Seriously, when a particular customer enters the store, they act as if they're afraid and immediately use the speaker to ask an employee to scan every aisle every 5 minutes. Employees are not very pleasant, and their behavior is unacceptable because they believe that no one will speak up about it. Kindness doesn't have to cost anything, but being rude comes naturally to them. It's easy to have a bad attitude but difficult to maintain a positive one. read more

I came to this Minute Clinic in November of 2021, but I am reminded of my experience here. I had terrible and rude customer service from a registered nurse named Angela. I needed to get a sports physical/physical exam done for my program. Due to a recent insurance switch and pending for a new PCP at that time, I had to turn to Minute Clinic. Angela was very condescending to me and kept insisting that they do not perform sports physicals. I explained to her that CVS minute clinic DOES in fact perform sports physicals, and I wanted her to ask someone else in charge such as the nurse practitioner (NP). She threatened me saying that she will ask the nurse practitioner but HIGHLY DOUBTS she will perform the sport physical. She then leaves the room to ask the NP, Nian Zhang. When returning back, she grudgingly shared the news that the NP was willing to perform the sports physical and I was very lucky she agreed to do this. Then she says that I can't see her yet because I need a two-step TB test performed within 1 year. I responded that I do have proof of a two-step TB test and I can pull it up on my phone right away. She quickly snaps at me saying that I need to leave and print it out, but will give me the physical after I return with the paper. So I went home and printed the TB report out and returned back. The NP was willing to see me right away when I returned and even brought me into her office, however, Angela was demanding and told her that she needed to "make sure I have all the requirements first." So I went back into Angela's treatment room and did more paperwork and verification, and of course, Angela was upset and surprised that I had everything she needed this time around. When I finally got to be seen by Nian Zhang, it was a breath of fresh air because she was so kind, caring, respectful, and knowledgeable. She performed my sports physical with ease and stated that CVS Minute Clinic performs sports physicals regularly. She is the reason I am willing to give another star back for this clinic. read more

This isn't the first time I've tried to order a simple photo and had the hardest time... Crystal "helped" me both times and she's a disaster. I waited 2 hours for a 1 hour photo, I made a mistake print and went online to reprint the correct size and she said it takes about 25 minutes after submitting my order. I went after 30 minutes and they hadn't even printed it, they said the computer supposed to print it by itself but they "didn't refresh" the computer page... I caught the other worker who tried to help me, and before I RESUBMITTED another photo order for the 3rd time she said it popped up on screen she just needed to refresh the computer. I told her I hadn't submitted it yet and she was barely printing the 2nd order I sent out (at that point I was waiting for about 50+ minutes). I told her about that and showed her my phone; that I hadn't ordered the last order yet. She was dumbfounded, I then put my 3rd order for safe measures so there wouldn't be anymore excuses. They are a MESS at this CVS location. The workers walk around like chickens with no head, except the woman who helped me with liquor she was holding the CVS down while crystal and the other worker were "helping" me. All for literally 1 picture. They then said it was free... I waited about 3 hours total for a free 12¢ photo. What a joke. I would've paid more money to get the correct order faster. & the first time which was around 2 years ago I ordered a photo and the same Crystal said I wasn't able to receive them because I didn't have identification to confirm it's me... look at the pictures! Also this time I ordered no one asked me for any identification, even for the first order that went through and it was my mistake. Horrible customer service. I would've still been willing to pay for all the photos if they gave me my correct one without that hassle. read more

The worst pharmacy to go to... unfortunately a family member has medications here, otherwise I would never choose to come here.. people have wait in line just to pick up medication for more then an hour.. drive through closes at 8PM, but there no sign on the window, people just get stuck waiting in line for someone to come help, but no one shows up to the window.. upon calling the pharmacy, then only we found out the drive through was closed.. I had my sick mother waiting in the car for 45 mins in the drive through.. this is ridiculous.. shame on the management team.. read more

Terrible customer service. Requested a medication transfer call and was told " Z don't pick up, takes too long, just email your doctor and have them call us". Just went back to the Z pharmacy for more info on my prescription and said "I don't know what she's talking about we do transfers all the time and they go well same day". Funny thing is I was told to call back this CVS location the next day to initiate the transfer from Z since business closed yesterday and the rep said could do it (different rep at CVS) LMAO. Worst customer service ever, would not recommend ever shopping at this CVS. Staff who act as though you are bothering them when you are in line to get assistance or check out, audibly heard frequently negatively sighing when having to assist customers. I have witnessed staff cursing at customers & other staff. I have witnessed staff verbally provoke customers & threaten to physically assault customers. The managers openly do not address the staffs unprofessional, insubordinate, and inappropriate behavior; which then makes the concerning behaviors approved. Is this something in line with CVSs mission and policies? Will corporate or district management ever come in to address the staffs behavior so that customers can experience pleasant shopping experiences? read more

So I understand that a lot of people might be taking or requesting passport photos which is a good thing. But isn't it your responsibility as a manager of a location that offers this service to be equipped with the photo paper needed to take these photos. And please stop making your customers try and feel sorry for you because a lot of people are requesting photos. Just make sure you have the paper. Slow on the keyboard: it's now 36 minutes. All I want to know is why they dispensed some medicine AFTER it was recalled. They sent me a message saying that there was a February 28th recall. I went to get a TB test for work today at the CVS on East Willow Street in Long Beach and the nurse who helped me was very passive, very impatient and made my mother and I very uncomfortable. When we went to leave, the new store manager, didn't catch his name, was very helpful. The supervisor or doctor of the minute clinic, not so much. She stood there like she didn't have two women in front of her with an issue. I'm not even going to come back for my Flu Shot. I will come back for my TB reading and leave it at that. Also, if you guys have issues with customers coming "15 minutes before closing", DO NOT HAVE APPOINTMENTS THAT INTRUDE ON THAT TIME. Advice to everyone: make an appointment before 5 since this location can't manage their time like adults and make sure you tell them you have insurance so you don't pay out of pocket. The nurse didn't mention it to me because I "didn't say so myself". She was going to sit there and let me pay when at the kiosk, I said I'd be paying with insurance! You know, I love CVS. I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars over my adult life in many, many locations throughout the nation, never had any complaints to speak of. That is, until now, until here; Willow Street, Long Beach, CA., early March, 2020. I am disabled and I have recently had all my prescriptions transferred here from Paramount, mainly because it's open 24 hours and I don't have to try to fit in refills during any time slot. I came in last week to pick up one, waited in line, then browsed a bit between the counter and the bathroom (I'm a CVSCARE customer too). I saw a staff member coming toward me from the hallway where the bathrooms are, and so I caught her eye, smiled, and said "Is the restroom open?" to which she replied "No" and kept heading my way. Puzzled, I said "Okay, can you please open it for me, or whom do I....?" She then grabbed two folding sawhorse blockades, opened them to block me, and told me "Bathrooms closed. Closes at ten." "You mean I can't use your bathroom? Where do YOU go?" She gave me a dirty look and said "I'M an EMPLOYEE." to which I replied "I'M a CUSTOMER!" She ignored me and brushed past. (One of my heart medications is a diuretic, never thought a pharmacy would deny me the restroom). Obviously, my shopping ENDED, I certainly won't PAY YOU for bad service. This isn't going to end here, either. On my way out, I glanced at the time on my phone, it read 10:02. Must've been no later than 9:59 when she blocked my way. Hmph. read more

I don't come here frequently enough and today was a reminder why. The pharmacy techs seriously don't care about people. The young girl you checked me spoke quietly and got upset that I had to ask her to repeat herself. My insurance company UHC stores our cards in the app which she didn't care for and said I needed a physical card. I told her I've never needed one in the past but I can have it faxed to you via the app if that helps. She just walked away from me and didn't say anything. She told me since I don't have insurance that I can just pay normal and just have them reimburse you. ‍ I'll get it fixed but won't be coming here again unless I get extremely desperate. read more

I have to say this is the worst CVS I have ever visited. My God, you are suppose to help those that are sick not be indifferent and rude. My experience started with Victory who has absolutely no people skills. She had a hard time finding my RX for my 5 year old. I brought in the RX and then gave her the contact for my DR. She was BOTHERED!!! My goodness find another job that you don't have to have face to face contact with people. Then after speaking to my DR. 3 times because they just couldn't get it right they gave me a different RX. What they should of done is asked me first, then called another CVS in the area to see if they had it on their shelves. When I asked to speak to the pharmacist he was rude and told me that the Dr. approved it and that was that...to quote him. I asked him if the steroid in this medication would hurt my child and he did not want to consult with me. What the hell is wrong with you Darrly. OK, so I'm a tough kinda dame. I generally have a high threshold for pain but a toothache is my kryptonite. I woke up with a toothache that said, "Good morning, Bitch, I'm here to ruin your day. I called my dentist...I heard him yell "INCOMING" like a M.A.S.H unit. I called my clients to cancel and reschedule. They were a bit disappointed, as I make all my guests' visits pleasant. But hey....I have my own line and they can only get the good shit from the studio...so they'll wait. After checking out my grill, Dr. Nguyen said it was just an infection and he preferred to save the tooth instead of ripping it out like I requested, so he prescribe a few meds. My tooth had stopped hurting by then. I guess it knew it was going to have to say good-bye to its friends, so it straightened up. I fuckin' win! I got to CVS and there is no line, but the young lady is taking her sweet time. I chilled and waited. After going through the particulars she told me it was going to be a three hour wait. Goddamn, what if a bitch was dying? Shit. I left. No pain all day. But since this is no longer a 24 hour Sav-on, I figure the toothache would probably come back to tackle my ass in the middle of the night...my prime time. I'm all over that tactic and went before they closed. There were only three people ahead of me, but it is 30 minutes before I get my shit. I thought that I should have gone to have it filled at Rite-Aid but check it... There is a CVS, Rite-Aid and Walgreens competing on every corner and they ALL have a line. How can this be? Are they filling meth and crack prescriptions? Well, sort of...they are. Whether you get you shit from Dave the dope man or a corporate pharmacy...we all seem to be on SOMETHING!! My thing is Coronas. Yep...they got that for me all day, Baby...all day! When I'm trying to quit smoking for the billionth time...they got some nicotine alternatives to keep me from cracking up. Your kids trippin'? They got something for ya! Anal leakage....they can handle it. Need a simple sugar fix? Check out the never ending-ass candy aisle. Feel the holiday spirit coming on...ANY fuckin' holiday...they got the decorations down pat. No matter your disgusting or creative area of humanity, they can get ya going for cash, check, credit or debit. It's just your simple luck of geography, Babes. I have to start off by saying that I feel bad for the pharmacy employees here. They all seem polite and competent, but there is clearly some underlying flaw in the workflow of the pharmacy. Having worked in retail pharmacy, I try to be more patient and understanding. Ultimately, management needs to work out some communication break-downs to make the place run more smoothly. Any given time of day, there is a line four patients deep for rx pick up AND rx drop off. A prescription of mine was called in, but placed on hold instead of being filled for no reason. Reading the other Yelp reviews, it's clear that many people have been similarly inconvenienced. I know that when a pharmacy is this busy and has this many scripts coming in each day, it takes a lot of organization to keep from falling behind and upsetting customers. This CVS fails at that organizing, however. Despite all the mishaps and pissed of customers, the techs here are pretty resilient in being polite and not returning the attitude. I want to give them more stars for that alone, but ultimately I have to strongly recommend that you take your prescriptions elsewhere to avoid the headache here. The pharmacist (Ernie) told me I had to wait one hour. After 30 minutes, I want back to the counter and Ernie said "I told you it was going to take one hour, it has only been like 15 minutes" It had already been 30, and on top of that... asthma inhalers are ALREADY prepackaged and ready. DISCLAIMER: I was a pharmacy tech at CVS years ago and quit because things were much better when we were SavOn and I moved. That being said... Use your local pharmacy. Support local business for your prescription needs. The staff at CVS are under a time crunch when processing-filling-ringing up your prescriptions. Mistakes will be made and staff members are incompetent. At this 24 hour location there should be no reason to be on hold for five minutes after midnight! You shouldn't have to wait 20 minutes for a prescription that's already done. Drive-thru-lazy-folks shouldn't be served before those who walked in! Or at the very least acknowledge the waiters or multitask. If you must use a chain corporation pharmacy Walgreens is right across the street and they are 24 hours as well. Went to take my Mother to pick up her prescriptions and get some documents copied. First thing I noticed most of the machines had a note that said, "Out of Order". And of course,walking to the copy machine it is also "Out of order". Does anything work around here?! But there was a young man who was stocking the shelves with Easter candies and told him that the copy machine was out of order since he was the one that directed us to where it was from the beginning. He didn't have to do what he did,but he offered to use their copy machine in the back to copy what we needed for free. His name is Brandon and he gets an "A" for effort and for changing the experience. While we wait for him,my Mother was able to get her prescriptions real fast without any wait. read more

So I popped into this store yesterday evening because I needed to pick up some badly needed sundries. Ok so it's been cold and I've been sporting lots of pants lately and have taken many liberties w/ shaving my legs. I was feeling quite european. Yes that's my excuse. Up until I changed into some workout gear and took one look at my legs.....oh HELL TO THE NAW......yup it was time to go shopping for some new razors etc. This store was formerly a Savon and I much preferred it the way it was before. The shelfs are all low so you can see clear across the store. I kind of like being in a long hall with stuff piled high to the sky (bit o' privacy) unless of course I actually need something from way up there. So I finally pick up my items and I go to check when I see the huge ass line. Yup, one checker and about ten people in line. HELLO not good. Not good at all. Oh and apparently they've got their own little savings reward system. Which I didn't have so the toothpaste adverstised for a buck was actually $3.50. He told me I could fill out an application and get one but with lots of other harried customers behind I just didn't have the heart to do that. Ugh! read more

Slowest pharmacy ever! I came in yesterday to drop of a prescription and had to wait 20 minutes to drop it off and let them know I would be back tomorrow to pick it up...(whatever you do don't wait for your prescription, one lady had been waiting for 45 minutes). I came back today to pick up my prescription and had to wait in line for 25 minutes!!! I mean come on!!! Hire more people, extend your hours! Do SOMETHING! P.S... Doesn't HIPPA discourage your pharmacy techs from shouting patient information across the pharmacy?! Maybe CVS should have a refresher course for its techs!!! read more
