I am very disappointed with the customer service at this CVS pharmacy. I waited in line to pick up my prescription, and when it was my turn, the employee asked if I wanted to pay for the one item I had with my prescription. I said no because I wanted to pay separately so I could use my CVS coupons. She refused and told me I would have to go back and wait in line again, claiming the line was long when it really was not. I regularly wait a long time at this pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions and have never complained. This was the first time I asked to purchase just one item separately, and the way I was treated made me feel like helping customers is a problem unless it is only a prescription pickup. This was very poor customer service and an unnecessary issue over one item. read more

This CVS pharmacy is absolutely disgusting! The parking lot and outside of the store is filthy! Just trying to park here, I almost got hit by another driver. Go inside the store and the whole place is just gross. It smells like BO and the floors and displays are all dirty. Looks like nothing has been cleaned here in years. The pharmacy line was about 20 people long and took over 30 minutes just to pick up. The pharmacy computer system crashed and the whole place had to re-boot their computers. The pen on the payment pad was broken, so everyone had to use their finger to sign and the pharmacy employees were not cleaning off the payment pad screens. The countertop at the pharmacy was falling apart. The whole place was just gross and disgusting. Prescriptions were filled here once and we transferred everything to a different pharmacy due to this store! read more

This particular CVS is the one that I frequent the most. The staff there is always friendly, helpful & professional, in particular Maria & Malcolm (pharmacy). I have heard some complaints about him, but have never had an issue with him. Sure, he wears StarWars tshirts; however that is just part of his character & personality. I understand CVS Pharmacy isn't the most organized or quickest. But when it's always the same individual who makes it stressful, especially when it involved my pregnant wife. I won't get into what other headaches MALCOLM (he's the one who likes to wear a Yoda shirt while everyone else is dressed professionally), but when my wife ran out of her seizure medication (because CVS pharmacy decided to make it hard even though she had 3 refills), -MALCOLM said to call after 3 when their shipment arrives (didn't bother to check anything). -My wife calls after 3 and MALCOLM says it's not here. -My wife calls her doctor to see if she can get samples since she's out. -We start driving to Newport Beach in rush hour (we live in Long Beach) until her doctor calls and said the pharmacy does have it in. -They had to get firm with them so makes me wonder if he just doesn't respect women. -So, MALCOLM refused to check to see if it was coming that day, if it was in the shipment that arrived, and had to be hassled by my wife's doctor to actually do his job. In conclusion, I have seen MALCOLM be rude to customers before, be no help, horrible customer service, and now nearly made my wife miss her seizure medication she needs. I won't bother the other times he's caused headaches but why is this guy working here? It takes a lot for me to get this way, but when someone who handles medicine that people actually need to live walks around in a Star Wars shirt, refuses to actually check anything, rude to customers, carries himself like he knows it all and others are stupid, something needs to be done. read more

This is for the pharmacy only. There're no reason I should have to drive down a few miles more to pick up some Covid test through my pharmacy benefits just because both the tech and the pharmacist Almaz Y stated it was store policy they couldn't do it in store and I was required to order it through the CVS app ever since "covid stopped" I called the next two CVS I knew of around and they stated they could process it and fill but one was out of stock, and the final one was able to process my order through the phone and I did manage to pick up. I don't even have the CVS app. I am old school and like to call in/walk in. I will not be returning. read more

After reading the other reviews, I see I am not alone. I came to this CVS location years ago when it opened. It was always professional service and clean. While the main store remains professional and welcoming I cannot say the same for the pharmacy. Many of the people who work there I have known since they started. Over the years they have developed a " We are the gods " complex. I see a few of them mentioned by names in other reviews. The staff and pharmacists will see a line of customers and not acknowledge their presence. They use to greet and help you but not anymore. They have one slow person who walks away from the line to go to something he is not responsible for doing. I left after waiting since I had to go back to work. They already close at lunch which screws many of us who come in on our lunch break and we have to quickly get in and out. Years ago like today, I walked out of Von's on Atlantic after seeing the deterioration of customer service and the same "walk away from a line of people" way of business. They closed a couple of years later- I guess they found out "customers matter". CVS I hope you can get it together before you become yet another vacate spot in our beautiful neighborhood. We are TRYING to support you so give us the same when we come in to get our meds. I see many of my neighbors names on here complaining, a few who are known as "non complainers". read more

Customer is terrible. Staff spends more time with side chats then helping customers. Store is unorganized and dirty. Had an issue with the store Manager called Customer Service never heard back from anyone. Freezers have been out of service for months. Employees are great but the self check-out system, frankly, is a Charlie Foxtrot. I've used it for the third (and final) time today. I should have taken a hint when there were three attendants working the registers and only one person (a lady that just walked up to buy a candy bar) used the sole working unit (this location has two). No cash transactions or cashback so get your credit/debit card ready. I get it that Home Depot, supermarkets and CVS are transitioning to self-check out, but they should take a hint from Jack in the Box (their system was a flop because it took longer to do it yourself than to give an order at the counter or drive-thru for "A #3, large, curly fries with an unsweetened iced tea"). The scanner I used required several passes to read the bar code and the system itself was just sloooooow. After scanning my last item I wanted to use a coupon, so I hit the button on the screen and scanned it (this one read immediately) then I got the "wait for attendant" message. Either me muttering "are you fucking kidding me" or "Jesus fucking Christ" or the station sent a message to the attendant got them over within a minute. Without a word, she put a cell phone to the scanner and cleared the message so I was able to pay with my debit card. That fourth photo shown on the page? Yep, mine. Going forward I'm just going to wait for an open register; if steered by an employee I'll simply state "With all due respect sir/ma'am, the self check-out scanners suck and aren't self-check out because every time I've used one I've required an attendant...so it's really not self-check out. So you called them at 1:19 PM. After six or seven minutes of menus and other crap to go through it finally rings the phone to the pharmacist but it tells you there is a one collar in front of you and then BAM... They close at 1:30 for lunch. So even though you called 11 minutes before they close, they keep you on the phone with all kinds of announcements I bullshit, so you can't talk to anyone. I just wanted to take a moment to and share the experience I had the other night I went to my local CVS As I was looking for some kids medicine. There were some empty shelves and I couldn't locate the medicine I was looking for. I asked the only person I saw, the cashier for help. She left her position and I cannot even tell you how caring, thorough and helpful she was helping me look for what I needed. Literally on her hands and knees helping me look. . I was in complete awe in the pride she took to help a customer out. Not only did she also not locate what I was looking for but she also recommended the non brand version. Just complete professionalism on her part. CVS, Management, if you read this. Your employee Breanna should be commended and rewarded how she treats her customers. Pure class and professionalism. Thanksgiving day recovery. I never knew how much I appreciated cvs until today. I had so much good food yesterday I knew I was going to pay for it and you know what I did.. Lol I jumped up to get my keys and flew over there as fast as I could. As I'm walking thru those doors I'm immediately confronted with candy and Christmas gifts as I enjoy my diversion from indigestion I take note of how many fabulous bottles of perfume I must have on my wish list all the pretty music boxes I can add to my collection. I see all the pretty lights,the ornaments and think out loud they have a better selection than major department stores. I mean really who are these fairies that design these displays I see Santa and his elves handy work everywhere. It's Christmas time in this cvs. The snacks Serious junk food aisles assault my senses the food, ice cream bars you can only find here,egg nog I don't need,candy,chips and lions and tigers and bears oh my ok thats a lie but I bet I could special order stuffed ones lol. They even carry Skinny girl cocktails,for the people who don't know that's Bethenny Frankel's product a former Real Housewive of New York. They have a serious wine selection and hard liquor I'm not a big drinker but it's there if I want it. I grabbed a few cans of fancy feast cat food for my sweetie Princess TaeTae aka Kaylee my GrandCat never mind that my daughter says mom no more wet food for her she's too fat I say why can't a grandma spoil her a little and I sneak and buy her a few. Relief at last... I finally get to the antacid section and find exactly what I need to end my suffering, well maybe a little suffering I'm a bit dramatic. There are three sizes of CVS stores, this is the largest one. Has everything from cookware, bakeware, and food storage, to healthy snack alternatives and kombucha. Has a nice selection of wine and liquor. Always friendly service. Clean aisles. CVS photo quality has gone down at all locations, I shoot on Nikon so there isn't any reason I should be getting blurry prints. Sure rude pharmacy technicians this time around. I came to pick up a special medication that was signed by Malcom, and told him it showed he signed it. He denied it, was rude, and basically tried to make me feel like an idiot . I then asked for my zofran to be filled , not knowing that it still needed clearance from my doctor . I said last time there was no issue filling it. As I walked out with the "found" medication... he starts running his mouth to the pharmacist and other tech about "trying to get me sued." I'm a customer, show me some disrespect for 1) not taking responsibility for losing my medication, and 2) your absolute rudeness! Besides the pharmacists, they have no clue what they're doing! This CVS is horrible, I asked the clerk about using my rewards card at this store. She told me that the registers were Target based, so when I asked to use my phone number for Target rewards she told me that my meds would't give me any recognition and was very unprofessional about it. This pharmacy is the absolute WORST! There is a pharmacy technician in specific, African American male, who is RUDE! I have encountered him twice, once in person and once on the phone. He talks over you, seeks arguments, and is just plain unprofessional. In addition, the pharmacy staff drags their feet and has little conversations on the side, all while there is a big line of customers waiting. Great store crate stock of supplies but every time I go to get an item it's either behind a locked gate or you have to call an assistant to unlock a rack no way to shop sticking to Rite Aid for an hour which drives me nuts because they never have anything but you could get easy access to most items it's a shame that theft is such an issue they have to like every item up it makes for a very poor shopping experience read more

The parking lot for this CVS is quite strange and quite small. The inside of the CVS is just plain disgusting. I just happened to be in the area yesterday for work (05-11-2013) and desperately in need of finding a Mother's Day card so I figured CVS was a good place to look. I walked in an immediately noticed how dirty this place, not only was this place dirty but it smelled like mold. What is even more disturbing about this place smelling like mold is that this CVS has a Pharmacy attached. I am kind of crazy like this, that I require places where I get food & Medicine to not just be clean but be super clean, I wonder if this CVS has ever heard of cross contamination? Anyone who gets an Rx filled here really needs to go inside of this location and take a deep breath and ask yourself if you feel comfortable taking medicine that was filled here. This CVS had stained rugs; several shelves were borderline empty with dollies in the corner of this CVS stacked up with product. It honestly looked like this place was holding a going out of business sale where they let you purchase up product and once everything is sold they close the doors. I finally found the card section and found a very small section that was dedicated to Mother's Day. I found a card and walked to the front to pay for it. On my walk I observed this CVS to have a Chase ATM, a Lottery Kiosk and a Coinstar machine. I paid for my card and got the heck out of here. I do not find myself in this area often but as I was leaving the parking lot I noticed a Walgreens across the street. If I am ever back in the area and in need of a card I will definitely go to Walgreens instead of going to this cesspool. read more
