Dang Hollywood plays tricks on me at night. I come here and see the sign on the door saying don't pay homeless people, thinking it's a bad area. But then I drove down the street and there's Park La Brea and the Farmers Market. Props to the classical music playing outside I appreciate that. I wonder if that tactic works. People still pay the beggars out front I see. Crime is acceptable in this city and only prevented by citizens so not surprised. Sad for workers inside. They have that store brand sugar free Powerade on tap so props for that, plus a decent selection of other stuff including yes cookies. DISCRIMINATION and POOR SERVICE against homeless people. I came in here on a Wednesday after work and as I walked in I noticed the check out lady (middle aged Indian lady) raising her voice at the gentleman (approx. 70 yrs old and homeless) who was trying to pay. She belittled him and kept saying "give me 2 dollars sir! more money! you give me 2 dollars!!" Her gestures and mannerisms left me so disheartened. There were other people waiting to pay and she was embarrassing this older man who was just trying to count his coins to pay for a cup-of-noodles! After so many instances, he spoke up and said "I'm sorry I'm counting my money but you don't have to be so rude." After he gave her the 2 she asked him to get out...yes, she asked a paying customer to GET OUT. She kept making faces at his appearance made stink faces in front of him while covering and waving at her nose with her yellow scarf/head wrap. I felt obligated to walk out and apologize to the older gentleman because you can tell her behavior made him feel less of a human. Not a bad 711. They got all the good stuff. But beware sometimes this place gets really crowded. The Line sometimes can be about 6-7 people deep. The parking lot can be a issue as well. I've never had problems at this 7-Eleven but today I did with a Hispanic rude ass man who concluded our disagreement by giving me the middle finger. I called back and spoke to the manager who was very apologetic. I plan to call the 7-Eleven franchise board and complain about this as well. I subsequently called the corporate office and spoke to Jose who was very apologetic and emphatic that action would be taken against this rude employee. I've been going to this 7/11 for over 25 years... I enjoy two or three employees that work there and have a very small rapport with them... the rest of the employees are usually expressionless and or rude... not helpful at all, unwilling to answer a question. and many times inept at working the register.. seems to stem from the owners or management. I've personally seen an older woman of Indian descent physically assault two customers by knocking their beverages out of their hands and all over the counter, products, customers and employees... the store is more often times than not absolutely disgusting inside and out... trash all over everywhere... no lids or straws for drinks... etc. etc. granted the store does have a high volume of traffic and quite obviously needs more employees to keep up with and maintain this store at a respective level for the community... as convenient as it may be, I've had to make the decision to shop elsewhere, especially now that my app doesn't work any more and seem to have lost all my points... 7/11 in general is a very sad place to shop.. my advise... less is more 7/11... This place is repulsive and should be boycotted and shut down. The man working 1am on 8/29 is the rudest person I have ever encountered and should be fired immediately. I was the only person in the store. He shouted at me when I nicely asked him for a napkin because my dog walked through a mound of nacho cheese in the parking lot. Gave me the wrong item. Shouted at me when I told him it was wrong insisting it was right and then wouldn't exchange it and actually laughed at me when it was not what I had asked for. It is difficult for me to accept that I am writing a review on a 7-11, of all places. However, after repeated visits here, it is time to share so that others can look out on what is going on. .First off, the service here is horrible. No smiles, no personality, no anima, nothing. Very dry, as if they are upset at ALL customers. This is after 5 months of visiting this place. .Their coffee is always low, and luke warm at best. Often I have to mix coffee from more than one container to fill a cup. .And the price? How about-the lottery of pricing. The same cup, over multiple visits, from $1.29 to $1.89, for the same cup! .Pricing issue again, they had the same price on Italian Sausage for 5 months. I know due to the line is right next to the hot dogs. 2/$2.29 or 1 for $1.49. So today I figure I would buy two. Guess what? $3.89 for 2. Huh? I asked and and the short lady insisted ,"oh no." So then I told her just one, now one is $1.99. So.... I showed her the price after and she was silent. They spoke to the other guy in a language other than English, and still nothing. So I asked about the overcharge, instead she just removed the little sign, and told me it was wrong. Apparently it was wrong for 5 months! I just went to pick up a bottle of water. I was starting to pay the cashier when, what I am guessing was, a disgruntled customer THREW HIS X LARGE FULL CUP OF PINK SODA AT ME. There were 2 employees working. Neither of them apologized to me or acknowledged that my right side was soaked in pink soda. I even asked them for a towel and got no response. I stop here all the time (only because it's on my way to work) to get the few quick items might need, so I figured it was time to review the place. It's clean, pretty well-stocked, and the staff is courteous. The parking lot is kind of small, but that's usually not a huge problem. The "fresh" foods aren't always super fresh, but sadly, that's exactly what I expect from local convenience stores. Only complaint really is that the front of the store seems to be a fairly popular bum hang-out. Sadly, again, it's what I;ve come to expect around here. Sigh. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!I went in to play the lottery.I didn't have a pen on me & there was no pen in sight so I kindly asked the employee behind the counter if I could borrow a pen to fill out my lottery ticket. I filled out my ticket and gave the pen back to another employee in the store. Before I knew it, the employee who originally let me borrow the pen started screaming at me that I stole his pen. I told him that I gave it to the other employee but I did not steal his pen. I told them they could even rewind their video surveillance for proof. The male employee continued to yell at me in front of the entire store even going as far as to tell me if I ever borrow a pen when I give it back I need to put it directly in his hand. So much rude behavior to a patron of your store come on and it was all over again that I was wrongly accused of stealing. You should never talk negatively and yell at your store's customers when we are the ones that are bringing in money to your store. Also, you should never treat any woman like they are dirt the way this male employee treated me as a woman. Learn how to respect people in general and especially your customers that give you money to put food in your mouth and a roof over your head. Thankfully I didn't give them the satisfaction of a tit for tat yelling match I just walked out of the store. This is my go to place. They have everything I could ever want. They have amazon lockers and a redbox and a citi ATM. The place seems well run and well stocked. I'm in here almost every night getting something. There are some sketchy characters in the parking lot at night and I've seen quite a bit of police activity but just use common sense.
