This is my goto drug store when I am at work. It is convenient and that is the main reason I go here. I prefer CVS over Duane Reade anyday and it all comes down to the self serve checkout stations. I cannot standing waiting for ten minutes in a line at Duane Reade. So if you want to stop in and get out quickly CVS is the way to go. read more

Clean and well organized store. All on one level for easy shopping. Recently added a "grab & go" food section right at the entrance. Full pharmacy, greeting cards, photo developing, and grocery in addition to all the expected pharmacy items. Great holiday specific section also. Open 24/7. Cashiers at front but also 8 self checkout kiosks. There is always a customer service rep available in case the machines acts up. read more

Ordered a 5X7 photo online and went to local CVS in Hicksville to pick up. They advertise 5X7 but the actual photo is printed on a 6X8 photo paper. It will not fit into a 5X7 frame. Clerk tried to tell me I was wrong and went to the aisle to get a frame. Photo did not fit. They offered to give money back but how ridiculous is that. read more

To All CVS shoppers in Manhattan, NY, CVS has decided to no longer post weekly ads for all Manhattan locations on their website. Since 2015 CVS no longer has provided weekly fliers in their Manhattan locations. They call it "a marketing decision." The only way to reverse this decision is to contact the offices of both the NYC Public Advocate and the NYS Attorney General to voice your displeasure. read more

Unfortunately,being in Manhattan, they don't honor the sale price of the regular ad you get in Queens. they have their own ad with sales items. I only buy the sale items in Manhattan. If the items are not on sale, the prices are steeped. I always used my Extracare card. read more

I hope you are suing the company that is responsible for your auto check-out units. It's a great idea but yours are sub-sub-standard. Do they actually attempt to weigh the plastic bag and contents to prevent the customer from taking goods that they do not scan? This strikes me as ridiculous and seems to cause technical problems and confusion. On the other hand, the young lady that checked out my purchases on the register across from the malfunctioning auto units was very nice today. Keep that up. Pharmacy assistance from the young man at the drop off/assistance window was impeccable for me and the other customers I observed. read more

This pharmacy has caused me some SERIOUS financial issues twice now by not properly handling insurance issues. The good, they do try to fix it when it's pointed out. The bad, god help you if you need any backup information for your ruined credit or insurance provider. One major issue due to a recent mistake in billing has now led me to an overdraft of $2400+ with my bank. I call to get a record of the refund transaction they processed and once again- we can't research any previous transactions. Really? Funny you were able to tell my what my copays were for the last two years... Just BAD, BAD service. Filing a fraud alert with Mastercard against them tomorrow, it's my only recourse at this point. And twice burned, I'm switching to a new pharmacy altogether. read more

I shop at this CVS almost every morning on my way to work. I wanted to share how friendly the staff is at this location. They always greet you as you walk in and are anxious to assist you in anyway possible. I always find what I need an even if I do self check out I find that the staff are always available to assist. I had to share a comment because it is hard to find places with good customer service and this place definitely gives you a peace of mind that there are still good customer service establishments around! read more

If the CVS website made giving feed back easy I would have done that. I know I will sound like a Karen. Went to this CVS. As I was entering this CVS an employee (young skinny guy with frizzy hair) let the heavy door that he was closing, slam right into me. I was shocked. He said nothing to me so I asked if he was going to apologize. He looked at me quizzically. Then instead of apologizing he started yelling at me and said "I'm not even supposed to be working the door." Huh? This poor employee had no idea of personal courtesy. He also didn't understand that customers ultimately pay his salary do he should be polite and nice. I know it was a Karen thing to do but I asked a (very nice and helpful) young female employee to get the manager. She did her best but couldn't locate that person. When I told her what happened she apologized for it. That's all I wanted. CVS, please train or screen your people better. read more

Pharmacy staff was both very rude and unfriendly. They were not helpful or transparent when I asked questions or expressed concern. Never going back and recommend that nobody goes to this location ever as long as they maintain their current staff. read more

Ok, i like this store. Convenient right across the street from where i work. The door greeters are very friendly, but there is one cashier that is a total Beyotch! This lil girl needs an azz whooping. The older woman that used to work there, was a dream. I miss her. This girl/woman is soo rude when she's at the registers, i will wait eventhough another line might be full. She looks at me and i keep right on waiting until another register opens up. The managers are nice except one chick. Total attitude. Yea you know who you are. You're the only female management there. read more

As a longtime CVS devotee (that's a thing, right?), I'm still getting used to the Duane Reade domination in NYC. As such, I find comfort in the fact that there is a large, shiny CVS on the corner of 42nd and 3rd, close to my work. The pharmacy folks are friendly and the store itself is always well-stocked. Minus 1 star because the checkout process at the front can be a pain (usually crowded and cashiers can be slow). read more

cvs rite aid and duane reade need to be called out for not stocking any iphone or samsung chargers.. not even for 5 or 6 they are not serving the community! in nyc had no charger lost it all three stores had no chargers that can be dangerous these stores are not stocking cellphone chargers frivolous things lots of candy no cell phone chargers for people this can be an emergency for anybody and they stupidly dont carry cell phone chargers the people that work in these stores andn management and corporate haven't a clue if they are not carrying phone chargers!! doing a bad job!! read more

The prices are decent but not wonderful. However, there are decent coupons once in a while that get printed on my receipt or that come to by email. I use a decent number of those deals. read more

For a Manhattan pharmacy this place is above average in spaciousness (you might even think you were in a suburban CVS for a second). It's well laid out and prices are quite competitive for the area. read more

Just witnessed one of your employees throw several people out of the store who were in there to charge cell phones. How upsetting. People are desperate and walking miles to be able to buy food and use electricity after Sandy wiped them out. Every other business in the area is helping out. CVS is humiliating them. This review is about the pharmacy. Not only are they slow as molasses (don't believe them when they say they can fill a prescription in 10 minutes), but twice now, they've filled two prescriptions for me that you shouldn't take together without saying a word. Exceptional customer service can be experienced at this particular location. I walked into this CVS and the exact bottled beverage I was looking for was staring me in the face in the open refrigerator immediately opposite the doors. I headed straight to the lanes and noticed that there were only self-checkouts available. As soon as the cashier (I wish I got her name!) saw me looking apprehensively, she came over and asked if I needed help. I told her I had a coupon for the drink and she said that it's no problem, just swipe it over the glass. The machine wouldn't take the coupon even though we both saw that it was valid. She went to get the manager's key card and came back in 30 seconds to manually enter the coupon. I was out of there in 3 minutes. Someone needs to give that lady a raise. read more

I just had a pretty bad experience with Customer Service at this CVS. First, let me say that my profession is in Customer Service/Hospitality as a Director of Operations so I perhaps expect too much Service wise but that being said, Here are the issues. I needed a type of medicine that I had active prescriptions for at CVS but the vile broke and I was on my way into work so couldn't get a back up vile. Without this I would be in a very bad spot today and we can leave it at that. Anyway, Jeffrey Quinto basically just refused to be helpful and help me get this medicine. He kept telling me to call the insurance but I would ask him to and he would say I needed to. I had this issue a few years ago too and that Pharmacist was very helpful and this was not the case. After two phone calls and 40 minutes I got what I needed after Jeffrey did what I asked and called the insurance. This could've all been avoided if he was willing to listen. TERRIBLE customer service. He was already gone when I picked up the medicine and the person working there when I asked for Jeffrey's name said "well, he's the overnight" like that is an excuse. I am very disappointed with all the time they wasted. read more

The prices charged at the register are consistently HIGHER than the posted prices on the shelf. Often the attended register is closed and if you don't want to use the self checkout you have to wait a long time before someone opens the register. The worst CVS that I have ever been in. read more

With the exception of the photo department, I am impressed with the customer service at this store. The cashiers and the workers in the aisles are friendly, helpful and very courteous! They graciously greet you when you enter the store and and they all seem to be in a good mood which is a nice treat in a midtown store! My complaint with this CVS, though, is the understaffed and poorly run photo department, which has defective machines! There is basically no customer service available to help customers with printing their photos from the machines AND the lady in the photo department tried to charge me for the distorted and unsatisfactory photos that printed through their self-service machine. When I printed photos from the self-service machine, they all came out with one inch of the photo missing. The busy lady behind the photo department counter said it was my responsibility for the faulty prints, and she said I should have "cropped" all 20 of the pictures printed. How was I to know that the machine automatically cuts off an inch of your photos? It was horrible advice she gave me, and I will never bring photos to print here again. Strangely (and fortunately), aside from the horrible photo department at this CVS, the rest of the store is actually nice.. read more
