i wish i could give this pharmacy 0 stars. i transferred to this cvs when i moved to LA and they have messed up my pickup literally every. single. time. went to pick up my birth control and they told me they didn't have it so they put me on a random different one (i had a severely bad reaction to it) next time i came in the other guy was like oh that's weird we have it i don't know why they put you on that one. i asked them to fix it in their system and ever since then they are refilling me for two different birth controls and refuse to cancel the wrong one. every time i come they say it's not actually ready. so frustrating. don't use this pharmacy Ryan is the best employee at this location - he deserves a raise and a new car read more

CVS 6360 W 3rd., Los Angeles: Avoid, avoid, avoid. Incompetence, rudeness, poor communication skills mixed together into a Bad Customer Service cocktail served with a steaming pile of "I couldn't care less" on top. Visiting LA from out of state and came down with a painful ear infection. My doctor called in the Rx, which was received at this CVS. I finally penetrated the voicemail system to reach a human who took my request for same-day delivery of the Rx plus two OTC items, along with my CC number for the order and the $7.99 "same day" charge. This woman was actually pleasant and seemed relatively interested in me as a patient, though she was harried and having a shouted conversation with someone else in the store while we were on the phone. She and I discussed the fact that I was from out of town, but staying very near their location here in LA, and she repeated all the information to me and promised it would all arrive here at my LA address before end-of-day yesterday. It did not. After waiting all day for the delivery, I called the Pharmacy last night around 8p and reached a considerably less pleasant/interested/ competent employee who couldn't find the order (did she look?) and said she didn't have time to look and I should call back in an hour. Today I again spent the time to reach a human at the pharmacy--sort of. The young man spoke like a half-dead thing and sluggishly informed me that they had shipped my order and it would arrive by 9 pm tonight. Unless it didn't. If you're looking for toilet paper or sanitizer, this place might be fine. But I'd avoid the Pharmacy at all costs. read more

Received a call my 99-year-old's prescription was ready for pick up called in by the ER doctor. Arrived. Stood in 10-deep line for 20 minutes only to be told antibiotic wasn't even in building, would arrive after 10am next day. Next day, CVS calls says antibiotic ready for pick up. I opt to speak to a pharmacist who tells me its there but insurance won't cover it so its $200 UNLESS I have mother's doctor fax them another prescription. Huh? OK. Her Dr faxes them prescription. Next AM, I come in to get the meds finally! Pharmacist says the antibiotic isn't there, on order and they now need mom's DR to call the insurance company to get approval. YOUR LOVED COULD DIE OF INFECTION AND THESE CLOWNS DO NOT GIVE A SH*T. Beware. read more

Do NOT even dare to call to ask questions about your prescriptions. The pharm techs will make you feel as though you're an idiot. Every time I've come to refill a script here, it takes 20-30 minutes. Honestly, CVS at third and Fairfax can eat shit. I can't even begin to tell you what a mess the pharmacy is! It's always overcrowded, always people waiting, and with Covid, it's gotten even worse. However, because of the proximity to my apartment, it has been my pharmacy. I've always had an OK experience, but I've definitely witnessed other people in need crying and begging for help/medication and the staff showing little to no compassion or empathy. My eyes have been feeling crazy, burning and infected so I was prescribed eyedrops to start fixing the problem. My doctor called in the prescription at about 3:30 PM and I went to go pick it up a few hours later. Of course, when I showed up it was a complete cluster fuck at the pharmacy, but there was miraculously no line for pick ups. I was able to speak to one of the pharmacists/cashiers immediately who said my prescription wasn't quite ready and it would be a few minutes. She then asked me, "Do you still need the eyedrops?" Uhhhhh...I mean, yeah. I need my eyes! Plus it was a brand new prescription. I left the store, went to Whole Foods, did some grocery shopping, then returned to CVS thinking, "My prescription must be ready by now. It had been about a half hour since I spoke to the pharmacist" Spoiler Alert: it wasn't. The thing that boggles my mind is that it's a bottle of eyedrops. It's not pills, it's not some sort of special concoction they need to be mixing up in their cauldron, it was eyedrops. Take them off the shelf and put them in a bag. Anyway, I finally left the store to go sit in my car and wait for a text they promised, alerting me that my prescription was ready. After 25 minutes of sitting in my car, I was hungry and decided to leave and go home. Now over six hours later, my eye drops apparently still aren't ready, and my eyes are feeling absolutely insane. I'm dictating this so I don't have to look at the screen for too long, but I couldn't wait to post this. This pharmacy needs some serious help. Will not be going there any longer. read more

I am filing a formal HIPAA violation complaint with the Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights so this location can be investigated in hopes of protecting others. I went to check the status of my prescription today at the drop off/consultation desk. The pharmacist told me it was out of stock and he didn't know when they would get more. A man standing to my right chimed in and said, "Aw man you're out of that medication?" The pharmacist answered him with a yes and then turned to me and said I could check other pharmacies. The pharmacist was okay with this man eavesdropping in our private conversation about my medication, and the pharmacist didn't even have the nerve to tell the man where to stand for patient privacy while waiting his turn. Worst CVS! Strike 1: Parking sucks. It's right next to a busy Whole Foods, and there are bad drivers everywhere. This is the main reason I keep trips here to a minimum. Strike 2: The staff is very rude or they treat you as if you're invisible. The employee raised here voiced at every single customer there including myself. The self check-out was called express check out. It probably would have been faster and more efficient to do the regular check out if it was an option. There wasn't a prompt like Ralphs that says "Do you have any coupons?" She got mad at me for not knowing what to do. She got mad at the guy next to me because his CVS rewards card was not working. He was politely asking why the prices scanned didn't reflect the sales prices. Strike 3: The carts are awkward. There is a vertical pole attached to the relatively small cart. However, the pole is taller than the exit's doorway. How am was I supposed to bring out four 12 packs of soda and one case of water? The same rude lady yelled at me and as the guy with cases of beer, "Tilt the cart!" Really?! I'm petite and she expected me to do that with my cute pink ballet flats on. It was an accident waiting to happen, but I made it through safely but not gracefully. The savings were not worth it this time around. I typically prefer CVS over all the other chain pharmacies. I don't like the one near the Beverly Center but prefer the Beverly Hills location. I need to start liking Walgreens or Rite Aid more. read more

Hmmm. Thought for sure I had posted a review a year ago or so. Oh well. This CVS has improved greatly. Their new layout is fresher, easier to navigate and is now an option if you need to pick up something food-related in a hurry. Cold wines are available, too, and there's actually some decent affordable choices. The Pharmacy has some very good, patient (but very busy) pharmacists. Sometimes, however, the line to Pick Up is onerous. Is it OK to say 'onerous' here? My big issue with this store has been the inconsistent price labeling. Just like its next door neighbor, Whole Foods, it's hard to know sometimes what's what. That they offer 9 zillion variations on Vitamin D is a whole 'nother discussion, but really. It's very confusing. To their credit, they try to do right by you in the end. The drug prices are still higher than the local drug store, but CVS has made themselves a more attractive option. And if you're into the loyalty card thing, they offer a lot of promos there, too. read more

This CVS feels a bit smaller than the ones I've been to before, but it's a) close to my house, b) has a pharmacy, and c) stocks the beer I drink at a reasonable price. Quite frankly, I don't care about the parking situation. I can walk here. There's a giant lot; stop being so damn lazy and park further away. Walk. It's not the end of the world. Yes, there are bums outside. Who cares? There are bums everywhere in LA. I've never been accosted by one here. The reason this CVS isn't great is because of (SHOCK SURPRISE OMG) their pharmacy. Every time I come in here, I get someone who is rude. I order my refill on the phone, make sure to drop things off way before it's necessary, and do some shopping while I'm waiting for my prescription when it isn't refilled on time. No biggie. I'm just tired of the dirty looks I get from the pharmacist every time I pull out my Planned Parenthood card. Oh, I'm sorry I can't afford health insurance, don't want to have children right now, want to protect myself from accidental pregnancy, and also want to balance my ridiculous hormones. I also dislike their self-scan area because regardless of when or what I'm getting, there's always an attendant who tries to ring me up at the self-scan area. If you actually want prescriptions filled, I'd go elsewhere. Anywhere else. Like the dude slinging rock on the corner. Might not be what you need, but the customer service and efficiency is light years better. Here, they are always "backed up" and can't serve customers in a timely manner, whether it's an hour wait for a promised 10 minute drop off, or failing to start processing a called in prescription after 5 days of waiting. I once watched the pharmacist spend 30 minutes working on staff schedules rather than serving an ever increasing line of waiting clients. Worst. CVS. Ever. read more

Going to start with the negatives and end on a positive note. There were no shopping carts upstairs. When I asked one of the store employees for one he told me they were all in the parking lot. He also said I could wait around for one. WHAT? Isn't this a Beverly Hills pharmacy? There should always be baskets available and always someone to restock them. This employee was fiddling with a machine didn't seem too interested in helping me so I asked another employee. Finally someone went down and brought them up. Another complaint is that there weren't well staffed. Only one woman was at the checkout counter. The store had a good number of customers. Now for the positives: Free parking!! How many places offer that nowadays? Instant points for this CVS!! The employees were so nice and friendly. The woman in the makeup department was very knowledgable about the products there. She was very attentive. The checkout lady was also very nice and smiley. I felt good shopping there. Lots of products to choose from. Excellent deals. I love using my CVS card to get a discount. Normally you feel a little lost in a CVS and not an employee in site to get you one of those "please ask for assistance" products that are locked or behind a glass cabinet. My experience at this CVS has never been more amazing. Walking into the beauty section looking for a product an employee asks me if I needed help, and immediately I jumped on yes, as I feel like it's rare when that happens. I was looking for a specific product and he stayed w me to help me out and figure out when they were going to get more in. I came in on a Wednesday and unbeknownst to me all of their stock was low and their shipments usually come in at the end of the week. So again looking for a mascara to get the buy 2 deal they were out of it and only had one. Sam the employee who happens to also be the manager honored the coupon that I had and still gave me the deal on one mascara since they were out of stock. I think he went above and beyond in his customer service, he had an understanding in all products in the store and his follow through was amazing. Thank you Sam!! read more

What a joke this place is. I'm not blaming the pharmacy employees 100% because they are always overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work. CVS needs to hire more staff. But trying to have a conversation with a staff member is near impossible, as they cut you off mid sentence and try to forcibly end a brief conversation when questions haven't been fully answered. Depending on who you speak with, you will almost always get a different answer to the same question. I called to get a prescription refilled. I was originally told it could be filled, but would need to be ordered. They suggested I call another nearby CVS to see if they had the medication in stock so I could get it sooner. They didn't, so I called this CVS back to go ahead and have it ordered. The first person I spoke with rudely told me that the prescription could not be filled and that there was no current prescription form on file to have it filled, which was outright false, as I had confirmed with another associate earlier that it was. I was then bounced around to 3 separate associates, none of which would allow me to get a full sentence out before putting me on hold and transferring me to someone else. I was finally able to speak with the original associate and get the medication ordered. I was about to ask when to expect it to be ready, but was spoken over to "have a nice day" and hung up on. Again, I'm not blaming the staff 100%, but this was one of the most awful of many awful experiences at this location. I just wanted to give my honest review. Pharmacy is awful!!!! Mandy the pharmacist has no customer service skills whatsoever! I was told to come back to pick up a prescription because there was no ICD-9 code for my husband's medication. They called the doctor & said I could pick it up if I bring in the original. They always fill the same medication for me but now all of a sudden I have to bring in his identification to fill it! I guess the rules change according to who's there that day. Wasted time. Will NEVER go back to this store again. I forgot to mention, one time they shorted me on a whole BOTTLE of medication for my daughter's infection, and if I wasn't a nurse and didn't know better she would not have gotten better due to their negligence. I had no idea they normally have a shelf life for about 10 years! Not only was she helpful, BUT EVERYONE in their pharmacy has been A+ in my book (I used to be a middle school teacher-smiles), including ever-so-sweet & always accommodating Feli & gets-the-job-done Josie (she's sweet, too-w/eyeglasses & ponytail-smiles)Thank you CVS for having such awesome pharmacists & pharmacy cashiers! Like most CVS pharmacy stores this one has a slightly run down quality that doesn't inspire a lot of shopping enthusiasm. It also seems rather expensive (I think Walgreens is cheaper overall) but sometimes there are good sales on some of my favorite toiletries, and occasionally I'll pick up household stuff here if the price is ok. Not the prettiest or cheapest place to shop, but the parking and location is convenient. CVS has a rather complicated royalty system. Buy so much and you can get money off on your future purchases. Sign up online for coupons you can print out or add to your card and then print from the little kiosk at the front of the store. Personally I find it too complex to be really useful, but I do enjoy printing out coupons when I come here. The staff at the pharmacy are friendly and helpful. I've used the automated phone refill number and haven't had any problems. I like that they text me when my prescription is ready. The main checkout area is pretty confusing. I don't like the automated check out stations at all and I do my best to avoid them. Finally, there are often homeless men lurking outside the doors asking for money, but that's LA for you. read more

This pharmacy should be shut down immediately. Initially the pharmacy's only problem was that it was slow but in the last month they haven't had any of my prescriptions in stock. To make matters worse they begin the process of refilling them so I think that it will be ready when I need it. By the time I've run out of what I've currently had my prescription still says in process but it should be ready a week ago. I called and waited on hold for 20 minutes to find out what was going on. They told me they were out of stock and I needed to call other pharmacies to find one that had it then call my doctor to send in another prescription. This is the second time this happened but this time it is for a very common blood pressure medication which they should be able to look up in their system to tell me availability and transfer the prescription. This pharmacy should be closed if they can't serve their customers or even notify their customer that they can't serve them. Operating a pharmacy this way is negligent. They are putting their customers lives and health at risk and should be shut down immediately. read more

Borderline a 2-3 here. Only because of the pharmacy section. I dunno how those ladies do it everyday. Super stressful just watching them take customers and orders. Overall expect a 20-45 minute response time to get prescriptions filled if you phoned ahead for pick up, if not definitely over an hour. Ladies are great here once you get too em, they work really hard and are very knowledgeable. It feels understaffed or its just too highly congested. Either way they need a better system to help them out. If you go here for prescriptions filled be sure you need to access there store or the Whole Foods next door to kill time and prepare to wait at least 20 minutes in line here! read more

Normally I love this CVS, I have been coming here for years and the service is normally nothing but exceptional however, today I cannot say the same for CVS & it's costumer service. I was extremely disappointed by the negative service and energy I received from the Manager (Carla) on duty and the cashier(Shay). I liked a toy that was marked down to a discounted price however once I came to the register I was told that the system had a glitch and they will not honor the marked price. I found this to be very wrong because any item that is tagged to be one price should not change once at the register and even if it is a glitch the costumer should not have to suffer at the cost of the stores or employees mistake. Went in last night just after midnight to use a $12 cashbucks coupon on some very expensive razors we always buy. We have to get the razors from the cashier because they now keep it up at the front. My fiancé and I each have CVS cards under different phone numbers, so we weren't sure whether the coupon was for his number or mine. We tried his and it didn't go through. The cashier said the reason why was because it expired yesterday (meaning, 20 minutes prior). That's not what got me upset. What upset me was the rude old broad by the name of Teri, whom I believe is upset that her days of working in a Tijuana brothel are over. Cashier: Sorry, the coupon expired yesterday. Us: Really? It's only 15 minutes past midnight. Teri: Well, it's still expired. Us: Can you try to over ride it? It's worked many times before. Cashier: Sorry, I can't. Me: Are you sure? I recently had a change in insurance, and did not have time to start a new home delivery prescription before running out of refills. I decided to run to my local CVS to get one month's supply in the meantime, until I could have my annual appointment with my doctor (already set) to get a formal refill next month. This was a HUGE MISTAKE - I had an AWFUL experience. I went to the pharmacy and was met by a polite pharmacist, but as a Deaf person, I was totally scammed. I went with my husband and made clear to the pharmacist that A) I'd been on the same prescription for 10 years, nothing new here and B) I ran out of refills but would be meeting with my doctor in a month and was told by my doctor that the pharmacy could call to confirm my prescription. Instead, the pharmacist made me do an online consultation and get my blood pressure measured and it cost me 40 DOLLARS to do that, when I should be getting the same prescription for FREE (covered in full by my insurance plan) with no necessary consultations. I did NOT need CVS to write me a new prescription.. nor was this a NEW prescription. What is the point of going to my doctor and getting the prescription filled there in the first place?? To top it off, I was only given ONE refill, when I am used to getting a 90 day / 3 month supply. I feel totally used and scammed and it was a waste of time and money.
