the inside of a grocery store

It's clean, nice and large, with bright colors, wide aisles, great prices, and excellent recurring sales, even the parking is doable. The produce is fresh and the staff is friendly and helpful. Check-out is a breeze. Using the app gets you extra savings.

This place has gone down hill so bad!! These last view times I've noticed rotten fruit and veggies, and so many out of stock items. But this last time all the meat was questionable! Chicken had clogs of brown stuff in the bag, salmon had gray fungus and all the ham, wennies were green! When I told a cashier she said "ok thanks" didn't even care.

    Receipt being double charged

Came in to buy 3 watermelons that's on sale. Went through the check out without having to wait long for an evening crowd. I bought 3 watermelons but now looking at my receipt I was double charged for the last one. $1.95 might not be a lot but in this high inflation times every dollar counts which was my reason to shop here. For me to drive back just to get $1.95 back is equivalent to the gas spent driving there and back. My cashier's name on the receipt shows Lilly G. To be fair I noticed once the lady was done ringing me up, the cashier came back from her break, which leads me to believe the person who made this mistake was some sort of Lead/Supervisor covering a break. Hopefully the person who made this mistake with me was correctly logged in. And the correct person is held responsible for this. I'll have to reconsider shopping here again as this place has always been my go to grocery in LB for over 20 years. We all want to save money but I don't see the point if I'm getting double charged. This could have been a much more expensive item, and because the price is so small, I have to eat it!!!

I was actually driving and I happened to be driving by WINCO. I remembered seeing a long line of customers waiting at the small section of the butchers area. My experience at WinCo today was met with a sour note…read more I tried a free sample, came back to return the bag that I was originally going to purchase, and then explained it was because I wanted another option. They kindly told me which aisle the other options were, but they also asked me to bring back the product they ran out for samples for. I expressed I was personally in a rush because my party was at check out, also on a schedule. I couldn't find it, so I told them and they asked for me to stay put to man the station while they went to grab it. I see a few problems with this approach. Firstly, it puts a lot of pressure on me, a customer, to bring back the right product. WinCo is big and I couldn't find the product. Secondly, they should have had an employee be back up to look after the station, and not a customer that was wanting to leave. This is also a lesson learned for myself because I personally should have said "no" to the asks to begin with. In terms of groceries, I was impressed by the variety. However, I wouldn't say it's the best priced as most items are by the pound. Some items are obvious good deals, like 25lb of carrots for $11 and $0.33 per ear of sweet corn. The interior is simple with no theatrics. A huge variety of products on display. However, if you're looking for a specific product, that's difficult as evident from my experience. Lastly, they have a Pokémon Center vending machine. I purchased a few available packs but my last pack was never dropped down. WinCo doesn't manage the machine as its third party, so I had to call the number on the machine for a refund. It was inconvenient to say the least. Overall, I think this is a great grocery store for the community. However, boundaries must be set with employees' expectations of customers.

I had no issues with this store and will be coming back.

I'm writing this review because I was very disappointed in this store being a flagship style store,…read morethe largest one in our area and the experience I had considering this is the largest store and having all departments is necessary. 2 days ago I stopped in after not visiting this store for quite some time. There are several reasons why I have discontinued shopping at this store. 1: the associates are not the happiest. Most look exhausted, aggregated, and not happy. No one smiles, no one really asks if you need help if they are passing by, it just seems like no one is really into anymore. I get it. Times are tough and most likely, like many corporate companies, they are most likely focusing on numbers and profits rather than employee happiness which ultimately is what makes them successful. Upon my visit I passed by the sushi department. It looked decent, but I was definitely hesitant because the last 2 times I had their sushi I got food poisoning. The most recent episode was about a year ago which is when I stopped shopping at this location. I walked around and finally decided I would be brave and try it again. I decided at the very end right before check out so it would be cold still. I checked out having to wait in a massive line with several people with full carts as it was a Sunday. I only had 4 items and even self checkout had a major line. It was my turn, I checked out, got to my car and decided to just sit and eat it there bc I was going to be driving for a while. Upon first bite I was once again disappointed. The rice was so hard and so undercooked that it made it very hard to even swallow. I paid $11.99 for this and thought that I was not going to go through this again bc our food economy is shot at the moment, $11.99 for sushi that was not even close to a safe eating standard was not where I want to put my money. I then went back in to where the customer service used to be. It was gone. There is no more customer service. I asked the self check out attendant where I could return the sushi and she said "you have to wait in line at a check out". Are you serious?????? 1 single return and I have to once again wait in the long line of shoppers with full carts? This is your flagship store. This is supposed to be the best version of Ralph's that Ralph's has to offer and this is the best you can do? I said, "you're unable to help me?" She said "no, you have to wait in number 7". The line to number 7 was 5 people deep with full carts. I waited and then got frustrated and walked out bc every single person wanted alcohol. The cashier in the line you check out in has to stop what they are doing and go find your alcohol which stops the checkout line entirely. Most of the cashiers don't know alcohol as well as the ones drinking it and most don't know exactly where it is. At this store there are 2 locations where these products could be so you're going to stand there waiting for quite some time just so the person can have alcohol. I don't have time for this. I'm not paying premium prices for a mediocre store. Im not waiting 15-20 mins to do a simple return bc your sushi chef doesn't know how to properly make the main ingredient.... The only ingredient that has to be cooked... right. There is no reason to have crunchy rice. There is no reason why you can not make the self check out attendant the associate for returns when all they are doing is standing there monitoring. There is actually no reason to not have a customer service station anymore. Especially at your largest location. That was the last time I will ever visit this store. Gelson's and wholefoods are right in the same area and have far better customer service and products. So, bottom line is... I never got a refund, I threw the sushi away bc I didn't want to get sick or hurt again, and I wasted my money in a store who doesn't put its patrons first. Ralph's.... You lost my business. Gelsons and wholefoods are far nicer and I feel I get my money's worth there.
