DO NOT USE THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM ON THE PHONE FOR PRESCRIPTIONS!! I called this morning at 9:55AM for a prescription refill and easily ordered a refill for my prescription through their automated system. I arrived at the time that I was told to, 1:00pm, and the staff were completely oblivious. They said that there was no record of my order!! Frustrating because I came all the way over here since it was supposedly in stock. Unfortunately I just got screwed over because CVS does not want to connect me to a human being on the phone. The staff has been rude to me all three times I've been here (especially the pharmacy who belittled me about something which was out of my control). They alerted me that my prescriptions were ready yet when I got to the counter to pick them up a few hours later, after waiting 20 minutes in line, they said they weren't ready... So I got to wait more only to find a discrepancy with the amount I was supposed to pay. Apparently she billed my insurance incorrectly and yet when I brought it to their attention... I received a blank stare followed by a nonsensical response. I figured the $20 extra was a small price to pay to get out of there with my sanity in tact. My favorite CVS in the area. It's super convenient and 24 hours. I went in today for my regular prescription. I had to wait a few minutes but I could tell they were doing best to get to everyone in a timely manner. Mitchell was very polite and immediately apologized for the wait. I said that's fine and when I gave her the amount I want on each card she all of a sudden changed the policy and said I can purchase 1. What a rip off! With the recent Walgreens closure across the street, I stopped in here to pick up some Gatorade for my daughter who was sick. I was greeted by a sign (see pic) that's stated "welcome Walgreens customers". Alright, maybe the changed some things......nope! Long line at the front and when I priced the 32oz Gatorade, it had Airport pricing of $2.67 per item. No sale, no Pesky card, just $2.67!!! I left mostly because I didn't want to pay a high price and be forced to wait in a line of 6 people. It's one thing if you got the item (high price)and provide service, but if you have the item (high price) and give crappy service, that where I draw the line. I have been waiting for a prescription that they quoted me at 6pm it will be ready in 1 hour. It has now been 2 hours of me standing waiting for them to call my name. At the two hour mark I asked if they had it ready and they quoted me 10 min. 30 min later the store manager is behind the counter and he tells me "well ya I'm sure they want to go home, so you'll just have to wait bc I can't expediting anything it won't help." Worst pharmacy, pharmacist & workers in pharmacy. They all have no clue what they're doing so I don't even see how this pharmacy is still running. When a prior authorization goes through on a persons insurance and then the dr calls to let you know they've submitted that prior authorization to cvs don't count on them EVER claiming they received it. You'll have to pay out of pocket switch over to another pharmacy and get your meds that way. They're incompetent here it's actually sad how low cvs has gone to keep the pharmacist at this cvs and not hiring a more competent pharmacist who actually knows how to push in a few code and doesn't have an attitude with you. You'll get like 4 different story's too. Just call at different times speak with different pharmacist and whatever the pharmacy "helpers" are called and they'll all give a different answer. read more

This specific location has improved significantly overall with customer service especially the pharmacy team. I've been a patron since it was Longs Drugstore in the 1980's and 1990's. I enjoyed hometown feel of Longs Drugs and disliked when CVS Health acquired majority of the locally owned drug stores all throughout the United States. Originally this location was so frustrating just to fill a prescription and get general refill updates but i'm guessing CVS Health finally did some customer service re-training all throughout; i'm finally seeing progress in my opinion. read more

I absolutely hate this store because the manager was so rude and inappropriate. You would think the manager is who you look to when problems arise but cvs hired this unqualified jerk instead. I went in to get passport photos for my kids. The manager helped me with my 2.5 year old first, which went easily enough; however, when it came time for my 6 month old is when he really lost his composure. After choosing the best photo from the first attempt, their photo system indicted "image fail" because "eyes were not looking straight into camera". Looking at the photo, he was clearly looking into the camera, but I didn't want to accept the photo because it didnt pass. I assume it was because the photo was blurry. He tried convincing me it was the best they were going to get. I asked him to try again. I wanted to get the best ACCEPTABLE photo especially since it's for a federal document! He left us to fix the printer and take care of another line of people. Once he finally came back, he took a second round of photos, but these came out worse than before. Again, he tried selling me the very first photo. I had to decline AGAIN, but this was the point he truly started showing his impatience and frustration. He left to grab a white card board for my son to lay down on to use as a background, but while doing so he began to discuss with his coworkers in a very loud and obnoxious fashion that "she wants me to take a passport picture of her baby! I'm not a professional at this. Do you know how to take a passport picture for a baby?!" that I'm sure everyone in the store could hear. He came back to further reinforce his frustrations to me and said "We're not professionals at this. It's a baby. We shouldn't have to take pictures of babies. This is ridiculous." Maybe he thought I wouldn't mind because he said "no offense" before walking off to attend to the line again. After only 2 attempts and over an hour of wasted time we left with NOTHING. Just because I'm in the photo department DOES NOT make me less of a customer and his attitude toward my kids and me was extremely disrespectful and upsetting. read more

For locations like this, I feel it's less likely someone posts about a good experience since it may be routine to pick up medication/snacks...so I decided to post. Helpful and friendly staff both in store and pharmacy. I had to transfer my prescription to this location and the pharmacist made it super simple for me. She called my other pharmacy to double check I didn't have anything for pick up at the other location. When she went to fill my prescription my usual prescription was not available, however they had another comparable drug available. She filled the order right away, and I was able to pick it up the same day. I was making a photo card and was waiting for an app to download on my phone. Though nothing was wrong and I was just waiting, the staff asked me if I needed help and checked on me multiple times. Lady at checkout was extremely friendly. Since I was working on my photo card by the checkout I noticed in the small amount of time it takes to ring up items, this lady was able to start a convo with the customers leaving them happy. She was not the standard machine like cashier, talking off the usual script. read more

This is the worst CVS I have ever used. I have never been treated so poorly by any business. I waited on my prescription for over a month. I tried calling to speak to the pharmacist and was placed on lengthy holds (15-20min) before even speaking to someone. Once I finally got ahold of someone, they put me on hold again only to hang up on me. If only that happened once, I may have let it go. By the 6th call and being hung up on too many times after being placed on lengthy holds, I I will never use this pharmacy ever again. read more

Honestly there are a few very nice employees in the pharmacy here, the rest however are beyond rude and extremely incompetent. I can't tell you how many times I've called this pharmacy listening to the stupid background music for over an hour each time while they just keep letting the phone ring and ring.. until just now when I called and someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up with out a word... i mean really people if you hate your job SO MUCH THEN QUIT! Find a NEW job and QUIT! Don't take out your unhappiness on patients who RELY AND COUNT ON YOUR CARE! It's absolutely unfair. Would you treat your mom like that? Your brother? Your sister? Or your dad or even your friends? Because all of your patients are all moms, sisters, brothers, fathers and friends to someone! The pharmacy here is a joke. Even if you go early you'll still have to wait in a long line. Almost all the pharmacy techs are rude, especially the lady with tattoos and the short black hair that's shaved on one side. I think I'll take my business back to Walgreens again. read more

The staff is rarely helpful and the pharmacy rarely has the medication I need in stock. The lack of customer service is appalling.

Let me preface my review by saying that the staff at this store are wonderful and are in no way responsible for the abysmal review. Corporate needs to get its act together, acknowledge through metrics or anecdotal reviews like this one that this is a high-volume pharmacy, and allocate the resources necessary to reduce wait times, curb pickup lines 15 customers long, and ultimately provide their overworked pharmacy staff with what they need to do their jobs. I know common sense and the retail industry rarely dovetail, but this store is a perfect example of how a multi-billion dollar company fails both its customers and its personnel. This is my all time favorite CVS. Not just because it's super close to my house, but hat I always find my self going to it more often than not, at night and they are the nicest and most patient for it being late at night. I basically know all of the workers and have had a great experience every single time. They are always fully stocked and the layout of the overall store is so nice and easy to follow. I definitely recommend using the pharmacy and just overall shopping at this CVS. Great workers and a very clean and organized store. read more

The only reason I shop at this CVS and not the CVS on Marguerite Parkway, is due to the fact Tracy Segura works in the cosmetic department. She goes above and beyond for me. Friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and knows her products. Customer Service and knowledge together is almost impossible to find. Tracy has both. I hope CVS appreciates the job she does for them. I have never had such a difficult time getting a prescription. About a week ago I had come down with a pretty bad case of strep throat. It was the routine doctors visit, then leaving with an antibiotic prescription. I have moved to mission viejo from laguna niguel, which i thought wouldn't create a problem. I went home, too weak to wait out the prescription being filled. I figured i would received a CVS courtesy call as i have always received one , just as i have always received one in the past. 3 hours went by. I called, and i talked to a man who had said they have not received anything under my name. So i called my doctors office. They had said they had sent it and it they would be send it. Sooo i called back. This time i talked to the rudest lady. She was short and rude on the phone. I was trying to be nice and direct. I understand she has a high stress job around unhappy sick people. But there's no excuse to handle yourself in such an unprofessional manner. I have never been so offended. I had to call my docs office for a third time, and requested the doctors office call it into the la paz store, and there was no issue, it was filled within 15 minutes. I will never go back to this pharmacy. i don't care how close and convent it is to my house. Go to laz location!! You've been warned!!! read more

We recently began using this CVS pharmacy for our prescriptions and are very unhappy with the level of service. Following are some of the issues which you as a business and your clients should be aware of: 1) one of my husbands prescriptions required a prior authorization from our insurance which his doctor obtained effective thru 02/2017. The pharmacy staff at CVS after successfully filling the prescription once then said the insurance would not cover it and they had no knowledge of the preauthorization. So we had to waste or time calling the insurance company, calling the doctors office, waiting for a return call from the doctors office and then having to have the doctors refax. 2) several days ago my husband was on hold on 20 minutes to determine if a prescription was ready, while he was on hold, I drove to CVS, waited in the pick-up line since we had filled thru the auto dialer only to be told the prescription was not ready and I had to get into a different line to determine when the prescription would be ready. I then waited in this line only to be told that it would ready until the next day. During my physically waiting two lines and the drive BOTH to and from CVS my husband is STILL ON HOLD. 3) Related to abve lengthy hold time on the phone, while I waited in the store, only 2 out of 5 staff members even picked up any calls. There is a call announce feature saying how many callers are on hold. Most callers just gave up snd hung up. 4) While I was in the store, I asked the clerk if we could get set-up for text notification, she replied "we don't offer that service", a customer behind me over the conersation and interjected with "well I get texts from CVS for prescriptions". The clerk then checked into it further in her system and found the right field to set-up. 5) when we first switched to CVS, we attempted to fill our very first prescription and they said "we don't handle scripts for Anthem Bluecross that's contracted thru Target". Anthem is probably the biggest medical insurance company and they only work with Target... ? I called Anthem and they said FALSE CVS is wrong and the rep even kindly offered to call CVS. CVS I sincerely hope you read this review and see the chronic issues which this particular branch is having and make the necessary changes to at least provide SOME marginal level of customer service. read more

I absolutely love my CVS! Its super close to my home and the staff are wonderful! Always say hello and are willing to help especially the beautiful girl who works in the beauty section. I dont know her name im sorry. She is such a sweetie and is so helpful. I also have to mention the pharmacy. First the good news...the pharmacist was very pleasant & helpful. The rest is all downhill. Facility is in desperate need of a facelift. Not dirty but very run-down. Very surprising since the store is located in Mission Viejo. The restroom is locked. One needs a code to use and the walls have graffiti on them.
