I am writing to report a very disappointing experience at a CVS Pharmacy located at 2809 S Sossaman Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212 on June 26 at approximately 12:25 PM. When I arrived to pick up three prescriptions for my household, there were only two customers ahead of me. The first customer was assisted and left without issue. The second customer, however, stood at the counter for close to five minutes before being acknowledged. After eventually receiving service, she left--and I later saw her returning to the store with her prescription in hand. When it was my turn, I stepped up to the counter and waited nearly 10 minutes (approximately 9 minutes total) without any acknowledgment at all--no greeting, no eye contact, and no indication that anyone would assist me. During this time, there were at least three CVS staff members behind the counter actively working on prescriptions, yet no one made any effort to assist or even acknowledge waiting customers. Additionally, a customer at the drive-thru window appeared to be waiting for an extended period as well and ultimately left after being told someone would "be right with her." This level of service is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Even during busy periods, acknowledging customers and providing basic communication should be a priority. I had stopped using this CVS location back in late 2019 due to similar concerns, and unfortunately, this recent experience confirms that the issues have not improved. As a result, I will once again be looking for a different pharmacy. I hope CVS takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements to customer service and workflow at this location. read more

Long drive through wait times every time I come and I've had so many problems here. One time saying I picked up my medication when I hadn't. Always looks to be plenty of staff but somehow always a wait. read more

The employees at this CVS are always so helpful and welcoming! I come here at least 4 times a week and receive EXCELLENT customer service from whoever is working for floor and the registers:)). Appreciate these friendly faces and always eager to help attitudes! read more

Pharmacist Ha Phi was by far the rudest, inconsiderate and unprofessional person who lacks basic customer service or empathy. The statements that she made to me regarding my 5 month old daughters prescription issues had so much attitude that I genuinely felt like I was talking to a rude immature teenager. I was genuinely shocked at the way I watched her talk and treat other customers as Well as myself. I have never had an issue with CVS, actually prefer CVS to others but now I will not be using CVS again. Awaiting a call back from the Pharmacy manager. This location has many complaints but curious if anything gets resolved or any action taken to improve customer service. read more

Everything was bad poor attitude zero help went to grab a few syringes for my meds after waiting in line for 20 minutes oh we are so short staffed can you come in to get 4 syringes no I just waited . This staff is terrible read more

Automated service for the pharmacy is ridiculous. Tried to call in a refill on a prescription. Automated kept telling me that I had 4 auto refills. Would not even give me a chance to put in my RX number. Finally hung up. Walgreens here I come. read more

This is the closest pharmacy to my home so I keep trying to give them a chance. Sometimes they are great, other times like today they are just awful. Often prices are wrong or they have issues finding correct prescriptions. Today, the pharmacy rep on the phone (did not give his name) was SO rude and unhelpful. He refused to listen to me or allow me to explain anything. He just shut me down and completely refused to do anything remotely close to his job. These prescriptions are so vital and to be dismissed like this was so inconsiderate. I will now be driving further for a pharmacy that has their act together and treats customers better. read more

You cannot talk to an actual person in the pharmacy. You have to leave a voicemail. This is totally frustrating if I could go to another pharmacy I would but unfortunately, my insurance I have to go through Cvs, which sucks. read more

I highly recommend it. They are always very nice to me, an older handicapped lady, always cheerful, helpful, and the store is well supplied. It's my corner market in a way. I love their seasonal displays and it seems to have odds and ends that other pharmacies don't carry. I believe it's because CVS is one of the oldest in the Valley and it always lets us special order things. An old friend. A dependable old friend. Keep up the good work. read more

Just came for a quick COVID test (precautionary) and the drive experience was so easy and the people were kind. The pharmacists were super easy to follow and understand and I didn't feel anxious or worried. Good place for quick testing if you need it. read more

Called on Monday to have a prescription transferred, I was told they are short staffed and it might take a couple days. I told the pharmacist that I was leaving the country on Friday and that as long as I could get it by Thursday evening that would be fine. I went by Wednesday to see if it was ready and the tech was incredible rude and told me if I didn't like the service maybe I could find someone to work there! I explained to her the situation and she said they would get to it when they could. Thursday I called and the tech said it was at the bottom of the stack the pharmacist was working on and she put it on the top but couldn't say if it would be done by the evening. Friday morning, I called to see if it was ready, the pharmacist said they had no record of it, to which I explained that I had spoken to him and his tech several times since Monday and yesterday I was told that the script was put at the top of the pile he was working on. I asked him if he had that or not and he said yes??? So, what was he talking about when he said they had no record? Again I explained to him I was leaving the country and had not had my inhaler for a week already and it was urgent that I get it before I leave. I asked him if I come down and sit there until it is filled if that would get it done and he said absolutely not. He went on to say I would have a better chance of getting it if I had my doctor send it in again???? If they can't run the pharmacy maybe they should close it. read more

Horrible experience with the pharmacy! They continue to get my medical insurance mixed up and then charge me full price and confirm they have my correct insurance information. I have spoken with the pharmacy manager repeatedly and I have to continue to provide my insurance information over and over. Then I'm told, "I don't know what happened?" Like really? That's the excuse? He was unapologetic and did not care at all! After multiple times of this, I am now switching my pharmacy and will never go back to CVS. read more

Having worked in retail and the medical field myself, these people are doing great. I have been to this CVS countless times. I am thrown off by some of the remarks/reviews left for this CVS. For example, the urine smell? What in the world? I have never smelled anything other than what a regular CVS should smell like which is clean air? I've never had a foul smell in the store or walking into the store. What I like most about this CVS is I am always greeted as soon as I walk in by the cashier. If there is not a cashier up front they are on the sales floor and will greet me at that point. I have nothing but good things to say about the upfront team members and the same goes with the Pharmacy which is the sole reason for my visits. I have had the pleasure of working with Pharmacist Kyle. He really took the time to go over my medication and went through my concerns with me. He was genuine and more than helpful and to think I pay a $30 copay each time I have simple questions for my Doctor regarding my medication I could have just gone to my Pharmacist where it is free and I learned more from my Pharmacist than my Doctor ... go figure. The staff is nice and friendly. I do want to mention that this Pharmacy is extremely busy. Like no matter what time I come in there are always people in and out of the Pharmacy and there are only a two or three people working the Pharmacy I'm sure to no fault of their own they just happen to be a busy store. I understand sometimes it takes longer to get my medication because they are busy and there have been 30+ people who have dropped off within the hour before me so I am put into a queue. It's very disheartening to see patients yell at these poor techs and Pharmacists when they want their medication in 10 minutes as if they are the only customer the Pharmacy has. I have nothing but great things to say about this Pharmacy. Keep up the good work. read more

Just came into this location because the one I typically frequent's printer was down. I have never had a bad experience until today. I came in, because my previous location said this location would be able to immediately print the pictures. I came in and explained my issue to this older lady. She told me she couldn't print them, and I would have to wait and reorder them. I was in the process of reordering them when she condescendingly asked me if I knew what location I was at. She then told me it would be about two hours. Due to the poor and disrespectful "service" I contacted the other store. They told me it wouldn't take two hours and I could go get them after about five minutes. I did just that, and spoke with another lady. I told her the other store said it would be ready in about five minutes. The older lady butted in and said "I never said that". I explained to her I wasn't talking about her. I asked her name and she rudely responded "Estelle". I found out she was the store manager, yikes. I got my prints and left. Corporate was notified of the horrible customer service. Estelle, if you're reading this, customer service is NOT for you. Go work in a warehouse alone if you don't know how to be respectful to people. read more

The pharmacists here told me I could wait for my prescription so I waited for 15 minutes and then the same guy that I talked to acted like he didn't know me. Started the process all over again. After waiting for MY DOGS PRESCRIPTION-- I received my girlfriends birth control. And on top of that, it wasn't even the correct birth control. Swing and miss after swing and miss. Get you prescription from any other pharmacy. This one is bunk. read more

Worst Pharmacy ever. They say the call your doctor and don't. Fill incorrect perscription. Send text that have nothing to do with you. I moved into this neighborhood 5years ago and would occasionally stop in, but for about the last year the store has a strong urine smell inside. Like somerhing went wrong after they shampooed the carpets. I can barely stand to be in there. read more

They are of course convenient and very close since I can walk there from my house. The store is usually clean. I think if it wasnt for the pharmacy and the OTC stuff they would lose a ton of business because of their prices. Dont go there for candy! The ir staff is pretty friendly and they give out Halloween candy. However they can be disrespectful. I was going to get my wife some medicine in the evening and I saw an employee talking to someone outside and in their conversation I heard some swear words that were not pleasant. They need to be aware of who is around them. I was not happy with this. Oh and if you are going to smoke then please be at least 15 feet from the building and not two feet from the door. read more

I love the pharmacy at this location! It is a little bit out of the way, but they almost always have my prescription ready and the ease of using the drive through to drop off and pick up my prescriptions has been wonderful! The pharmacists always take time to explain the medication to you and answer any questions that you have. They are professional and genuinely nice people and it's my favorite location. I switched to them from Walgreens, because Walgreens gave me the wrong RX's 3 times--scary! I have always received the proper RX from CVS and that consistency, mixed with professionalism is what keeps bringing me back again and again. The management and employees inside the store portion are always more than willing to help me find what I need and are friendly and professional as well. :) read more

The pharmacy is good but the Pharmacy assistant Trista is rude and argues. I had called to inform them of some insurance information because the pharmacist had called my insurance company and they couldnt "find" me. He called my Dr.'s office who called me. Once I figured out why they were unable to find me I called the pharmacy back to give them the needed information. Trista proceeded to argue that the pharmacist had that info and that the problem couldnt have happened. I said im just calling you with information so this wont happen again, and she said, well, he wouldnt have had that problem. Gimme a break. I got involved because he had tried to call my insurance and didnt have the right information! I asked her why she was arguing with me ... geez just take the information and leave your attitude out of it!! Thinking of switching CVS stores!
