. He sit much better. The bacon was translucent looking. Very under cooked. The eggs were like rubber. Over cooked. Onions over cooked super greasy Nothing had any flavor or salt. No flavor. I will post what it looked like. Nothing like the other locations food looks like. Ordered a custom bowl with black beans, sweet potato, chicken, cheese, tomato, cilantro and corn with sour cream on the side for my one year old, tuna salad for me and fried chicken wrap for my four year old and husband to share (next time I will ask for spiciness on the side). Vegetables are clearly very fresh, chicken was delicious, seasoning was perfect. If you someone like me, who follows an auto-immune protocol this place is a total gem, since you can customize pretty much everything the serve. Also they give you a compostable cutlery which amazing to see and I got an organic lollipop and gummy bears with my order, so sweet.
