The pharmacy team at our CVS is Top Notch! They help keep the doctors and insurance in line and provide our medications on time!

If I could give this pharmacy ZERO stars, I absolutely would. After multiple unacceptable experiences, I am done making excuses for this location. The repeated lack of professionalism, accountability, urgency, and basic customer service is unacceptable--especially for a business responsible for dispensing people's medications. About a week ago, I received a text stating my prescriptions were ready for pickup, so I sent my husband to get them. When he arrived, employees could not locate them. After finally finding them, they made him wait an additional 20 minutes. He spent approximately 40 minutes waiting for medication that I had already been notified was ready. The next day, I called and spoke with the pharmacy manager, Carlo. He acknowledged that his staff had texted him about the incident, yet repeatedly said he "didn't know all the details." If management was already notified about a serious customer-service issue, why wasn't it investigated before speaking with me? I received no meaningful explanation or resolution. I contacted corporate afterward and have yet to receive a response. Unfortunately, this past Saturday I had another unacceptable experience. I returned to pick up my prescriptions and signed in. A customer who arrived after me completed his transaction and left before me. The female employee assisting me retrieved my prescriptions, placed them on the counter, and then walked away without completing my transaction. I actually had to ask, "Excuse me, am I done yet?" While she was away, the pharmacy's system went down. Had she completed my transaction instead of walking away, I likely would have been finished. I was then told there was nothing they could do and that I would not receive my medication because the pharmacy was closing in approximately 20 minutes. I explained that my medication dosage is adjusted weekly and I cannot simply miss a scheduled dose. When I asked the employee to contact the appropriate help desk or corporate support, I was told I could call myself. It is NOT the customer's responsibility to troubleshoot a pharmacy's internal computer system when it prevents them from receiving medication. The store manager on duty was eventually involved. When I asked for her name, she covered her name tag and refused to identify herself. I found that extremely unprofessional and concerning for someone in a management position. Thankfully, Ms. Yolanda contacted Store Manager Clarence by phone. Clarence was professional, concerned, and actually listened. I told him I would be transferring all of my prescriptions to Walgreens. He stated that he would be speaking with the district manager. This is no longer one bad experience--it is a pattern of poor service, lack of accountability, and disregard for customers who depend on their medications. I have already filed a corporate complaint and will be speaking with the district manager. I will update this review afterward. I have completely lost confidence in this pharmacy. I am transferring my prescriptions and will not return to this location. read more

Love coming to this cvs, its a walk away from home and they always have what I need, staff is very helpful and makes me feel welcomed all the time when I come in. Store looks clean and always improving. Clearance is helpful when it comes items I need or need to order. 5 star to the staff read more

Had a package delivered here for pickup since they close at 10pm. I arrived at 9:30 and the guard is there doors locked. I told him I have a package for pickup and he says closed. Sir it's 9:30 it doesn't close until 10. A cashier comes over and gets my info kindly enough but the other cashier shorter ponytail guy starts yelling they get in trouble if they aren't out by 10. Surely this store is preparing to close? It's so incredibly dirty- from the parking lot to the interior. Ewww! How can this store be anything health related? I came for a vaccine and almost didn't. Truly almost canceled. On my way out, I went to the makeup section because I needed some mascara. There were sooooo few selections, I just left. The local families deserve better. Clean this place up and stock it properly. If you're worried about theft, secure the products. But this is the poorest excuse for a CVS that I've ever seen. read more

Give this CVS a break and cut them some slack! It's not their fault that they are located in a sketch area. Someone has to provide services here. The store cannot control what goes on in the parking lot after hours when it gets junked up (ie car club meetings and vagrants)! This became my home pharmacy. The location yes looks scary, there is trash everywhere but the pharmacy employees do a great job. I have not had a bad experience. They are fast and friendly. If you have any kind of trouble with your prescription they will help you as much as they can. read more

I have to give CVS a hat soft for doing really well at customer service, keeping their store very clean, and being as helpful as possible. The real genius and being a CVS employee isn't just checking people out but knowing where everything in the stories these stores offer such a Vasteree products where else can you go get gummy worms, a half case of Coca-Cola, hair coloring, and various items for personal hygiene? In addition to puzzles and toys? These people are straight up scientists when it comes to knowing where everything is located and the store is a golden example. It's in the cashier did a great job and made my life a lot easier and if you have employees like this? You're always going to have a lot of customers. read more

CVS may not have a boggle deal but the guy at the cash register. He was super excellent.

I can't complain about the service I have never had a problem with the employees to work there. Always very friendly and willing to help. My issue is with the parking lot and the inside of the store. I have been going to the one on the limo in Paramount until it closed and now use the one on Lakewood boulevard. And it's a little more inconvenient any further away but they typically have what I need and is much cleaner. I have not been into the Atlantic CVS for quite some time and went in today it was a huge mess lots of empty shelves was not able to get everything I needed. I just paid for one item and we'll go somewhere else. Honestly and unfortunately I think this CVS is doomed for closure it seems there is no effort to keep it cleaned and stocked. Not sure who is to blame for letting it for letting it fall into such a state. read more

Darnell and the female staff with the long pretty eyelashes (sorry dunno her name) are the best. I had a super complicated price adjustment/ return and they took as much time as needed and used every avenue possible to help me make sure it got done and left me satisfied while still always following all company protocols. As a business owner myself I would be VERY LUCKY to have staff like them work for me as well as everyone from the security to the sales associates who work there considering it's the cleanest CVS I've ever been to in an area that can be rough at times, but it still looks inside like it's a CVS in downtown Beverly Hills. Worst experience ever! I went with my two-year-old son, in my arms holding some things that were around $40, I stood in line with almost 6 people in front of me, until I arrived and I wanted to pay with a $100 bill and they told me that they were not going to accept it, I told them where the sign was that said they do not accept and it was at the same register. I wasted my time, my patience, how would I know that they didn't accept 100 bills if they didn't have a big sign? I couldn't grab things for my son because of this stup$& policy. read more

I am disappointed but I am also angry at myself. I lost my temper with what appeared to be the manager at this CVS, her name is Lavenya. After reading all the available reviews for this Cvs, I realized no one is monitoring this yelp site. It has poor ratings and this is sad. During this COVID 19 time, it is an essential service One of the functions of yelp is to let the public know how well or how bad a restaurant, retail store, product is for the public. I will not get into why I lost my temper with Lavenya however a young store clerk did help me. His name is Darnell and he was a perfect gentleman. His parents must have raised him right! I had a 7pm appointment for a Covid vaccine today, 9/25/23 at this CVS location 6000 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach. I checked in, waited for 15 minutes and they completely ignored me. What's the point of making an appointment? I said I was leaving because my dog was outside waiting for me. I left without getting the vaccine. People build up the courage to get the vaccine and they completely ignore them. The worst customer service I have received at this CVS. read more

I love the drive thru pharmacy and you can even ask for other things through the drive thru and get things from there. It's very rare to have a drive thru pharmacy so I took advantage of that! They are nice too but sometimes are busy and can be a little much. Anyways they text me when my pharmacy prescription is ready to be picked up. read more

This is by far the worst CVS Pharmacy... horrible customer service very inconsistent. In addition to that the Guard is just hanging out on his cell phone by the register not really paying any attention to anything but his Mobile device. Parking lot is full of trash/furniture it's really disappointing that no one is upper management is taking ownership with the appearance at this store. I understand this location is in a (Rural Area) but something has to change fast. As I sit here and write this review they are filling my moms last prescription. I have given them several opportunities to make things right. 1st problem lack of notification: If they do not have inventory or for some reason cannot fill a prescription they need to tell the customer, not make them wait in wonder. 2nd problem lack of inventory: The doctor sent in a prescription on Wednesday for steroids that my mom was suppose to take before her Chemotherapy session on Friday and we did not get them until Saturday!! Big Fail!! 3rd problem lack of knowledge Me: what refills do we have available? Pharm tech: I do not know how to say it, do you want me to spell it. Me: okay what is it for? Pharm tech: uhmmmm I'm not sure. Me: well okay then, I'll find out when I pick up. This is not an isolated incident. It seems like all of their pharm techs can use a bit a bit more knowledge. 4th Problem: They are rude!! I have not encountered rudeness until this morning, but I am adding this in because it was the manager who was rude!! I understand dealing with the public is hard, but I was asking a simple question and she did not communicate her dilemma properly which caused the malfunction in her customer service and our conversation. The receipt I received said my cashier was Edward. He was using the word "Gay" as a slur of his fellow employees--repeatedly yelling it across the store in front of customers. When I politely told him to refrain from his childish talk, he called me Gay. He's not a bright man and most-likely a lifelong unattractive virgin but the fault here lies completely with CVS for their continuing issues with hiring low-quality employees who seem to have ZERO training in dealing with the public! read more

Pretty convinced this is the world's worst CVS. About two weeks ago, I dropped off a prescription and the pharmacy technician told me it would be about a four hour wait. Not a problem, things are crazy, I get it. They have a sign in their windows, saying due to COVID-19, the store hours are modified, from 9am-9pm. At 8:45pm, I get my text letting me know that my prescription is ready for pick up. I really needed it, so I get myself together and drive to get it, only to discover the window is closed along with the store. Mind you, I have pneumonia and didn't need to be out. Flash forward to the next morning, store hours say they're open at 9am. I head over, and guess what? The pharmacy is CLOSED. I go inside, and ask what the issue is, and let them know their sign is misleading. The cashier didn't care and told me they open at 10am because it's Saturday. Go home and ANOTHER HOUR PASSES by, and I head back. I finally see someone, and when I brought up my frustration about their sign, it fell on deaf ears. Flash to a couple days ago. Now my husband is sick, and we need to get a few household supplies. I know these are in demand, and I have expectations knowing it might be hard to find supplies. On Monday, I asked when they would be getting Lysol and TP. Told me Wednesday morning they would be getting a shipment in. I head over, and walk to the aisle. Nothing on the shelves. I ask the cashier, when the items will be out. She said not until this (Wednesday) evening. Fine. I return. Nothing. I ask AGAIN, and she said to come back Thursday morning. We come by AGAIN...! Only to discover they're out, and they had a BUY ONE GET ONE 50% off for these items! Why would you do that in times like this? People can't get one can of Lysol, so you'll allow others to get multiple? CVS has lost my business, and my respect. Nothing but plain corporate greed and a horribly managed store. read more

Employee was making a big deal because my daughter is not wearing a mask when children UNDER 2 are not to required to wear a mask according to CDC. I just wanted to say that I came into this CVS location today to get a soda and I was pleasantly surprised to see the positive changes made to the store. It was very clean and the aisles were not cluttered. The shelves were well stocked. I don't know if this is just a fluke so I didn't give the full five stars. I hope this CVS location stays this way. For one, I rode my bike but there is no place to lock it up, i drove my bike home and walked back craving some ice cream, the freezer is full of ice cream gone bad, no one knows when they are removing it and re stocking it. So that idea is out, I was kind of disgusted at the way over grown sidewalk, so over grown, its about 12 inches of space between the two sides of the sidewalk. On Dec 2018 I went back again,,, the pharmacist customer service was -0 . The worse Cvs pharmacy I ever been, I don't want to give even 1 star ,is there a 0 star??
