This CVS pharmacy has the absolute worst customer service. Let's just say I will no longer using this pharmacy. Always a long line, always an issue with my meds (which are the same every month), employees are always rude and the place is plain hectic. Last time I reviewed this place, I said I felt sorry for the pharmacist because they seem overworked. CVS fixed that by closing the pharmacy from 1:30 - 2pm. But there was no sign on the front door saying they reopen at 2pm. There is a small sign at the pharmacy, but you can only see it after they open the barrier closing the pharmacy area. Not exactly helpful. Don't see anything on the website about this. Not saying it's wrong - just don't surprise people. read more

This location is in the midst of a busy shopping mall& the actual cvs store is one of their older style smaller ones. The pharmacy itself is by far the best though solely due to staffing. Kathy and Brandon are two of the most brilliant, compassionate & caring pharmacists I've ever encountered! Countless times they've caught mistakes prescribing physicians have made and have went far out of their way to ensure our families health and safety! I can't speak about the store, but this pharmacy deserves 0 stars!! I seem to keep encountering the same female employee who seems to be completely incompetent and EXTREMELY rude. On 2 occasions now, she has given incorrect information which holds up the process (obviously). This is a medication that NEEDS to be picked up the day it's called in, and the lack of urgency on their part is disheartening. Usually, I spend at least 30 minutes in the drive-thru to pick up medications. With that being said, I have started going inside to pick up the medications and that seems to take less time. If you need to speak with pharmacy staff, be prepared to dedicate at least 20-25 minutes of your time to being on hold. It is so frustrating dealing with this pharmacy!!!! I have to continue to use this pharmacy because insurance, but if you're able to use a different pharmacy - DO IT!!! read more

Two pharmacies in Purcellville repeatedly sent me notifications that a new asthma prescription for me was out of stock but would be in stock the next day. The next day came, and still neither could fill the prescription and my symptoms were only getting worse. Neither pharmacy would even answer their phones. I finally called CVS (Market Street, Leesburg). First, I love that one can leave a VM message and the pharmacist calls or texts back a reply within a few minutes (less than 5 minutes for me this time!). Second, the pharmacist was able to immediately tell me she had the medicine in stock. Third, she understood that I was having trouble breathing and got the prescription transferred from 1 of the other pharmacies. Fourth, she had it ready for me to pick up by the time I arrived 10 minutes later. I arrived 1 minute before closing: Thank you, CVS Market Street, Leesburg for not closing 1 minute early because we drove the usually 15 minute drive in 10 minutes! Oh Pharmacist...please do not think because my nose isn't running, I'm not coughing my head off or have other symptoms you can't readily notice that I'm not in need of my RX stat! Perhaps better to keep your thoughts to yourself than say out loud that my prescription will take an hour to make way for "really sick" people! So, I leave to give you time to fill my prescription and come back 1/2 hr later and sit in the pharmacy waiting area, among the empty chairs....patiently (on the outside, seething on the inside) when the check out gal asks my name.... She goes to see if its ready, then the pharmacist asks if anyone has completed it...a rousing NO can be heard from behind the counter. So I wait some more. Let's see, 2 people came in while I was there, 3 phone calls came in while I was there (you can hear them announced) and at 49 minutes of waiting time they finally called my name. I was not a happy camper I can tell you that.....so here's a 2-star for you CVS Pharmacy - one for having the medication I needed, and 1 being open! read more

The store manager hung up on me after being in the phone queue for 30 minutes to schedule a vaccine appointment. When I finally got on the line with a living breathing person in the pharmacy, she wasn't helpful at all. She could not schedule an appointment nor was she able to provide sufficient walk-in information; however kept recommending walk-in method. Who thought it was a good idea entrusting CVS with vaccine distribution? 0 out of 10 don't recommend; just like the County Health Department. read more

I ordered photo prints yesterday, for pickup at noon today. I arrived at 2, and the woman gave me a blank look and said the machine wasn't working due to a paper jam. She asked if I could print from my phone to a kiosk, but I had edited and sent them from my home computer. I asked whether she could send them to the kiosk, since they were already in their system, and she said no. No explanation, no apology that I drove over there for nothing, no comment. This is entirely consistent with every other experience I've ever had at this sad, inefficient, and bleak location. I went to Walgreens and they efficiently filled the order with high quality in no time flat. read more

I have had very negative experiences with this CVS. (E. Market St), It's the Pharmacist herself. I've been hung up on, more than once, she's been demeaning and rude on every encounter I've had with her. Like others who've left reviews here, I've experienced similar issues about her attitude...even about being in line at 1:15, that was "to close to lunch time to handle my prescription pick-up." If my insurance company had other pharmacy contracts I'd change. Prescriptions and medical issues aren't like placing a food order, some are matters of emergencies or even life or death. I'm very disappointed in her particularly. I do hope you have a better experience than many of us. read more

HORRIBLE AND POTENTIALLY LAW BREAKING. I've had my fair share of terrible pharmacy experiences, but this is one of the worst :/ I live in Charlottesville most of the year and the local CVS there is great. Then, I come home for a month and have to go to this CVS, which is an actual living hellhole. I dropped off my prescriptions at noon and they said it'd be ready before 1 pm. Something came up and I couldn't make it back until 7... but it still wasn't ready. The girl helping me said "oh yeah we forgot yours." I begrudgingly wait (because I need my meds) and when I get them, they didn't even fill it correctly. My doctor wrote a very specific prescription for how many doses to dispense, and they ignored it, even though I circled it and made sure they were aware of it. When I asked to speak to the pharmacist, she didn't even come to the consultation window, she stood behind one of the shelves and had my yell back to her what I needed to say. At one point, she asked me to confirm my birthdate, which she proceeded to loudly share, as well as the medicine name... so much for HIPAA, i guess? When I said I wasn't comfortable shouting my medical history for the whole store to here, she dramatically sighed and rolled her eyes as if I was inconveniencing her, then sent over this other pharm tech named Bihn. Bihn has a special place in hell. Bihn waltzed over and decided that his 2 week training on how to count pills gave him the authority to tell me what my doctor was supposed to prescribe, how I was supposed to be taking my medicine, and when I was supposed to be taking it. Keep in mind, he wasn't even a pharmacist. Of course, none of what he said actually lines up with my treatment plan. I've been taking this medicine long term for a chronic illness (which all of CVS now knows because the staff shouted to me about it out of pure laziness) and our good friend Bihn decides that he knows my body and health better than both my doctor and myself. In the end, they refused to fill the prescription how to doctor wrote it to be filled. Stay away from this CVS; they're unprofessional, breaking the law on the down low (re: HIPAA), condescending, lazy, late, forgetful, and rude. read more

There are never enough staff, long lines, one time I waited on hold for 45 minutes- took a screenshot on my phone and went to the store to show store manager- she agreed there were staffing issues. I've asked several times to have my monthly prescriptions transferred to another CVS but never happens. I suggest going to a different location. read more

The Pharmacy is the worst I have ever used. Staff is untrained. They give you a piece of information only to to change it when they have failed to perform their duties. They have caused my elderly mother to have to visit the emergency room due to failure to have meds filled on time. I have used them for 3 months and all 3 months they were late. I give them a 1 because I can't give anything less! This pharmacy is horrible. They do not go the extra step to provide any customer service. I have had bad experiences with them before but because of their location I went back hoping it would be different. They waited for me to come in (several days after I dropped off my prescription) to tell me (incorrectly) that it wasn't covered by insurance. I had to call my insurance twice and finally sat silently on the line while my insurance called the pharmacy. I heard the pharmacy get schooled on how they were filing it under the incorrect code. This mistake was the difference between $50 and $800. The pharmacy called and told me they finally got authorization from my insurance company! They are rude. They lied. They could care less. They make taking the extra time to drive a little farther worth it. Do yourself a favor and go any where else but here! read more

I ordered prints early this morning. Pick up time was for 12:30 same day. I ordered simple photos that were same day printing. I arrive at 4:30. 4 hours after my set pick up time and the prints were not ready. I do not recommended using this location for photo printing services they do not seem organized and you will not get your photos on time. They will also NOT apologize or call you if your printing has been delayed. read more

Lines in both the drop off and pick up lines, and then the pick up lady tells me I have to go wait in the other line because she can't help me. This CVS is dreadful. For the past 35 minutes I've been waiting at "drop off" to get 2 prescriptions that I desperately need filled. 2 workers came over and did things on the computer where I'm standing but neither acknowledged me...though they obviously saw me standing here with my prescriptions in front of me on the counter. They are terribly understaffed, which is almost always the case at this pharmacy. A voice keeps coming over the loudspeaker saying "5 pharmacy calls," then "6 pharmacy calls," then "4 pharmacy calls," etc. No one is actually answering any phones so callers are obviously just giving up and hanging up. The staff are completely ignoring the phones. There is a line of 8 people waiting to pick up their prescriptions at the pharmacy's "pick up" register. No one is working the register and folks seem annoyed. The only people receiving service are those coming through the drive thru. So, I guess I should have gone through the drive thru to drop my prescriptions off. Also, NEVER use the women's restroom at this CVS! I swear it's never cleaned. I'm tired of waiting. I guess I'll go outside and get in the drive thru lane. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I could ever imagine. I have a chronic illness. None of the medications I take are considered controlled substances. Let me start at the beginning. a.) I tried to sign up for automatic refills. I don't know if it was the computer or human error, but they would be WAY off, like one medication (for 30 days) would be getting refilled every 2 weeks, and one would take 2 months or more to be filled. b.) I tried to talk to the pharmacist about maybe giving me a partially filled script, so I would only have to come in every 30 days, instead of 4-5 times a month. The pharmacist said that it wouldn't be possible, but maybe I should skip a few days of some certain meds to make it even out. WHAT. c.) Their hours suck. d.) THIS WAS THE FINAL STRAW. I was having surgery, and I had pain medications. Like an idiot, I didn't count them out in the store. Well, after a day or two, I noticed I was 5 pills short. I called them, explained that they had shorted me, and I wanted the medication that my doctor prescribed, and the medication I payed for. The pharmacist said that the quantity in the book matched the quantity they had in stock. When I asked what exact quantity they wrote down, she said she couldn't tell me. THEN she had the nerve to tell me that "Maybe someone in my house hold stole them." Yes, because my DOG ROOMMATE is more likely to open the bottle and steal 5 pills, than one of those random people that check me out. I wonder if they drug test their employees.... read more

I'll usually stop at this CVS when in need of beauty products on my way home from work. The staff (and even some of there reg customers, lol) have seen me here so often they already know me; what I'm interested in buying and fill me in on any sales ;) However one time they told me a product was on sale even though they didn't have a sign up for it yet, but then it didn't ring up on sale. Some of the cashiers are hit or miss... bad breathe, nosey, slow... I just wanna check out and go home, heh. read more

Just sat in the drive through for 35 minutes. So frustrating. Just for a pick-up. Makes us want to change locations. And we just may. Drive through is for easy quick service. But it is not. We waited 10 minutes for them to come to the window after we pulled up. Even if we went in there would have been a serious wait. It's a no win here. Many of the employees in the pharmacy seem pleasant but I think there is one that is gruff and makes it appear that they are not pleasant. It's unfortunate. She is a hard worker as I've observed. But the wait time overall ruins it I believe for us and everyone. We all want to get in and out. read more

Pharmacy: On the phone, I was placed on hold several times over 35 minutes. They asked my date of birth seven times, then told me I had two accounts with no prescription to pick up. When my dr then called again, they told him it was there and ready for pickup! Then, when I got there it was not ready! Then, I sat waiting 30 more minutes with 3 at the pharmacy counter and no other customers ( but one flu shot) just for them to change my address and find out when they would get my medication! Not impressed with any CVS these days, but this was bad. read more

I was in this CVS today and I lost my keys. I am from out of town and was driving my sons car. We searched and searched the aisles I had been in but to no avail. The associate at the counter, Hakim, could not have been more helpful. He walked the aisles with us and even searched the trash can outside the store where I had thrown a piece of paper. As I was waiting for a friend to bring the spare set, Jacob, another employee came out with my keys. Someone had found them on the floor and put them on the cereal shelf instead of turning them into the register. These employees should be commended for their helpfulness and kindness. read more

Market St. CVS seems to hire very kind workers. It feels like the management at this particular location values customer service and it shows. It's clean and organized with good lighting. I was having symptoms of COVID and the site to register for an appointment gave all possible times for an appointment. It didn't take the filled time slots off the page, so you select your time slot, fill out the form and hope for the best. It took me eight tries to get the appointment. It was like talking to someone and asking for an appointment and them telling you they are wide open, except for every time slot you pick. Well, I finally got an appointment the next day. Initially the estimate was 2-4 days for results. That's acceptable. Then it went to 5-7 days for results, "guaranteed". Not quite as acceptable, but I need this done so go for it. I'm on day 8 and after talking with the CSR on the phone this morning came out with a "we will get the results to you when we feel like it." On their site they ask if you work in emergency services and while talking with the CSR she was surprised and stated she would make my results a priority. A priority for what, being late? Meanwhile I get to sit at home not doing anything and not helping anybody, because this company can't get their act together. read more

They never answer their phones, lines are always over a 30 minute to hour or more wait, they never have anything adequately stocked and staff training has clearly not been made a priority.
